For Period Pain: I've been experiencing extreme pain from my back, stomach & legs ever since I got my first period at age 11 (I am now 24), I took two mefenamic tablets for the first time today & have not experienced any relief at all. What was extremely unusual is the anger & rage that I've experienced all afternoon after taking these tablets. I have never felt or experienced this before & its completely out of character for me to feel this way. I know for certain it was the effects from these tablets, after reading some of the side effects that you can experience, nervousness & depression being some of them, I would highly recommend not taking them. |

For Period Pain: I've suffered from horrible period cramps my entire life. When I was younger, I would need to be picked up from school and was bed ridden all day. Advil has never helped reduce these cramps, in fact, it made my bleeding heavier. I started taking naproxen after my obgyn recommended it and it really does help to reduce the severity of the cramps. I still get mild cramps the first two days, but I am able to function and perform my daily activities. It works more efficiently if you take it twice a day for a few days leading to your period. For Period Pain: I was prescribed Naproxen 500mg after going through severe post period cramps, I have tried Advil and Tylenol but none of them worked. I must confess, Naproxen does the job for me for the period pain, I am back to school studying. I feel really sleepy tho, I don't know if that's one of the side effects of taking the drug. |

For Period Pain: I have taken mefenamic acid for the past 6 years starting periods when I was 14, this medication used to help me so much and made my periods barely noticeable. now though, they don't even touch the pain I'm in every month.
