For Plaque Psoriasis "I’m 61 and have had psoriasis since I was 8 years old, have tried every treatment. Tried Otezla, and it affected my liver, kidneys, so got off that. I started Taltz a year and a half ago with fabulous results. In the last 8 weeks, I have never, ever been so sick with a sore throat, swollen lymph node on the right side, cough, and sticky phlegm. I feel lousy on and off, and this throat infection won’t go away. I have had every blood test, strep test, and everything checks out fine. I’m on hold now for the next shot. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what I should do. I have to go back to work, but if I’m this sick all the time... is it worth it? Any other comments would be appreciated."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "Diagnosed with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis disease 16 years ago. Put on methotrexate; Simponi 1x a month with 20 mg leflunomide every day for 10 years but developed a chronic cough, and leflunomide caused diarrhea. Cimzia (3 months - no change). Started Taltz 1x a month 18 months ago. Rheumatologist added 500 mg of sulfasalazine a day; doctor prescribed 50 mg Arthrotec 2x a day for pain. Taltz works well on the psoriasis but is not working on the arthritis. Past 5 months have been experiencing horrible tendon/muscle pain in upper arms, wrists, outside of calves. Joints feel stiff, and I am noticing more plaque on the soles of my feet. Biologics are supposed to be the most aggressive treatment, but most seem to be supported with secondary medications. Agree with others, the injection is painful, burns, and leaves a welt for 3-7 days; icing before injection helps - EpiPen style is better! Some biologics are used as TNF blockers while others are inhibitors."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "I have suffered from PsA for 40 years now, and nothing really seems to bring it under control. I have recently started on Taltz, just had the second dose, and I am very disappointed in this injection. Apart from it being very painful to inject, I have painful swelling around the site for a week or so and a constant cough, and no improvement from the arthritis."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "Just finished the loading doses, the pain is gone, but not the psoriasis. I have a regular cough now, but no other side effects. I check in with my doctor next week."
