For Vaginal Yeast Infection "A few years ago I bought the Monistat, but in a small oval pill-looking thing that you insert, it worked out good. This time around I bought the cream, and OMG!!!! I had to Google if what was happening is normal. It was sooo itchy and still is. It is getting better, the burning/itching is so far inside I am going crazy!! Maybe my infection is a little more severe. I did see my doctor, but no medication was sent to the pharmacy from the office, so I needed to do something for the pain. I hope it gets better."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After 6 weeks on Doxycycline and Prednisone for pneumonia, I got a mild YI. First usage felt like someone had doused my lady bits in lighter fluid and stuck a grilling match up there. OMG, the burning and itching!!! Treatment 2, same thing. The burn and itch are insane!!! It feels as though Satan himself has taken up residence in my vagina and ripped my vaginal walls out to replace them with fire and brimstone. NEVER AGAIN!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my second time using this medication. The first time I used the three-day “egg” and felt nothing, no itching, no burning. This time, the cream, the SECOND this went in my vagina I wanted to hop in the shower and rinse it off. It burned so bad. I’m not sure if it’s because that’s how it feels when it’s fighting something or because the cream is more concentrated or what, but the burning only lasted about 10-15 minutes. The itching? Whole different ballgame. It STILL itches, I just used it about an hour ago and I want to drag myself on a carpet like a dog would. The packaging said “mild” itching, but in reality it’s hot itching, spicy as ghost pepper itching. More so than the original itch. This is ridiculous & the ointment that comes with it doesn’t help because the itching is IN the vagina, not ON the vulva. This is only the first day, so hopefully this just means that it’s working, but a word of advice- Do not get the cream with the applicators, just get the egg."

I only took 3, that was enough to know I had a darn YI, so I used some Monistat cream for the outside because of the itching. For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am currently on day 6, and it’s clearing up very nicely. When you first insert it, expect your Twa Twa to be on fire, and expect to itch a little every time you put it in. But it’s doing its job, and that’s clearing up the infection. I feel ten times better than what I did when I first found out I had a yeast infection, and remember patience is the key when using Monistat 7. If you want it gone quicker, then use Monistat 3 or Monistat 1, but from what I hear, you're going to burn a lot more with the stronger ones."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was absolutely horrid! I had the yeast infection for one night before I got the Monistat. That night I used Betadine to relieve the pain. It worked! The next morning I got the Monistat, determined to get rid of this. Night 2: I inserted it and immediately the itching pain was ridiculous. 100 times worse than the initial. I tried the cream and nothing helped, the burning was on the inside, and the cream doesn't go there. I tried my best to lay on my back and take it, but the pain was unbearable. After 15 minutes in, I had begun to cry. I couldn't take it any longer, I had to try and wash it out. I am so sore, and the itching and burning are still there, but the Betadine is helping. Monistat was the WORST decision I have ever made."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so I haven’t used this product in a long time, but I didn’t think I would feel the same awful itch like it was the first time. But the reason I rated it so high was because I remember it getting better throughout the week. It really does work, and I think it’s better than Vagisil because it heals so fast. But that’s my opinion, hope it helps!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my second time using this, but it is the first time using it while pregnant. My doctor recommended Monistat 7 this time, and you have no idea how I hate it but love it at the same time. The infection goes away instantly, but itching drives you nuts."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I applied it about 15 minutes ago, and this itch and burning is driving me insane. I keep squeezing my legs together and moving like I need to pee (but I don't). Even though this itching and burning is horrible, I've used this medicine in the past, and thank God it does cure the infection. If only there was no burning or itching, I would give it a 10 for sure. I thought I was allergic at first, but I'm glad to know I'm not alone. Hopefully, I get some decent sleep tonight."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my god, my vag is so itchy!! :( :( This is absolutely terrible and NOT worth the $20 bucks, even if it does work. Save your money, go to the gyno, and get oral meds. This is coming from someone who used to have chronic YI's for 4 years straight! My YI's stopped when I started taking probiotics daily, eating less (much less) sugar, and drinking a lot of water with ACV (apple cider vinegar). I always went to the gyno, and I'm so mad at myself for trying to save like $30-$40 bucks. I don't even understand how this is legal??? Like there are treatments that are oral that work and Boric Acid, but they ALL need prescriptions. So annoying!! Ugh, I hope my sleep aid kicks in soon. Never buying this again."

I jumped online to read side effects because I assumed something was horribly wrong with how I was feeling after I applied it. The burning and itching are so much worse than just dealing with the YI. For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, well, day one here. Inserted this stuff maybe 20 minutes ago. Holy freaking crap. The itching was unreal. I was itchy just a bit from my infection. This made the inside outside area itch like crazy. Oh my God. I felt like ripping my hair out! It's died down a bit now, but I feel a little burning, nothing too bad. I hope it stays that way. Glad I found these reviews. I didn't know what was going on. Mild increase of itching and burning? Lies. Hopefully, day two goes better. Never gone through this. I had one YI before this and got the pill. Now I'm 25 weeks pregnant and can't take it, so this is my only option. :( Wish me luck tomorrow isn't as miserable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I see people are saying never use this, but I feel the pain isn't bad. I started on Monday, and yes, the itching and burning, it’s pretty bad, that’s why it’s best to take it when you don’t plan on going anywhere. My burning and itching only lasted an hour or so, and after that, I felt nothing, and this was all on day one. I definitely don’t have a problem with this medicine, it was very helpful and is cheaper than a doctor's visit."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I remember using this Monistat 7 years ago, and I cannot remember it being this awful!!! The minute I inserted the cream on day 1, I felt it burning!!! It feels like your vagina is on fire on the inside, and the itching sensation is horrible. It went on for like 1 hour. I had to take a painkiller to try and alleviate this horrible pain/sensation. Now on day 2, the burning/itching sensation was still there, but only lasted for about 15 minutes. Not sure if I will have the guts to try for the next 5 days. Hard to believe that this is a normal side effect. I do not recommend this to anybody."

It burned, and an itch you cannot describe. Rolled on the floor trying not to scream. I contacted the company because they need to know what is happening. I encourage others to contact and let them know so they can review their product and ask for a refund."
