For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "Very good on the smaller doses 0.25 then 0.5 mL. Lost 25 kg in 4 months. I started taking 1 mL, and I am suffering from severe stomach pains, dizziness, and vomiting. Will go back to 0.5 mL, where I lost the weight and very little side effects."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "The first month was great, weight loss of 14 lbs. Felt fine. But the 5th week increased injection to 2, the fourth day I had terrible stomach pain, diarrhea, vomiting, got better but still have heartburn, burping, and unable to go to the bathroom. I take omeprazole and Peptic as I have GERD! But has not helped! Tried Pepto-Bismol, doesn’t help!"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking Ozempic .5 for almost a year. .25 for 3 years before that. I had some stomach pains for the first couple of months, but once that cleared up, I have had no side effects. I would suggest that anyone try it whose doctor suggests it. My A1C is 6.4 while I eat a balanced diet but not a diabetic diet. It is easy to use, the needle is very small and doesn't hurt. I lost a little weight when I switched to the .5 dosage."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am pleased with the results so far but I have had some stomach pain. I also suffer from constipation, so my usual daily dosage is a Magnesium 250 mg gel tab. I have now added 2 teaspoons of Benefiber to my diet. It does help to process the food along my upper stomach. The pain is not all that bad for the benefits. I really do not have an appetite like I did before. I have included more protein and salad and seafood into my diet."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This is the first week at the 1mg dose, I lost 8 pounds last week. Before this, I was too scared to get on the scales, but I can feel I have lost significant weight. I have reduced appetite and cravings for sweet things that started almost immediately upon starting the drug. The only side effects I have had were, around week 3, constipation and trapped wind that caused waves of stomach pain for a few days. In the UK, you are supposed to be able to get this on the NHS if your BMI is over a certain level with associated health issues. However, no funding has been provided, so I am paying around £150-200 per month. This is offset by reduced food costs and alcohol costs that make it almost pay for itself."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I was nearly 100 lbs overweight and had Type 2 diabetes when I went to a doctor who specializes in weight loss. He first did several medical tests and then prescribed Ozempic. I also went on a low carb diet of 100 gm a day (not keto). I dropped 30 lbs in 3 months. At 3 ½ months, I had terrible stomach pains that sent me to the hospital. My liver was out of whack. They took me off Ozempic and Atorvastatin. Later I learned from the doctor and internet research that Ozempic does not affect the liver, but Atorvastatin can do that. Even so, I didn't restart the Ozempic, but have lost another 40 lbs so far and my A1C is 5.4. I feel that Ozempic allowed me to retrain my eating habits and I hope to continue this way. So I don't feel you have to stay on Ozempic for life and you won't regain the weight if you learn healthy eating while you are helped by Ozempic. That's my opinion."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started taking the Ozempic injection a week before Christmas and took my second 0.25 dose on Xmas Eve. I've felt slight nausea since taking it and very little desire to eat. My BS levels have been 95% in range ever since and have managed to reduce my long-acting insulin by 20 units. I have lost 6 lbs so far. I was astounded it came off in the first week. The only time I have had bad stomach pains is when I've eaten something bad, and I get terrible runs 20 mins after eating, but once I've been to the loo, pain stops. I had vomiting once because I think I overate a few days after taking it. I was super bloated, and a few hours later I threw up, then I felt fine again. So I just eat little and often, mostly grazing and picking at fruit. I was worried about taking this because of the comments I've read, and with having IBS, I didn't know if it would be bad for me. But I have no issues taking it, and so far, so good. It's still early days for me, but I would 100% recommend it."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Have been on Ozempic for 3 months. Minimal side effects. With a diet change (no more chips, booze, and candy) and exercise, I was able to reduce my A1C from 11 to 5.8. I lost 70 pounds. Ever since Ozempic, I find it keeps my sugar consistent at 110 or under, even on cheat days. Mild stomach pain. It has reduced my hunger as others commented. While I am responsible for much of weight loss, the Ozempic had a strong role in it as well."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started on Ozempic in January this year. I have been type 2 diabetic for over 15 years. I was on metformin but found my A1C increasing, so it was recommended that I try this. I have had no problems with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or stomach pains, etc. that others have had. I have lost 26 lbs and am using 1 ml per week. I started with the .25, after two weeks increased to .5, and then after 4 weeks increased to 1 ml. My daily blood test has decreased down from around 10-11 to 4.5-6, and my A1C reduced down from 11 to 8, that was 2 months ago. I will redo next month. I truly think it will be down under 7 when I do it. For me, it is the miracle drug, I feel so much better, and with the weight loss, I feel less tired. I am sure it does not work for everyone, but for those it does, it is a very good product. I did have to get approval through my endocrinologist for my drug plan to cover this. Those without a drug plan would be well advised to think carefully as it is very expensive."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started taking this Ozempic 0.25 dose injection for my first week. On 04/17/19, I have lost a total of 4.5 pounds so far. I am on my second week of Ozempic. The first week I didn’t have stomach pain, headache, or any side effects. But I notice that my appetite had a big change. I am not hungry all day. I am eating small meals now. I have been drinking more water than normal, but after reading all the reviews, I was really scared too. I wasn’t sure if this was going to be the right medicine for me. But it works!!! No side effects yet!"

Semaglutide "I am on my 3rd week of the maintenance dose now and have hit a plateau. I've had no problems with us, though I will say that I've questioned if I've gotten the dose because the needle is so small you can't feel the injection, which, I guess, is actually a benefit. I've lost 21 lbs up until now. I've experienced horrid nausea and stomach pain. My appetite is definitely decreased - I only take a few bites of a meal and am completely full. I've many various health issues that keep me from traditional exercise, and I have just had knee surgery, so I am hoping to add an exercise routine in the coming weeks."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Ozempic has reduced my blood sugar levels, and I have lost weight. At first, I experienced stomach pain and gastrointestinal issues frequently. It’s been about three months, and those symptoms only come from eating the wrong foods now. I am tired, have some anxiety, but my biggest issue is at night with my legs. They have been extremely jumpy, uncomfortable, and sometimes painful. It is letting up a bit over time. I am hoping to lose enough weight to help reduce, if not eliminate, my diabetes medication. I have stopped taking Actos but am still on Metformin along with Ozempic. I am on the highest dosage of Ozempic at 2 mg."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am in my sixth week of Wegovy (4 weeks at 0.25 and now 2 at 0.5). I am a male in my early 50s, 5'9'' with a lot of weight to lose — about 120 pounds. In the first month, I experienced no side effects apart from reduced appetite and lost 10 pounds. I had just begun dieting when I started — nothing extreme, just eliminating the worst offenders: sugar, not eating after 6pm, and portion control. I have already lost 6 pounds this month. I have experienced some mild nausea this month on the 0.5 dose, nothing close to vomiting but definitely present, especially the two days after injection. Haven't had negative reactions to specific types of food like others have had until yesterday. Had some Korean BBQ and was burping garlic all night with some intestinal discomfort - so I guess that's a no go. I am considering holding at this dose before going up again. As long as the weight loss is happening at this rate, I am not keen to risk greater side effects."

Semaglutide for Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I've been on Ozempic for 4 months. My doctor tiered the dosage from 0.25 mg for 4 weeks, then 0.50 mg for 4 weeks, then increased to 1 mg for the remaining time. I've just gone in for a check-up and increased to the 2 mg dose beginning this week. Each dose, I experienced some stomach knots, but they resolved after the first day of the adjustment. I did initially have some very mild nausea, but all I needed to do was take a sip of cold water to take care of it. I stress, the nausea was very, very mild. I do have a bit of constipation, but I balance with stool softeners and strict keto (high fat). I've lost 21 pounds to this point, and this medication is the first thing that's controlled my appetite. I used to feel hungry all the time, but now I don't feel like I need to eat all the time. I don't snack all the time like I used to. I was doing everything I was supposed to, I was working out and strict keto. But I was stuck and couldn't lose any more weight. I've gone from 203 to 181."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Halfway through the 1.7mg dose. Been on for about 4.5 months. Have lost a total of 35 pounds. My weight loss has slowed down since on the 1.7 dose. Still losing but not as quickly as in the beginning. Have no real interest in food anymore. Sometimes have to eat when not hungry due to low blood sugar (had this prior to Wegovy use). Been trying to lose weight for months. Wegovy is the only thing to work for my obesity due to medical issues. Have noticed off and on fatigue, dizziness, constipation, stomach pain, gas, belching, and hair loss. Can no longer eat fried, greasy food without feeling sick, which is good. Now I want healthy food instead."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "At first, I was disappointed with how it was working. I had side effects: heartburn, constipation, some stomach pain. My glucose levels weren’t dropping at .25 or .50 doses. It wasn’t until I was on the full dose for three weeks that things were improving. Blood sugar is down, and I look forward to weight loss. I don’t have much to lose, so I am actually more interested in the glucose levels. Don’t give up on this drug until you are on the full dose for at least three months. That was my pharmacist’s recommendation. I am Canadian, so the cost of the medication is minimal."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Began on 0.25 in May 2021. At first, zero side effects, no appetite at all and glucose plummeting. Went up to 0.50 in July. After 3 weeks, I had 2 days of severe stomach pain, vomiting (which I never do), and weakness. Was supposed to take an injection that day, but I did not. The next day, went back to 0.25 and so far so good. Outside of mild constipation (I don't eat much), I have to say the drug is a great one. I may change my mind if I start feeling pain every week, but so far so good. I see my MD next month and will ask him if I should go back up to 0.50."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I began taking this drug in late August 2020. It was prescribed to me by an endocrinologist to address significant weight gain over the prior two years (partially thanks to anxiety medication). The weight gain had pushed me into prediabetes, which was scary. After four and a half months, I've lost 20 lbs through reduced appetite (no real exercise). I have also seen my blood sugar levels drop. There have been occasional side effects: constipation, stomach pain, nausea. However, I have consulted my doctor, and her suggestions to manage these issues have generally helped."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I don't have Type 2 diabetes, but over the past two years or so, I gained 40-50 lbs from Lexapro to manage my anxiety. That pushed me into the pre-diabetic range, weighing 227 lbs. I recently returned to my doctor, and she switched me to Effexor. In addition, I was referred to an endocrinologist to help me figure out how to tackle the weight gain. The endocrinologist started me on 3 mg of Rybelsus. At the 14-day mark, I had lost 2-3 lbs and felt that the 3 mg was powerful enough to decrease my appetite without making me too nauseous. Because of that, the endocrinologist decided to keep me on 3 mg for a second month. Next week I will reach 60 days on 3 mg of Rybelsus, and I have already lost 10 lbs. I'm starting to see my appetite increase slightly, so I'm going to ask if I can move up to the 7 mg dosage. This drug makes it very difficult for me to overeat - I feel full very quickly, and if I try to eat something closer to my usual amount, I end up with genuine stomach pain."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "My provider prescribed Ozempic for my type 2 diabetes and high A1C. I ended up losing 30 pounds, and my A1C dropped dramatically, along with my blood pressure and very high triglycerides. I feel so much better in general. Ozempic has been life-changing for me. I do not worry about the effects of high blood sugars on my body anymore. Diabetes comes along with heart disease, changes in eyesight and blindness, loss of limbs, neuropathy, and difficulty healing, among other things. All of those conditions are a great concern, as I have seen members of my family suffer and die due to diabetes. Ozempic changes all of that. The side effects were fairly tough, I experienced nausea, stomach pain, constipation, and a general feeling of being unwell. However, after a bit of time, my body adjusted, and the symptoms got much, much better. It was all worth it to me. I did lose my insurance at one point after taking Ozempic for about a year and a half. I am now back on it. Thankfully."
