For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I’d like to say at first I was terrified to use this product after reading various reviews. I have now been using this product for 7 days as told by the packaging. I have never had any burning or itching, and I feel perfectly fine. I have not had any pain/itching/inflammation outside of my lady parts, it was only yeast discharge before the use of this product. An actual doctor recommended this specific packaging for me. Today is the last night of use for Monistat 7, I will update you guys on the final effectiveness of this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The song 'Fire' comes to mind. After inserting the cream, immediate pain, itch, and burning. I thought I was going to die and became short of breath. I showered, I prayed for God's mercy, and it worked. There was some cramping, but mild."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm 31 weeks pregnant and developed a YI. The doctor on call told me to get this stuff. Immediately after application, I was filled with regret. It honestly felt like someone was taking a cheese grater to the interior and exterior of my lady parts. Why?! Seriously! I don't understand why this is okay. Does this pain occur with every application for all 7 days? I definitely can't tolerate that. I think I'm going to call the doctor tomorrow and beg for ANY other treatment that's safe during pregnancy."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m pregnant and have been suffering with severe itching for a while. My doctor told me I had a yeast infection and to buy Monistat and only use the cream externally. OMG, the pain and burning from the cream is so severe I feel like I’m going to pass out. I was using the cream twice a day for a week and have NO relief from my yeast infection, and it literally has been burning me every time I use the cream for a week straight. It hurts so much I feel like I can’t breathe, and I’m just thrashing my body around in pain. This product is so bad! I need help, and my doctors keep telling me this product is the safest way!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This product is absolutely horrible. I experienced the worst pain. The burning is absolutely unimaginable. I called my mother, and she was the one that recommended this to me, she said it has never burned like this. I highly do NOT recommend this product. She also thinks something has been altered. I was literally screaming because of the burning. I will not be using this product a second day. I will be going to my doctor!!! DO NOT USE. GO TO YOUR DOCTOR."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've been reading the reviews 5 minutes after I inserted the cream in. At first, I thought I was too much of a pussy not being tough enough to endure the burning pain. I admit, I'm still a wuss, but do not try this cream. It hurts so bad beyond what you can take. The worst part of my story is, my GYN doc was the one who told me to get it! WHAT THE F***! I followed every protocol, I called, made an appointment, met with the doc, and got the recommended treatment. What part did I do wrong? It's so painful! Is it a punishment rather than treatment for not taking care of myself well enough? Not getting it ever again, I don't care about the pill side effects anymore! What could be worse than this on-fire feeling?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This hurts so bad! This is my first time having a YI, and I wish I would have tried the yogurt because that seems like it helps better than the cream. I'm itching so much, and it's burning. I'm trying the cold water bottle and putting it down there, and it isn't helping much. I really don't think I will be using the rest of the applicators because of this horrible pain I am experiencing right now. Absolutely can't endure this pain, and I want to scratch it so bad or either take it out. I just hope it makes my YI go away!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My first night using it was last night. I don't know what it was, but I didn’t feel any pain or itching, just a slight burning. I went to sleep and woke up in pain. I went to pee, and boy oh boy, let me tell y’all, I thought somebody was pouring lava on me! Burns so badly! I squeezed it all out and put a cold rag on my bottom till it cooled down. Now I'm just laying here trying to decide what to do next. Has anyone got any tips or advice?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am pregnant and was dealing with some pretty intense itching. After seeing my OB, she reassured me it was pretty normal. I had just had a Pap smear, so she already knew it wasn't an infection. She recommended Monistat 7. It is fairly easy to use and comes with clear instructions. I did not experience burning or pain while using it, despite many of these reviews. The only thing I didn’t like was that the product does ooze out over the course of the next day (thanks, gravity). I did not like that feeling. Without a panty liner, it could be messy the next day, so make sure you are using one. That is why I gave it an 8 out of 10. Otherwise, the itching was gone the next morning, and my problem is solved."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve used Monistat over the years. Being diabetic, I get yeast infections frequently, but recently after using Monistat 7, I experienced intense and severe burning and itching! It was so painful I couldn’t sleep. It felt like my vagina was on fire, and all I wanted to do was sit on a block of ice. I’ve never experienced anything like this. This is a terrible product, and I would not recommend it to anyone. I had to put a pack of ice on my vagina and go to the urgent care the next day. They prescribed Diflucan, and now I have some relief. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!! Unbearable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am a prescriber, and after using my first dose personally and reading other people's experiences, I will never recommend this to a patient. The first dose is severely painful. To those who have already inserted it and are miserable, go get an ice pack. You’re not alone! I hear that subsequent nights are less painful, so I will be completing the treatment. Thank God there are alternative treatments out there, which I will use in the future."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first time getting a YI, and I tried to get an appointment with my doctor, but they couldn't see me for another week from now, so I went to the pharmacy today to see if I could get something to control the discharge and itching until I can see the doctor, and they suggested that I get Monistat 7. So me being the naive person that I am was like, oh, okay, that sounds great! So after I showered tonight, I applied day 1 of the application, and I promise you this is the worst pain I've ever experienced down there in my life! My vagina is on fire, it's itching and throbbing. I want to just wash this stuff out, but I feel like I should give the product a chance. Whoever created this stuff needs to readjust the formula because this sucks."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I cannot take Diflucan any longer, my body has built up a resistance. My only option is vaginal creams. Now if you think the 7-day cream burns, try the 3-day or 1-day! Talk about pain, they made me bleed! As for pain, here is my advice: take Tylenol or ibuprofen 30 minutes to an hour before you put the cream in. It burns my vagina like crazy, but I find if I take ibuprofen or Tylenol, I can at least sleep through the night. And definitely make sure you lay down ASAP after you insert the cream, otherwise, you really will be in some major discomfort. Good luck!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I developed a YI while I was on my period, and initially tried to cure my YI naturally by eating plain yogurt with live cultures, drinking water with ACV, and taking probiotics. They didn't help, so I picked up M7 because I read that it has the least side effects. LIES!!! The first night, I was in so much pain. My legs were shaking, and I was breathing like I was going into labor. The burning was horrible!! What helped: running a clean washcloth in cold water, squeezing out excess water, holding that to my vagina till the burning subsided. I took another clean dry rag and lightly pat dried down there. Then, I gently used a cooling towelette that came in the box. Lastly, I took an Advil. The next morning, I felt so much better. M7 really helped just after one night. Night two, I had to repeat the same pattern: insert cream, cold washcloth to the v-j, dried v-j, cooling towelette, Advil, sleep. I'm going to do my best to see this till the end because I want to be done with this damned YI."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The M7 is the most horrible pain I have experienced! I tried to wash it out in the shower, and it was so intense I could not bear the pain. It broke me out in hives. I used coconut oil to cool down, but the itchiness came back, but it did help me with the dryness. Luckily, I bought Vagisil anti-itch wipes, and I had Triamcinolone (super strong anti-itch cream) laying around the house. THIS HELPED ME SO MUCH! The Triamcinolone cooled down my itchiness in less than a minute, and it has calmed down my pain so much. Use Triamcinolone at your own risk. Research before using!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG, this stuff is horrible! Used for the 3rd night, and the last 2 nights, I have wanted to rip my insides out! What burning and itching... Words can't even explain how bad it is! I have taken Monistat many times in the past and have never had this problem ever! Do not buy this! Get a prescription from the doctor! Unbearable pain! I wish I had read this before I bought this stuff! Shame on me."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m on day 5 and have been doing the treatment that you insert. It’s been awful every single time. Typically takes at least 30 minutes to burn less than as intense as if little daggers stabbing at my most sensitive places. It’s a joke that the instructions say to take before bed. Try doing that and it really disrupts the bedtime routine—30 minutes of agony in the fetal position on the floor. I read in an earlier review that someone tried using a couple drops of tea tree oil with coconut oil. I tried it myself this 5th time and it soothed all the pain, itchiness, and discomfort. I used almond oil because it’s also a lady-part friendly carrier oil; that with a couple drops of tea tree and I immediately felt cooling sensations and relief. Amazing. Should have tried this sooner."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I give this a 5/5. I think I’ve had a YI before because this awful event was familiar. I’ve never gone to the doctor for it, and this time I decided to try this product. I read the warning and was nervous but did it anyway since I bought it with the intention. It kind of hurt to do, and for the next half an hour, I continued to be itchy and sore, and an ICY HOT equivalent burning started to take place. But now I feel a cool, numbing sensation. I also used the external cream, and they came with wipes for in public or whatever. I look forward to this feeling again tomorrow. I hope it clears everything else up as well."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I decided to buy the Monistat 7 for a yeast infection, thinking it was the same product I used in the past. I looked at the reviews and did not heed the warnings. Oh boy, I definitely should have. The applicator is not as user-friendly as I would have liked it to be, and the cream... don’t even get me started on that new-age torture device. Please don’t buy the product and definitely read the reviews first. The reviews are not good for a reason. Call your doctor and get a prescription instead, unless you are a masochist and like that kind of pain. It feels like acid in your vagina. DO NOT BUY!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m actually on Monistat 3, which is the 4% (2% higher than the 7), and you use it for 3 days. Tonight is my first night, and let me tell you, IT HURTS LIKE ANYTHING. This product feels like it is burning your vagina and scratching it with nails. Way, way, way worse than the YI. Literally, it feels like you are putting acid inside you to kill the yeast. Like, think this through before you do it. If it’s not effective, then I am going to sue. Going to the doctor tomorrow to see if there’s an alternative because I cannot live with this pain for the next two nights. Thought the lesser percentage would be better, but from these reviews, I can see it’s not. Going to turn off my light now and pray none of it comes out."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used Monistat 3 before, and it kind of cleared it up, but I had to use yogurt inserts for about two to three days to really help it go away. I then got another yeast infection a week or two later and bought Monistat 7 since I'm pregnant, and I was told that's my best option. It was crazy itchy after the first two days, but it got better, and the itch and pain are pretty much gone. I itch the slightest at times, and I worry, but maybe I'm being dramatic. I have one more day left, and it's done its job. If anything, some yogurt to help finish it off! I've had pretty good results for Monistat 3 and 7. Don't let the other comments scare you! It obviously doesn't work for a lot, or only the people who had negative comments wrote reviews."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve been using the cream externally just for one day now. In the morning, it was pretty uncomfortable and itchy, but it only lasted for 15 min or less. I put it on a second time that night, and the itch was nearly unbearable. Extreme discomfort to the point I didn't want to use it anymore. I’m super frustrated with how horrible this is. Even externally, it hurts to put on... don’t put yourself through this, even though it is convenient!"
