For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This product Monistat 3, I used before, I should've gone with the Canesten stuff. Right now, I am furious, but the itch is slowly going down. I can handle this stuff now up there, but I too had to wash most of the stuff out. This product should be discontinued, I agree with most of you ladies."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Never, ever again will I use this demonic medication. I'm convinced it was invented by someone hideous who never got to try it. Packaging describes the itching and burning caused by this medication as mild?! I was really hoping this would get rid of my infection, and I'm sure it would have, but immediately after application, I started burning so much I was shaking. Had to wash it out. Pop two Tylenols and currently sitting on an ice pack."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Wow, I was rolling in my bed, felt like a freaking mosquito bit my vagina, like, oh my goodness, it wasn’t even itching this bad untreated. And what behooves me is the fact that it says itch relief.... excuse my French! But WHAT!!! I won’t say don’t ever use this product again because this is literally my first night using it, but after toughing it out, the itching and burning subsided. Hopefully, this stuff helps, and I’ll keep you guys updated."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got a yeast infection after a round of antibiotics for a tooth infection. I think that Monistat 3 works great for very mild yeast infections. I’m experiencing minimal itch, and it’s pretty good so far. This is my third time trying Monistat, and my first time trying Monistat 3 (the other two were Monistat 7). If you’re experiencing pain and burning that’s unbearable, take some Benadryl to minimize itching and to help you fall asleep. This is actually more bearable for me than the Monistat 7. Actually way better. And one thing that I found to help a lot with the itching is to try and get the yeast out in the shower. I know it sounds super gross, but so is having a yeast infection. Get as much out as you can, and it gives the medicine a better chance at fighting the yeast that’s forming in your vagina. Also increase your water intake, drink green tea, have a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar once in the morning and once at night with water, reduce your sugar intake, and eat yogurt with live cultures in it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've felt some slight itchiness, external pain, and irritation for a couple of days. I've resisted scratching it. I just had a course of amoxicillin, and that got rid of healthy vaginal bacteria, which can cause yeast infections. I took my first applicator of 3-day Monistat last night and had no issues inserting it. I laid down immediately and could definitely feel something going on down there, but no pain; it was just like an intense tingling. I fell asleep for a couple of hours and woke up (due to my insomnia). It has now been almost 6 hours, and it's still tingling, but actually feels refreshing. I combed the internet obsessively right before I took it, and an overwhelming number of women reported horribly unbearable burning. I seem to be the only one who actually likes the feeling. It feels tingly and cool. Maybe my infection is not as bad as everyone else's. I know people are more inclined to write a review if they have a bad experience, so maybe that's why there are so few positive reviews."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I don't know if this is how it's supposed to work, but I'm in literal hell right now. I'm pretty sure this is why the package says to use it before you go to bed, because there's no way I could bear this during the day at work! No burning or pain for me, the only problem is just an unbearable itching inside my vagina! I was sleeping like a baby until it got so bad, it woke me up out of my sleep! I'm literally sobbing on my bed right now and am this close to having a mental breakdown. There's absolutely no way I'm using this again, I just can't bear this itch. Is it even worth it? At this point, I would rather just sit through the YI. At least that wouldn't have me sitting in the dark, having an existential crisis."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Sooooo..... I usually get a yeast infection after I take antibiotics, about once a year... I usually take Diflucan, but my husband is between jobs and we have no health insurance right now. So I thought, no biggie, just got to buy some OTC stuff... The first night it burned for about 30 minutes, but eventually went away. The second night (right now), wow, my vagina is itching so bad I can barely stand it! I feel somewhat better knowing I'm not the only one this is happening to, but c'mon!! The things us women have to go through! Needless to say, I am scared to use it tomorrow night! Ughhhh."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, immediately after insertion, the intense itching and burning began, which is an indication that it's working. I used some Tucks pads I had for hemorrhoids, and it calmed down the itching and burning a bit to make it more bearable. I notice this only does this with the 3-day treatments. However, it clears up the infection swiftly!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve used Monistat before, and I’ve never had such itching or burning. I just want to share my review. Strangely, like the others, it seems that the recent batch is causing a reaction different from the ones I’ve had before. I never experienced this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I've tried Monistat before, and like a lot of other people are saying, my vagina was on fire. It was the worst pain I have ever felt. I sat in my bathtub and bawled my eyes out for about an hour and swore I'd never use it again. But it did work. Also, the first time I used it, I was up and walking around, and I felt the ovule come out of me. That's when the burning went crazy. So, I got another yeast infection, and I went ahead and got Monistat again. This time I took it right before bed, as it says to, and I had no itching or burning whatsoever. Not sure if this is helpful, but maybe try not getting up and walking around much."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not use. Please don't!!! After using Monistat 3, I had the most intense itching and burning that I have ever felt in my life. I begged for forgiveness. I'm literally on my bed airing out after several hot shower runs. Please stay away - the warnings from me and these other women are true!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, everyone on here is pretty much right. The itching and burning is a thing for sure, and I don’t really know how I’m going to sleep well tonight, but it’s honestly not THAT bad. At least not for me. Like, I definitely considered washing this out to the best of my ability since it is pretty freaking uncomfortable, but it’s only the first night, so I’m gonna try to stick it out to see if I have any improvement with my original issue. But yes, the burning and itching is real and is something to take into consideration, especially if you have a low pain tolerance."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got the 3-day ovule pack without the cream because I already have extra strength Vagisil. I can agree that the first use of the product, I was burning and itching all night the first night, but I slept soundly and had no irritation the second night. Here's what I learned: #1. It says to take before bed, I didn't do that the first night. I took it at 8 pm and went to bed at 10 pm. I believe that this may have contributed to the burn and the itch because the medicine was dripping out. #2. The second night, I waited until I knew I was going to go to sleep, so I peed for the last time, washed my hands, inserted, and sprinted to the bed and didn't move until I woke up in the morning. I also took some Benadryl and was prepared with an ice pack (that I didn't really need). So yes, it burns and itches, but follow the instructions, and that should save you. A few days of discomfort is better than painful sex."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first night of Monistat 3 was so horrid. I felt like someone was lighting my insides with fire, but I also wanted to itch everything at the same time. It took about an hour for everything to calm down. I also took an Azo Relief pill, as well as used the cream that was provided. The entire next day I felt so much better that the suffering felt worth it. I am now on night 2 of Monistat, and I was prepared to go through hell and back again, but I don’t feel bad at all."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Why, oh why didn't I read these threads before I did this to myself? I had the very beginnings of a YI. Slight itching, a little discomfort. I decide to go buy Monistat 3. I make sure not to get an off brand that is cheaper. It's Monistat, and I've heard of it a million times. Women all over the world use it, right? Oh my gosh! What a terrible mistake. I hate the makers of this 'medicine'! I see people are saying it works after enduring the pain. I agree. It's only been 30 minutes since I lathered my insides with this lava. But this cream is melting the top layer of my vagina off, with it goes the YI. So, yeah, I guess it would work. Ugh. I am hating life right now, and after this heinous crime, I shouldn't even be allowed to have a vagina anymore... please, somebody, how long does this pain last? Somebody, anybody... how do I make it stop????!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I recently read these reviews and still went on with making a purchase. I should have listened to all of these reviews because this irritated me more than the infection itself. The insertion was very simple! It was a prefilled tube that came with a plunger. I was expecting the egg, this shows how long ago I’ve experienced an infection. Anywho, after about 5 min, it started to feel the burning sensation from hell itself. I just wanted to scratch because it itched that bad. My itching prior to the medication on a scale from 1-10 was about a 4! After medication, I’m at a full-blown 20! But it was Sunday, and I wanted to start meds ASAP."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I heard that the 7-day is better than the 3-day, but they were out. So I got the 3-day and figured it would be better than the 1-day. Got home, took a shower, dried off, and prepared for relief. I was not prepared. I inserted the cream and got comfortable. Within 10 minutes, the itching was 30,000,000,000,074 times worse than the YI. And the burning feels like salt on an open wound. I'm pretty tough and have a high pain tolerance. This is not pain. This makes me wish for death. This should be used for modern-day torture purposes only. I have tried to get it all out, I've taken Benadryl. This was a big mistake. I feel so stupid for not just asking my doctor for Diflucan."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so first night taking the 3-day Monistat, for the first hour and a half there was the worst feeling, but after it passed, I was relieved, no more burning or itching. I was able to fall asleep. I woke up for day 2, completely fine, but I know it couldn't be all gone. I recommend drinking a lot of cranberry juice and taking Aveeno oatmeal baths. On the 3rd morning, I'm in pain again but just itchiness, not really much burning. I take my last dose tonight, hopefully it works."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so here I am at 12:13 am writing this because I am currently experiencing fire on my vagina. I took my first dose of the Monistat at 10:05 pm, and from when it first went in, I felt the itching and burning. But to be fair, I do have a severe yeast infection, so the medicine is really doing its job! I also applied the itching cream before inserting the suppository. I'm extremely upset at this whole process, but I'm excited for results. I want this thing gone, worst pain ever!!! This is my first ever yeast infection, and I am not thrilled."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I can't believe I paid good money for a product that made my vaginal discomfort a lot worse than it was before I inserted the cream. Within 5 minutes of inserting it, I got an awful burning sensation in my vagina and on my vulva -- a problem I did not have with the YI. The burning and itching were terrible -- not 'you may experience a mild increase in itching and burning' like the product leaflet says -- 'mild' my ass! I will not be taking the second dose tonight -- that's for sure. Probably head over to the store to pick up some yogurt to soothe things down there. If things aren't better by Monday, I'll call my OB/GYN then to hopefully get some relief."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so first. Thank you for the hilarious reviews, but also I am feeling your pain. Even before reading the box, I knew it was going to burn because even things like 'hypoallergenic' and 'for sensitive skin' will irritate my lady parts. So I knew it would be a bad ride, but anything would be better than the already rashy burning feeling and other symptoms that come along with a Y/I, right? RIGHT?! So many wrongs. It feels like something with long, pointy crawls is trying to tear its way out of there. Oh, and the topical cream?! Instant horrible reaction. Made the itching and burning feeling go from bearable to oh my god, I just burned off my inner and outer labia. Woke up, and it still burns. I must endure 2 more nights of this torture. Pantyliners really do help."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "A minute after inserting the first suppository, my area shown there started itching :( more so than it did before! I googled if this itching was normal and came across this website with reviews and was glad I'm not the only one experiencing them. I just wish I would've read them prior to spending $15 for this and used it to go to the doctor instead! This is a waste of money."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I recommend this product, it works! I'm experiencing my first YI, and I'm 18. You have to tolerate some burning, itching, and swelling, but it's all good. First night, I cried myself to sleep. The burning and itching made me want to rip my hair out! The second night wasn't so bad, the only burning I had was when the cream started dripping and coming out. I went to sleep just fine. I'm on the third night now, and no burning or itching! A little swelling on my vulva, but I'm glad it's over. I know that my yeast infection is gone! I recommend taking Benadryl a couple of minutes before you install the cream, though. Great results, though."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I finished using this product over Saturday night. No itching or burning or pain during the three days (well, besides the slight itching the first night). And I feel a lot better down in that region. But now, with it going on Tuesday tomorrow, I'm having a reddish/orange discharge/clumps almost to the same extent of a period, but not quite it. Quite nervous about that, but I saw on Yahoo Answers that it's normal depending on how bad the YI was. I can recommend this product to other people, and I say I believe it's worked. (I'm not a doctor, so I don't know for sure). Just make sure to take Tylenol before and have ice cubes on standby because I know those can relieve symptoms others have reviewed having."
