Reviews for Meloxicam
For Inflammatory Conditions: "Had basal thumb joint tendon replacement and carpal tunnel release 11-13. Still experiencing significant swelling interfering with occupational therapy end of December. Dr. prescribed this med 2 days ago, and the pain is almost totally gone as well as the swelling! I had been icing and epsom salt baths, no improvement until this medication. I have experienced acid reflux and bit of tummy ache. Adjusted sleeping position and avoiding foods before sleeping. I'll keep you posted."

For Osteoarthritis: "Was on Celebrex 200 2x a day for years. Pain was too much when dose reduced. Was changed to Meloxicam 15 1x a day and works just as good. For reviewer with plantar fascitis, had it for months. What works is a quality pair of compression foot sleeves. Foot pain was gone after wearing them for 3-4 days. Wear them all day, everyday. (FS6 brand)."

For Fibromyalgia: "I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a few years ago. I have taken several different medicines over the years. I was taking Cymbalta and loved it. But it was Killing my liver. So I Had to Stop! I was given Mobic and have really liked the way it has helped my pains! I am concerned about my stomach and liver effects, so I don't take Mobic every day. I take 15mg at a time about 2-3 times a week. This helps me. Hopefully it will help you too."

For Osteoarthritis: "Miracle. Like others, was first prescribed for foot neuroma but it took away 90% of all other arthritis pain which for me is concentrated in knees, hands and feet. Went off it for just two days to take regular ibuprofen for something else and it was staggering how quickly and how severe the returning arthritis pain got. I hope I can take this until a cure is found. I detect no side effects. Try it!"

Mobic (meloxicam) for Inflammatory Conditions: "I have Cervical Arterial Disease and the pain radiates in my neck, shoulder, arms and hands. Sometimes makes me have bad headaches as well, on the left side of my head. Mobic is a life-saver for me. I had this medication for awhile, but refused to take it because reading the side effects scared me, but after over-the-counter medicatuons quit helping me with the pain, I went ahead and started it, and this is the best I've felt in months. I haven't had any side effects yet, but I've only been on it, for about a week. I'll continue to take it for now, because at least I'm not miserable. Living with chronic pain is no joke."

For Osteoarthritis: "I was given Meloxicam by my podiatrist when he discovered a foot neuroma. After taking it a week or two I noticed all my Osteoarthritis areas had stopped hurting as well. Hands, knees legs. I felt totally pain free. A few weeks later I skipped taking it accidently a few days and all pain returned. I am now back on it for life and its so inexpensive."

For Tendonitis: "I am fighting plantar faciitis and have been in horrible pain which shoots up my leg. I know it is from walking the dog on the beach for miles at a time, though I wear good shoes. Meloxicam absolutely has taken away the pain. I am trying to figure out, however, how to soothe and heal my foot without having to depend on a medicine for more than 6 or 8 weeks. I believe Meloxicam is an excellent bridge in an acute situation. Yoga stretches also are really helping, especially the sun salutation, which stretches my calves and tendons in my feet. I believe that way I can get through the worst while protecting my stomach."

For Rheumatoid Arthritis: "For years I suffered pain in my back, hips, right knee, shoulders, and feet. I was told I had osteoarthritis and placed on numerous different medicines to no avail. I switched doctors and learned I had rheumatoid arthritis. He placed me on Mobic for two weeks until I could see a rheumatologist. Within 24 hours I could tell a difference. My pain was minimal and my mobility increased tremendously without excruciating pain. My rheumatologist added methotrexate along with Mobic and I feel like a new woman! This medication literally changed my life and mentality. My 7 year old son can't believe mommy can get out and play with him again. The only side effect that I have noticed is weight gain. I'm hoping to control that eventually."

For Inflammatory Conditions: "In December of 2010, My husband and I had a bad car wreck. I was broken up several times inside. About a year ago I started getting severe pain in my legs and joints. My back has always bothered me, but everyday my pain was worse. I got to the point I could not hardly stand without leaning on something for help or someone helping me. I am only 43 years old and I felt something was so wrong with me that it could kill me, because the pain was so bad. I felt a difference the first morning but the pain in my legs was getting worse. The next few nights the pain in my legs continued and also kept me up at night. I kept taking the med..and I am now 90% pain free!"

For Osteoarthritis: "I am having carpal tunnel release surgery on Tuesday and have been off my Mobic for about 6 days now. I have pain in areas I had know idea hurt, left Knee, neck, both wrist, all fingers, right elbow and right Shoulder. It was first prescribed for left knee pain only. I can't wait to get this surgery done and get back on it. I am in so much pain."

For Inflammatory Conditions: "I hurt my lower back about a month ago and the pain is always there and excruciating. I can't sit or even stand with out twitching from discomfort or even gasping in pain, so I finally went to my PA and she prescribed me 15mg's. I'm only on my second day of it and I don't mind it. I did a lot of research on it after my first dose left me extremely high. Higher than the OxyContin had left me feeling. I was and am still very confused because It states everywhere that this drug will not give you the high. It does wonders on the pain relief but I'm still a little worried because it renders me to lay down and I don't even trust myself to drive. Has this happened to anyone else? I really do like the pill but it leaves me with questions."

For Inflammatory Conditions: "I hurt my shoulder in a fall two years ago, and have not been able to recover full use of my arm, even with treatment and physical therapy. Pain woke me up at night and my arm would go numb at times. My Dr. gave me Motrin 800mg to take 2x a day, but it only helped about 50%, and I started to get side effects from the Motrin. One month ago, I went to a new Dr. and they gave me Meloxicam to try and within 2 days, I felt so much better, I couldn't believe it. Not only did it help my shoulder pain, it took away my other aches and pains. Now I don't even think about it. I just take my one pill a day and I feel normal and can do whatever I want! Exercise included. Amazing. No negative side effects so far. I LOVE it!"

For Osteoarthritis: "I was prescribed this for a car accident, but I kept taking it because it surprised me by erasing about 85% of my sacro-illiac pain. The pain had grown so gradually that I was in deep denial about it, even after the car wreck made it 10x worse. Then all of a sudden it was mostly gone and I just broke down and cried from the miraculous relief - I'm able to be physically active again even with unfixable injuries. I have a few side effects: dizziness when standing quickly, and my blood pressure keeps trying to creep up, but the good greatly outweighs the bad still. I've had a gastrectomy which means I'm at greater risk of stomach bleeding, so I'm worried about the potential stomach side effects that increase the longer you take it, but nothing bad yet."

For Inflammatory Conditions: "I love meloxicam! For years I have suffered from ovarian cysts that tend to rupture and be very painful. Not to mention that I have unusually painful menstral cramps. I went to a pain management doctor FINALLY after years of suffering and he prescribed me tramadol and meloxicam and the combination has changed my life completely! I highly recommend it for anyone who has extreme pain and bad inflammation."

For Osteoarthritis: "I have been taking Meloxicam for several months with very little relief from my Right shoulder osteoarthritis. It did very little for my Left shoulder issues either. My flare ups are quite severe. My orthopedic surgeon told me I will eventually have to have a shoulder replacement."

For Osteoarthritis: "I am 46 years old and have been battling arthritis for years. Both knees, left foot and right elbow. After I started taking Meloxicam (1 year now), I noticed a difference. In the past year I went back to playing flag football, ping pong and softball. I recently stopped taking Meloxicam just to see what would happen. I noticed that right knee started to swell the day after I played flag football. My time frame was one week off the medication to back on it. I have played over 30 games of flag football and countless games of pong without any pain as well as no elbow pain playing softball on Meloxicam. I strongly suggest that you drink liquids and have a bite of food while taking this medicine. I do and have no side effects. Thanks"

Mobic (meloxicam) for Tendonitis: "Dispite being told to slow down with the physical labor four months ago, when both rotator cuffs started to hurt, I was able to work myself into two frozen shoulders and tendonitis, hence the nickname. Not a big fan of pharmaceuticals, Mobic is changing my mind. Starting taking it yesterday and for the first time in days I was able to sleep without waking up in pain. Can now move shoulders and pain has been greatly reduced."

Mobic (meloxicam) for Inflammatory Conditions: "Mobic - the miracle pill. I have had chronic pain in my right knee for the last 6 months or so, it was getting worse by the day. I have now been taking Mobic 15mg for two days and I have no pain at all. I have read that there can be some nasty side effects, but at the moment I really don't care. I can walk pain free again."

Mobic (meloxicam) for Rheumatoid Arthritis: "Was on Voltaren for months. Maybe my body got used to it and maybe it will also get used to this but this is a miracle. I had 9 places with pain. After I pop this pill (15mg) I feel great within an hour and even more amazing throughout the day and into the night. Probably a good 12 hrs of relief. I got to find a way to eat in the morning and take it. Currently I'm taking it with a big lunch but miserable in the morning after it wears off from the day before and before I take it that day. This makes me feel normal. Especially my fingers."

For Inflammatory Conditions: "A little over a year ago, I started having extreme tightness and stiffness down the backs of my legs. Because I was an active runner, I assumed it was a running injury. Naproxen and muscle relaxants did not help. Saw a sports doctor who thought it was an SacroIliac joint problem. Prescribed physio. Did it for six months. Pain and stiffness spread. Had X-rays and MRI. Showed some osteoarthritis in spine and mild to moderate bulging discs. Doctor thought it could be fibromyalgia. Referred to rheumatologist. Bloodwork showed low normal B12 (136). Was prescribed weekly B12 shots and meloxicam. Started working quickly. By second day, the stiffness was gone. Pain was greatly reduced. Comes back if I don't take it for two days. No side effects."

For Osteoarthritis: "I started mobic a month ago for right knee pain, it has helped with all the other body aches and pains I was not treated for. I am concerned with possible side effects I have decided that I enjoy feeling young and pain free again. I pray it continues."

For Osteoarthritis: "Very effective in masking pain from my osteoarthritis. Felt mild stomach discomfort during initial use (first 3 days) but effective almost immediately (within first 30 minutes!) for pain relief. Stomach discomfort is not recurrent. The most effective medication I've ever used for any pain-specific rx."
