For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is by far the WORST medication I've ever used. I've used the seven-day treatment before and had no problems. But I just used the three-day, and I've been in HELL for the last five hours. It's now 2:30 a.m., and I still can't sleep. The only thing that seems to work is a cold washcloth down there, and even that is hit or miss. It's swollen, bright red, and it feels like it's itching and burning all the way up my vagina. Never. Again."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wish I had a time machine so I could rewind to an hour ago and read these reviews first. My vagina is on fire!!!! I wasn’t sure if I had a yeast infection, but I’ve had itching and burning the past few days, so I picked this up hoping for some relief. Now I’m laying here praying for the sweet release of pain. I tried to tolerate it, but after ten minutes I couldn’t take it anymore and washed it off. Then I got up in there with a mirror and my vagina is red. Like fire engine red. And so, so swollen, and the itching and burning is unreal. Please, let the tale of my burning red vagina be your red flag. Run far away from this aisle and never return."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Decided to try this medication over the counter, all I have to say is it is evil! This medicine burned me instantly. It was the worst pain I ever felt. It also caused intense itching and swelling in my vagina. Lord, I tried so hard to deal with the discomfort, but I was in the bathroom soaking in the tub trying to wash it away. DO NOT TRY THIS MEDICINE! It should be taken off the market. It was worse than the YI itself."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Update: I finally went to the OB/GYN after excruciating burning and severe swelling. Guess what? They said I had a chemical burn. They said they never recommend this product to patients due to high alcohol content along with other irritants. They prescribed me a yeast pill and told me to use Desitin diaper cream for babies instead. Do not buy if you want to save your vag!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "LADIES. The first two times I tried Monistat, I had an awful experience just like everyone else did. Such terrible burning and itching. I was afraid to take it again, but this most recent YI I got was just too awful to bear, and I knew Monistat had worked for me in the past, be it painful or not. This time it was fine! All I did differently was take ibuprofen so the swelling and pain would subside, and then lay in bed pants-less so the air could get down there and reduce the irritation and itchiness. After waiting a little while and letting all the aggravated skin settle, I then put in the applicator. The key is to NOT use the medication when your vagina is all irritated. Lay in bed and relax a little first."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got the off-brand 7-day treatment. Boy, can I say I'm on the 5th day, and it still burns! Not as bad, but after I put the treatment in, it still burns like hell! I thought after the 3rd day it was supposed to start going away. I also started my period on day 3 of the treatment, which makes everything so much worse. I'm miserable. I just hope this cream actually works. Itching and burning are gone. Swelling finally went down, but when I put the medication in, it's complete torture, I just want to cry. It's almost unbearable, but I deal with it because I just want this thing to go away."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was trying to naturally heal a YI using apple cider vinegar, which was working but just taking too long for me (I was about a week into it). I decided to try the Monistat 1 'egg' product. I woke up in the middle of the night with extreme itching and burning, I had to shower at 3:00 am to try to get this stuff off of me. The following morning, I was so red and swollen I thought my lady parts were going to fall off. It was a horrible experience. I will be going to my doctor if I experience another yeast infection. NOT WORTH THE PAIN."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am convinced Monistat was created by men who hate women! I have tried everything to get this intense burning to stop, nothing helps. A shower helped for a few minutes, but the burning is back along with swelling, and it feels like my inner vagina is having convolutions. Never ever again. I wanted fast relief from the YI, now I wish I had those same problems instead of this “cure.”"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, right off the bat, this is kind of an unusual review as I witnessed my girlfriend use this product and immediately turn into this raging monster. To top it all off, as any guy would do, I made the mistake of asking her if it is really that bad. Boy, should I have not said that! I have never in my life seen her more pissed off, angry, and amused all at the same time. To make up for all these comments, I got on my laptop ASAP and luckily found this website with so many hilarious reviews. I read these out loud to her, and it seemed to calm her down. Now, to reiterate what she described this experience as: 'It burns like icy hot in my little pinky. It feels like someone sprinkled pepper and is rubbing it in every corner, everywhere, and while this is happening, a swarm of bees also stung me down there. It feels like my vagina has never been this swollen before. I wanna cut it off.'"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was the first time I've tried miconazole and got the 3-day applicator. My yeast infection gave me really bad swelling and burning, but shortly after using this product, the burning got so intense I couldn't sleep anymore. You couldn't pay me to finish days 2 and 3. Worst pain ever."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG, worst product ever!!! So, 2 days ago, I had some itching and discharge. I knew it was yeast, as I had been taking antibiotics for having a sinus infection. So, I thought I would be proactive and get the 3-day Monistat to clear it up. Honey, it made it worse!!! I felt like gas was poured down there, and somebody struck a damn match!!! SMH, I just left to go to the ER because I could not take the pain anymore!!! It caused me chemical burns, swelling, and made the itching worse. Will never use again!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my God. I wish. I prayed to God I would have read these comments before I used this stuff. I’ve never written a review, but I had to. Please, if you see this before you take it, rethink everything... I am 8 months pregnant. Had to take antibiotics for a severe sinus infection. Then this happened - my first yeast infection. I know I’m a strong woman, and this stuff had me crying. I was pacing around the room in tears because of the amount of immense pain I was, and still am, in. I’m on vacation for my fiancé’s brother's wedding, and my doctor called me in the prescription, but I’m allergic to the category it falls into so I took this. I don’t know what to do. I will not be able to endure this pain again, and I seriously can’t use another day of it. I’m throbbing down there, swollen, and it burns. I’m laying in bed crying. Please listen to me and the other comments."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have tried the 7-day Monistat in the past with no problem, even during a pregnancy. I have recently tried the 3-day Monistat, and the first night was horrible. I had the most intense burning and itching, worse than before I started the treatment. I had a hard time sleeping, and in the morning my labia and vulva were swollen and continued to burn until I took a shower. I was so afraid to continue with the treatment the second night, so I decided to wait it out and see what happens. I am still swollen and red two days later, but the itching and burning are gone. I will most likely call my doctor if the swelling doesn't go away. What a nightmare. I'm glad I'm not the only one who had a bad reaction."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am devastated that I used this before reading these comments. Holy moly. I am 30 weeks pregnant, and my doctor told me to get Monistat 7 to take care of my very mild yeast infection. My symptoms included white/yellow discharge and very slight itching. Within 3 minutes of shooting this treatment into me, I was in agonizing, burning, stinging pain. I took a shower and tried getting most of it out, before my vagina became swollen shut. Now I’m in bed, feeling grateful that what was 8.5 pain has now dropped to 4.5. Still no way I am ever going to be able to sleep tonight. I pray you are reading this before you put this fire inside you. I’m not religious, but I’m actually praying for every woman on earth tonight."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Felt symptoms of YI coming on (irritation, swelling, and slight discharge). Woke up the very next day with a full-fledged YI. Couldn’t get ahold of my dr right away, so I did something VERY desperate and purchased Monistat 1. This little ball of fire fury is the worst, most lethal thing I think I have ever come across in my life. I went from having a YI to having the fiery depths of lava bubbling inside of my lady bits. It looks like I gave birth again and hurts to walk/sit. Did my best to remove it all after the burning intensified, but I’m still suffering after a whole 24 hours. Not worth the stress, trouble, money, and it does absolutely nothing but make things 1000x worse. Just call your gyno and ask for Diflucan or another prescription option because OTC YI treatment is NOT the way to go."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I have some important information that I think can elaborate to everyone having severe burning issues. 20 years ago, I had a yeast infection when I was pregnant, my doctor gave me this product. I went home, used it, and I swelled up with the most massive sunburn-like feeling in my crotch. I immediately went back to my doctor the same day. He said there are two types of vaginal infections: yeast and bacteria. So this product is only made for yeast. He said if it caused the burning, then it's a bacterial infection, NOT a yeast. The antibiotics he gave me cleared it up right away. He said it is the only way to tell the difference. Now, this product works great for me if it's a true yeast infection. It does have a cooling sensation if you use too much at once. I've used this for years when needed and no problems. My daughters also used this and had no problems. Beware though that antibiotics can cause yeast infections, so use a probiotic with FLORA in it after you finish antibiotics."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have been using Monistat for 8 years. I have never experienced anything like this. I have scarred my lady parts for life. The burning and itching were so strong that I washed it out, and it still feels like fire. Everything is swollen. I mean everything. I don't know what is happening, but Monistat needs to fix this now. I used the 3 days."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I want my money back! I've used Monistat 7 in years past, and I've never experienced this level of itching and burning. I'm literally swollen. What's in this stuff? Maybe it's because I used the 3-day formula this time? 200 mg of Miconazole Nitrate a bit much? My yeast infection was minor. Started after a few days of antibiotic use, and like everyone else, the intense itching and burning was almost immediate. I figured I can handle it, so I toughed it out, and the discomfort subsided for the most part. The next morning, I showered, and for some odd reason, the intense itching and burning is back. I was under the impression that the situation would get better instead of worse as time went on. I would've been better off just riding out the infection pre-Monistat instead of subjecting myself to this horror. Why isn't there a disclaimer on the box? The makers of this stuff are the worst. User beware!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the worst feeling in the world! My 3-year-old son is trying to soothe me because I’m crying from the pain. Honestly, my lady parts feel like I just had a baby all over again. They are so sore and swollen! And the itch!! Will never buy again. This is disgusting a company would put women through this pain."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "HELLLL NOOOO. You thought your YI was bad? Go ahead and put that Monistat in you if you’re bad. It's 12:05 am. I put that ball of pain in me about an hour ago, and I've been crying for 30 minutes, called my mom to tell her I was dying and she needed to come take me to the hospital, and now, after rinsing it all off, I'm in bed with an ice pack with my lady parts a good 2 sizes too big and too red. Starting to think they're using this as a way of population control to kill off the weak."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I can highly recommend this product to anyone eager for the sensation of shoving a tampon soaked in napalm up your twat, then experiencing an internal nuclear fallout for the next 10-12 hours. Last night I inserted this at around 8. By 8:30, I was squatting in front of the freezer crying. This went on for HOURS. Thank goodness for the women on this thread who posted their experiences. Otherwise, I would’ve gone to the ER. Perhaps by ambulance, I can’t know for sure. If you’ve come here to find out if your vagina will survive, the good news is it will. But it’ll take a good 12 hours to stop burning. I’m still tender and swollen this morning. I was only able to sleep last night because I found leftover pain medication from a dental procedure. I will never use this product ever again."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I thought my itching was bad before? Nothing could have prepared me for the itching that would come from using Monistat 7. It's been excruciating. I paid $20 to be tortured. I would not recommend this medicine to my worst enemy. My vagina is so swollen and itchy, and this stuff is awful. Don't spend the money."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I really wish I had read the reviews first. I lasted 2 nights using this stuff (up all night screaming in agony, but I was really trying to stick it out), and the next morning I looked down, and my vagina was completely swollen and sealed closed! I could not open it whatsoever, and if I tried, the skin would just rip apart and bleed. This “medication” should not be on shelves anywhere. I have no idea how this stuff is legal, but someone needs to do something about this NOW!"
