For Plaque Psoriasis "This stuff is absolutely amazing. I've been on Enbrel, Stelara, Humira, methotrexate, topicals, and none of them have ever done this well. Within 3 days of the first injection, I started to see clearing. I thought, no way! But it has only continued to get better. I'm about to inject my week 5 dose and most of my areas are scale-free. My self-esteem has gone way up. My wife isn't complaining about flakes in the bed. No bloody spots on the sheets from picking. I can wear dark-colored shirts, short sleeves, no sleeves again; and not be concerned about people staring. Yes, the injection stings. Yes, sometimes the injection leaves a swelling under the skin. But for me, it is completely worth it."

For Plaque Psoriasis "Taltz caused severe swelling the size of hockey pucks that lasted an entire week at injection sites for the initial two injections (mid-thigh). Thought it was just my body adjusting to the new medication, but upon week #2 injection, an even worse reaction! Same 'hockey puck' under my skin as week #1 and spread to an 8' hardened 'pancake' under the skin with redness, severe swelling, itching (for a week and counting). It is painful and radiating heat, an under-the-skin 'hive.' My doctor believes I may be reacting to a certain protein often used in injections. I was on Stelara = no improvement, tried Humira, and had some improvement but problems getting the product shipped at proper refrigerated temps and flimsy injections needing to be replaced."

For Plaque Psoriasis "I actually have guttate psoriasis. I tried light therapy, creams, and Otezla. Taltz is amazing! I have cleared up pretty much 95%! Using this drug, there is a good 5/10 second pinching feeling when using the auto-injector. I found I'd really swell up around the injection site for a few days. But I started taking allergy pills/antihistamine a day before my shot and a day after, and it really helped the swelling. Being on any drugs sucks, but this really did a miracle on my psoriasis."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "Got diagnosed when I was 19. I have tried Humira, Enbrel, Stelara, and Taltz. Stelara was the least painful for me and worked best for my psoriasis but did not help my arthritis. Taltz is the only medication that has helped my arthritis. I do not like this shot, though. It hurts the worst going into the skin compared to the others I have tried. I also have a reaction every month, a giant red welt on the injection site that is hot and swollen for a week after the shot. I usually administer the shot in my thigh, so it also causes me to limp for a day or two. Wish I had another option to try that did not put me at risk for fertility issues, but apparently this is my last option for now."

For Plaque Psoriasis "I have been taking Taltz for 18 months. Saw immediate results with joint pain and the psoriasis. But after a year, having some side effects. Swollen eyelids and itchy feet. Severe abdominal pain. Mentioned these issues to my dermatologist, and he's not seeing a connection. Not sure what to do."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "I've taken Taltz for psoriatic arthritis for a few months. I want to know if anyone else has experienced this odd effect. It has helped my hands, feet, knees, and shoulders greatly. But I alternate injections in my right and left upper arms. The second month, it left a goose egg knot on my upper arm. That was gone in two days, but then I thought I had injured my shoulder. I could not raise my arm without terrible pain deep in my shoulder. This lasted for 2-3 weeks but got better. Last week, I injected this month's shot in my left arm. Swelling was much worse. Two days later, I woke up and had the same shoulder issue on this side. I cannot raise my arm. It kills me to move my shoulder. I can't fix my hair, drive with two hands. Very deep, sharp shoulder pain. It happened a day or two after each shot in each arm. I've never had shoulder issues. What in the world?"

For Psoriasis "I had psoriasis that the dermatologist diagnosed with a biopsy and spondylitis in the spine found with X-rays, as well as back pain, swollen toes, and more. Taltz pushed psoriasis into remission (it only acts up occasionally on the scalp, and I treat it with fungicide). Psoriatic arthritis and spondylitis are better too. All symptoms are minor now. Could not do much until I got Taltz. I had pain, swelling, cramping, and had given up working out and more. Now I am plaque free, can go to the gym, and am getting my life back thanks to Taltz. It's a very painful injection, but it's over in a few minutes, and I am grateful. Use ice, Tylenol, and Benadryl with a lidocaine patch 30 minutes before injection. Have the doctor give you your injection (not you), and it's worth it. Use a syringe, not an auto-injector pen. I had IBS before Taltz, and Linzess helps my tummy. Nausea managed with magnesium gummies and ginger caps in the morning. Insurance paid because of the biopsy, X-rays, and the doctor diagnosed all properly. My insurance covers, and the most paid was $5.00 per month. I think it's a great drug as long as it is injected right."

For Psoriatic Arthritis "I have had this God-forsaken disease of Psoriatic Arthritis too long, like most of you. I am on shot 4 loading dose, and it has taken me from wanting to die to what I call now living in such an awful place. My swelling and pain in my head, neck, and shoulders is almost perfect. But then there is my right arm and shoulder. It seems like my tendons are spinning, and they tighten up so much it will burst my skin if I do not keep manipulating it around in circles. You can’t make this stuff up. When I walk, it tightens, and makes me feel as if I am slowing down, and it gets harder and harder until I have to literally spin around in place to relieve the tendon. I am at a loss. I was so hoping this would work, and it sort of did. My mind is burnt, and my will is broken. Prayers for all. Has anyone else ever had these symptoms?"
