For Birth Control "So happy I read these reviews! I was switched onto Blisovi after my beloved Gildess went out of production. Within the first few months, I noticed a massive weight gain (15-20 pounds) that has been impossible to get off with diet and exercise. My anxiety has been through the roof, I bloat the second I so much as look at salt, sleep is on and off, my breasts can get extremely tender, and I no longer get my period at all but experience god-awful cramping and random spotting. I also have a thyroid condition (borderline Hashimoto's), and this has mucked up my head and my mood/depression like crazy. Some days, it's impossible to get out of bed, and my energy is gone by 2 pm. I'm in my first year of marriage, and I've been a miserable fat wench thanks to Blisovi."

For Birth Control "If I could give this pill 0, I would. It is horrible. I started my second pack on Sunday, but I stopped yesterday. I do not care that that probably is not the way to stop BC, but I couldn't take it anymore. I've gained around 15 lbs (I was on Junel before, which made me a little bloated), but this, this stupid pill is making me so, so, so bloated it's not even worth it. Same symptoms as everyone in these reviews I was reading. It's crazy, but I had all of the things you are all describing and never thought it could be the pill. I work out 5 to 6 times a week religiously, I eat super healthy, and I'm still gaining weight. Not to mention I was tired all the time, and I'm normally very active and awake. Also, no period. At all. Not good."

For Birth Control "I have taken Lomedia for years and have absolutely loved it. When I went to my pharmacy a week ago to pick up my prescription, they told me that Lomedia had been suddenly discontinued, and so they had given me Blisovi. She explained that it's supposed to be made by the same company as Lomedia and is supposed to be the exact same ingredients. That cannot be true. I have had no issues with my periods for years, and now I am bleeding heavily, am very bloated, and my face is suddenly breaking out. I do not believe it's the same pill, something is different. I do not recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "This is awful! Never felt this bad! Bloating, mood swings, boobs hurt, feel fat all the time, and I don't know how long I'm gonna have my period! I don't think it's gonna ever end, and sex is completely out of the question! I feel like a crazy person! Mad at the world and can't stand myself! I'm only on my first week, second month in!"

For Birth Control "I never leave comments, but this I need to with Blisovi 24 Fe. I’ve been on this for a month, and I have to stop it. This is the only birth control I’ve ever been on, and quite frankly, I never want to take it again. I took it for heavy bleeding, and it made my period last for 2 weeks with still constant spotting. Five-pound weight gain, constantly bloated like every day. It has made me beyond emotional and anxious too. I’ve been crying over the silliest things, and I don’t feel like myself at all. I will never take this again."

For Birth Control "I've been taking it for about 2 months now. The first month was terrible only because of my body adjusting to the new hormone levels. I had breakthrough bleeding for two weeks, my breasts were so sore the entire month, and I had cramps/back pains almost every day. My period was a breeze, though. No cramps, no breast pain, very light flow, and no acne! My second month has been amazing. It's helped control mood swings and the sense of anxiety and depression I get when serotonin levels drop around my period. The only thing I have to complain about is the sense of bloating I have. It goes away, though, when I avoid all of the salty foods and processed sugars I crave. Other than that, I really enjoy this product. Everyone's bodies are different."

For Birth Control "I have PCOS. I thought I was the only one experiencing issues with this pill. Since Lomedia was discontinued, I've been using this, and it's absolutely horrible. The first 2 months I used it, it was great. My PCOS is very difficult to deal with, seeing how I'm always on my menstrual and w/o birth control, it will not stop, so technically I rely on this for regularity in my life, but it's been causing havoc. My menstrual comes every other week, I'm always bloated, my mood swings are unbearable, that my friendships and relationships are being affected by it. My work performance is horrible as well, seeing how I'm always tired and irritable, and my sex life, forget about it. I get turned off when, with just a touch on my wrist, this PILL is a NO."

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control pill for the last 6 months, and I am completely miserable. It was originally prescribed as a generic for Loloestrin, but that simply cannot be the case. I have been chronically bloated, emotional, spotting, on top of which I am also experiencing a regular to heavy period. When I was on Lolo, I had no negative side effects, and it effectively minimized my monthly period. Ultimately, I feel really misinformed by the PA who prescribed this as a generic."

For Birth Control "I was on a different birth control but switched because I didn't like how bloated I felt. I have been on this pill for about a year and just recently started tying two and two together. I've never really had bad acne in my life, and this pill has caused me to have severe breakouts around my chin and mouth, and I'm talking like several huge whiteheads at once. I am always bloated and eat a plant-based diet. I'm going off this pill starting today. I'd rather just not have sex and avoid getting pregnant that way if it's going to make my skin this bad and make me hate my self-image."

For Birth Control "I was on Lo Lo Estrin FE for many years and began having irregular periods for quite some time, so I was given Blisovi as a replacement. Two months in, I still feel pretty bloated and my mood swings are crazy. One minute, I'm fine, the next, someone is in the line of fire. I feel much more sluggish, a bit less motivated, and my fuse has been so short I can barely tolerate anyone's company. I have been experiencing a pretty low sex drive. I can't stand this pill anymore. I've been told I am more 'touchy' to things, seem more irritable (even my therapist told me he's noticed my irritability increased). I know not everyone's experience will be the same, and I am sure someone may have a great experience... unfortunately, mine was not."

For Birth Control "I was on this birth control pill for 10-11 months. It caused me to have periods during week 2 of the pills, vaginal dryness, a lot of hair loss and breakage, really bad embarrassing acne, weight gain, bloating, constant infections, PMS symptoms, etc. I kept going to my OBGYN thinking I had cancer or something was broken. She told me to keep taking them. No way. I quit taking them 2 weeks ago, and I feel better already. I'm just afraid it might have done some fertility damage. Time to find a new OBGYN and stay off of birth control pills because the side effects aren't worth it! Just will track my ovulation and avoid sex on those days. It's sad OBGYNs tell you to stay on pills with all these negative side effects, they don't truly care."

For Birth Control "I started Blisovi 24 Fe birth control 4 months ago. At first, everything seemed okay, but these last 2 months have been horrible. I am 30 years old and I have NEVER had any issues with acne. Now I'm constantly finding new bumps popping up around my chin and forehead. The last 8 or so days left in my pack, I feel like complete crap. My stomach constantly cramps, I feel constipated, I feel nauseous, I have headaches, I feel tired, and I'm constantly hungry. I'm bloated all of the time. My doctor has now changed me to Junel... hoping for better luck."

For Birth Control "I started taking Blisovi 4 years ago. It was not until I discovered this page of reviews that I realized things that I thought were just wrong with me (high anxiety, fatigue, feelings of emptiness, pain during intercourse, bloating, hair falling out, etc.) were actually birth control side effects. I am stopping this pill now and getting an IUD instead."

For Birth Control "This stuff is the worst. I have ovarian cysts, so this is what my gyno recommended. I have been on it for 8 months or so and had spotting between periods for several months, and now I haven’t had a period in 3 months. Sounds great, right? Not so much. I am constantly bloated and uncomfortable. My depression, insomnia, and anxiety are worse than ever, as well as my acne. I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy."

For Birth Control "I was switched to this medication because every year I tend to 'outgrow' a medication and get non-stop periods. But this one was by far the worst out of the 10 I've ever been on over the past 10 years. I got acne so severe that I had to go on Accutane, and at age 28, that's really embarrassing, and my face is still covered in scars. I never had acne before this medication. Also, the cramping all month never went away, constant spotting, etc. Mood swings, bloating, crazy weight gain. And anxiety and migraines like you couldn't believe. I wouldn't give this medication to my worst enemy."

For Birth Control "I’ve only been on this medication for a week, but I’m incapacitated by abdominal pain, bloating, vomiting, and diarrhea, and haven’t slept in two nights. I’ve also had really bad headaches and anxiety since I started it. I finally put two and two together and realized this medication was causing all of my symptoms. I’m going back to Taytulla (had to stop due to not having insurance, but my doctor offered 6 months of samples after hearing my reaction to this one). Blisovi is horrible for me. Taytulla caused no side effects, significantly decreased the pain I experience almost daily due to primary adenomyosis and endometriosis, and shortened my periods to one day. Try that one!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Blisovi 24 Fe for about 4 months now, and it’s honestly been fine for me. I’ve read bad reviews and have been scared, but, as with any birth control, you have to be willing to wait out the first few months and let your body adjust to the pill. For me, my periods are light and come on the second brown pill and last maybe 3 days. In the first 2 months, and sometimes now, I do get upset easier, but it’s nothing crazy. This pill keeps my skin clear for the most part, except when I’m taking the brown pills, I do experience some pimples. As far as contraception, it’s been good to me. I do feel like I’m bloated sometimes, but with any pill, your body weight may fluctuate. But I have no serious problems with this pill! Allow your body 3-6 months to adjust before freaking out."

For Birth Control "DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL. This pill did nothing but ruin my cycle for the time I was on it. I basically bled gross brown blood for two months. On top of that, I know that it takes time for birth control to self-regulate, but my body could not handle the amount of stomach issues I had while on this pill. I could not leave the house because of constant diarrhea, the bloating and gas pains were absolutely horrible. My gyno said to stop the pill. However, they did not stop. It has been three months, and I am still experiencing symptoms. The gyno claimed that these pills could have triggered something else. I went to the gastroenterologist, and he said that I have IBS and should get a colonoscopy to make sure no other issues are present. I have never had any stomach issues in my life prior to taking these pills. PLEASE do yourself a favor and opt for a higher-rated birth control, especially if you already have IBS or other stomach issues."

For Birth Control "I was recently switched from Gildess to Microgestin, and Microgestin was awesome! Very few side effects, and my cycle became regular, and cramps mild. I went to fill my prescription last month and was blindsided by this new brand Blisovi 1/20. The pharmacist stated it's the same formula as Microgestin. Yeah, right! Since starting this b/c I've experienced intense headaches/severe sinus problems, vision problems, anxiety, sleep issues, bloating, sore/swollen hands and joints, very tender breasts, and feeling so lethargic. I was actually starting to wonder if it even prevented pregnancy due to the symptoms. I thought it was just the holidays. Just finished the first pack and will never take it again! Do not recommend this pill!!"

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control ever. I had been on Gildess for years. Pharmacy switched me to Junel, which I had been on for a year with no change from the Gildess. Pharmacy gave me Blisovi this time, and I have been MISERABLE ever since. Terrible headaches, I can't even describe how bloated I am. I am probably two pants sizes larger in just a week of taking it. The worst part... I cannot have a bowel movement. I haven't had one since the day I started it, and I haven't had one in a week. Also have bad cramps on and off, and spotting. The pharmacy agreed to reverse the claim with my insurance company and switch me back to Junel, but they have to order it. I will be stopping this pill until I can get Junel. I can't eat because I feel like I am 100% full of... you know what."

For Birth Control "I was originally on a different prescription until I was told my insurance doesn’t cover it and switched to this per the pharmacy. This birth control is horrible, and honestly, after many reviews I’ve read, I’m not sure how this is on the market. My cycle is completely off schedule, bloating, nausea, mood swings, headaches, hot flashes. I would never recommend this, this product is a nightmare!"

For Birth Control "Before taking this, I was taking Tri-Sprintec for a little under a year just to help with regulating my period and cramps. I mentioned to my doctor that on that pill I still had a heavy period and cramps, and I was taking Midol still. She agreed that it shouldn’t be like that on birth control, so she was going to switch me to a monophasic pill, Junel. The pharmacy gave me Blisovi 1/20, I guess due to insurance reasons, so I began taking it Jan. 1st, 2018. I’m going onto my third month with this pill, and I get my period every two weeks, and it goes back and forth to either lasting 9 days or 4 days. I have never EVER had such an irregular period in my life. And if that doesn't seem bad enough, I would rate the pain an 8 on a scale of 1-10 for cramps, which I get whenever these annoying periods begin. A lot of random cravings too for food and EXTREME bloating. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BCP!!"

For Birth Control "I have a very mild case of PCOS, so my gyno was practically begging me to begin a birth control. That being said, I have always had very negative experiences with birth control pills and hadn’t used one in years because of that. But I thought, maybe my body has changed. STICK WITH YOUR INSTINCTS, PEOPLE! I immediately began the consistent spotting, cramping, had painful gas and bloating, and my breasts were so swollen they felt like I was breastfeeding. The acne began around week 3, what seemed completely out of nowhere, and I was covered in it. I didn’t suffer insomnia, but the moodiness and sensitivity definitely increased, as well as vaginal dryness (I am 23 and NEVER had that problem before). After the acne began, I couldn’t take it anymore, it didn’t seem worth it to put my body through it. I stopped taking the pill almost through an entire pack, and I woke up in the middle of the night after 2 days of stopping it, bleeding so much. What is this pill?!?"

For Birth Control "I have been taking birth control for over two years now, a year ago, I had to start taking Blisovi Fe 1/20 because the BC I was on was discontinued. I went to the doctor for my yearly checkup and had gained 10 pounds in a year. I am always bloated. Probably 28 out of the 30/31 days of the month. I have never had problems with my weight and always weighed about 120 lbs. It wasn't until I started taking this that I had problems, and I work out almost every day, never eat fast food, and I've even cut out soda for six months now to see if I have a difference. But nope, I just keep gaining weight. Praying that the new BC I was given helps me get back to normal. I HATE this BC, and I wish I would have read the reviews a lot sooner."

For Birth Control "I used to use Ortho Evra, which is a patch, and that worked great besides leaving a sticky residue on my skin. I then switched to Blisovi for insurance reasons. Big mistake. The second day on it, about 30 minutes after taking it, I was extremely nauseous. I had to leave work and vomited violently once I got home and slept until evening. Since then, the nausea comes and goes, and it's a terrible feeling. It also made me tired and lazy, along with a spike in my anxiety. I literally had an anxiety attack just trying to drive home. I haven't noticed weight gain yet, but I feel bloated and gross. I do not recommend this birth control."
