For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So this was my first time buying YI cream from the store because my doctor usually prescribes it, but since I self-diagnosed myself, I figured why wait to go to the doctor for her to tell you what you already know. So I asked the pharmacist what YI cream would be the best, and she told me Monistat 7. The first night I used it, my vagina immediately started tingling. I’m like, okay, this starts to work instantly, but boy, it is painful. I’m on day 3, and the side effects have not let up one bit. But I think I’m gonna just go ahead and finish the whole 7 days so I can have a YI-free vagina."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have my first yeast infection, and it was suggested to me that I take Monistat 7. I was told it was the best and would make sure that I didn't have it by the end, versus 1 and 3. I read reviews and was really worried, but everyone that I talked to said that they didn't know anybody who has a problem. Well, let me tell you what... I sure had a problem! After putting on the cream for the night, I was writhing in pain/itch. It was so bad I could feel myself wanting to cry. It was horrid!!!! I told the people who suggested this to me, and they had never had that experience. We're thinking the formula changed. I'll be going to the Drs on Monday."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Horrible, horrible, horrible. Inserted the cream (which I had trouble doing), and after about ten minutes, the inside of my vagina started to itch and burn. At first, it was a little bit, and I could handle it, but then I was in instant tears from the pain. I didn't know what to do, so I ran to the shower to try and rinse it off. I still have some inside me, which I can tell since there's still a slight itch and burn, but oh my God, never again. Worst pain of my entire life!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After reading these comments, I feel better knowing I'm not the only one having the terrible itching. I'm on day 3 of using Monistat 7, and the itching from the medicine is ridiculous!!! It's been 45 minutes and is still itchy. To make the situation worse, the tube that you have to insert hurts to insert because of its shape. I've tried apple cider vinegar, currently taking a probiotic, using Summer's Eve wipes, and Summer's Eve wash. Deciding to use M7 was a huge mistake. Can't wait for these 7 days to be over with and to have some sort of relief."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Within 3 minutes of inserting the 7-day cream, I started to experience burning. It increased by the minute until it was unbearable burning. I took a shower trying to get all of it out, that didn't help. At this point, it was 2 in the morning, and I was experiencing one of the worst pains of my life. The extreme burning was actually causing pain. I ended up going to the ER. Not ever using Monistat again. Really recommend researching before using any topical cream."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've purchased Monistat 7 before in the past, and my symptoms disappeared in 2 days. I'm convinced now that the company has created a different version because my first day of using this version of Monistat 7, the pain was unbelievable. It felt as if someone stuffed my vagina with fire ants and knives. When I woke up, I was completely swollen, and I couldn't walk straight. I'm on day 3 now, and the itch is extremely unbearable. It seems as if it's getting worse, not better. Worst product ever!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used Monistat as a last resort. I went to the gyno, and she told me I had a YI, and she prescribed me with a 7-day treatment similar (assuming better) than Monistat 7. I went to get it, and no pharmacies where I live would have the product for at least three days. I COULDN'T not do anything because I’d had this infection for about 2 days already, and I had to try something. The first night I used it, IT WAS BAD. It was a burning pit in my vagina! I don’t cry easy, and this was so painful that I just sat in an ice bath for about an hour. And even after, it still burnt, and I didn’t sleep a whole lot. I tried again the next night, and the same thing happened. Please don’t use this, not even as a last resort. The pain was unbearable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "PSA: This product is horrible! I am on day 2 of this treatment, and I have never been in so much agonizing pain. I wish I would've seen all of these reviews before inserting this into my body. My legs won't stop trembling/twitching because my vagina is burning, and I just want to flush it all out. Guess I'm not getting any sleep tonight."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had been experiencing some mild itching and decided to diagnose myself with a yeast infection. I attempted to go to my gynecologist, but they had a two-month waiting list. It was only a minute after applying the treatment, and I was in excruciating pain. Burning and itching. Rolling on the bed, holding myself while crying. The worst of it was over relatively quickly. I decided to get in the shower and try to get most of it out, and 30 minutes later it is tolerable. Still some itching, but much better now. I'm not sure if it's painful because it's working or not, but I do know I will not be continuing the treatment. Going to call my doctor and see if they recommend anything."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "That too for me, and I thought it was just me experiencing the irritation after I inserted the application into my vagina. This pain is nothing I want to go through again. I've had yeast infections in the past, and the treatment was nothing like this. I hope it works because it sure feels like it's doing something down there."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Like others, this product caused unbearable itching and burning. I tried to wait it out, but I was doubled over in pain such that I thought I should go to the ER, so I ended up getting in the bath for relief. What a nightmare!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I will never again use this. Just a few minutes ago, I applied Monistat 7. The pain, itchiness, and burning are unbearable. I can’t take it anymore. I am feeling like it’s destroying my vagina instead of healing it. I tried yogurt, but I am feeling better just for now, though the itching won’t stop immediately."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have always used the one-day treatment of Monistat or similar products, which consists of an ovule rather than cream, and did not have any major problems. However, being pregnant, my doctor said that only the 7-day treatment was safe to use. This is a cream only, which you insert. The label states that you may experience 'mild burning'... this is such a huge understatement it should be illegal! I was in pain and discomfort unlike any I have experienced before, to the point where my legs were twitching and I was in tears. After trying to suffer through it, I had to take a shower and wash as much out as I could. Finally, after I got most of it out, the pain began to subside. Had to use it again 2 months later and got the same results."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first ever YI, and I'm on day 5 of using the Monistat 7. The first day, I could feel it working. The feeling of having to pee and the discomfort were kind of gone, or at least subsided quicker. I thought for sure by day 5 I'd be much better, but today I still feel a bit of discomfort. One of the nights, I even woke up to pee and was crying, it was so frustrating. To have the pain back. I have had my period for 4 out of the 5 days I've been using it. And I am so over using the pads all day and all night. :( discouraging"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first time having a yeast infection. I'm not fully cured, but I'm better after using the cream. The burning was unbearable when I put some outside my vagina. I'd recommend leaving that area alone and just focusing on the inside to avoid the pain. Also, I had trouble with the applicator. I guess I didn't put it in far enough because the cream came right out the first day."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Currently 24 weeks pregnant with a YI. I inserted my first treatment today before laying down, and I felt miserable. The pain was so bad that I used a few pieces of ice to soothe the area. After 30 minutes, I'm feeling much better with less burning."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So today I went out and bought Monistat 7 day. I don't normally get yeast infections, haven't had one for a few years, but when I do get them, I get them pretty severe. The last time that I got a really bad yeast infection, I bought Monistat 1 day, which worked fantastic, didn't cause any pain or discomfort like it said it would. Today is day one on Monistat 7, and I don't feel any discomfort, it doesn't burn, so I would recommend using Monistat 7 day. As I said before, it's only the 1st day, so we'll see how it works as I proceed to the 7th day."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First night it was crazy hard to get the applicator in as it felt really sharp, and almost immediately I began to burn/sting/itch like I've never felt before and felt very sudden jolts of pain deep inside to the point I was twitching in bed from it and wanting to scratch and get it all out. I stuck it through and felt okay when I woke up, used the anti-itch cream and oh man, hello again burning, itching, and pain jolts. Went away after an hour or half hour and I'm currently on night 2 and it was just as awful as yesterday. Now that it's been almost an hour I feel it starting to cool and calm down. Gonna do my best to stick it out the 7 days but man it's gonna be rough."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was told to use this by my doctor on the outside of my vagina, and I am in so much pain. I am taking Diflucan, and the doctor thought this would ease the pain on the outside, and it’s done the opposite. I have a call in now. I thought I used this before and never had such a horrible burn."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It definitely itches like hell for an hour or two, and I have had minor pain for a few hours too, but dear God, does it work. Just like cuts that are healing itch, your vagina is going to itch as the medicine works. I felt so much better the day after my first dose. Yeast infections need to be treated or they can become serious problems, and this is the cheapest way to treat it. I used the Monistat 7, and I think the 3 and 1 might be stronger. For those who complained about actual burning and swelling, that is an allergic reaction. Y'all really should be taking a small amount and applying a little first to see how your body reacts."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First YI. Insert cream and now my woman part is killing me! The itching got so bad my husband laughed because I looked funny squirming around and wiggling. Worst vagina pain ever. I just want it gone. I tried to wash it out, but it didn’t help. Took Benadryl, which has slowly helped. My poor thing was swollen! Hate this stuff and will never use it again. It should come with a warning label! God help it!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Currently in the shower 20 minutes after the first application, and my vagina is on fire. I’ve never been in this amount of pain. I’m shaking and crying and alone because my husband is working. I’m currently pregnant as well, and I’m freaking out. If I’m feeling this amount of pain, what is my baby possibly feeling or what’s going on in my uterus? Don’t use this product, get the over-the-counter medicine. I didn’t want to wait for my prescription, and now I seriously regret it. Please beware."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Save yourself from the immense itching and burning and get the Walmart brand of this. Though the burning means it's working, it's not worth the discomfort. If you do end up using this, take sleeping medication, painkillers, and apply petroleum jelly around your area before putting it on your kitty kitty meow meow. It does work, the pain will subside some after 20 minutes on the first day, just not worth the discomfort."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was afraid to try this because so many people spoke of the burning. I decided to try it, as I am unable to get into a doctor for another week. I am on day 2. I can say, at no point, did I have any burning or discomfort whatsoever. I guess everyone is different. I wear a pantyliner because there is some leakage, which is expected for a vaginal cream, but beyond that, there has been no pain or discomfort at all."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my God. I normally use regular boric acid suppositories to prevent any type of yeast infection down there, but I already had a yeast infection, so I picked some Monistat 7 up. I’ve used this before, which is why I’m so confused as to why it’s burning so bad! I just got out of the cold shower to try and soothe my vagina. Lord, it was so bad that I was scooping it all out with my finger. I’m now sitting with my legs open while the cool air hits down there. I feel a bit better but still in pain. I’m just going to sleep on it and go to the doctor’s early tomorrow morning to grab a fluconazole tablet. This was so bad!"
