For Birth Control "I switched from Lo Loestrin Fe to Blisovi 24 Fe about a year ago, and thank goodness I did. In the short time I was on Lo Loestrin Fe, I had mood swings, exhaustion, depression, and I just didn’t feel like myself. When I switched to Blisovi 24 Fe, all of those emotional problems went away, and I feel like myself again. Also, my periods are a ton lighter than before, I used to have about 6-day periods with heavy cramping, and now I have light periods with no cramping that only last about 2 days. I haven’t had any issues with acne. I have gained about 10 pounds in the year that I’ve been on the pill, so that would be my only complaint. Overall, I feel healthy on this BC."

For Birth Control "I took this for a little over a year before stopping it. I was on Minastrin (insurance stopped covering). Got switched to Gildess and was fine until they discontinued it. Then came this horrible monster. The pharmacy ensured me it was the same thing, but I didn't feel this awful on the other two. For months, I wondered why my mood was so awful. I would snap at everything and I would cry for no reason. I started feeling horribly depressed. The one way this pill prevented me from getting pregnant was by completely killing my libido. I started taking it to get my hormonal acne under control, but I think I'd rather deal with the acne than these side effects."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control, Blisovi 24 Fe, for about 4 months, and it works great at regulating my periods. I now have a steady cycle and no cramps or PMS at all, but it literally ruined the last couple of months of my life by affecting my mental health. I've struggled with depression and anxiety before going on the pill, and it was 100x magnified by this birth control. I cry over every little thing and am so depressed and anxious that I can't do my work or go to school. Switching off ASAP."

For Birth Control "I have never left a review on a medication, but I need other women to be warned! I was on this two months, and it was the WORST two months. I gained 13 pounds, my acne flared up like never before, I was constantly nauseous (throwing up almost every day), breakthrough bleeding if you are even 10 minutes late taking the pill, but the absolute worst side effect was how heightened my anxiety and depression became. Panic attacks almost every day, and they were so severe and worse than they have ever been. Crying LITERALLY all the time about everything. Did not have any desire to leave my house, and when I did, I was so anxious it wasn't even worth it. Even if you aren't sure how your body will react to this pill, I would NOT chance it."

For Birth Control "I have been on this for a month and a half. Until reading the reviews, I did not realize why I have been so angry, moody, and depressed. I did not even think about that as a side effect. I have had a period for two weeks, I am so mad. I started the pill to have sex, not to be unable to. I also leave for a cruise in a few days. I am so mad."

For Birth Control "This birth control was terrible! Yes, it protected against pregnancy, but the side effects were awful. I had ridiculous mood swings and became very depressed. I am usually a very happy person, so I knew it had to be this medication."

For Birth Control "I have been taking Blisovi for almost 2 years now. This BC regulated my period, cleared up my acne, and stopped the cramps. However, I had bad nausea and headaches at the start, which the doctor told me would stop as I continued, so I kept taking it. Eventually, the nausea went away, but the headaches didn't. I had terrible backaches. I gained at least 40 lbs since starting. I'm in college, so it's hard to eat healthy/exercise when in school & working, but gaining this much weight this fast is not normal. I was already depressed because of school, but this BC made me mean/irritable, I have lost my motivation, and I feel like a different person. I just stopped taking this pill and switched to a hormonal IUD, so I'll see if anything changes. The negative side effects were too much to bear."

For Birth Control "I started taking Blisovi 4 years ago. It was not until I discovered this page of reviews that I realized things that I thought were just wrong with me (high anxiety, fatigue, feelings of emptiness, pain during intercourse, bloating, hair falling out, etc.) were actually birth control side effects. I am stopping this pill now and getting an IUD instead."

For Birth Control "This stuff is the worst. I have ovarian cysts, so this is what my gyno recommended. I have been on it for 8 months or so and had spotting between periods for several months, and now I haven’t had a period in 3 months. Sounds great, right? Not so much. I am constantly bloated and uncomfortable. My depression, insomnia, and anxiety are worse than ever, as well as my acne. I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy."

For Birth Control "This birth control definitely lightened my period significantly, which was my main reason for getting on birth control. BUT, it made me extremely depressed and heat intolerant, and at 19, I should not be having hot flashes."

For Birth Control "Please do not take this. I have never felt so depressed in my life when I was on this pill. I thought it was just me, but the moment I stopped taking it, I realized it wasn't me at all. I never wanted to leave my room, I slept way too much, and was acting way out of character for me. Everyone in my life was very concerned for me. One of the worst parts was the fact that my hair started falling out as well, which I am still dealing with right now, and I don't know when it will stop. This was the only birth control I have ever tried, and I won't be trying again for a long time."

For Birth Control "I already get occasional cystic acne, typically when I'm about to start my period. This pill made it so much worse. Since I started taking it, my skin has been consistently erupting, my face is puffy and swollen, and on top of that, I've been experiencing depressive symptoms. I already have anxiety, and it's hard to say if it's the pill making it worse or if it's environmental circumstances, but I don't have an external cause for feeling as depressed as I have since I've started taking this pill. I've been on other birth control pills such as Ortho Tri-Cyclen without any of these problems. I do not recommend this pill, and I am so disappointed with my experience taking it."

For Birth Control "I only took this pill for 5 days, and it ranked up there to be the worst five days ever. I started taking this after 9 months of no birth control pill, but my periods and cramps were so bad I decided to go back on the pill. My doctor decided to switch brands because with the last pill I was on, I had a lot of breakthrough bleeding. So I started Blisovi, and within 24 hours, I was moody, irrational, and not feeling like myself. As the week continued, I could not get control of my emotions, crying was constant, and I began to feel very depressed. I called my doctor, and she said to stop taking it immediately. Never again! I felt like I was possessed!"

For Birth Control "I was on this pill for two months, and they were the worst two months of my life. I started feeling extremely bad about myself and depressed and moody. I became irritable and upset over the smallest things. I was eating less and less food and still gaining weight from it. I would not recommend taking this birth control."

For Birth Control "I went on the pill because my periods were lasting 20-25 days with a 6-day break with no period. I have cystic acne and I had the perfect skin routine, so I knew it had to be hormonal issues. The doctor said it would take three months to regulate, so I waited. Within the FIRST week, my depression was through the roof, my anxiety made me scratch my head and bite my nails 24/7, and it was just not a fun time. My breasts were so swollen up in the morning, and I CRIED EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR NO REASON. At this point, I didn’t think a pill could do this, and I almost asked to go to the hospital. I thought I was going crazy. I took the pill, and after 4 months, I was seeing that my mood started regulating again and my skin WAS SO CLEAR. Girl, I swear I thought I went on accutane, it was so clear. My periods NEVER regulated and... LISTEN TO ME, MY CRAMPS GOT WORSE. I never cancel plans, but I couldn’t even get out of bed, I almost threw up because of the pain. So therefore, I will no longer be taking those meds."

For Birth Control "Take this pill, Blisovi 24 Fe, if you want to experience weight gain, acne, depression, unexplainable sadness, and essentially having two periods a month with the amount of spotting that it causes. Please don’t take this brand of birth control."

For Birth Control "I started taking this pill the day my period started on October 22nd, and although my severe cramps are gone, my period has lasted far longer than what is normal for me. I started taking it to get rid of my debilitating painful cramps, but the bleeding is still fairly heavy and it's been like 10 days, almost 2 weeks! As opposed to my regular 4-7 day period with heavy bleeding and cramps that taper out and lessen towards the end, this time it's not even letting up. I have no cramps. Yay! But this is absurd. I'm going through all of my sanitary products, have horrible nausea, my severe depression has worsened, and my anxiety has spiked. I'm better off suffering the pain and heavy bleeding for a little while instead of no cramps but constant bleeding. I will be making an appointment to try something else, I don't recommend this birth control. Reading all of the other reviews, I'm glad to know others have had similar experiences and I'm not totally alone!"

For Birth Control "I'm currently on the first week of my second month, but I am stopping. The third week of my first pack, I ended up throwing up, and I have been nauseous nonstop since starting this pill. It also made me extremely anxious and depressed and exacerbated my pre-existing sleep problems. Definitely calling the Dr on Monday to switch."

For Birth Control "This birth control straight up ruined my life. I would wake up every morning with crippling anxiety/depression, I could not eat, I was constantly nauseous and vomiting. And it took me months to realize the Blisovi 24 was the problem, so by the time I quit taking it, I had already developed a vitamin D deficiency and was extremely low in progesterone, both of which can greatly affect your moods. Seriously, try ANY other birth control before this one. They should not be allowed to sell this stuff."

For Birth Control "I have just started my 4th month of this brand of birth control. I started it particularly for my heavy and extremely painful periods. The very first month on it, I had NO period at all, which freaked me out. I am 24 and have never missed a period in 8 years. Second month I had my period, but extremely light and short, I almost couldn’t count it as a period. Third month a normal period came right on time after the 3rd week as scheduled. It has cleared up my face immensely since I began it, and I have not noticed any weight gain at all. However, as I just started my 4th month on it, I have noticed a very deep “sadness” or “depression,” which is not like me at all! I cry over simple things and generally just feel down. Hoping this goes away, otherwise, the pill works just as it should."

For Birth Control "I am currently on month 4. Pros: no period, no weight gain. Con: back acne (never had acne in my life), anxiety and depression (never really had either), and I am always tired! I know I have been going to bed at like 8:30! Wake up tired, tired throughout the day. UGH. I am done with this."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Blisovi 24 FE for my first usage of birth control pills ever. After reading so many of the negative reviews on here, I was extremely nervous and skeptical about starting the pill. But after three months, I'm happy to report I have not had one negative symptom. My period is four days and extremely light and I have little to no cramping. I have not gained any weight, seen an increase in acne, or felt any anxiety or depression as a result of the pill. The only change I am able to report is my boobs have grown and have been slightly tender as a result, but cannot complain. I am overall extremely pleased with this pill."

For Birth Control "My doctor switched me from Loestrin to this because I was having some pains consistent with ovarian cysts bursting. I was only on Blisovi for about 6 months until I had to switch back to Loestrin! I had constant cramping pain, no sex drive, acne all over my chin, jawline, and mouth, quick weight gain, especially in lower stomach, fatigue, and loss of motivation. Now after 2 weeks back on Loestrin, my acne is gone, cramping is gone, feeling more sexual and awake, haven’t dropped any of the weight I gained but still working on it. Mind you, I was smaller my entire life and gained 20 pounds once on Blisovi, and it really made me feel like I wasn’t myself. If you feel these symptoms, stop taking immediately."
