For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Listen!!! It’s 11:56 pm and I just went in the tub to wash out the Monistat 3 medicine! Day 1 was painful but bearable pain. Felt extreme itching and burning inside my vagina, and the discomfort was better without the treatment. Day two was similar, but I felt the infection going away by then. Day three, I felt I didn’t need the treatment, but I wanted to finish it off... Now I’m on here typing, giving my review!!! And I’m here laying in pain because it’s causing itching in my vagina that I never had!!! It feels like imbedded worms or fleshy parasites."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Best experience. I had horrible itching and burning. Once I used the first dose and the anti-itching cream, I started feeling relief within 15 mins. Today is my second day, and it's as if it's gone! Definitely will buy this product again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am so glad I read these comments. Day 1 has been a nightmare. The burning and itching have been intense. It was hard for me to even type, I was very irritable and just yelling at my husband. He got confused because he didn't know what to do! I felt like pushing something inside my V to ease the itching, but nothing helped. I accepted my fate and went to bed. It's 2 am, and I am still awake. Lord help me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I can tell many of you guys wrote this right away without giving it time. I used the cream-filled applicator kind of Monistat 3 for a YI, and the first hour was intense but not to the point of tears. I am not sure if I have a higher pain tolerance, or if some people get far worse pain, or if people are exaggerating, but honestly you just power through that first hour (take Tylenol, make sure you do this at night before sleeping, and wear a light pad). As long as you go into it knowing that it will feel intense and breathe through it, it’s really not that bad. The worse your infection, the more intense the feeling is at first. The intense feeling started to subside after the first hour, and I’m writing this to y’all the next morning. When I tell you I feel 100% okay again! I’m giving it a 10/10 because it worked, and I feel so much better-hardly any itching or burning from my YI, and I know that I’m going to feel even better after the second syringe."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "As I lay here weighing the benefits of clawing the inside of my own vagina vs. continuing to let the medicine take effect, I wish more than anything I never inserted this devil cream inside my body in the first place. This is night one for me, and I'm just going to tough out the YI and not use it again. EVER. I can't do another night of this. The mild itching I had before is NOTHING compared to the itching I have now. If there were sandpaper near me, I would use it. Repeatedly. Inside and out. I can feel my heart beating in my vagina. That's the pain I'm feeling."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It ain't that bad, y'all. Yes, it itches. Yes, it's uncomfortable. It's worth getting rid of Candida. I'd use the stuff daily if it meant never getting another yeast infection. Pro Monistat tip: before inserting Monistat, spread Aloe Vera gel and Tea Tree oil onto a few maxi pads and put them in the fridge. When the discomfort hits, slap one of those suckers on for instant relief. Don't freeze them or you're gonna freezer burn the bajeezus out of your hoo-hah."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was skeptical because of reviews. I’m on day 1 suppository of Monistat 3. I took 400 mg of ibuprofen because I was scared. It doesn’t burn or itch. I’m an hour in. I’ll leave another review on day 3."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I, unfortunately, have a very sensitive undercarriage and over the years I've become no stranger to the love/hate relationship with Monistat. Anyway, the point is, I consider myself an expert on the three-day Monistat. Night 1, depending on how bad the infection is, you’ll likely be miserable. The burning and itching is so real, but I’ve discovered that taking some Benadryl for the itching and some ibuprofen for the inflammation makes it much more tolerable. Usually, the next morning I feel 10 times better than the day before. Night 2 of treatment usually starts with some discomfort, but nothing like the first round. And by the last night, in my experience, there’s usually not much of an infection left, so no discomfort either! All in all, it gets the job done!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first night, I didn't feel any difference. The second night, it was almost gone, and the burning and itching had almost stopped. The third night, all the pain came back and even more intense. I don't know what happened! Help!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I never share reviews, but I thought I had to since there are so many bad ones. I let my infection go on for about a week because I just thought I was itchy because of my period. So when my period ended and the itching didn't, I immediately knew. I went to Target to get the Monistat 3 because I’ve used it before and it’s worked. The first night is always the worst, but for me it’s not unbearable. I put it in and lay down, about an hour later, the internal itching begins. It only lasts about 15 minutes. Second night, do the same thing, itching begins and only lasts like 15 minutes. Third night, no itching. So if you think you can deal with the 15 minutes a day of intense internal itching, choose the 3-day. If not, I recommend getting the 7-day. Everybody's experiences are different, some people get no side effects and others get bad side effects, however, they are much more likely to leave a comment. DON'T FREAK OUT."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Second dose and my girly glory is currently on fire. I'm pretty sure she has called for the fire department and called for an Uber to get away from me. I am trying to make her feel better with a bag of frozen peas stuffed in my crotch, but I fear it's a lost cause. I haven't had a yeast infection since my early 20s and I'm 53 now, so it's been a minute. I don't recall having this sort of reaction before, and even last night's dose wasn't this bad. This stuff better work, otherwise, I will write a strongly worded letter to Monistat. It is clear this product was developed by men who have no idea what mild burning or itching in a woman's happy hole actually feels like! After the first dose, I felt much better the next day (today), and I'm sure tomorrow will be better yet. So if you can power through, it's definitely worth it and you will deserve a medal (of course you won't get one, but that's part for the course, isn't it?). Benadryl definitely helps too!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Please God, DO NOT USE THIS ON YOUR VAGINA!!!! I should have read the reviews, but I’ve used this in the past and didn’t have the same reaction. I’m literally in the fetal position, crying and grabbing my vagina! I put this in about 30 minutes ago, and immediately after, I was bent over in pain. The burning and itching is literally like 30 times worse than the actual pain I was feeling from the infection. I called my doctor and an advice nurse and will be going in first thing in the morning. The only solace I have is reading everyone else’s experiences, so at least I know I’m not dying. I honestly thought I would have to go to the emergency room. Again, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON’T USE THIS. It’s like some woman-hating psychopath put some torturous ingredient in this to systematically inflict pain on unsuspecting women. I hate you, Monistat, how dare you do this to all of us!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The only thing helping me get through this horrible burning and itching is reading all these comments! Scrolling through and seeing so many women experiencing the same issues is my only comfort. I seriously want to claw my vagina off!!! The burning and itching is unbearable. I will NOT be using this product ever again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the first time I had a yeast infection, so my doctor told me to get the Monistat 3-day tubes. I was hesitant because of all the bad reviews I saw, but I got it anyway. The first night I used it, not even 10 minutes later, it felt like somebody was holding a lighter up to my vagina. IT WAS BURNING, ITCHING, & STINGING so much that I couldn’t even sleep. I kept getting up to walk off the itch, and I had to put a cold rag on it in order to go to sleep. But the next morning, I felt great, and throughout that day, I didn’t feel any burning or itching, so I continued using the other tubes for the next two nights, and surprisingly, I didn’t experience burning or stinging at all! That means the yeast infection was almost fully cured :) I highly recommend this product because of how fast it works. You just have to suck it up and deal with the burning on the first night you use it and wear a pantyliner. Night 2 & 3 won’t be as bad, you may feel little to no burning or itching at all."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Not my first YI, but my first time using Monistat of any kind. I used the kind with the cream-filled applicators. Oh my freaking goodness, never again. I don't know how to best describe the itching and burning that happened after using the applicator, but to say it's painful is an understatement. I have an extremely high pain tolerance, and this is honestly up there in the worst pains I've ever experienced. I would rather literally burn out my own eyeballs with actual fire than ever use Monistat again. Seriously. I tried to tough it out, thinking maybe it was just the medicine doing its job, but I ended up breaking down and birthing the glob of cream into the toilet. I'm currently sitting here with a cooling ice pack on the area (which does help a bit, but not enough). It's been an hour, and the burning is not going away. Freaking yikes. I am not sure how this stuff is even legal. Would NOT recommend, in case you didn't get that."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First night: I inserted it and went to the movies that night. Before applying it, I had bad itching but had used coconut oil throughout the day to soothe the YI. Once I applied it the first night, it was instant relief. I was so super glad to feel normal again that I never noticed any itching or burning. I felt better in the morning. Then on night two, I made sure to insert the capsule before bed. This night, it was itchy and mild burning for about 20 minutes. I noticed it got worse as I read all the horrible reviews."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First day using it resulted in, of course, an increase of itching and burning, but after taking ibuprofen, about an hour later, I didn’t feel any pain. As I’m on day 2 right now, the symptoms of YI are very faint, less itching. So I definitely recommend it, and make sure to take medicine. Also, everyone’s body is different, so you may get a different result."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My vagina feels like it's on fire! It's 15 minutes after I inserted the medication. I feel as if there is a blowtorch under myself. The itching is horrendous! Like 2,000,000 fire ants are down there. It's driving me insane! How can you fall asleep with this pain!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought the Monistat 1 Day yesterday. Before I inserted it, I decided to look up reviews. It was so bad! I literally threw everything away and went to the store for the 3-day. From reading everything, I found out that if you do it and immediately lay down with your knees up, that it helps a lot. I guess when the cream starts to come out and down your vag from walking or movement is where the burning comes from. I was doing great, and then my 5-year-old comes in screaming, and I have to get something for him. I go back to lay in bed and OMG. The next hour was just me curled in the fetal position holding my vagina as hard as I can. It finally just stopped, but it felt like a whole lifetime. The itch is unbearable. But I made it through, I didn’t shower or try to get it out. I powered through and can feel that it’s doing its job, and now I’m laying in bed watching Tosh.0 laughing. Stick it through! There’s a reason doctors recommend it, it may not be pleasant but doable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Lacking in health insurance at the moment, I thought getting Monistat would be a cheaper option for my yeast infection. Now, as I sit here in agonizing pain, I would have gladly sold my firstborn to avoid the itching and pain that are the side effects of Monistat. It feels like there is a raccoon deep inside of my vagina scratching to get out. I am at a loss on what to do. I have used Monistat before, and it wasn’t this bad. Is it possible that it’s because I bought the cream instead of the ovule this time? I wouldn’t be surprised if a man created this cream specifically to spite women. Somebody please send help."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After having been misdiagnosed with a yeast infection, diagnosed with BV, treated with Metronidazole gel, and then developing a yeast infection because of the gel, I've been three weeks with pants on fire. If you're reading this, you might know the feeling. I did three doses of Diflucan and no relief. Dizziness and a general crummy feeling, but still burning and itching. One dose of M3 and I thought I was in Heaven. No burning. It was relief within an hour (and I was terrified of all the burning reviews). Not everyone reacts the same. One day and I'm looking forward to dose 2. The cooling effect is wearing off, and I want this thing gone. Monistat 3 cream was my savior!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "HOW IS THIS ALLOWED TO BE SOLD?!?! I wish I had looked up reviews on the Monistat 3 tubes. Within 30 seconds of inserting the first tube, I was experiencing painful burning and itching in my vagina. And I put that sucker up there. I had to run to my bathroom, put on the shower, and try to wash it out of me. That wasn't good enough, so I then had to run a bath and sit in that. I'm trying to make this sound as comical as possible, but I have never experienced anything like this in my 35 years. How has this not been pulled off shelves? I won't even buy other Monistat products, I am so annoyed. If I knew all of this was going to happen, I would've asked to be taken out to dinner first at least. Shame on you, Monistat. Never again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I see so many comments about the burning. I guess I have a high pain tolerance, or maybe my yeast infection just wasn’t as bad. I did feel burning and itching, but after about an hour it started to settle, it really wasn’t that bad. I feel some people must have got a worse reaction than mine. I woke up this morning, and my yeast infection feels much better. I recommend this cream."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Day 4. Vagina and vulva are raw. Wiping down there with wipes or paper feels like I’m using sandpaper. Urination burns my irritated skin. Leftover Monistat occasional drip feels like a combination of sting/itch/burn. I have to dab with a wipe after urinating. Day 5. Vagina and vulva are raw, it still hurts to pee, and wiping is the worst. I’m not sure what to do. I think it may be a chemical burn from the Monistat. Vaginal canal entry itches here and there. No cottage cheese discharge. If in 2 days I’m not better, going to the Gyno. If you are sensitive to side effects, beware. Shame on you, Monistat."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was my first time ever getting a yeast infection. My symptoms included itching, irritation/swelling, cottage cheese-like discharge. I purchased Monistat 3 from the pharmacy. The first night using it, I honestly had no problems like what most of the reviews described. I still itched a little on the outer part of my vagina where I applied the cream, but after 2-3 minutes it subsided. The suppository did not burn or irritate the inside of my vagina. The next morning, I noticed a lot of clumpy discharge coming out. The second day I had no more of that discharge, still minor irritation and itching. On the 3rd day, no symptoms. Now, two days after taking the medicine, my vagina feels normal, and no symptoms have come back. Luckily, I had a positive experience, I would use this again if need be."
