For Plaque Psoriasis "I have had psoriasis for over 12 years. Over the last 6-7 years, it has become progressively worse and affects more areas of my body. At the end of 2017, I had become over 90% covered, from head to toe, literally. I had tried Humira previously, as I also have rheumatoid arthritis, but that only caused me to have a flare of my RA and did nothing for my psoriasis at all. I was finally approved for Taltz, and I was skeptical. After my first double dose, within 3-4 days, I saw significant clearing on my face, arms, hands, and torso. I took my third dose a week ago, and I am about 50-60% clearer. It makes a world of difference to one's self-esteem to get back to a more normal existence. I am quite the social butterfly, but the psoriasis has really wreaked havoc on my life. I am grateful to God and the makers of Taltz. I have three more doses before I go to the once-a-month maintenance dose. I hope that there will be no flare-ups when that happens. My joints are doing great as well!"

For Psoriatic Arthritis "I just took my 5th Taltz injection (I take it once a month). My psoriatic arthritis has gotten substantially better, but my psoriasis (skin) has gotten worse. I wonder how long it takes before I see an effect on the clearing of the skin."

For Plaque Psoriasis "After the first shot, started to clear. In 3 days, waiting for the second shot. I have had psoriasis for 23 years, nothing worked. Then, 3 days after the shot, clear. Weird, but great feeling, and I hate medicines, but can't deny this works."

For Plaque Psoriasis "Taltz caused severe swelling the size of hockey pucks that lasted an entire week at injection sites for the initial two injections (mid-thigh). Thought it was just my body adjusting to the new medication, but upon week #2 injection, an even worse reaction! Same 'hockey puck' under my skin as week #1 and spread to an 8' hardened 'pancake' under the skin with redness, severe swelling, itching (for a week and counting). It is painful and radiating heat, an under-the-skin 'hive.' My doctor believes I may be reacting to a certain protein often used in injections. I was on Stelara = no improvement, tried Humira, and had some improvement but problems getting the product shipped at proper refrigerated temps and flimsy injections needing to be replaced."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "Recently started Taltz a month ago after my Stelara stopped working after 10 years. The bit of psoriasis I had has cleared, and the psoriatic arthritis is slowly getting better. Terribly painful. Yes, the shots hurt, so I put ice in a zip lock on my leg 15 minutes before injection. Problem solved."

For Plaque Psoriasis "30 years old with psoriasis since 12. I started Taltz about a month and a half ago. I haven't had much improvement with clearer skin. Also, I've been extremely sick for about a month now. Sore throat, thick phlegm and mucus, ear pain, eye pain, a lot of itching all over my body constantly. I have to take Benadryl to sleep. I've been to the doctor 3 times, and it's not a virus or cold, so I'm guessing it's because of the injection. It definitely weakens the immune system. I don't like how I've been feeling since the start, and I will not be continuing it. It's not worth all the side effects, also, my arthritis has gotten worse."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "My psoriasis was somewhat under control and joint pain under control with Remicade. I switched to Taltz because my dermatologist thought my psoriasis was not okay. I have had flares with psoriasis and joint pain. I hate medication and am mad at my doctors for switching. Don't do it, don't do it, don't do it."

For Plaque Psoriasis "After 3 weeks, my skin and nails cleared. The autoinjector did not hurt at all. The medicine is a bit more painful than vitamin B shots. Well, Taltz did nothing for the inverse psoriasis under breasts, groin creases, and buttocks. Even that was sort of okay with the other results. Unfortunately, at once a month, EVERYTHING went sideways. Arthritis pain. Huge sores opened up overnight. The inverse psoriasis worsened. I got psoriasis on my scalp, on and in my ears, at my tear ducts, on eyelids. I did not have psoriasis in these areas before. These sores itch worse than the plaque. They are not dry. They are sticky and weepy. I am getting pustules on my hands, wrists, and palms. Everywhere. The itching is truly horrendous and the pain of all of this new psoriasis is excruciating. My bones and joints are moving, and they hurt. I was amazed with Taltz. I do believe it needs much more testing and work on dosages."

For Plaque Psoriasis "Took forever to get approved for this medication. I basically had to fail every other treatment first, which I did. Insurance kicked in about $9K, and Taltz covered the rest for a $5 co-pay. The injections feel like a bee sting, but it only lasts for about 5 seconds. Within a day or two, I started to see improvement in my skin. Within a week or two, I had no flaky patches or shedding. It took about 2 months before the deep red/purple scarring went away. The only side effect I experienced is the upper respiratory infection. I cannot stress this enough. Do not take this if you are sick. If you smoke or get frequent bronchitis, you will get an upper respiratory infection shortly after taking this. Other than that, it works great."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "Was on Otezla for four years along with Sulfazine. Otezla messes up your bowels so much that I lost a lot of weight. I went from 195 lbs to 159 lbs at my lightest, but then leveled off at 165 lbs. I stopped taking it 3 months ago and am already 175 lbs. I did not have a normal bowel movement while taking Otezla. I was switched over to Taltz, it seems to work okay for skin but not so sure about arthritis. With Otezla, it's a pill you take twice a day every day, so the efficacy stays constant. The biologic I notice by the end of the month I am getting breakthrough pain in joints. Lots of people complaining about the pain from injection. I never did another biologic, so I have nothing to compare, but it wasn't so bad. At least I got my colon back."

For Psoriasis "I have been taking Taltz for moderate guttate psoriasis and am on week 23 now. I do have much clearer skin than I ever did, and injections have gotten easier. The only drawback is how often I'm catching infections and having other not-so-fun side effects with experience. I had strep throat for almost 2 months and went through 2 antibiotics. Sore throat never stopped due to a sinus infection on top of that when strep left. Saw 3 doctors and had 2 positive strep tests. Even the Taltz pharmacist said it was just hard to clear it up due to a lesser immune system. Just saw my dermatologist today, who basically told me the doctors don't know what they are talking about, and he does because he is the one who prescribes it all the time. His words. I just couldn't believe this doctor talking to me like this, like I've not been experiencing this-it was like he was trying to convince me that I was wrong! I've never had so many health issues and infections in such a short period of time. It can't be anything but the Taltz...but I love my clear-ish skin!"

For Non-Radiographic Axial Spondyloarthritis "I’ve got a peripheral form of ankylosing spondylitis that causes inflammation in my connective tissue and sensitizes me to different foods. Within two weeks of the first dose, my pain and swelling were much reduced, and I haven’t developed a new food allergy in the 18 months I’ve been on this medication. My quality of life was headed to rock bottom before I started Taltz, and now I can function again! Here’s hoping this continues to work for a good long time..."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis 6 years ago and have tried Plaquenil, methotrexate, Cosentyx, and now Taltz. (Plaquenil did nothing, methotrexate helped, but made my liver enzymes skyrocket, and Cosentyx was a miracle drug, but I had a full-body allergic skin reaction). I have been on Taltz for 6 months now, and while my joints feel good and I only have one plaque hanging on, I have been sick for the last 6 weeks. I've had a daily blaring earache, but my ear checks out fine at the doctor. I have had thick, sticky mucous drainage, a constantly sore throat on the right side (same as the ear), and have been on two rounds of antibiotics and steroids, with no improvement. I have an infected cuticle that has not completely healed with antibiotics, prescription antibiotic ointment, and antifungals. It could all be unrelated to the Taltz, but I feel like my immune system has been suppressed so much to where my body cannot get over normal things, like a cold. Not sure if the benefits are worth the side effects."

For Plaque Psoriasis "Been on Taltz for about 13 months. This product changed my life. After the first month, I started to notice an improvement. After 3-4 months, I was totally clear. I take one shot a month now to maintain. The hardest part was the 1-year process of going through all the garbage medication that doesn’t work first just so my insurance can approve this one. Insurance will make it as hard as possible to get on this, but keep pushing them. This stuff works, and I’ve had zero side effects."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "Taltz has been a miracle drug for me! I suffered with PS & PSA for 10 years and was prescribed Methotrexate, which made my joints hurt worse and gave me horrible leg cramps every night. I also took Otezla for about 6 months and it did clear up the PS but no improvement to the PSA pain and swelling. When my doctor recommended that I try Taltz, I was resistant because I was scared to take such a strong drug and worried about the possible side effects. But I finally decided to try Taltz and my PS cleared completely up within the first 2 weeks and within the first 3 weeks, the swelling and pain in my fingers, toes, and various other joints got much better. It took 2 months and I was completely out of pain. I had been in such bad pain for so many years that I did not realize how much I was suffering until the pain was gone! The only bad thing was the Taltz injections were very painful, but in 2023, Taltz changed the formula and the injections are now pain-free! Thank you Lilly!"

For Psoriasis "I had immediate results. I was really impressed with how smooth my skin was. All areas were gone, and it all started with the first dose. My downfall was I ended up with folliculitis. A week or so, my head would itch so bad, and then I started getting sore areas on my head. I mean, they were so bad that I couldn’t even lay my head on my pillow. Then these areas would start getting bigger and bigger, and they would drain pus out of them. I lost the hair in these areas. I was just fortunate that my hair did grow back."

For Plaque Psoriasis "Overall, I'm very pleased with how clear my skin is after taking only 4 injections. I had been taking Stelara, but it seemed to stop working after about a year. I found the auto injector very painful, but I was able to switch to the preloaded syringe, and it's a lot more comfortable."

For Plaque Psoriasis "Taltz works really well. But, oh my God, the pain during the injections is almost unbearable. I have to have someone give me my injection because I'm crying the whole time. I wish they could make it like it was with the Humira injection that didn't hurt at all."

For Non-Radiographic Axial Spondyloarthritis "I am now on my 3rd dose of Taltz. My loading dose was 160mg (two 80mg pens, injected in both thighs) which I had injection site reactions oddly 2 weeks later. My 2nd dose (80 mg injected in my abdomen) I also had injection site reaction but happened pretty immediately. None of them were painful just tender to the touch for a couple days. I took my 3rd injection yesterday (80mg injected into thigh). The only side effects I experienced were 1-2 days after injection I kind of felt generally unwell sort of like when you are coming down with the common cold (body aches, tiredness, stuffy nose). After that I have been fine and can tell I am starting to feel better. I know it will take some time to see full results and look forward to that."

For Ankylosing Spondylitis "I’m on Taltz about a month now. My insurance chose it for me (which shouldn’t be legal). The pain of the injection pen is silly high. Then you get lumps at the injection site. The joint pain has been much worse than the last medication. Really bad blurred vision. Neck, shoulder, and arm pain. I don’t recommend it, but I’m so glad it worked for a few on here. I haven’t had my liver checked, but I’m going to be careful with it. It’s hard to believe anyone would feel better on this."

For Plaque Psoriasis "I was using it by a trial for a year, and I'm in love. My skin was clear like in the first 2 weeks of my first dose. I have 3 types of psoriasis, and it works great. I got my first prescription for it and am still waiting for the pharmacy to know how much my copay is. Never felt so great in my life, and I was diagnosed with psoriasis for more than 20 years. Lo usé mediante prueba del medicamento por un año y quedé completamente enamorada. Mi piel quedó limpia en las primeras 2 semanas luego de mi primera dosis. Tengo 3 tipos de psoriasis y el medicamento trabaja increíble. Ya obtuve mi primera receta y sigo esperando por la farmacia para saber cuánto es mi deducible. Nunca había tenido la piel tan limpia en mis 20 años de diagnosticada."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "After many years on Humira, I switched to Taltz. The pain at the injection site is horrid. Just as they took the sting out of Humira, I had to switch. This is the worst for me yet as far as injection site, but it is working on my psoriasis, swelling, and pain so much better than Humira."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "I just started my injections today. I was reading the reviews, and combined with a horrible experience in the past with the epi-style self-injections, it made me not even want to try the injection. I was terrified, but after a few deep breaths, I quickly hit the button, and I felt nothing. If there wasn't a stick mark and a bit of raised skin, I would have thought the injection didn’t work. One injection site is without any noticeable mark an hour after injection, but the second injection site has a large welt. I’ll update my review after a few months."

For Plaque Psoriasis "I was on Taltz for 8 months for P and PA. At first, it cleared my skin fairly quickly, but when I hit the once-a-month dose, my psoriasis came roaring back. My plaques are much larger now than they've ever been and in places I never had P before. I am not a big fan of biologics anyway, too expensive and dangerous, and have read some patients have benefited more from probiotic therapy and a better diet. Overall, I am very disappointed in Taltz and would not recommend it."

For Ankylosing Spondylitis "I'm still learning as it's only been 4 months, but it is definitely helping. My hip pain has gone down, and I have sporadic joint pain, but I notice in my body about 2 days before I need the shot, and then I'm good. Only once have I had a site itch for that day and once have had a lot of joint pain the day after an injection. But that's it. I take 80 mg once a month in an injection. It is very easy to use. I am able to go back to the gym and do modified workouts without any hip pain."
