For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have to take antibiotics frequently, so I get YIs periodically. I've always taken Diflucan orally or used Monistat 7. I inserted the first dose of M3 last night before bed. I realized about 2 minutes later that I had to pee. After I did, it hit! The burning and itching were so intense that I had to walk around for a minute to get myself together. I lay in bed writhing in pure misery from the stinging and intense itching. Burning was bearable, but the itching just about did me in. I finally took my panties off and kept my legs separated so the heat wouldn't activate the yeast, as if it wasn't already activated. I was desperate! It took 2 hours to go to sleep, but laughing hysterically at the other reviews sure made the itching more bearable!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DON'T USE IT!!! It was my worst experience in my life. I took the Monistat 3 at 1 a.m., expecting that I'm going to sleep, and guess what?? It started itching like anything. I didn't know what to do. I started crying, I wanted to rip my own skin. I went on this forum, and I saw all the reviews, and I'm regretting that I didn't read them before using the product. I was using anti-itch wipes, but it became even worse, my lady was on fire. I tried to take the Monistat out with tampons, but nothing helped. Finally, after almost 2 hours, I fell asleep. It was the worst feeling in my life. DON'T USE THIS PRODUCT!!!! This product deserves a 0!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The cream-based Monistat 3 product kept me up every night, feeling like I was on fire. By the 2nd night, I felt as though my vagina was chemically burned. The third night was just reliving it over and over. You can't sleep at night from the burning and itching until you pass out from pure exhaustion, only to be woken up two hours later, where it starts all over again. Last night was my third night, and I couldn't take it anymore. At 4 AM, I went to the bathroom and jumped in the shower to try to get out as much of that stuff as I could, and then I laid in bed with ice until I was numb enough to fall asleep. The YI is gone, but I feel burned and awful. I've taken Monistat 3 before with a FAR worse YI, and it wasn't like this. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "When I read the reviews, I was petrified of using the product because so many people said it burned horribly. I even put off starting it a couple more days, however, when I did take it, I had no burning, just slight internal itching. The itching can be helped by taking ibuprofen an hour or so before taking the product. The next morning I woke up, I had no symptoms! I continued taking the medicine and had no itching or burning the next two nights. It does leak throughout the day following when you took it, but using a pad helps a lot."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is a horrible product. A few minutes after inserting, my itching became much worse than the itching from the YI. My vagina is burning right now, it's so bad I'm crying and considering trying to wash it out."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm on my first night using Monistat 3, and I'm here sitting down after 30 mins with the most horrible burning sensation down there. I swear I'm very tempted to scream and jump, 'cause it's truly even worse than the YI itself. I must say 2-3 minutes after I put the cream, everything felt terrible. After 30 mins, the burning and itchiness are slowly decreasing. So, ladies, be aware of the side effects, because it's really a nightmare. I just hope it does its job, 'cause this feels horrible."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am on my third day of using this, and I am up at 5 a.m. from being awoken by the constant itching and burning this is giving me! The sensation is completely unbearable, and I feel as though my vagina is on fire! I don't know if I had an allergic reaction to this, but this is bad!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DON'T USE MONISTAT 3! But if you were like me, you are reading this because you are having an insane itch and/or burning in your vagina after using! Ask yourself... can ya tolerate this misery you're in right now ALL night (or at least until you pass out)? If not, run to your bathroom now. Get out as much as you can. I tried my hardest to pee what I could out and then got in the shower. I probably would have taken a bath though if I had a tub. Not itching half as bad as it was, but I literally didn't wait long after using and the crazy itch started. And then reading everyone else's comments. Will never take again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used the 3-day Monistat per recommendation of my OB-GYN nurse, and holy moly, this burns like no other. I jumped in the bath and literally scraped as much out as possible... that helped, but I am still more uncomfortable than before. I put coconut oil in and around, and that has drastically helped the burning and itching. Hope this helps. DON'T USE THIS PRODUCT!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So about 20 minutes into my first dose, there is some burning/itch that was worse then got better. It’s about at the level it was before I used it at this point, so I’m hoping that based on the positive reviews, it will work for me, and hopefully I will feel much better tomorrow. I'll try to update tomorrow (2/18)."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "There was no itching or burning, but a lot of odorless discharge. I needed to act fast due to the fact that I am an active human being. I decided to purchase Monistat 3. Reading up on reviews, I read that many individuals were having horrible experiences with major burning and major itching. I purchased the 3-day cream, and here is my experience: When I inserted the tube with cream for the first time, there was no burning at all. A few minutes later, there was itching. The itching was not unbearable to the point where I would lose my sanity. It was very mild deep within. The itching only lasted for a few minutes, then stopped. This happened all three days. There were no irritations. The product really worked, I have not had another yeast infection. The only thing is, the cream is very messy. The medicine isn’t that bad, it’s fast-acting and it drains out everything. I highly do not recommend using this product all the time, but I do recommend it for mild infections."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After reading all of these terrifying comments, I was so prepared for this to burn me so bad that I would want my vag to fall off, but it didn’t. I was awake for at least an hour before I fell asleep after putting it in, and it tingled and itched just a little bit, but nothing more than that. I found that it itched more when I got up to use the bathroom really quick after 30 minutes of having it in. Definitely wear a pad when using this product, as it does leak quite a bit, less if you put it in higher, they said. I’m only on day one of this though, so if anything changes, I will definitely be back to update everyone."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "D1 was horrible. I thought my period was to blame for the itchiness! I did as instructed and I fell asleep for 1.5 hours until I was awoken by the itchiness. I used Summer’s Eve no odor cleansing wipes to clean away the cream and changed my pad. After 1.5 hours of squirming and groaning, I was able to sleep. D2, I prepped for war: got some wipes, water, extra pads, and a towel. 1.5 hours after inserting, I woke up to itchiness, this time I felt it slowly coming in, however, it was not as intense as the day before. To try and relieve itchiness, I took off my underwear, laid a towel underneath me, and let the kitty breathe. I fanned it to get some cool air and used a cold wipe. It kind of worked. Just don’t irritate or scratch. I’m so glad tomorrow is my last day, symptoms are gone, so was it worth it? Maybe LOL good luck girls!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m not sure, and I feel bad for you women who went through the burning and itching phase, but I took Monistat today. I was off of work, so I took it earlier in the day and went to sleep. I currently just feel nauseous, but I don’t feel anything down there. There was leakage, I'm not sure if it was too much or too little, so I just put a pad on and fell asleep. I had very little itching and burning for my YI, but I hope this just works. I’m going to continue the last two sessions and hope it continues to work."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m currently writing this review in bed, on my back, like I’ve been riding bareback for a week. My husband reluctantly got me an ice pack. Ladies, it feels like a blowtorch has been used inside my vajayjay, and the outside of it is SO itchy I feel like I should be handcuffed to make sure I don’t scratch! WTH is wrong with the 3-day cream?! I could handle the itch... it was at a 3 until I applied the external cream, and I’m at a 10 now. How am I going to sleep?! I’m debating washing it out. I literally sat on the toilet in shock, crying for ten minutes before I emerged complaining about how much pain I was in!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am on night 2 of Monistat 3 ovules that you insert into the vagina. No pain... nothing. A lot of leakage through the night of the medicine breaking down. Outside cream is okay, only used it once, don’t really think I need it. It is my first YI, so I hope it works. The pain and swelling have gone away. Light itching every now and again... so I have hope. If not, I guess I’m going to the doc, lol."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I didn’t realize so many people have had so many problems with this. I did the Night 1 treatment, and it was fine. I didn’t experience the burning, but my yeast infection was minor to begin with, so that may have an effect. I’ve used Monistat before, and it works wonders. I’ve never had any problems aside from minor itching and sensitivity."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It’s currently 10:54 pm, and I have been in agony since around 10 when I inserted this fireball into my vagina. If mystery had an embodiment, it would be this. I am on fire. I am itching. I get chronic YI, so treatment is NOT new to me, and I’ve never experienced this pain ever. I have to pee, and I’m afraid to get up. I’m afraid I’ll disturb the rest of the medicine if I do. I can’t pee, fart, sit up, lay down, nothing without reigniting the agony. This is miserable. Please, save yourself. It burns so bad that laying in bed, my body is literally twitching involuntarily."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Just put in the 3rd dose of this (I’m using the cream), and honestly, I think it's working great. When I put in the 1st dose, I felt a little tingly for about an hour and then fell asleep fine. The next morning, I was still a little itchy, but for the most part, it got a lot better. When I did my 2nd dose, I felt nothing at all (no burning or tingling), although the cream was a little bit weird to have in me (squishy feeling). The day after my 2nd dose, I felt almost 100% better, and I probably would've been fine without a 3rd dose. I’m 19, and this was my first yeast infection. I’m pretty sure my infection was a pretty mild one too. Hopefully, it cured me completely!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Didn't take the medicine for 2 or 3 days after reading the reviews, kept putting it off. Did it last night, woke up, the itching went down at least 90%, swelling is down 50%. I was scared of the intense itching and burning people said they got from taking this. I counted down the first hour, waited, nothing ever burned or intensified. I found laying down irritated me more, so I sat up in my bed. It helped keep the medicine in too. Seems when the cream touches your vulva, that's when it becomes irritated the most. If it came out, I wiped it off. Quickly found that religiously applying organic refined coconut oil eased the itch from the very beginning. Seems to be very effective after one day. Some people put coconut oil on a tampon, I just applied inside and out. Also, I used a tiny bit of hydrocortisone. I didn't have itch relief cream with my Monistat 3, so the next day I tried Vagisil medicated anti-itch wipes, and those burned worse for me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG, why did I not read reviews prior to buying this stuff? I haven’t had a yeast infection in years but knew after taking antibiotics for strep that I had developed one. Figured instead of going to the doctor, I would try Monistat 3 day since I have used their products before with no problems. Not even 2 minutes after inserting this stuff, my vagina felt like the gates of an inferno were at the door shooting fireballs at me. I literally thought I was having some crazy allergy reaction. The burning and itching have been unbearable. It's been approximately 40 minutes now, and the burning has subsided to just mild inferno! The itching is still going strong. No way am I going to go for rounds 2 and 3. I would rather deal with the mild symptoms I had than ever go through this again. My vagina hates me right now!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Went out and bought a 3-day pack. I'm 5 months pregnant and was recommended by a pharmacist. Came home, and insertion alone made me burst into tears. Not sure if because I'm so raw/swollen or due to the medication. However, I bought the anti-itch/anti-burning wipes and quickly went over the affected area. That seemed to have helped with the burning and itching. I grabbed an ice pack (wrapped in a towel) and have been sitting on it, which has helped a lot! Everything is cold and numb, lol... relief to the fullest! About 45 minutes after insertion and having the ice pack numb me up, I applied the topical cream that comes with the 3-day combo pack. It's been about 2 hours, and I am not burning or itching!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you have bad anxiety, know that the burning is normal!! Deep breath, sweet pea! Probably take an anxiety med before or immediately after. I was super itchy in my downstairs and figured it was a yeast infection, and I chose the 3-day because 7 seemed too long, but 1 seemed unlikely. After using this, my crotch was itching and burning so badly I was on the verge of tears and was starting to free fall into a panic attack, but I was able to calm down. Seeing the reviews and that the burning is 'normal' is also helping me calm down. I gave my downstairs a rinse with some warm water and changed liners, which helped it calm after a bit, and now I am laying very still in bed with my laptop. I do believe it is helping me, but I suppose it's too soon to truly know."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Monistat saved my sanity and my girl parts! I went about 2 days trying to do home remedies, and nothing was working. I was so itchy, irritated, and ridiculously swollen. I told my friend, and she suggested Monistat for me. I put it in before bed, put the anti-itching cream that came with it, and within an hour, I felt so much relief, woke up the next morning feeling a lot better. Last night, I did the second dose, I felt a little bit of burning, but I fell asleep quickly and feel almost 100% better today. I’m so excited to do the last one tonight and hopefully will feel completely back to normal. Do not let the reviews scare you off! It works!"
