For Birth Control "Before taking this, I was taking Tri-Sprintec for a little under a year just to help with regulating my period and cramps. I mentioned to my doctor that on that pill I still had a heavy period and cramps, and I was taking Midol still. She agreed that it shouldn’t be like that on birth control, so she was going to switch me to a monophasic pill, Junel. The pharmacy gave me Blisovi 1/20, I guess due to insurance reasons, so I began taking it Jan. 1st, 2018. I’m going onto my third month with this pill, and I get my period every two weeks, and it goes back and forth to either lasting 9 days or 4 days. I have never EVER had such an irregular period in my life. And if that doesn't seem bad enough, I would rate the pain an 8 on a scale of 1-10 for cramps, which I get whenever these annoying periods begin. A lot of random cravings too for food and EXTREME bloating. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BCP!!"

For Birth Control "I have a very mild case of PCOS, so my gyno was practically begging me to begin a birth control. That being said, I have always had very negative experiences with birth control pills and hadn’t used one in years because of that. But I thought, maybe my body has changed. STICK WITH YOUR INSTINCTS, PEOPLE! I immediately began the consistent spotting, cramping, had painful gas and bloating, and my breasts were so swollen they felt like I was breastfeeding. The acne began around week 3, what seemed completely out of nowhere, and I was covered in it. I didn’t suffer insomnia, but the moodiness and sensitivity definitely increased, as well as vaginal dryness (I am 23 and NEVER had that problem before). After the acne began, I couldn’t take it anymore, it didn’t seem worth it to put my body through it. I stopped taking the pill almost through an entire pack, and I woke up in the middle of the night after 2 days of stopping it, bleeding so much. What is this pill?!?"

For Birth Control "I was on Gildess, and it was good for the most part (experienced extremely large breasts, and they are already too big to begin with!), and then the pharmacy switched to Blisovi, and it made everything worse! Even larger breasts, extreme tenderness, and so much cramping and pain! Seriously, it's like I'm not even on a pill when Aunt Flo comes around. I can't wait to switch this pill! But it does prevent pregnancy (I'm hoping), so I'm giving it 3 stars."

For Birth Control "I was originally prescribed something else, then I somehow got switched to Guildess Fe, which wasn't too bad. I was getting headaches every day with those. Now, the insurance sent me Blisovi Fe. Since I have been taking the Blisovi, my period has increased in length, cramps in intensity, and heaviness in bleeding, including clots. I'm hungry almost all the time, and my bra no longer fits completely (size D, before the pill). The only thing this pill is effective in is keeping you from getting pregnant. I had a scare, and I did not get pregnant. But I never missed a pill and took it at the same time every day, which I was told makes it more effective. I am switching to an IUD soon because I cannot keep taking different BC brands without warning."

For Birth Control "I have been taking this Blisovi 24 Fe pill for around 8 months now, and before this, I was around 115 pounds. Since then, I have gained over 20 pounds and am around 137 now. I cannot fit in a lot of my clothes anymore and have always had a fast metabolism, but this is the most weight I have gained in my whole life in such a short time. I got on it to try and help with my periods and, of course, not get pregnant. At first, it kind of helped make my periods lighter, but recently I was on my period for almost 2 weeks, and it was heavy every day. I had severe cramping, and no painkillers really helped me. I have since stopped this pill for about a week now to try and get back to how I was before and have lost like 3 pounds already. I DO NOT recommend this pill unless maybe you are really underweight, maybe. But still, the side effects are awful."

For Birth Control "Okay, ladies, do NOT use this birth control. I’m currently still on Blisovi 24 Fe, and I hate it!! It has made me depressed, break out, gain weight, have an irregular period, and have an extremely low sex drive. The only upside is that it has made my periods shorter. I began this birth control because my cramps were horrible, and my periods were heavy and lasted 8 days, it hasn’t helped with anything besides shortening it. I had a 3-day period a few days ago, and I’ve been off for a couple days now, and I’m already cramping again!!! There are so many better options."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control since May 2021, and I have no complaints about it. I used to have bad cramps and heavy bleeding, but now all that pain has gone away. I feel like everyone's body is different. I was on Depo, Loestrin Fe, and Beyaz, they all were horrible. I hated it so much that I was depressed, sad, and angry. It made me feel not like myself. This birth control is great, but I want to take a break soon from birth control in general because I want to give my body a break. But I haven’t gained extreme weight, my face is clear as ever, and it works perfectly for my body. I highly recommend it."

For Birth Control "Less than a year ago, I switched my prescription from a ShopRite pharmacy to a CVS pharmacy for multiple reasons. Once I picked up my prescription from CVS, it was this completely different brand than I had been using (I was on Larin 1/20 Fe, and they switched it to Blisovi 24 Fe). I simply informed my doctor to send the prescription to another pharmacy, and CVS changed it out for another generic, probably based on cost/insurance. Over the past 6 months, I’ve noticed increasing pain with sex, decreasing sex drive, and I cannot lose weight no matter what I do. I’m not gaining anything, which has happened on other brands of the same drug, so that’s good I guess. Similar to others’ experiences with this drug, I’ve had bad period cramps and backaches, but little to no blood. On the other drugs I’ve been on, I’ve had absolutely no cramps or blood or anything, which was amazing. This pill sucks!"

"The only reason that I gave it a 1 is because you cannot give it a 0. I do not recommend this BC. After 3 days of taking the medication, I experienced cramping and an increase in body temperature. It resolved a week in. However, I gained a total of 15 lbs over a two-month span due to this medication. I run 3 miles every day and do a total body workout 3x a week, and my weight still increased, and no matter what workout I did, it would not go away. In addition, I experienced high anxiety and a depressed mood to the point that my family started to notice and expressed concerns. I thought that maybe it was due to a high level of stress in my work life; however, I am a normally healthy and happy 24-year-old, and something was not right. Also, my breasts became so tender to the point that it hurt to sleep on my side, and I experienced hot flashes throughout the day and at night. This medicine is TERRIBLE, and DO NOT TAKE IT."

For Birth Control "Blisovi 24 is the first and only birth control I've tried. I'm 3 months in and so far, so good. I experienced severe nausea the first day, but it quickly subsided within 24 hours. I had to wait 2 months for my PMS symptoms to improve, but boy did it. No more cramps, bloating, or nausea. In terms of acne, I had a pretty bad flare-up, particularly for the first month. Like 'no space on my face that didn't have a pimple' kind of flare-up. By 3 months, my skin is back to baseline and has a healthy glow to it. I'm hopeful that it'll help clear up my acne over time."

For Birth Control "So I started taking this BC when Gildess got discontinued. Up until that point, I had absolutely no problems for the almost 2 years I was taking Gildess. After switching to Blisovi, though, I've had slightly more cramping, tender breasts, and gained about 15 pounds. I've been the same weight for 5 years, and all of a sudden, I've gained all this weight. I'm just now connecting it to the BC after reading reviews of the same thing happening to others. My periods are very light and last no more than 3 days. Overall, not happy with this BC."

For Birth Control "If I could give a 0, I would. Asian female, 24 years of age. This is my first time taking this brand. Doctor prescribed these for ovarian cysts and irregular and painful periods. The first week; I noticed acne on my face, which was unfortunate because my skin is always clear prior to these pills. Second week; tiredness, bloating, and constipation. Third week; I have constant mild abdominal cramps. I started having hot flashes/waves during the day. I have trouble sleeping solidly at night and would get up to pee at least once a night. My throat started hurting. Fourth week, I wake up in a pool of sweat, even though the house is at 67 degrees! I’d pull out clumps of hair in the shower. I’m worried that it’s causing me more harm than it’s doing good. I’m stopping these today. WORST PILLS EVER. DO NOT TAKE THESE! Seriously, do yourself a favor and ask for something else."

For Birth Control "I was switched to Blisovi when my doctor increased my dosage after 6 years on Reclipsen. After 2 months, I am still having headaches, extreme breast pain, back pain, random spotting (usually 2 weeks before my period is supposed to happen). I have never missed a period in 16 years and didn't have one once I started this pill, but have spotted and had cramps and breast pain throughout the pack. The side effects are terrible. I'm active and eat healthy, but still have constant bloating, breast discomfort, and I'm exhausted. Trying to get on a new pill as soon as possible. I won't give this another month."

For Birth Control "I have been on Blisovi for over a year, and just recently I have decided to switch. This was my first BC, so I had no clue what to expect, so when I spotted nearly every month, I thought it was normal. After talking with my doctor, she told me it was obviously not, but to give it more time. It never stopped, and I have basically had two periods every month for the duration of me taking it (and I take it at the same time every day). As well as spotting, I have terrible mood swings, bad cramps, bloating, and my anxiety has increased. The only positives I have about this BC are that I have no acne, and I have not experienced any weight gain."

For Birth Control "I was put on this birth control about a month ago. I know everyone has different experiences, but here is mine: At first, I really liked the birth control and did not notice anything different. About a week in, my acne started becoming terrible, my breasts became sore to the touch, and I was nauseous before every meal. About two weeks later, my anxiety went downhill. Panic attacks every night, constant worrying, not wanting to go anywhere because of the fear. I have a diagnosed anxiety disorder. I’m not sure, but that might be why the birth control did not work for me. My anxiety has been terrible recently, and I hope it stops once I get off this pill. I do not suggest this pill if you suffer from anxiety/depression, etc. This pill may be amazing for some, but not for me. I also got heavy periods with cramps. The only good thing about this pill is that my breasts got bigger!!"

For Birth Control "I've used this pill for 4 months and now I'm switching because of insurance. I felt like a whole different person on this. I would have all these mood swings for no reason. I became very depressed and was very sad all the time. But this stuff works wonders. I did have some spotting in the first month, but I had mild cramps instead of the usual severe ones. My face looks so clear and healthy. So basically, it helped me physically but not mentally."

For Birth Control "My experience was terrible, the first 3 months were the worst. Nosebleeds with blood clots, vomiting, constant terrible nausea. Couldn't sleep because of all of the above and waves of heat. I figured it was just me and was to be expected from the “adjusting period” as this was my first time on BC. But it continued for months, the nosebleeds ended and so did the vomiting, but the terrible nausea stayed and so did the heat waves. It did start to regulate my period for a few months, but after a few, I started to get terrible cramps again and two periods in each month. They are now even more irregular than before I began BC. I only learned today that other people have had terrible experiences with this too, I figured it was just me. I would DEFINITELY not recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "I was on Balziva for the past year, but my new insurance won't cover it, so my doctor prescribed Blisovi. I am on the first week of my second pack. I got my period with heavy bleeding on the second week of my first pack, then continued to have cramps until the fourth week. I had spotting when I was supposed to have my period according to the pack. At the beginning of each pack so far, I've experienced horrible nausea. I thought it was my body adjusting to new medication, but after reading these reviews, I may need to take these symptoms up with my doctor."

For Birth Control "This pill was very effective for me, but there were positives and negatives with taking it. The pros were that I hadn’t gained any weight, no nausea, no headaches, and my acne cleared up right away. The cons were that I had a full period for the second week of pills, plus 3 days when I should’ve had it. I would cramp a lot as well. It was also causing me to have insomnia most nights. After I continued bleeding for those weeks, I stopped taking it, but other than that, I had no major side effects."

For Birth Control "I have been on this for three months now. I had headaches the first two weeks, but those went away. Made me break out at first, but cleared up after just over two months. I did notice mood swings which have progressively gotten worse, and I have said and done things that I would not normally say or do. However, it is manageable. My confidence has plummeted and I have gained 12 pounds. My appetite has definitely increased. I am very active and have always been lean and able to eat whatever I want, but even with dieting and rigorous exercise, I can’t seem to lose any of the weight I’ve gained. My experience hasn’t been terrible, and most of the adverse side effects are easy to live with (other than my insatiable appetite!). My skin is slightly clearer, but much larger, and periods are shorter and lighter, although PMS and cramping aren’t any better."

For Birth Control "Positives: 1. Regulates my period VERY well. Always happens the middle of the last week of the pack until the end of the pack (about 4 days). 2. Lighter periods. 3. Not pregnant. Negatives: 1. REALLY nauseous the day after taking the first pill in every pack. Like, super duper nauseous for about the first 8 hours of the day. Feels horrible. 2. Constant yeast infections. I have had 4 in the past 4 months because of the estrogen in this BC. Might happen on any estrogen BC, but be aware. 3. Debilitating calf cramps at night. Super painful and last about 5 minutes, they wake me up every time. 4. Jumping at every little noise. Been on this for 4 months, appointment tomorrow with gyno to switch."

For Birth Control "Took this birth control for 2 months. Gave me headaches, constant cramps, and nausea, which I understand is somewhat common for the adjustment period, however, the anxiety I experienced while taking this was UNBEARABLE. An actual living nightmare. I was having a full-blown panic attack every single day, if not more than one, to the point where I was actually sleeping at my parents' house every night because my level of functioning/mental stability was so low. Also, it somehow managed to make my period worse than it already was. Do not recommend."

For Birth Control "I've been on Blisovi 24 Fe for almost a year. The entire time I’ve had an ongoing yeast infection that won’t go away. My anxiety has skyrocketed while my libido has greatly decreased. I’ve had extreme dryness and more migraines on the pill than I’ve ever had in my life. I never used to have bad cramps when getting periods, but now I get cramps so bad I can hardly move, and I have to keep a heating pad on my lower back just to be able to stand it. I’ve been super depressed, and it’s given me more acne. I haven’t gotten pregnant, so it’s doing its job, but I can’t wait to change."

For Birth Control "DON’T DO IT. I read the reviews here, and I thought, well, everybody is different, so I started taking it. I started spotting a week into it and cramping. Not only that, but I went CRAZY. I was mad all the time for no reason, and I would snap for everything. I started randomly getting sad to the point that I was depressed. I wasn’t myself. Don’t do it. Don’t be like me a month later regretting not listening to these reviews."
