For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got this as a recommendation from my OB/GYN after getting a culture tested, and I was told I had a YI. Directly after inserting my very first tube, my vagina is on fire. I showered as I thought the warm water might ease the pain, nope. I was literally shaking for an hour and a half because I was in such bad pain."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First night using, and it's a little uncomfortable, but it's probably the medication doing the job right. My symptoms before this were similar to an angry dragon. My lady bits were uncomfortable, sore all day, a burning feeling not just when peeing, but did occur while urinating as well, and very little itching here and there. This slight pain will hopefully result in a happier atmosphere down there. I see lots of reviews pointing out the burning and itching, but it's gotta get worse before it gets better is what I think, but it honestly depends on each individual what you are willing to tolerate. Pills are easier, less messy, and no dealing with any discomfort, just wait for your body to react. This is what my doc told me to take since I am pregnant, and unfortunately, pregnancy tends to throw your body off track. Hopefully, this will be the only time I have to do/deal with this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "HOLY MOLY! Just like everyone else, I read these reviews. After I inserted this, I felt like it burst into flames. It started with mild itching/burning, but as I read these experiences, it hit me full force like a furnace. I will eat yogurt FOREVER and garlic every day if it will keep me away from this product. I laughed at myself the entire time I was writhing in pain! Reading these definitely helped, and momma didn't raise a quitter, but I'm going to have to walk away from this product and just make an appointment with the doc."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, as I lay here with my knees to my chest and read these reviews as I have for the past two days, I can say there is hope! Let me start by saying I think my yeast infection was already pretty bad by the time I caught it; I was already swollen down there. On day 1, I didn't read the instructions and just shoved the applicator up there, not very deep, and about 10 minutes later, I had an itch! I was sitting in my computer chair, squirming! After about 45 minutes, the pain subsided, but not before I considered soaking in an ice bath and calling an ambulance. On day 2, I woke up and the inside of my vagina felt swollen shut and dry, which was very weird. All day, it hurt to walk and move, but I could tell the infection was healing a bit. Now, here we are on day 3. I've read enough reviews to realize NOT to let this chili paste leak out, so I'm laying with my knees to my chest, and the burning is minimal with no itch. The yeast infection isn't completely gone yet, but I can tell it's getting better. So, all in all, it works, but it comes with a 'fire crotch.'"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I literally just used this product, and I literally had to hop right into the shower and wash it off! This product is way too strong for a sensitive area. As soon as I applied it to the irritating parts of my vag area, I experienced a burning and itching sensation! And even after I washed it off, the pain still remains! Never again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Every girl must read this before even considering purchasing this product! After inserting a tab, it felt like I was being set on fire down there. It burnt me so bad my vagina is now extremely swollen, red, sore, and painful to even the most gentle touch, it hurts to even wipe. I had to take a bath and then a cold shower to somewhat get rid of this burning/itching and mostly very painful sensation. I have used Canesten tabs previously, to help cure my infection without any issues, but this time I grabbed Monistat because it was on sale, and what a mistake that was! The pain was unbearable, and not knowing what was happening to my body has put my mind in a panic mode. Thankfully, I found this website, and it was a game changer. Ladies, thank you for these reviews, it really helped put my mind at ease."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, a few years ago I got a YI and decided to use the 1-day treatment. I ended up in the emergency room and had to apply an anesthetic ointment for a week. Jump to this week, another YI. I went for the generic brands, but Walmart was out of stock, so I figured the 7-day treatment would be more manageable. Day 1, I cried. I figured, hey, first day, I'll roll with it. Day 2, I rolled in pain, day 3, same thing. I started to think I had another condition. The thought didn't occur to me that the thing I was using to treat my condition was making it worse. I'm persistent, so I didn't quit. While researching, I discovered reviews that listed the same symptoms and realized it was the stupid cream. Day 6, I was, man, I don't know how much more of this I can take. Used it, ran to bed, and waited for the discomfort and pain, it didn't disappoint. 1 more day to go, and I'm thinking about quitting."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Absolutely no way. Stay far away. This stuff violently burns. It burns and itches more than the regular yeast infection. I have never felt pain and burning like this before. The first day I used it, I managed to stick it out for an hour. By then, the burning stopped. The second day, I couldn't bear it. I had to wipe it out. I couldn't take the violence happening inside me. It was so terrible. There goes money and product wasted."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the Monistat 7-day treatment because of a yeast infection from antibiotics. Took the first treatment last night and wish I had read this first. Horrific experience after taking the first dose! Pain, burning, and terrible itching, the same as the majority of people on here. So I thought, well, tonight has to be better as there is no way it could be worse than last night. Wrong-it is worse. That will be the last treatment I take of that. I can't believe how many people have had the same experience! It should be taken off the market!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Holy cow. Okay, so got a yeast infection like 2 weeks ago from antibiotics. Got the generic 3-day suppositories, used it before, thought it would be hunky-dory. Flash forward 4 days, not feeling better, so I called the on-call doctor. She told me that the 3-day can actually burn your vagina. Oh, great. So she told me to do the 7-day cream. Okay, fine, no problem, didn't think anything of it. First day, put it in, was just laying in bed, and oh my God, I couldn't sleep because my vagina was ON FIRE. As soon as it hit the opening of it, I was doomed. And the more I tried to just forget about it, the more it came back with a vengeance. The second day, same thing, a little more bearable, but still woke up from a dead sleep because it hurt so bad. Finally, almost done with it, and I might just skip the last 2 doses because I'm over it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Never had a yeast infection, and I get one a few weeks after finding out I'm pregnant. OB said Monistat 7. I only did half the applicator, and oh my! Please make this burning and itching STOP! I can't even think. I'm in so much pain, WAYYYY worse than the actual infection. Nope, not doing this anymore. Going to try natural remedies, the plain yogurt or garlic clove. Now hoping this will calm down so I can sleep. My alarm is going off in 5 hrs, and I have a cold washcloth there cooling things down."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I first started using it last night, 9/20/2018, and that was actually the worst burn and itch I had ever felt in my life. The feeling is indescribable. Tonight is my second night using it. It itches and burns tonight but not as bad as last night. I wouldn't suggest this product to anybody. It truly does hurt, and even though it does work, it is not worth the pain. Just go to the doctor for a pill or use either buttermilk or yogurt!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first night using Monistat 7 was definitely painful, but it only itched/burned for three minutes after insertion. The second day was much the same, but once those three minutes were up, I just felt relief from the swelling and itchiness. My tip: insert the cream as deep as you can. With the applicator shape, this can be hard. Definitely use gravity to help you here. I do it lying down with my hips elevated and slowly push down on the applicator. I usually take up to a minute at this step. It ensures that nearly none of the cream leaks after insertion. I think this is a big reason why I haven't had a similar reaction as other reviewers. Once I'm in bed, I lie on my side. The first night was definitely intense, but it passed quickly and I was able to have a full night's sleep. I'm on night three now and after this insertion I only had a warm/tingling sensation. Most of my YI symptoms are gone now (I will be completing the whole course)."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This by far was the worst experience of my entire life. The pain was immediate after inserting the medication, it burns and itches like hell! Within 5 minutes after use, I was crying in pain, and after 10 minutes, I was in the shower trying to wash it out. Now I'm stuck here with an ice pack on my vagina and even more pain than I was in. Do not use this! I wish I had read the reviews before I used this instead of just taking someone's word for it. I'll never make that mistake again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Worst pain ever. Within a minute or two of inserting the Monistat 7 cream, the burning intensified extremely and sent me running into the bathtub to try to get it out, while freaking out. I’ve now been freaking out for the past half hour, thinking maybe to go to the ER. It’s been around 30 minutes, and the pain still hasn’t gone away. It has lessened a little because I think I got most of it out, but I’m still in a lot of pain and discomfort. Would not recommend this AT ALL. Worst burning sensation I’ve ever experienced."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've always used miconazole to treat yeast infections... But I've ALWAYS used store brand. This is my first time using Monistat (7) brand, and I NEVER will again. My vagina and my clitoris are in SO MUCH PAIN. I'm even itchier too. Far more itchy than the yeast infection made me. It is NOT worth it at all. I'm 39 weeks pregnant, and this is the last thing I want to feel."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh, there truly must be something horribly wrong with this medication formula because I have NEVER experienced such excruciating pain and discomfort using a product like this. Two nights of misery, and I went and bought the generic Clotrimazole 7 at Walgreens (no issues). Monistat 7 made the burning, itching, and pain worse than my infection symptoms. Plus, once you have used the applicator, there’s no washing the product off your burning tissue. Do not use this product!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Horrible burning, made my itch even worse after application. I used this two previous times, 2014 and 2016, with good results, but not this time, apparently the formula was changed, 'cause the pain and itch are unbearable! Don't buy this Monistat 7, instead, go to the doctor. I'm even crying, ugh!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had used this product before and never had a problem. It seemed to help clear up the infection quite quickly. But I recently got another yeast infection and decided to use the product again. I would not recommend it at all. I got intense burning in my lower region. It got so uncomfortable within about 5 minutes that I had to take a shower and wipe all the medicine out. Afterwards, I was still in pain. Do not get Monistat. At all. Yeast infections already itch, and Monistat made it 100 times worse, plus insane burning. Hopefully, I won't have any rashes or swelling like the others. Definitely go see a doctor and get a prescription."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, seriously! I’ve used Vagisil wipes before that helped way more than this. Was researching what would work best, and everywhere online kept saying Monistat was the best and doctor recommended. Figured I should give it a go and cure the whole thing instead of temporarily relieving the itch and burn topically. WRONG! The itch relief cream doesn’t even help either. Now I’m laying in bed (per the suggestion on the box) in pain. I have enough garbage to deal with in college, all I wanted was to get rid of this, not make it my biggest problem!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am in my second day using the product. It’s worth the pain the first day. I followed the instructions and put the cream all the way when laying down on my back. I didn’t feel any itching until I woke up around 4 am with a lot of pain. But let me tell you, I found most of the cream was coming out. I went to the bathroom to wash and clean myself. Keep it dry!!!! It was burning, but still, I went back to sleep. In the morning, I washed myself again. I forgot to tell you to use water only, no soap, you don’t want to mix the products. I felt much better, my infection went down. Even if this morning I look like a zombie and I didn’t sleep well, I feel better, and I am sure the product works very well. I will finish the 7 days and let you know, ladies."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I decided to test out this product despite reading about the side effects beforehand. I don't usually experience any side effects with most other medicines, so I figured I'd be fine. This is only the first night, and while it's not the worst pain I've ever felt, it's probably about 6/10 on my pain scale. It's 4 am now because I haven't been able to sleep through the pain. The pain had just started to subside at about 3, when I rolled over, and it came back full force. I decided I'm not gonna wait three more hours to go to sleep, so I rinsed it out of me as best as I could. Thankfully, I have a shower hose. I'm now still more uncomfortable than before I tried to treat my yeast infection. I might try this again tomorrow night based on how some people said their first night was the worst. But if it hurts as much as it did this time, you can bet that I'm throwing this stuff out. There has to be a better alternative. My advice: try a different method first."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Monistat 7 is a terrible product. I have never felt such pain, burning my finger in a toaster feels better than this. It burned me immediately. I tried to get it out as quickly as I could, and then I went to wash the rest out with a cold shower. I will never again use this product. I am still burning, but it’s not nearly as bad. I am in so much pain, and I only put a little bit in, and some people put the full amount in. There are definitely a lot more negative reviews than positive. I do not recommend this product unless, of course, you want to have an unyielding fire in your vagina. If I could give this product a zero, I so would, but that’s not an option."
