For Heart Failure "Two heart attacks diagnosed with CHF, open-heart surgery, stents x3 in 2014. Started on Entresto for almost a year, tired, dizzy, but my legs were suffering also my calves. My Entresto was increased since last month, everything got worse, panic attacks at night due to irregular heartbeat and shortness of breath. Just came from the doctor and hate when they treat you as a drug addict. I have been struggling with severe leg pain, ankle pain due to joint pain, stiff calves, shooting pain in hands and feet! Yes, I have neuropathy, but Entresto makes you hypersensitive! Your heart feels like a washing machine when the clothes are not balanced, blurred vision, and worst of all extremely dizzy. I am stopping this medication right now! Definitely, the FDA is not on the consumer side, it is all about money! They are just using patients like us to test these medications, and I will not fall for it anymore."

For Heart Failure "So my EF was 17 when my cardiologist put me on Entresto, and it went down to 13 within 1 month. I had to call 911 twice before my cardiologist took me back off it for critical shortness of breath and critical low blood pressure. I also experienced mental fogginess, blurred vision, and back pain while I was on Entresto. So my cardiologist put me back on Ramipril, and my EF went back up to 17, and I feel much better."

For Heart Failure "The side effects of this medicine ALMOST KILLED ME!!! I had trouble breathing. It lowered my left ventricle ejection fraction 30-35% to 15-20%, and I went from a normal-sized heart to severely enlarged in just 6 months. Read about the side effects and the incomplete clinical trials, this medicine may be detrimental to your health."

For Heart Failure "After a few weeks of taking the lowest dose, my dad started feeling weak, he could not breathe, and he could not walk anymore. The doctor kept saying to take Entresto because it is a miracle drug and that he just had low iron in his blood. Well, we went to another cardiologist, and my dad was full of fluids with almost an edema in his lungs! Plus, his EF got worse. Please be careful with this drug, it is not good for old people, they are too delicate, it can even kill you."

For Heart Failure "I'm 34 years old. The doctor claimed my heart was weak because of non-compaction, and my ejection fraction was at 30 percent from an echo. He told me to take Entresto. I was taking it for 6 months, then they sent me to take an MRI. The MRI showed the ejection fraction was 38%. All of a sudden, my body started to reject Entresto. My feet and hands started to tingle, I was extremely dizzy, I was having chest pain under my pec muscle, and one night I was breathing funny, and I thought my life was finishing. I was like, is this it? The next morning, I tried to contact my doctor's office, and they claimed that's normal. So I took it upon my own, and stopped taking the pills for a while. I want my ejection fraction to increase."

For Heart Failure "My husband was diagnosed with CHF and was put on Entresto and taken off Lisinopril. He only took 3 pills and we ended up in the ER with shortness of breath. He also has kidney issues and I’m concerned about the side effects of this drug. He’ll probably not take this drug anymore."

For Heart Failure "A NP switched me from Lisinopril to Entresto eight weeks after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) x2. Bad news from day 1. I took it for approximately 5 days thinking it must just be me, not realizing I was hitting on EVERY side effect mentioned. I've taken all kinds of drugs (including some illicit ones that I'm not really proud of) and in my case found this one to be the most dangerous compound I have ever come across. Blood pressure dropped, fatigue, constant nausea and dizziness, unbelievable shortness of breath even with the most minor exertion, night sweats, and a cough I didn't have before. I put this med in the toilet and went back to Lisinopril. No problems now and have changed cardiologist."

For Heart Failure "Male, 61 years old. I had a tissue aortic valve inserted late 2017, thanks, Grandma, for the hand-me-down. Then, in early 2019, I started to get fatigued and short of breath, it was not good. In September 2019, my cardiologist fitted my pacemaker with a defibrillator and put me on 1.5 tablets a day, 24/26 mg. I have never felt better since taking Entresto. Seriously, I feel like a new man again. It is just good to move freely, climbing stairs, hills, etc., without becoming tired and fatigued."

For Heart Failure "My team did not know how Entresto worked, they knew I might get GERD and that I might get low potassium. They did prescribe me potassium, and I got weaker. The last two times I had to go to their office in a wheelchair, I had trouble breathing, so they added Isosorbide. At no time did they think high dose Entresto was a problem, but when I was in there, I was not able to breathe well or walk. I realized when symptoms started it was the Entresto. I refused the drug. Next time, I was able to walk 18 hours later, but it took 110 days to have no more Entresto-caused side effect symptoms."

For Heart Failure "After 3 weeks on this trial drug, Entresto, I started having breathing problems. I was out of breath going upstairs and short of breath most of the time. By my 4th month, I had gone from being a 51-year-old to seeming like an 81-year-old. I had no energy, and a 10-minute walk home now took over half an hour. Even though I was walking as slowly as possible, I had many stops to catch my breath and get my heart rate down. I can no longer walk anywhere and rely on a lift. I stopped taking the drug. Maybe I'm down to feeling like a 71-year-old now. Just hoping the side effects will completely disappear. I have a meeting with my consultant at the end of the week."

For Heart Failure "I started Entresto for chronic heart failure. It did remove the fluid from my legs and feet, but I could not stand the chronic diarrhea, foggy head, muscle pain. I had more shortness of breath than I had before I took the medication. I fell because I was extremely dizzy, and my blood pressure was too low. I stopped taking it, and I feel a lot better than I did before. It just didn't work for me. I will be alerting my cardiologist."

For Heart Failure "When I was first taken off of Enalapril, I started Entresto on the lowest dosage (50 mg). The only side effect I had was a lack of energy. My dosage was doubled to 100 mg after a few weeks. That was when I started noticing worse side effects. Breathing difficulties were the most significant. I also noticed my energy levels decreased even further: lightheadedness and dizziness when standing, dry mouth, increased thirst, and throat swelling (all of which I'm suffering from at the moment). As suggested on the insert for this medication, I will not be taking my next PM and AM dosage because of the throat swelling and will be calling my cardiologist first thing in the morning."

For Heart Failure "My 97-year-old mother has been on Entresto, and it has her so weak and gasping for air. She is itching and being very warm. I am taking her off of the Entresto. I don't believe this drug is good for elderly patients. As of today, I'm taking her off this drug. I will let her cardiologist know. She is on other blood pressure meds and on a diuretic."

For Heart Failure "Suddenly, one evening I couldn’t breathe, went to the ER and was diagnosed with CHF, dilated cardiomyopathy, pulmonary edema, and pneumonia. A 2D echo showed LVEF of 30-35% and I was started on a low dose of Entresto and have felt worse since being on it, with symptoms of chest pain, shortness of breath, increased PVCs, hypotension, dizziness, numbness and tingling in the entire body, with feelings of doom. After revisiting the ER two more times and one more hospital admission and still feeling worse, I realized after having taken Entresto for 3 months that my horrible symptoms began when I started taking Entresto. I stopped taking Entresto four days ago and am actually beginning to feel better, more normal. Know that Entresto is a great new drug for treating heart failure, but unfortunately I could not tolerate it ... the side effects outweighed the benefits for me."

For Heart Failure "I was diagnosed with heart failure three years ago at age 34 and prescribed Entresto for the past two years when my EF was 15. The first year was rough taking the medication as I was constantly tired and lethargic. After about a year, I feel more energy walking and am not in a tired and dizzy state that I was for a year prior. However, if I ever miss a dose, I notice that I immediately, within a day or two, start feeling chest tightness, shortness of breath, and ankle tingling. I am on the lowest dose along with Carvedilol and have resisted any raised dosages. I feel okay with it as long as the regimen is kept. Last EF was 29, so there is some improvement."

For Heart Failure "I was on Diovan for 8 years, doing okay. In the past year, I was having more symptoms of heart failure, tired, rapid weight gain, swollen ankles, out of breath. My neighbor said his wife was put on Entresto during the COVID pandemic because she was always in the hospital. Anyway, my cardiologist prescribed the lowest dose 24/26. At first, I felt really tired! Then my cardiologist said to make sure to cut down on my diuretics to half of what I was taking. That helped a lot! I feel so much better, have more energy, and my ejection fraction is normal now! Very glad I got my cardiologist to let me try Entresto."

For Heart Failure "Heart attack in April 2018. Just escaped from certain death. Age 48. Finally, the doctors implanted 3 stents and a defibrillator. The EF at the time was 30%. I was on various ACE drugs, but the EF was not improving. My cardiologist suggested trying the new drug Entresto. We risked it since we had no other options or reviews. Needless to say that I had shortness of breath, got tired easily, my feet while walking were more 'balloon' type. Within a week of usage, I managed to take a big deep breath, and my lungs filled up with oxygen for a very long time. That was it. Ever since, I felt better and better, stronger, mentally more enthusiastic, with the EF rising presently at 44%. I know it is not much, but good enough to have a NORMAL life. I had no other side effects for 3 years now. I strongly recommend it."

For Heart Failure "I was put on Entresto 18 months ago as a wonder drug which would extend life, I was taken off Ramipril. No side effects, and then just lately my potassium levels have gone to 5.7 - should be 5. No changes to diet, but I feel worn out, muscle aches, breathless. But my GP reduced the dosage, and K levels came down, but the consultant wants Entresto back up! And has prescribed a binder to reduce K. The irony is that Entresto has not moved my left vent function at all! So you ask yourself, is all the messing with potassium worth it?"

For Heart Failure "The first day of starting Entresto, my husband did not feel good and continued to feel worse every day. After taking it for a week and a half, he started having confusion and shortness of breath, along with severe combativeness. He literally went crazy, chasing me and my 5-year-old son, trying to attack us like we were strangers, and punched my vehicle window, causing it to shatter. He never remembered any of the incidents. After 2 days of craziness, I finally got the nerve to take him to the ER, and he tried to jump out of my truck while driving down the road. He had severe depression, and this was not his norm at all. The ER found nothing wrong and suggested that he follow up with his doctor. We came home, and after talking about it, we decided that it may be the Entresto causing the craziness, so he did not take it the next morning. Since stopping the Entresto, he feels better and is completely back to normal with no craziness."
