For Birth Control "I was extremely skeptical to start taking birth control. I have struggled with pretty severe anxiety, depression, mood swings, and suicidal tendencies for a long time. After reading many negative reviews of a variety of brands, I was very reluctant to try it. I've been taking Blisovi 24 Fe for a month now, and I am shocked by the results. I am the happiest and most even-tempered I have been in a very long time! I no longer have mood swings, I have not had any suicidal thoughts, and my depression and anxiety have slowly faded away. I have been prescribed actual anti-depression/anxiety meds in the past, which only made me worse, so I am so shocked that this pill actually helped me! I don't think there's any telling how you will react to the pill or a certain brand of it until you try it. But if you are scared to, don't be! I'm so happy I decided to push past my fears and give it a try! Worst comes to worst, you can just stop taking it."

For Birth Control "I had been on Lo Loestrin Fe for years with no problems, recently, my doctor switched me to Blisovi 24 Fe, and I am now on month two. They are not even the same pills. I am throwing these pills away today. I’ve never had anxiety and depression until being on this pill. Today at work, I randomly burst into tears. I DO NOT DO THIS. I have zero sex drive to the point I don’t even want to hug my husband anymore. I have heart palpitations and a constant brain fog. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this birth control. THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS. I don’t even recognize myself anymore, and I’ve always been a confident woman. Currently crying while writing this."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICINE if you do and experience side effects such as nausea, unstable moods, depression, low to NO sex drive, constantly fatigued, constant yeast issues, brain fog, and your Dr. tells you it has nothing to do with the birth control and recommends you stay on it, and also blames the side effects on something else and sends you for blood work after blood work, all while getting PERFECT results back. GET A DIFFERENT Dr. AND STOP TAKING THIS BIRTH CONTROL IMMEDIATELY. I stupidly trusted my Dr. for YEARS when she told me it was impossible these side effects are from this birth control. When I finally got the sense to just do the research myself, it was clear as day that this IS the reason I have been experiencing the side effects mentioned above to the point where it has been noticeable to my family and friends. I have stopped taking this birth control and cannot wait to see the improvements."

For Birth Control "4 months in and I can't complain. I am on this for PCOS. My main thing is I would recommend taking a B complex. I saw that birth control depletes B vitamins, which can cause mood swings and depression. I've taken a B complex vitamin every day along with the birth control and haven't had any mood swings. Had spotting during my second month but was expecting that while adjusting. My acne didn't get better or worse and didn't gain any weight. Always eat a little something with the pill or you'll be nauseous."

For Birth Control "This birth control is the worst thing that's ever happened to me. I started taking it as soon as I started my sophomore year of college, and I have never been more anxious and depressed in my life. I have panic attacks, nausea, weight loss, heart palpitations, “brain fog,” my vision has been blurry, and I get dizzy a lot, the list could honestly go on. These symptoms started within the first week of taking this pill, and I also missed my last period, and I'm not pregnant. Avoid this birth control at ALL costs!!!!!"

For Birth Control "The worst!!! Please run away from this pill!! I took this BC for about 7 months, and on the 7th month, I began to feel crazy!!! I began to get severe depression and anxiety! I also would get sudden dark and weird thoughts. This medication made me feel like a complete psychopath! I’m a happy and cool person, but this medication made me feel so irritable. I was angry, I couldn’t sleep and would wake up in the middle of the night. My panic attacks would have me at the most random places crying and begging God to save me. Whatever you do, avoid this medication!!!!"

For Birth Control "This is a HORRIBLE drug. I’ve been on it for three weeks, but today was my LAST time to take one of these pills. I will never take another one. I have experienced the following: — extreme tiredness, sluggishness, and loss of motivation — anxiety and twitchy muscles — cramps and spotting — increased hunger and weight gain despite exercising and mostly clean eating — increased time for eyes to focus — decreased libido — heart palpitations — general malaise/feelings of being unwell. Blisovi 24 FE is NOT good for your body or your mind. I am very regretful that I let myself ingest this stuff. Now I am quitting cold turkey at the end of the third week, hoping that my body will get back to normal soon. Taking this pill was a gigantic mistake."

For Birth Control "Do not take this birth control! It is a nightmare! The first couple of months on Blisovi 24 Fe were fine, but starting around month 6, I was so depressed, wanted to sleep all day, not motivated. Horrible mood swings, no sex drive at all! The worst acne I have ever experienced! I have never had acne until I started this pill. I have been off this birth control for two days and already feel 100 times better! Find another pill to take because this is not worth it!"

For Birth Control "These reviews are saving my life. My moods have been the absolute worst since starting Blisovi back in December. I have said things I never ever would have said, I snap at people, I cry at every little thing. My poor friends have been on the receiving end of all of this. I'll be surprised if they're still my friends. I feel like absolute garbage. I also take medication for migraines, which also happens to be an anti-depressant, so I wonder if these two medications are not working well together? I'm calling my OBGYN tomorrow to get off of this medication. I can't deal with this. I want to be myself again."

For Birth Control "I started taking birth control at 17 due to a genetic condition I have (Familial Mediterranean Fever). Since I was 15-16, every month my period (the estrogen rise and drop) would trigger an episode. I did my research and got on birth control to stop my periods, and since then (I am almost 19), I RARELY experience episodes. Overall, birth control has completely changed my life for the better. Yet, aside from the fact that birth control has prevented my episodes for the most part, I experienced extreme depression, anxiety, and disassociation (brain fog, forgetfulness) the first three months I was on it. Over the course of those three months, it gradually got better. I am no longer depressed, forgetful, or disassociated, but I do experience mood swings, outbursts, occasional anxiety, and I cry very, very easily. I have noticed that recently my emotions have gotten worse, and I've been on this for a year and a half. I may speak with my doctor, but the pros weigh out the cons."

For Birth Control "So glad I read these. I've gained 15 lbs in the past 6 months without a lifestyle change. The only difference was this BC. I thought I was crazy. I was getting super depressed about the weight. I work out daily and eat really well. Can't wait to switch and feel normal again."

For Birth Control "This birth control is the absolute worst! I got this prescription for my irregular periods and it’s made it worse. I have a history with depression, and it completely triggered it again. I would wake up crying and picking fights with my boyfriend all the time. Not only that, but my sex drive is gone. My boyfriend and I haven’t had sex in almost two months because 1) my libido is at an all-time low 2) my self-esteem is at 0 3) I feel tired all the time. Do not take this pill."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this BC for a year now. Everything started out what seemed to be okay. Then things slowly started to get worse. My mood swings had changed tremendously, I had no motivation to do anything. I had never had depression until I took this BC along with panic attacks. I also seemed to lose all sex drive, and I’m only 22. I don’t recommend taking this BC. It didn’t do me any favors whatsoever."

For Birth Control "Omg, thank god I read all these reviews. This pill has made me get so depressed, nothing makes me happy anymore, and I was thinking of going to a psychiatrist!!!! This is the worst feeling ever. I felt helpless and cried a lot. I am calling my doctor tomorrow and letting her know. Thank you to all for the reviews because this feeling isn’t good. I kept trying to talk myself out of it and trying not to cry in front of people for no reason."

For Birth Control "This pill is the worst!!!!! I'm a freshman in college and have been on it for almost three months, but I'm stopping it today. I can't take it anymore. I am so depressed to the point where I have spent the entire day crying on what is supposed to be a nice and relaxing family vacation!! I have terrible mood swings, gained 10 lbs, my skin is breaking out, and gotten depression (which I have had before while not taking BC), which has only been increasing during my time on the pill! I read the terrible reviews and at first thought Blisovi 24 Fe wasn't too bad, but after three months I am experiencing almost everything that everyone else who hated this pill experienced. The only plus is that my boobs got bigger lol. But seriously, do not take this."

For Birth Control "I started on this BC, Blisovi 24 Fe, after having my 3rd child. She’s a year old, and within the last year, I have developed severe anxiety, depression, outbursts, and mood swings. To the point I feel like I’m going crazy, and I can’t get a grip. I’ve been so up and down. I had no idea why I felt like this until I stopped taking it for a week and a half, then started back, and all my symptoms came back. It’s taken a toll on my kids, my marriage, and myself, as I kept thinking I wasn’t worthy of being a wife, mom, and I just didn’t want to be here! I’m so glad I figured out it was the birth control making me feel this way because I have been on a downhill spiral!!"

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for a month and a half after my pharmacy gave it to me. I called to say you gave me the wrong pill (Junel Fe 24 is what I was on), and they said the manufacturer changed, but this is the SAME birth control. It's manufactured in India. In a month and a half, I have gained 7-8 pounds. I am very athletic, I eat a plant-based diet, I work out, I sit as a job, but that hasn't made me gain weight like this. I am annoyed. I worked for 9 months to lose 30 pounds, now I am gaining weight for no reason, crying all the time for no reason, self-doubting myself and my poor boyfriend's love for me, AND BREAKING OUT, which is why I got on birth control in the first place."

I have not gained weight with this pill as I have with others in the past! My hair has changed texture completely and is now shinier and better than it has ever been!"

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control Blisovi Fe for about 3 months now, and I definitely saw something different in me. For some reason, I’ve been very sad lately, as I am already on depression medication (Lexapro), and it makes it 10x worse. Blisovi Fe makes me have very thick ovulation, but when it gets time for me to start my period, it doesn’t start until like the 3rd day of taking the brown pills, and it LASTS for 1 day, literally the lightest ever. I mean, it’s good and all, but sometimes it scares me with the way my body slowly reacts to it."

For Birth Control "I don't normally comment, and I'm only here to see if any reviews talked about getting pregnant after stopping Blisovi (I plan to stop taking it soon to start trying for a pregnancy). However, I wanted to share my experience because it's been much more positive than the other reviews. I switched to Blisovi after taking the Depo-Provera shot for about 5 years. While on the shot, I was often depressed/anxious and had moderate acne. Once I switched to Blisovi, my anxiety and depression decreased, and my face has not been this clear since before puberty (even my acne scars are healing!). I don't take the sugar pill, so I have not had a period while on it (except after my COVID shot, which was weird). My weight has been consistent, and I have not noticed any other symptoms. I take the pill about the same time every day, plus it minus an hour or two. I haven't noticed any problems if I take it a bit later than usual. I've been on it for about 2 years now. It works for me and my body."

For Birth Control "Ok. This pill has its ups and downs. The first week of taking this pill... I felt fine. When it came to the end of the month, though, I was in a downright spiral. I mean, wow. I had the worst mood swings on top of already ongoing depression and anxiety. I was crying like crazy, and I honestly couldn’t see the good in any situation. I saw someone compare it to having paranoia, and, yeah, that’s exactly what it felt like. I started taking everything my boyfriend and others said to me to heart, and it really put me in a bad place. I confided in my therapist and my gyno to figure out why I was feeling this way, and they let me know this feeling was natural and to give it some time. It’s been about 4-5 months on this pill, and honestly, I feel fine. So if you're worried about the mood swings, don’t take this pill, but if you think you can wait it out, I say go for it. It’s been doing me justice this far."

For Birth Control "I had a terrible experience on this birth control pill. I thought I was losing my mind, it completely exacerbated my anxiety and depression to the point where I had paranoia. I was seeking a psychiatrist to be medicated because of how terrible I felt. I didn't realize this pill was causing all of the above issues until my pharmacist switched me over to Mylan, a generic form of Ortho Tri-Cyclen. After being on Mylan for a month, I feel like myself and realized it was Blisovi 24 Fe that made me feel psychotic."
