Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "You may be reading these comments because, like many of us, you were horrified by the burning and itching the medicine caused. If that is the case, I wanted to let you know that the one thing that helped me get to sleep was pressing a cold washcloth against the outside vulva area (NOT WIPING), then gently laying down and trying very, very hard not to move. Moving, wiping, and itching will make the pain and irritation even worse. Of course, try to get as much of the cream out if you can't bear it. I only suffered through one night/day of it, then, thankfully, I was able to get a Diflucan pill. If Monistat doesn't make your symptoms worse, then count your lucky stars!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "The box says, 'mild increase in vaginal burning, itching, or irritation may occur.' The person who wrote that is a master of understatement. I thought the reviews that refer to ants, suns, and curling irons were greatly exaggerated. Not so, grasshopper. Within a minute or two of use, the burning started. Within five minutes, the burning and itching were so bad that I almost couldn't stand it. Cold, wet washcloths and ice packs have been applied liberally; I'm an hour into 'treatment' and have just managed to stop crying. I pray that this ends before morning."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I will NEVER use this stuff again. The irritation from a yeast infection is already enough, and this stuff makes you burn like never before and itch. It’s a horrible feeling. I will not use this again. I ran to the shower 10 minutes after application :/"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This cream definitely does burn when you first take it for two days, but after the 2nd day, the burning dies down because the infection is improving and there is less yeast overgrowth. The cream will definitely treat the infection. I recommend you take it at night! Please. The burning is irritating, but it's manageable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG - the agony! I bought this product yesterday and thought I'd start with an application of the cream, which I hoped would be soothing. NOT! Burning, itchy, irritation like I couldn't believe. Had a lukewarm bath to try to get rid of it. Thought the suppositories would be better. No! As the toxic stuff leaked out, I was on fire. Couldn't sleep for the pain. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is hell. Intense, unrelenting itching and pain, redness, and irritation. Report this bad stuff to the FDA as I just did via the link below. I am sorry for everyone going through this right now. Do a computer search for how consumers can report an adverse event or serious problem to the FDA."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I don't know why this product is allowed to be sold. Almost instantly after using it, my vagina felt like it was on fire. Burning, itching, with irritation so bad. The irritation lasted for an entire week, cyclical because I kept itching and creating sore spots. This stuff is the worst. I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have had a YI before and have used this product, and it was wonderful! And then I have it again, and it’s painful! First day was fine, then the next 3 days have been the worst. I have no clue how I got any sleep on day 2/3. I just used it and peed after, and wiping it made it so much more irritated! I wanted to try and keep it in all night and woman up, but geez, I’m in pain."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The box did say that a 'mild increase in vaginal burning, itching, or irritation may occur,' but oh my God this is NOT mild. This is like my yeast infection times a billion, I’m definitely not sleeping tonight and completely and totally regret buying this. I’ve never felt more irritation in my life. This is actually the worst."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve taken Monistat 3 before and nothing like the experience I had from Monistat 1. The burning is literally unbearable and the worst pain I’ve ever encountered. Honestly, I’d rather have the discomfort from my yeast infection. I tried everything from a shower to a cold rag and even tried to wear a tampon to clean it all out. The burning and irritation are so bad. Warning: no one use. This is the worst pain ever. Never again."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have never had a Y infection as bad as this before. I was using coconut oil for a few days, and I noticed at night I felt worse. But definitely okay during the day. Maybe it was doing its job. After two days, my mom suggested this and said it’ll work ASAP. I inserted and applied topically before bed and cried. Just cried, I was in so much pain. The pain and itching have been intolerable. My husband had no idea what to do for me. I’ve been up all night tossing and turning, filled with anxiety about the side effects. It’s now 4 am, and I tried to clean it out and put coconut oil over it. I will never use this product again or recommend it. I feel worse, and now it’s so irritated down there... it’ll take longer now to heal."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was my first experience using Monistat 1, and this thing is a miracle. I see a lot of women saying it burned and caused irritation. Maybe the severity of the irritation really depends on how bad your yeast infection is. Don't worry too much about it and take some pain relievers! Taking some drugs with Monistat will seriously help the burning and ease some itching. I took it around 8 pm and slept through the whole night. The next morning, I experienced a little discomfort, but nothing unbearable. I am feeling much better, and the itching is gone! Definitely use this before your yeast infection gets too bad. Good luck, ladies."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was terrified to use this after reading the reviews. I had already inserted the egg before reading anything about it. The reviews were mainly 1/10, but I didn’t have the experience that those reviewers had. I was expecting it to burn and even feel like “fire ants,” as one person said. I went to bed about an hour after inserting it, and I slept through the night. There was a tiny bit of irritation before bed, but it didn’t hurt. If your yeast infection is really bad, I may suggest not using this because I think that’s why it hurt them more than others. If it’s really bad, I think the 7-day option would be best."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This literally hurt. I went to my doctor to make sure the YI was gone. There was nothing there, but I got my cat checked and she saw irritation and little marks. This product is awful, you shouldn’t ever use this product. It takes the yeast away, but it causes other problems. I’m still having an on and off burn/irritation, especially when I wipe."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First dose. At night before bed. The next day with a really bad irritation. I had to look it up to see if it was normal. It's been at least 3 years since taking it. Second day hardly any. 3rd pretty much done. I didn't put anything on the lady parts, I'm certain that's what got me into getting a yeast infection in the first place. I just changed my underwear 2 or 3 times and avoided baths. Took showers instead. It was also the generic brand of Monistat."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I don’t care what the comments say, I had to discontinue use of this product. My first night with this antifungal cream, I sat on a freeze pad and dealt with it. My second night, it felt like someone poured straight acid on bits, and it irritated me so much that I was scratching all over and wiping the cream off and out (don’t recommend). No more cream for me, that’s for sure."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Honestly, this BURNS. No joke. And it itches A LOT. But it does help. Looking at the ingredients, I expected it to burn, obviously, lol. It’s helped me feel sooo much better. It’s not really a pain. I feel it’s more like a really bad irritation, like 8/10 irritation, because the sting and the itching is like having poison ivy down there in the south side. It’s nothing I can’t handle, but I know there are more sensitive kitty cats out there, so just be careful! And be safe! Please, please read and look into everything BEFORE you put it in your body. Even lovers ;)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I actually bought the drugstore brand, not the Monistat brand, and maybe that’s why I had such a better experience than everyone here. But I also didn’t have a horrible yeast infection to begin with. I bought it because I had bad itching and redness/discomfort, I took it before I went to bed, and no issues. Woke up feeling perfectly fine AND my itching is virtually gone. No pain, burning, or irritation at all when taking it! I’d recommend after reading these 1) get the drugstore brand & 2) do not wait until the infection gets really bad. I feel like the earlier you treat it, the easier it is to treat. But yeah, I loved it & would definitely use it again! No issues here, but just make sure you know it’s actually a yeast infection and not something else before buying this, because that could make it worse too."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG. Do not use this. I've never felt such burning and irritation in my life. I sat on a cold washcloth off and on all night. This really shouldn't be sold or should have some kind of serious warning. The relief cream that came with it did not help at all. This was a horrible experience."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m giving this a 5/10… simply because it is only day 1. I put the suppository in about an hour ago (11:40 PM). This yeast infection has had my bits itching for the past 2 days, nonstop, to the point where I had to get off work early because I could NOT stop itching. The skin all over my body was getting irritated, and I literally started crying. I'm a pharmacy tech, and my manager (the pharmacist) recommended MONISTAT 3. She allowed me to get off work early… thank God I only live 4 minutes away from my job because I barely made it home, it was itching so bad. But, as soon as I got home, I showered, inserted the suppository, put on some of the cream… and I’m already feeling so much better. The burning is more of a burning sensation. It actually feels pretty good."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve taken all 3 of the Monistats (1, 3, and 7 day). The one day is TORTURE!!!!!!! The 7 day does not hurt but I feel like I am treating this infection forever. I am on day 2 of the 3 day and I’m glad I chose it. 2 days ago I had some irritation which I thought was some razor burn/chafing after I went running. WRONG! The next day it hit me like a freight train and I could hardly sit or wear undies. I put the external cream on in the afternoon and went about my day. It definitely helped. Did the first egg at night and now it is morning and I feel a million times better. No terrible fire burn or itching with this one after the first use. I will definitely finish the course on this as 3 days is much more manageable than 7. I will use it again!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Purchased Monistat 7 because I'm very sensitive. Certain soaps, colored rags, and draws give me a yeast infection. So I keep it just in case. It was mild, so I did 3 days. Day 1 I went straight to sleep, so it was cool. About 2-4 a.m. last night (day 2) I awoke to severe itching, without burning. I took a hot rag and went to work. Whatever they put in this cream will have you angry and irritable! This morning I was just about normal, but not fully. So tonight (day 3) I used it, and the itch was unbearable. I hopped right back in the tub with hot, hot water and splashed it there. When the itch calmed, I got out and didn't wipe away the remaining medication. I recommend this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I read the reviews and vowed to NEVER use this product, but seeing how I get constant YI and only had $10, I decided to say f*** it and just get it. I buy the 3-Day Equate treatment, terrified out of my mind that I'll have to go to the doctor anyway with the way some ladies say it made them feel, but the moment the medicine was in and I applied the cream all I felt was bliss. The itching and irritation just went away. The only problem was it leaks during the day, so wear a sanitary pad or a tampon if you can. Otherwise, a great help!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "06/05/2018 Monistat 3 Day also caused me to bleed, itch, and burn! I ignored the spotting blood and discomfort the first two nights, but the third and final was terrible! After application, I had an immediately bad reaction, intense itching and burning, irritation, redness, and swelling! WILL NEVER USE MONISTAT BRAND AGAIN! I don’t know if this was a bad batch (it seems other people recently had a similar experience?!) but the package showed the expiration for 2019!"
