For Birth Control "I’ve been taking this for just over a month, and I actually like it. The first week, I had some nausea, and the second week some bleeding and light cramping that lasted around 8 days. But since then, no side effects. One thing I was worried about was weight gain, but since starting Blisovi 24 Fe, I’ve actually lost around 5 lbs. My period was lighter than it’s ever been, super light. I also had no PMS or period symptoms. Would recommend, but I feel like the experience is different for everyone."

For Birth Control "Went to the pharmacy thinking I was picking up Gildess and got Blisovi Fe 1.5/30. Started it, and immediately after starting it, I had severe abdominal pains and cramps that were keeping me up all night. Took it for 4 days and no relief. Plan on calling my doctor tomorrow. Not sure if anyone else has had this experience."

For Birth Control "After reading a couple of reviews, let me first start off that everybody responds to medicine differently. Not everyone has the same response to the same medicine. This is my first BC that I've taken, and so far I like it. Before, I would always have light periods that were either lengthy or off and on, so I wanted BC to keep it consistent. Now I have extremely light periods that last barely a day or two. My skin is fairly clear, and I've gained about 5 lbs, which is a struggle for me to keep on weight (5 ft, 106 lbs). I noticed that I am a whole lot less moody, but the cramps prior to my period are more severe."

For Birth Control "So happy I read these reviews! I was switched onto Blisovi after my beloved Gildess went out of production. Within the first few months, I noticed a massive weight gain (15-20 pounds) that has been impossible to get off with diet and exercise. My anxiety has been through the roof, I bloat the second I so much as look at salt, sleep is on and off, my breasts can get extremely tender, and I no longer get my period at all but experience god-awful cramping and random spotting. I also have a thyroid condition (borderline Hashimoto's), and this has mucked up my head and my mood/depression like crazy. Some days, it's impossible to get out of bed, and my energy is gone by 2 pm. I'm in my first year of marriage, and I've been a miserable fat wench thanks to Blisovi."

For Birth Control "This is a HORRIBLE drug. I’ve been on it for three weeks, but today was my LAST time to take one of these pills. I will never take another one. I have experienced the following: — extreme tiredness, sluggishness, and loss of motivation — anxiety and twitchy muscles — cramps and spotting — increased hunger and weight gain despite exercising and mostly clean eating — increased time for eyes to focus — decreased libido — heart palpitations — general malaise/feelings of being unwell. Blisovi 24 FE is NOT good for your body or your mind. I am very regretful that I let myself ingest this stuff. Now I am quitting cold turkey at the end of the third week, hoping that my body will get back to normal soon. Taking this pill was a gigantic mistake."

For Birth Control "Before taking Blisovi 24 Fe, I had taken Lo Loestrin Fe for 3 years and loved it! My insurance company stopped covering Lo Loestrin Fe, so I switched to Blisovi 24 Fe. So far, this pill has done everything I went on the pill to avoid! I have awful cramps, heavy bleeding, sore breasts, acne, mood swings, etc. I have given my body the suggested amount of time to adjust, and my symptoms still have not improved. My experience with this birth control was awful, and I am just waiting for my appeal to go through so I can get back on Lo Loestrin Fe again."

For Birth Control "I was started on Gildess 1/20 but then was switched to Blisovi after the recall. I absolutely HATE this birth control. Ever since starting it, I have been having moderate to heavy periods twice a month. My cramps have been pretty bad too, the last heavy period I had, my cramps lasted the entire week, as opposed to going away the second day like they normally do. My mood swings are the worst they've ever been, and I find myself crying at the drop of a hat and mad at everything. And just as some of the other women have stated, I have been extremely thirsty while on this pill, and I can't wait to change it. The only good thing about this pill is that I'm not pregnant. That's the ONLY good thing about it."

For Birth Control "I've been taking it for about 2 months now. The first month was terrible only because of my body adjusting to the new hormone levels. I had breakthrough bleeding for two weeks, my breasts were so sore the entire month, and I had cramps/back pains almost every day. My period was a breeze, though. No cramps, no breast pain, very light flow, and no acne! My second month has been amazing. It's helped control mood swings and the sense of anxiety and depression I get when serotonin levels drop around my period. The only thing I have to complain about is the sense of bloating I have. It goes away, though, when I avoid all of the salty foods and processed sugars I crave. Other than that, I really enjoy this product. Everyone's bodies are different."

For Birth Control "My doctor switched me from Loestrin to this because I was having some pains consistent with ovarian cysts bursting. I was only on Blisovi for about 6 months until I had to switch back to Loestrin! I had constant cramping pain, no sex drive, acne all over my chin, jawline, and mouth, quick weight gain, especially in lower stomach, fatigue, and loss of motivation. Now after 2 weeks back on Loestrin, my acne is gone, cramping is gone, feeling more sexual and awake, haven’t dropped any of the weight I gained but still working on it. Mind you, I was smaller my entire life and gained 20 pounds once on Blisovi, and it really made me feel like I wasn’t myself. If you feel these symptoms, stop taking immediately."

For Birth Control "I switched from Lo Loestrin Fe to Blisovi 24 Fe about a year ago, and thank goodness I did. In the short time I was on Lo Loestrin Fe, I had mood swings, exhaustion, depression, and I just didn’t feel like myself. When I switched to Blisovi 24 Fe, all of those emotional problems went away, and I feel like myself again. Also, my periods are a ton lighter than before, I used to have about 6-day periods with heavy cramping, and now I have light periods with no cramping that only last about 2 days. I haven’t had any issues with acne. I have gained about 10 pounds in the year that I’ve been on the pill, so that would be my only complaint. Overall, I feel healthy on this BC."

For Birth Control "This has been the worst BC I've been on, mood swings, cramps, terrible headaches, it is a total downer. I've really noticed that I've been less engaged in communication and tired. I've been on it for about 6 months, and it's 6 months too long."

For Birth Control "I do not recommend this at all! I switched off of Kelnor to Blisovi because I was having long, heavy periods. I would gladly take the periods back over this. Now I have horrible acne on my shoulders, back, and chin (which I've never had), constant breast pain, occasional random cramping, I bled the entire first month, and I never have any energy! In the months prior to Blisovi, I had worked so hard to lose around 10-12 lbs... 6 weeks into Blisovi and I've gained 8 lbs of it back. I never wake up feeling like myself. I would definitely recommend Kelnor or Gildess over this one."

For Birth Control "Was on Junel Fe, and it worked according to my needs, which was to have a lighter, more manageable period or no period at all. After taking Junel for a year, all was well. Upon my renewal, I went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription, to be told that Junel Fe had been recalled or discontinued, but Blisovi was the same medication. It is not! Where my cycle had been light to non-existent, never experienced cramping even before being on birth control, I have now been on Blisovi since the end of October 2016, and my cycle has gone haywire! Sudden unexpected menstruation, including severe cramping, is not the answer! Had me over here thinking about getting on Depo, but I feel that is not the answer either. I am contacting my doctor immediately!"

For Birth Control "I was prescribed this as my regular birth control (Meliane) was not available here. I completed my first month on Blisovi, and it has been horrible. It made me very irritable and paranoid (I'm usually laid back to indifferent), and it has killed all sex drive I had. I've had more than usual hair loss with dry skin and scalp. It also caused vaginal dryness for me and made sex uncomfortable. I've had bad constipation despite upping my intake of fiber to counter things, and when it was time for my period, I didn't bleed but had severe cramps and backaches-basically all my PMS symptoms without bleeding, which made me worried about being pregnant (I checked and am not). The good thing is that it is completely covered by my insurance."

For Birth Control "I have switched to this medication because they discontinued Micronor, which was perfect for me. When I started taking Blisovi, I had headaches, and any birth control for me never makes cramps go away except for Micronor. So I still had cramps. A little bit of weight gain. I was super emotional and moody. Regular 5- to 6-day periods. After taking these pills for about 4 months, the side effects got better. I barely get headaches. My period is lighter than it has ever been, 1 to 3 days. The only time I'm emotional is on my placebo week. And I am not pregnant. :) Overall, it's a tolerable pill."

For Birth Control "I started Blisovi 24 Fe birth control 4 months ago. At first, everything seemed okay, but these last 2 months have been horrible. I am 30 years old and I have NEVER had any issues with acne. Now I'm constantly finding new bumps popping up around my chin and forehead. The last 8 or so days left in my pack, I feel like complete crap. My stomach constantly cramps, I feel constipated, I feel nauseous, I have headaches, I feel tired, and I'm constantly hungry. I'm bloated all of the time. My doctor has now changed me to Junel... hoping for better luck."

For Birth Control "I have been on various forms of birth control for 16 years and have never had an issue with any of them. I was put on Blisovi because Gildess was recalled. It was a literal nightmare! I was irritable, exhausted, and I hate to use the word but crazy! My breasts were huge, swollen, and sore, and I had horrible periods. I stayed on it for 4 months because I thought I would adjust, but it just got worse. I am now on Junel, and all is back to normal. DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL!"

For Birth Control "I was switched to this medication because every year I tend to 'outgrow' a medication and get non-stop periods. But this one was by far the worst out of the 10 I've ever been on over the past 10 years. I got acne so severe that I had to go on Accutane, and at age 28, that's really embarrassing, and my face is still covered in scars. I never had acne before this medication. Also, the cramping all month never went away, constant spotting, etc. Mood swings, bloating, crazy weight gain. And anxiety and migraines like you couldn't believe. I wouldn't give this medication to my worst enemy."

For Birth Control "So after being on this pill for a year and a half, I see all of these horrible comments about it, but honestly, I think it’s amazing. Acne was gone, periods were lighter and less painful (mind you, I had severe cramps that made it impossible to move, I’m sure lots of females know exactly what I mean), and it fixed all of these problems for me."

For Birth Control "I'm on continuous BC, and my pharmacy switched me to this in mid-December after I had been on Microgestin for years. I've gained 15 lbs (I'm relatively active and had not changed my diet), have acne (I'm 49 and have never had an acne problem), I've had to deal with spotting off and on - sometimes almost two full weeks of heavy spotting - and some of the worst cramps I've ever had. This is the worst! I have a doctor's appointment this week and am hoping they'll change it. Otherwise, I'll be stopping this pill immediately and just deal with having a regular irregular period!"

For Birth Control "I went on the pill because my periods were lasting 20-25 days with a 6-day break with no period. I have cystic acne and I had the perfect skin routine, so I knew it had to be hormonal issues. The doctor said it would take three months to regulate, so I waited. Within the FIRST week, my depression was through the roof, my anxiety made me scratch my head and bite my nails 24/7, and it was just not a fun time. My breasts were so swollen up in the morning, and I CRIED EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR NO REASON. At this point, I didn’t think a pill could do this, and I almost asked to go to the hospital. I thought I was going crazy. I took the pill, and after 4 months, I was seeing that my mood started regulating again and my skin WAS SO CLEAR. Girl, I swear I thought I went on accutane, it was so clear. My periods NEVER regulated and... LISTEN TO ME, MY CRAMPS GOT WORSE. I never cancel plans, but I couldn’t even get out of bed, I almost threw up because of the pain. So therefore, I will no longer be taking those meds."

For Birth Control "Awful! Took Microgestin for years. Pharmacy gave me this Blisovi because they were out of Microgestin and assured me this was 'the same thing.' No way! Took it for 6 weeks - cramps, spotting, nauseous, headaches, gained 5 lbs (and I hardly ate because I had no appetite!), broke out all over my chin/neck area, had my period for 10 days! Ugh. Never again."

For Birth Control "I took this pill after switching off Lo Loestrin Fe for cost reasons, and I regret it. I'm much more moody and anxious all the time, and I have severe cramps on this pill, while I had none on Lo Loestrin. I'm switching to a new pill, but I wish I would have realized these and other bad side effects were caused by the Blisovi sooner, so I didn't have to suffer for so long!"

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control ever. I had been on Gildess for years. Pharmacy switched me to Junel, which I had been on for a year with no change from the Gildess. Pharmacy gave me Blisovi this time, and I have been MISERABLE ever since. Terrible headaches, I can't even describe how bloated I am. I am probably two pants sizes larger in just a week of taking it. The worst part... I cannot have a bowel movement. I haven't had one since the day I started it, and I haven't had one in a week. Also have bad cramps on and off, and spotting. The pharmacy agreed to reverse the claim with my insurance company and switch me back to Junel, but they have to order it. I will be stopping this pill until I can get Junel. I can't eat because I feel like I am 100% full of... you know what."
