For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am in a burning and itching nightmare. I’ve used Monistat once years ago, and it was fine. I’m not sure if they’ve changed the ingredients or what, but I’m on the verge of tears right now. I took Monistat 1 tonight and woke up two hours later with SEVERE itching and burning. Ran to the bathroom and cleaned up, but it's just been worse sitting here. I started to think that maybe I was having an allergic reaction and considered going to the ER, so naturally, I googled my symptoms and found this site. First off, thank you, ladies, for sharing because now I know I’m not at the end of my life. Second, who decided this is a suitable product to treat YIs?? The way everyone else has described is perfect: volcano, fire ants, poison ivy, chili sauce. I’m literally squirming right now. Gonna go take a shower and hope it helps a tad. Doesn’t seem likely, but I can’t just sit here. Anyway, just go to your doctor, go to a walk-in clinic, get a pill, just DO NOT use this product!!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT use Monistat if you are sensitive. I am very sensitive to everything. I used it on Friday night, and it lit me on fire. It is now Thursday, almost a week later, and I am still so raw and blood red. Something in the ingredient I had to be allergic to. I have read over reviews, so maybe I wasn’t allergic to it because it has done other people this way. Do NOT use it, just go to the doctor."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This product should be pulled from the shelves. Like all the other reviews, I was taking antibiotics, and I must say-ladies, SAVE YOUR VAGINAS! I would rather die than put my body through this nightmare again. They say use before bedtime... how am I supposed to fall asleep when my vagina is literally getting ROASTED IN A BONFIRE? The itch... the unbearable itch, oh my gosh... no words can describe that feeling. The itch is all over... it's inside, it's outside, and it DOESN'T GO AWAY! You can't do anything but scratch and cry. And I thought the YI was bad? I literally thought I was having an allergic reaction to this product. This stuff should be illegal."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not buy!!! Monistat 3 pre-filled app. is the worst. I ended up in urgent care the next morning from the intense burning, swelling, and a horrible reaction to this. I will never use this product again. I am not sure what they changed in this, but if you have ever had a yeast infection, go to the doctor. Monistat is not worth it any longer...."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omg. I have had maybe 3 YIs in my life. I have used apple cider vinegar, which typically works. OTC prescription, easy. This is my first time using Monistat 3, and I am losing it. I am on day 2 and I don't know why I went back after day 1. After the first dose, I thought I was having an allergic reaction with how itchy my vag was. Definitely way worse than the YI itself. Day 2 is a little easier. It's still very uncomfortable. I will not be using the 3rd dose. I will say, however, the morning after the 1st dose, my vagina did feel a lot better. But I don’t think 2 hours of a flaming, itchy vagina is worth it. I’d rather have the YI."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I just used the three-day pack of Monistat for the first time. Right after inserting the cream, I felt like everything down there was on fire! I sat with it for about thirty minutes, hoping the pain would subside. I ended up pushing the cream out and wiping away all traces of it. While wiping, I noticed some blood. I'm really scared that it was a really, really bad allergic reaction. Still burning and red down there! Help!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Holy bleeping bleep, this is ungodly. I applied the 3-day cream first dose about 45 minutes ago and immediately started the absolute worst burning sensation of my whole life. It was just a mild yi, and I am trying not to claw my skin off. Will never do this again. Had to Google to make sure I wasn't having some horrible allergic reaction, but apparently this is just what it does. Oh my God. Help. I tried applying the external cream, but that just made it worse. Tried wiping everything with a warm washcloth, and that worked for about 30 seconds. It's 3 am. The comments here are the only thing getting me through this hell. Gah!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wish I had read these reviews before using this lava acid. These reviews have me laughing through my pain, but make no mistake, DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT! I can’t believe the burning I am feeling. I took Monistat last night, inserted the little ball of medication (I hesitate to call it that because I truly believe this is an acid or perhaps lava shaped into a ball), and put the cream on the outer parts. The burning was immediate. I used a cold compress to cool it down, thinking maybe it was supposed to be like this. Took a Zyrtec hoping that would help if this was an allergic reaction. Took a shower this morning and did my best to clean the whole area of this acid, but I can’t get whatever that was that I inserted into my vajayjay out, so I guess I’m just going to suffer through this until it’s all dissolved and gone. Praying this is over soon. My sister said this product wouldn’t be on the market if it burned a man’s penis, and that it would be immediately removed from the market. This made me laugh, but sadly it’s true. This is unacceptable!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Thank goodness I found this site! I used the first insert about half an hour ago, and I was on my knees crying like a baby over the burn! I told my husband it was better to give birth. I am dreading day 2 and 3! I really hope this works!!! I am glad I'm not crazy, I thought I was having an allergic reaction!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have never been in so much pain in my entire life. I have never had a yeast infection before and took this stuff and instantly thought I was allergic or dying. I sincerely wish I would have read these reviews before I wasted my money for the worst night of my life. I think this medicine truly might be a joke to torture women, and if you took this medicine, you know I am far from being dramatic."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This product was invented by someone awful to torture women. Besides the miserable itch caused by the evil hot pepper cream, I am completely covered head to toe in itchy red hives. I finished the 3-day treatment 2 days ago, and I can’t determine if the itching and burning I’m feeling is chemical burns, remaining yeast, or the allergic reaction I’m suffering. I want to scream all the time because my whole body itches from the hives. I’m popping Benadryl as often as I safely can. This is the worst ever!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT: Remedy below if you already have: I really wish I had read these reviews before I tried Monistat. This past Friday, I felt a yeast infection coming on. I've had a few before, but normally they go away without any treatment. I was using coconut oil every night, yet, this did not help. I decided to use Monistat 1. Big, big mistake. It burned me even worse than before. They should not be allowed to sell this in stores. I did some research and found that many women are having allergic reactions or even worse chemical burns! REMEDY: I am telling you this right now that you need to get this medicine out. I filled my bathtub with warm water and poured some apple cider vinegar (unfiltered) in the tub. Go to town and wash it out. When I got out, I felt instant relief. I took some Benadryl (25 mg), and my symptoms went away. I don't know if my yeast infection went away or if the Monistat helped a tiny bit. All I know is that I was highly allergic to the stuff."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Let’s paint you a picture: You are peacefully in a deep slumber, drifting in a forest with beams of sunlight peeking through, kissing your skin. Suddenly, at 3:45 am, you are awakened by what could only be Zeus and Hades fighting in your womb. Thunderbolts and hellfire ripping your uterus and labia to shreds. You are reminded that you inserted an egg of death lined with ghost pepper powder into your lady bit prior to drifting off into paradise. All you can do is cup your poor lady part and pray that the nuclear warfare ceases. Twenty minutes pass by, now you’re worried that maybe this is an adverse reaction, so you do what any sane person does: research for reviews, only to find that there is a tribe of women that also had their vaginas doused in the nectar of 852 demons wrung out into one cup. Eventually, I fell back asleep, only to wake with an immense fear of unclenching my biscuit and molten wasp venom seeping out. All I’m saying is, call your doctor and get the tiny magic pill instead."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I want to start by saying this page is my saving grace. The first day I used this, I absolutely cried. I felt like I had a volcano in my vagina. Once the burn alleviated slightly, I felt an INSANE itch. I immediately thought I was having an allergic reaction. It was so bad I considered going to the ER. Then I found this page and realized it was a not-so-normal but normal side effect. The “slight” increase in burning and itching has to be one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever read. I did use an ice pack to help. The second night, the burning was still bad. By the third night (last night), the itching was the worst part. Every night I came to this page and I’m telling you it feels so great to know other people are going through this as well. I’ve never had a yeast infection, and I couldn’t get an appointment right away, so I tried Miconazole 7. Hopefully, it works."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Thank you a million times to all you other ladies who posted! 2100 hour inserted ovulation and went to bed. 0015 awoke to burning, urgent need to pee. Soooooo tender!!! Had to use a damp washcloth to blot myself dry, the thought of wiping with toilet paper was frightening. 0020 - 0200 burning increased, it started to spread backwards as the lava flowed out...ahhh, the burning there as well! 0200 up and looking at side effects/reviews. 0210 in the shower doing squats to push out any remaining medication. Cool water and mild soap. Gentle blotting to dry. 0235, in my kitchen sitting on a wonderful ice pack! THANK YOU ALL FOR POSTING! I thought I would have to go to the ER for this horrible reaction."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had to take back-to-back regimens of an antibiotic. Bingo! YI. I haven't had one in years, but I'd used Monistat with no problems then, so yesterday I got the seven-day. Thank GOD for all of your comments, which I stumbled upon while searching to see if the EXCRUCIATING burning and itching that started seconds after I inserted day one's dose last night was 'normal.' I was MISERABLE and was convinced that I was having a severe allergic reaction. Some of your comments made me laugh, and after a couple of hours, the FIRE finally subsided enough that I managed to quit cursing, scratching, and chewing on the inside of my bottom lip. Natural childbirth twice was a cakewalk in comparison! Day two's dose in a few minutes. Pray for me, please!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I first used the Monistat little egg thing earlier this year before bed. Was awake all night in extreme pain and burning, vowing to never use the product again. I thought maybe I had an allergic reaction? I was crying the whole night. Fast forward to this week: felt a little off again and was not able to get in to see a doctor. I was in a time crunch and desperate to get everything back to normal this week, so I decided to try a little bit of the Monistat outside cream. Nope. I barely used any, and it feels like my vag is gonna burn off. I would not recommend this to anyone. The side effects are simply 10x worse than your original infection... someone needs to fix this product."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so first. Thank you for the hilarious reviews, but also I am feeling your pain. Even before reading the box, I knew it was going to burn because even things like 'hypoallergenic' and 'for sensitive skin' will irritate my lady parts. So I knew it would be a bad ride, but anything would be better than the already rashy burning feeling and other symptoms that come along with a Y/I, right? RIGHT?! So many wrongs. It feels like something with long, pointy crawls is trying to tear its way out of there. Oh, and the topical cream?! Instant horrible reaction. Made the itching and burning feeling go from bearable to oh my god, I just burned off my inner and outer labia. Woke up, and it still burns. I must endure 2 more nights of this torture. Pantyliners really do help."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I purchased a generic 7-day miconazole cream to treat a yeast infection, and I really wish I had read the online reviews first. Five minutes after inserting the cream on the first night, I began to experience an unbearable itch inside my vagina. I was worried that I was allergic or that something was really wrong, and then I read online what everyone else was experiencing too. The burning came in waves, and I finally was able to find relief when using an antihistamine and putting an ice pack on my vulva for a while. I'm on my second night now, and I'm really hoping that tonight will be better! On the downside, I realized that I used half of my cream in one night when it's supposed to last me seven. Not happy about this at all!"

Day 1, less than 3 minutes after inserting that ovule of death, my nether regions were on fire - just itching and burning. It hurt so bad I thought I was having an allergic reaction!! Like a dummy, I tried to use the anti-itch cream in the kit, and WOW, my vag swelled up twice its size. The burning is so bad I can literally feel my heartbeat down there. DO NOT USE THIS!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am lying in bed in excruciating pain. I was on antibiotics and had the beginnings of a probably mild yeast infection, but the guy I’ve been seeing is coming to visit me tomorrow. I decided better to be safe than sorry and to treat it and bought the Monistat 1-Day cream. Considering the fact that my labia are now the size of balloons and I’m lying in bed with ice packs on my poor vag, I think sex is pretty much out of the question. Thanks, Monistat, for the horrible product and ruining my love life. I’m just praying it’ll be a little better tomorrow, but based on all these other reviews, that seems doubtful. I wish I’d read them first. I had no idea this could happen. I’ve used OTC YI creams a few times and never had a reaction like this. I came online to see if maybe I was having an adverse reaction and should possibly go to the ER. Nope, it seems like this is common. Horrible product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got a yeast infection, and so I bought this hoping it would clear it up quickly. I usually take Diflucan, but it was a weekend and I couldn't get to the doctor. Inserted the ovule at 11 pm, and by 3 am my hoo-ha was on FIRE! It was the most excruciating pain and burning I have ever felt down there. I wiped it all away as much as possible and flushed/rinsed with warm water. I took some Benadryl and put diaper cream on my inflamed lady bits. The burning has gone down quite a bit, but I am still in a lot of pain. I will never take Monistat again! Their website says a 'small percentage' of women are allergic. I think it's more than they are telling us! DO NOT use this for a YI. You will be sorry!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used Monistat 1 a long time ago, and it was a burning hell right away till I pulled the damn thing out and tried to wash myself out as much as I could. Well, today I used a CVS brand of the same medicine, thinking that it would be less strong. I got an allergic reaction to the antibiotic and didn't want to go to the doctor. Well, after the first 30 minutes, it was fine, and I was relieved thinking that this is it, but NO. It burns, it itches, it's gone, so I can't pull it out anymore. The cream doesn't make a difference. It's been one hour and 600 mg of ibuprofen, and I'm still hoping for the better. Girls, please don't buy it. Spare yourself the experience.... I have no idea what they test it on, but it's not humans."
