For Birth Control "I had been on Lo Loestrin Fe for years with no problems, recently, my doctor switched me to Blisovi 24 Fe, and I am now on month two. They are not even the same pills. I am throwing these pills away today. I’ve never had anxiety and depression until being on this pill. Today at work, I randomly burst into tears. I DO NOT DO THIS. I have zero sex drive to the point I don’t even want to hug my husband anymore. I have heart palpitations and a constant brain fog. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this birth control. THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS. I don’t even recognize myself anymore, and I’ve always been a confident woman. Currently crying while writing this."

"I was in Lo Loestrin for years but switched to Blisovi 24 Fe. I have been on this pill for about 2 months now. I’ve been having terrible headaches, nausea/vomiting, and my mood has been all over the place. I have anxiety, and as soon as I started this pill, I have seen it heighten incredibly. My anxiety is terrible now. My mood swings are almost as bad as the anxiety. I become angry and upset so quickly, and I’ve never been like this in my life. I feel insane and emotional. I’m so happy to know that I am not alone, I read all the reviews on this site because it makes me feel less crazy. I’m definitely getting off of this. Also, my face is starting to break out in places I’ve never broken out before (my chin + around my mouth). Please discuss other options with your gyno before switching to this birth control!!!"

For Birth Control "This stuff is the worst. I was put on it to prevent ovarian cysts. But my hair is falling out, my acne is horrible, I have anxiety, insomnia, mood swings, crying spells, and dark thoughts. I’d rather just have cyst ruptures, honestly, and they’re so painful. :( Be careful what you put in your body, ladies. I’d advise you to avoid this BC at all costs."

For Birth Control "This birth control is the worst thing that's ever happened to me. I started taking it as soon as I started my sophomore year of college, and I have never been more anxious and depressed in my life. I have panic attacks, nausea, weight loss, heart palpitations, “brain fog,” my vision has been blurry, and I get dizzy a lot, the list could honestly go on. These symptoms started within the first week of taking this pill, and I also missed my last period, and I'm not pregnant. Avoid this birth control at ALL costs!!!!!"

For Birth Control "I actually love this brand. I used to have regular breakouts around my period, heavy periods with bad cramping, and was really prone to ovarian cysts. Blisovi completely cleared up my acne, my cramps are pretty much non-existent, and I haven't had ANY pain or recent cysts. I do feel a little shaky and on edge sometimes, but nothing too serious. I've also maintained the same weight I started them on. To each their own."

For Birth Control "So happy I read these reviews! I was switched onto Blisovi after my beloved Gildess went out of production. Within the first few months, I noticed a massive weight gain (15-20 pounds) that has been impossible to get off with diet and exercise. My anxiety has been through the roof, I bloat the second I so much as look at salt, sleep is on and off, my breasts can get extremely tender, and I no longer get my period at all but experience god-awful cramping and random spotting. I also have a thyroid condition (borderline Hashimoto's), and this has mucked up my head and my mood/depression like crazy. Some days, it's impossible to get out of bed, and my energy is gone by 2 pm. I'm in my first year of marriage, and I've been a miserable fat wench thanks to Blisovi."

For Birth Control "The worst!!! Please run away from this pill!! I took this BC for about 7 months, and on the 7th month, I began to feel crazy!!! I began to get severe depression and anxiety! I also would get sudden dark and weird thoughts. This medication made me feel like a complete psychopath! I’m a happy and cool person, but this medication made me feel so irritable. I was angry, I couldn’t sleep and would wake up in the middle of the night. My panic attacks would have me at the most random places crying and begging God to save me. Whatever you do, avoid this medication!!!!"

For Birth Control "This is a HORRIBLE drug. I’ve been on it for three weeks, but today was my LAST time to take one of these pills. I will never take another one. I have experienced the following: — extreme tiredness, sluggishness, and loss of motivation — anxiety and twitchy muscles — cramps and spotting — increased hunger and weight gain despite exercising and mostly clean eating — increased time for eyes to focus — decreased libido — heart palpitations — general malaise/feelings of being unwell. Blisovi 24 FE is NOT good for your body or your mind. I am very regretful that I let myself ingest this stuff. Now I am quitting cold turkey at the end of the third week, hoping that my body will get back to normal soon. Taking this pill was a gigantic mistake."

For Birth Control "My ob/gyn prescribed Blisovi as an alternative to Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, which I LOVED. She said all of her patients love it, and I would too. In one week, I woke up from a panic attack that was so severe I thought I was having a heart attack. My anxiety was so easily triggered while on this, I had heart palpitations and weird breathing even if I thought of something mildly uncomfortable. My gyno said birth control pills don’t cause anxiety and that I and all of the people who said they had issues on the internet are wrong, since “no one I've ever given it to has had any issues.” She said all progesterones are the same and that nothing would be different unless I control my anxiety because *that* was the problem. I got a second opinion today and was told that the progesterone in Blisovi is different from Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and that people react differently to each type of hormone. Don’t let your gyno bully you into thinking you have to take what they gave you or nothing at all."

For Birth Control "This was my first birth control, and I had a horrible experience. The first few days were fine, and then all of a sudden, my whole face and chest broke out. I’ve always had acne, but this was next-level acne that didn’t go away. I also experienced horrible anxiety and nausea. I was constantly nervous, and sometimes the anxiety and nausea would wake me up at night for hours at a time. I have a history of anxiety, so maybe I’m more prone to having panic attacks, but before going on this medication, my anxiety was under control, and I had no panic attacks a few months prior. A few days after stopping the medication, my acne cleared, I gained back my appetite, and I was no longer having panic attacks. Everyone’s experience was different, but mine was very bad with this medication."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill, and after a little over a month, I noticed I was getting highly depressed and high anxiety. I haven't changed anything in my life. I just stopped recently in hopes that this stops it."

For Birth Control "This is the worst pill that has ever happened to me. Do NOT take this pill. I am 31 years old and never in my life have written a review, but this pill gave me the WORST panic attacks where I thought I was going crazy, basically made me almost suicidal, thinking I needed to be medicated for anxiety. I got off it last week, and 2 days later!!! felt like a new person. Beware!! This birth control is so dangerous and should be taken off the market, in my opinion! Was the worst month of my life."

For Birth Control "I started taking birth control at 17 due to a genetic condition I have (Familial Mediterranean Fever). Since I was 15-16, every month my period (the estrogen rise and drop) would trigger an episode. I did my research and got on birth control to stop my periods, and since then (I am almost 19), I RARELY experience episodes. Overall, birth control has completely changed my life for the better. Yet, aside from the fact that birth control has prevented my episodes for the most part, I experienced extreme depression, anxiety, and disassociation (brain fog, forgetfulness) the first three months I was on it. Over the course of those three months, it gradually got better. I am no longer depressed, forgetful, or disassociated, but I do experience mood swings, outbursts, occasional anxiety, and I cry very, very easily. I have noticed that recently my emotions have gotten worse, and I've been on this for a year and a half. I may speak with my doctor, but the pros weigh out the cons."

For Birth Control "I definitely started noticing that my anxiety has been through the roof since I was switched to Blisovi 24 Fe. I have never been an anxious person, but being a mother of two daughters, I just assumed it was normal to be stressed all the time, but it has changed me. I feel like I have developed social anxiety as well. All of these things that I couldn't explain... Then, I see the reviews at a 3.2!! Wow!! That is the worst rating on this site!!!! I am switching to Sprintec today. Please don't ignore your symptoms! If you feel different in your own body, listen to your intuition!"

For Birth Control "I started on this BC, Blisovi 24 Fe, after having my 3rd child. She’s a year old, and within the last year, I have developed severe anxiety, depression, outbursts, and mood swings. To the point I feel like I’m going crazy, and I can’t get a grip. I’ve been so up and down. I had no idea why I felt like this until I stopped taking it for a week and a half, then started back, and all my symptoms came back. It’s taken a toll on my kids, my marriage, and myself, as I kept thinking I wasn’t worthy of being a wife, mom, and I just didn’t want to be here! I’m so glad I figured out it was the birth control making me feel this way because I have been on a downhill spiral!!"

For Birth Control "I love this birth control! I’ve been taking it for over 2 years now! I also deal with depression and anxiety, but this medication has done nothing to enhance it! I have not gained weight with this pill as I have with others in the past! My hair has changed texture completely and is now shinier and better than it has ever been!"

For Birth Control "I never leave comments, but this I need to with Blisovi 24 Fe. I’ve been on this for a month, and I have to stop it. This is the only birth control I’ve ever been on, and quite frankly, I never want to take it again. I took it for heavy bleeding, and it made my period last for 2 weeks with still constant spotting. Five-pound weight gain, constantly bloated like every day. It has made me beyond emotional and anxious too. I’ve been crying over the silliest things, and I don’t feel like myself at all. I will never take this again."

For Birth Control "I don't normally comment, and I'm only here to see if any reviews talked about getting pregnant after stopping Blisovi (I plan to stop taking it soon to start trying for a pregnancy). However, I wanted to share my experience because it's been much more positive than the other reviews. I switched to Blisovi after taking the Depo-Provera shot for about 5 years. While on the shot, I was often depressed/anxious and had moderate acne. Once I switched to Blisovi, my anxiety and depression decreased, and my face has not been this clear since before puberty (even my acne scars are healing!). I don't take the sugar pill, so I have not had a period while on it (except after my COVID shot, which was weird). My weight has been consistent, and I have not noticed any other symptoms. I take the pill about the same time every day, plus it minus an hour or two. I haven't noticed any problems if I take it a bit later than usual. I've been on it for about 2 years now. It works for me and my body."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for 2 years, and I am so glad I saw these reviews. I’ve suffered with unprompted anxiety, but I always thought it was normal. I have gained weight, my acne around PMS is absolutely horrible, my back hurts, and the nausea is so hard to manage. I will never be taking this pill again. Please listen to the reviews and know you aren’t going crazy!!!"

For Birth Control "Been on BC since I was 16 because of ovarian cysts. Never had problems with BC. For 10+ years, enjoyed the controlled, predictable periods, and of course zero problems with cysts, and that was that. I loved being on BC (Junel, Microgestin). Took Blisovi for a few months, got two periods a month. Full-blown bleeding every other week. Stuck it out for a few months, tried to let my body adjust, finally stopped for 6 months to let my period normalize. Recently started Blisovi back up because of ovarian inflammation until I can get back to the doctor to change BC. Two weeks on it and the problems have started again already. Constant spotting. Extreme lethargy. Irritability. Anxiety. Possible hives reaction connection. Inflammation during ovulation."

For Birth Control "Ok. This pill has its ups and downs. The first week of taking this pill... I felt fine. When it came to the end of the month, though, I was in a downright spiral. I mean, wow. I had the worst mood swings on top of already ongoing depression and anxiety. I was crying like crazy, and I honestly couldn’t see the good in any situation. I saw someone compare it to having paranoia, and, yeah, that’s exactly what it felt like. I started taking everything my boyfriend and others said to me to heart, and it really put me in a bad place. I confided in my therapist and my gyno to figure out why I was feeling this way, and they let me know this feeling was natural and to give it some time. It’s been about 4-5 months on this pill, and honestly, I feel fine. So if you're worried about the mood swings, don’t take this pill, but if you think you can wait it out, I say go for it. It’s been doing me justice this far."

For Birth Control "I had a terrible experience on this birth control pill. I thought I was losing my mind, it completely exacerbated my anxiety and depression to the point where I had paranoia. I was seeking a psychiatrist to be medicated because of how terrible I felt. I didn't realize this pill was causing all of the above issues until my pharmacist switched me over to Mylan, a generic form of Ortho Tri-Cyclen. After being on Mylan for a month, I feel like myself and realized it was Blisovi 24 Fe that made me feel psychotic."

For Birth Control "I was extremely skeptical to start taking birth control. I have struggled with pretty severe anxiety, depression, mood swings, and suicidal tendencies for a long time. After reading many negative reviews of a variety of brands, I was very reluctant to try it. I've been taking Blisovi 24 Fe for a month now, and I am shocked by the results. I am the happiest and most even-tempered I have been in a very long time! I no longer have mood swings, I have not had any suicidal thoughts, and my depression and anxiety have slowly faded away. I have been prescribed actual anti-depression/anxiety meds in the past, which only made me worse, so I am so shocked that this pill actually helped me! I don't think there's any telling how you will react to the pill or a certain brand of it until you try it. But if you are scared to, don't be! I'm so happy I decided to push past my fears and give it a try! Worst comes to worst, you can just stop taking it."
