For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used Monistat 1 Day to help clear up my yeast infection. I have used this product in the past, and it worked fine. However, tonight my lady part is on fire. The product has me burning so bad that I thought about going to the ER. There is a section in the paperwork that comes along with the product that states: 'Mild increase in vaginal burning, itching, or irritation may occur.' That's done, Bull. I'm experiencing more than just mild burning. It feels like someone took a match and set my kitty cat on fire. Omg, when will this burning stop?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "LADIES. The first two times I tried Monistat, I had an awful experience just like everyone else did. Such terrible burning and itching. I was afraid to take it again, but this most recent YI I got was just too awful to bear, and I knew Monistat had worked for me in the past, be it painful or not. This time it was fine! All I did differently was take ibuprofen so the swelling and pain would subside, and then lay in bed pants-less so the air could get down there and reduce the irritation and itchiness. After waiting a little while and letting all the aggravated skin settle, I then put in the applicator. The key is to NOT use the medication when your vagina is all irritated. Lay in bed and relax a little first."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve been doing this treatment for only three days. Every night after I shower, I insert the cream. The first 15-20 minutes are the worst - burning, itching, and irritation. The first time I used this product, there was absolutely no pain, a little discomfort considering it was my first time. I don’t know why this is hurting so much, I’m going to research the ingredients to see what might be causing this. I’m experiencing the pain right now, it’s awful, I want to rinse it out."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I wish I came here before I went to the pharmacy! I bought the 3-day with hopes of immediate relief. A few minutes after inserting, I could feel the burn and irritation. It's causing more discomfort than the actual yeast infection! The burn is comparable to a hair relaxer that sets your scalp on fire."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Putting this in my vagina is a regret right up there among staying with my cheating ex-boyfriend and breaking my toe that one time. Literally cannot remember a time I was in such pain and discomfort. Seriously irritated right now and wishing more than anything I had read all these reviews first. Guess that's what you get for trusting the pharmaceutical industry. Definitely going to Planned Parenthood tomorrow to get the pill medication. Tossing this pronto and then throwing some shade at my mother for not warning me that it would turn my vagina into a fire-breathing dragon."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I don't recommend this medicine to anyone unless you enjoy horrible itching, burning, pain, discomfort, and irritation. I used it about an hour ago, lay down... starting feeling the itching and burning right away, ran to the bathroom and tried flushing the medicine out. Ouch! Horrible. Do not buy!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG, so I've taken the 3-day and 7-day Monistat in the past, no problem. My story: So after taking some antibiotics for 10 days, I had a visit from the YI monster. I took the 1-day, and holy hellfire. I woke up feeling like Satan took up a vacation home in my lady parts. I tried the flipping cream that came with it too, and nope, FIRE DOWN BELOW! I finally read below about a woman being told Desitin diaper rash cream from her doctor, and at this point, I would put tiger's blood on my burrito if it would stop this holy hellfire. Welp, after literally sitting in the shower for 20 minutes, my awesome partner went out and got me Desitin, and that worked. I think the combination of going in the shower and putting the Desitin cream on afterward helped. I even took 2 Advil. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. Unless you want to feel like napalm hit your va jay jay and its neighbor."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Didn't take the medicine for 2 or 3 days after reading the reviews, kept putting it off. Did it last night, woke up, the itching went down at least 90%, swelling is down 50%. I was scared of the intense itching and burning people said they got from taking this. I counted down the first hour, waited, nothing ever burned or intensified. I found laying down irritated me more, so I sat up in my bed. It helped keep the medicine in too. Seems when the cream touches your vulva, that's when it becomes irritated the most. If it came out, I wiped it off. Quickly found that religiously applying organic refined coconut oil eased the itch from the very beginning. Seems to be very effective after one day. Some people put coconut oil on a tampon, I just applied inside and out. Also, I used a tiny bit of hydrocortisone. I didn't have itch relief cream with my Monistat 3, so the next day I tried Vagisil medicated anti-itch wipes, and those burned worse for me."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, a friend referred me to Monistat 3 cream. This is my second day, and I want to pull my hair out from the pain and irritation. OMG, I wish I had read the reviews first. I took it at 9, it’s almost 11, and I’m still in pain. I’m trying to stick it out, hopeful that it works, but now I need something for pain."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I feel you all! I feel fire ants all over my vagina after inserting the medication. I hope it works. I used it before years ago, and this was never an issue, my guess is that it is a new formula. I hope I don’t get a YI anymore in my life."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omg! I was not expecting this outcome at all! It definitely will make your lady parts itch hardcore! I hear that’s normal, but oh man, that first 15 minutes was intense! It has been 35 minutes already, and I can feel some itching down there, but not as bad as when I first applied the cream. I’m hoping it’s helping, and by day 3 it will feel better! Any irritation down there isn’t going to feel good with any product. Stay strong, ladies!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Honestly, worst thing ever. I'm currently in bed, twitching every second, not being able to stay still. I came across this page and it made me feel better that I wasn't the only one. The first time I used Monistat 7, it worked fine, and I don't know what they have done to this product. OMG, I'm burning, it's so irritating. I don't know what to do, and I'm so tired. Please don't buy this product, just go to the doctor and see what they recommend for you. I really regret the decision to use this."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Felt symptoms of YI coming on (irritation, swelling, and slight discharge). Woke up the very next day with a full-fledged YI. Couldn’t get ahold of my dr right away, so I did something VERY desperate and purchased Monistat 1. This little ball of fire fury is the worst, most lethal thing I think I have ever come across in my life. I went from having a YI to having the fiery depths of lava bubbling inside of my lady bits. It looks like I gave birth again and hurts to walk/sit. Did my best to remove it all after the burning intensified, but I’m still suffering after a whole 24 hours. Not worth the stress, trouble, money, and it does absolutely nothing but make things 1000x worse. Just call your gyno and ask for Diflucan or another prescription option because OTC YI treatment is NOT the way to go."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I seriously have no other way to put it. This treatment is awful. Not even 5 minutes after inserting the medicine, I began to feel itching and burning way worse than anything I have experienced with a YI. It's like I would almost rather have a YI than use this medicine again. I know, right? I couldn't sleep, I literally cried because of the discomfort and itching/burning coming from my vagina. I knew 'mild' irritation could occur, but this is horrendous. I am not sure how a product like this can be sold and advertised as an anti-itch preventative, but I will never buy or use this product again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I delivered an 8-pound baby by high forceps but have never experienced the discomfort and crazy irritation like I have from this product. This better freakin' kill the yeast because I don't think I could live through another 3 days of this. Took ibuprofen and Benadryl, but if I had anything stronger, I'd take it with a shot of whiskey. Wow, this stuff is painful!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm currently on day 3 of the 7-day, and I feel the worst pain coming from my vagina. I was recommended this product by a nurse, and I want to scream at them for even suggesting this was a good idea. Although my initial irritation from the yeast infection has minimized, the pain that this product causes is far worse. I'm praying that I feel some relief in the morning because I cried as if my vagina was being ripped apart by the dogs just now. I'm sitting here, and it's still burning to the point I have to keep my legs open for some type of relief. My eyes are still watering, and I'm contemplating taking a baby wipe and getting this stuff off me just so I can put some coconut oil down there instead. Seriously, none of these reviews are joking at the intense amount of pain this product produces. Why is it that we are forced to endure this?! I bet you a man created this product because I damn sure don't believe any woman did. I wouldn't wish this pain on my worst enemy."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Seriously, listen to the posts. I had a YI once before and used this cream. There was a slight sting last time, but it went away in a flash. I wonder if they changed the formula because this time it burned. It burned so bad I started trembling from the pain. I was in so much pain I started trying to get it out. It made the irritation so much worse. I tried it again, and it burns so bad. It just hurts. I can't walk, I can't sit. Please, no more. Please just go to your doctor, this stuff is painful."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m eighteen and just had my first yeast infection due to an antibiotic. While the YI irritation is... irritating, it's NOTHING compared to the torture that you can experience if you use M1. Thirty minutes in, the itching increased. Thinking this was normal, I did an internet search for reviews. By the time I realized my mistake, I was too far gone. I live in a dorm, and the pain was so bad I had to get to the showers. Showering helps, but staying in there forever isn’t an option. I read that an ice pack was helpful. But alas, I don’t have a freezer. And of course, there is nothing in the communal fridge. I ended up purchasing old-fashioned popsicles and am hoping to help another poor soul make a better decision - with two popsicles wrapped in paper towels between my legs. Long story short - love yourself. Don’t use this. But if you do, rinse and any form of ice pack you can get your hands on."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Inserted miconazole 7, and within 15 minutes, the fireworks began. Itching, irritation, burning... torture (why me)!! I Googled the symptoms because this type of pain could NOT be normal. Found this site (thanks God), read the reviews, and decided to stick it out and go through the process. After about 50 squats and 20 minutes of twerking for relief."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'll just discuss the repercussions of this OTC medicine. Without doing any research, I purchased Monistat 1 ovule, and I regret making such a big mistake. Twenty-four hours after using, I had severe swelling, soreness, itching, and irritation of the entire vulva. Indescribable pain when I urinated because my skin had ruptured in certain areas. I thought that I just had a resistant yeast infection, but after seeing my OB/GYN, I came to the realization I had an allergic reaction. She thought I had herpes based on my symptoms and an examination, but it's not possible because I'm married, and my husband and I have been faithful. I was basically bedridden for three days, in debilitating pain. It's been almost a week now and my 'lady business' is still healing."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the Monistat 3 and only put some of the cream on because my YI was just starting, and oh my goodness, DO NOT. I am so sorry for the ladies that actually inserted this inside of them. I've given birth, and it was less painful. This felt like my sensitive bits were ON FIRE. I've used similar products before and never had this reaction. I don't know why they included something like icy hot in the ingredients, but they need to not."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "⚠️ Warning! This burns! I might have to sue. I used this several times in the past, and it was fine, but this time I used Monistat 7, and the first few doses were fine. But by the fourth night, I had itching and burning that I didn’t have before. After stopping the suppositories, I had much irritation and burns every time I pee. I cry a lot! They must have changed their formula, and don’t use this product!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I read these reviews and am literally dying of laughter, which appears to be a much better option than taking the medicine itself. I used the Monistat 1-day oval insert. It felt better and did not burn immediately upon use. However, the itching this caused was unbearable. I really did want to claw my vagina off. I thought the itching was just the YI; as I have used this product in the past and it has never done this. I suppose I used the external cream sparingly in the past and this time I used it to take care of the itching... which I honestly feel like it irritated my vagina and urethra even more. To the point where I couldn't even bear to have anything touch my urethra. I now have Neosporin on it in an attempt to help the irritation."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Tried the three-day prefilled applications, and boy, was this stuff awful!! In the past, it was nothing like it is now. The burning started immediately and lasted well over 30 minutes. At first, I thought something seriously was wrong with me, but then I remembered I was nowhere close to the pain before starting it. The company definitely changed something, and there must have been a mad scientist in the lab when they changed it. It's been several days after the fact, and there's an irritation that wasn't there prior to using this stuff. It's the pill from now on!!"

I have used it before, maybe 3-4 times. NEVER!!! Have I experienced the burning/irritation like I did this time. Whew! A cool towel and coconut oil helped calm things down. Ladies, be safe and don’t use this. My life flashed before my eyes."
