For Vaginal Yeast Infection "No clue how effective it is, but I just took it the first time, and I am DYING. I have never felt an itch like this before in my life. This is the most pain I have ever been in, hands down. I would rather live with a yeast infection every day forever than take this stuff. Can't speak to its effectiveness and don't really care."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had mild itch, so, like everybody else, bought the 7-day treatment. The first day I applied, and man, did it burn and itch. I just thought that it was because it was reacting to the yeast infection and it would only get better. Man, was I wrong! I am now on the 3rd day, and it feels just as worst as the 1st day after I insert the medicine. I can't do this for another 4 nights. Definitely stopping the medicine after today, I simply can't. The burning and itching is VERY uncomfortable and hurts. 10x worse than the itch during the day."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I read a lot on the medicine before taking it and asked my doctor about it as well. I am aware that the burning and itching are worse if you were scratching or rubbing the irritation of the infection before you got the medicine. When you do finally take the medicine, it'll cause burning and more itching for a few minutes, but it's only because it was irritated. And in some cases, if it's caught late, it'll cause the burning as well. Mine was caught early, luckily, and my godmom had given me advice on it, so I was aware I had it due to the itching, but I didn't scratch or rub it because she told me not to irritate it even more. I feel much better now."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have not had a YI in about 20 years. Since I know the symptoms, when I felt irritated and itchy down there, although I had no discharge, I figured it was a YI, and to get the Monistat 7 cream. 20 years ago, it was not available over the counter, only through prescription. The first night, within minutes, the burning and itching started, and I was extremely uncomfortable. After a few hours, it stopped. Tonight is Day 2, and after insertion, I have no itching or burning sensation like I did the first night. I will continue to use all of this product for the entire 7 nights. Actually, there is no reaction at all on night 2. I guess the medicine started working after the first night. Hang in there and give it a chance."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So despite reading these reviews, I had to still use it due to being pregnant. It did not burn me like these other women say. It did itch a little, but that just means it's working. Definitely not as bad for me as some people described it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wish I had read these reviews. I agree with many others that they must’ve used a new formula because my junk is literally on fire and itching so bad!! Ugh, I used to use this product and had no issues, but right now I’m half crying and just trying to get it the heck out of my body. I’ll be calling the FDA tomorrow and the Monistat company about the side effects and try to direct them to this post because wow, there’s a lot of us suffering from this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used Monistat 7 on multiple occasions, but it has probably been close to 20 years since I have done so. It always burned or itched a little more intensely right after application, but the good outweighed the bad, and overall it was definitely worth it. This time, I’m not so sure. I did the first application about 35 minutes ago, and I am absolutely about to lose my mind. The itch/burn is so intense that I don’t even know what to do with myself. I have been breathing as if I am in labor in an attempt to refrain from using a back scratcher on my vagina. My symptoms were at about a 3 or 4 on a scale of 1-10. I was going to knock this out early! I have had far worse in the past... if you are reading this before trying, DO NOT DO IT. ABORT MISSION!!! Go see your doctor and refuse to use this over-the-counter medication. Your vagina will thank you. As for me, it has now been about 50 minutes since I used it. The excruciating pain is now almost bearable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Day 1: intense burning where I literally wanted to place my whole hand into my vagina and rip it out. This lasted about an hour. Day 2: same as Day One. Day 3: no burning, surprisingly. Day 4: no burning but woke up an hour later with intense burning and itching, but nowhere near as bad as Day 1 & 2. Day 5: no burning. Day 6: no burning. Day 7: no burning. Each day of using Monistat, I had a weird fullness feeling against my cervix, but no pain. I read everywhere that the most common side effect is more burning and itching on this medication, but I think based on my experience the burning begins to resolve when it’s no longer trying to actively fight the yeast infection. I don't know if it’s worth it, as I would never want to go through this experience again, but if I had to, I would do the Monistat 1 and not the 7. But I do feel it works in resolving the infection as it is intended for."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm on day 3 of this product. The first two nights were horrible. The burning and itching was so bad I wanted to cry. It was an itch like I've NEVER felt! Worse than the yeast infection itself. But the reason for 6 stars instead of 1 is because I rarely have any itchiness during the daytime, and my discharge is back clear, so I think it's working. Will update on day 7."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is some of the worst pain of my life. DO NOT USE THIS! The inside of my vagina is itching so bad and burning. I took two showers and got a large amount of the cream out, but it has only helped relieve the pain slightly. An ice pack helped, but it's been an hour, and I feel like little people are running around my vagina wearing cleats. Took a Benadryl, so hopefully that'll let me rest finally. This medicine is 10x worse than the YI symptoms!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve been doing this treatment for only three days. Every night after I shower, I insert the cream. The first 15-20 minutes are the worst - burning, itching, and irritation. The first time I used this product, there was absolutely no pain, a little discomfort considering it was my first time. I don’t know why this is hurting so much, I’m going to research the ingredients to see what might be causing this. I’m experiencing the pain right now, it’s awful, I want to rinse it out."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have started using Monistat 7, and on the first day, it was pretty itchy for about an hour after insertion, but after that, I felt great. The next day, I felt like all the itchiness I’ve been feeling subsided. I am on night 3 now, and I’m feeling great. This stuff works wonders."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So yesterday I used a different brand 3-day treatment. About 15 minutes after insertion, I had to wash it out, the itching was very deep and unbearable. Today I started the Monistat 7, and it too was very itchy, not much burning but still a very deep, uncomfortable itch. It has been about 45 minutes now, and the itching has gone down a lot. I think I may be able to fall asleep!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used a generic brand, and it didn't help at all. This was the worst yeast infection I ever had. I still had intense itching and burning, so I bought this brand. The first time I inserted it, squatting down, and then I went to lay down. Wow, the itching and burning was intense. It was really bad for about an hour, and then I was able to fall asleep. After the second day, all symptoms were gone, but I still continued the treatment."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG!! I am speechless by how awful Monistat 7 is. I had no idea to come and look for these reviews, otherwise, I wouldn't be missing out on quality sleep to write this review. I have a high pain tolerance and rarely experience side effects to any meds or creams I take, but this was completely different. Immediately after inserting the cream into my vagina, my whole world was on fire. My YI has a mild itching sensation, but this was so bad that I couldn't tell if it was itching or burning. I felt stupid, as if I intentionally allowed fire ants to crawl in there. After thirty minutes of EXTREME discomfort and no relief, I tried my best to wash all of the cream away. My vagina is now red and irritated, and I have been unable to rest tonight. Ladies, please try oral relief if you don't have a prescription."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I’m only on day two, but I believe it is working. I am reading a lot of bad reviews, and some of them I have experienced in the past. A couple of years ago, when I got my first YI, I tried Monistat and felt such an intense burning I thought I was allergic to it, just like so many other medications I can’t have. I haven’t tried it again since, but when I tried to make an appointment with my local gyno and they told me I won’t be able to get an appointment until January, I immediately went and bought some of this. This time, I laid down and fully inserted the applicator into my vagina. I made sure to get ready for bed prior to doing this so I didn’t have to get back up. I have no pain, maybe a mild itching, but that was there prior. The first time I did this, I was standing up and didn’t put it far enough in and also walked around after. I highly recommend making sure you’re laid down and stay that way when you use it to minimize reaction."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve had yeast infections before, but I’ve usually used another brand. The one that gives you that suppository egg that you insert overnight. And usually that works fine. But I was in a pinch, couldn’t get to the store I usually go to, and got the Monistat 7. The first day was perfectly fine, I didn’t feel burning or itching. Not uncomfortable at all. The second night though, oh man, that was bad. I was nauseous from how itchy this cream was making me. It’s day three and as I write this, it’s making me itch again. Definitely not as bad as day two. I read a bunch of reviews on here saying that means it’s working, but oh my lord. This itch is worse than the one I had because of the yeast infection. Hopefully in four days, there will be results because this is awful. Don’t stop your treatment!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first day, and I'm about 30 minutes in. I had an intense itching inside my vagina for the first 20 minutes, but now that's completely subsided. And I actually had no burning. Thank goodness. A lot of reviews said patience is key. I'm just going to wait it out and hopefully it works!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omg! I was not expecting this outcome at all! It definitely will make your lady parts itch hardcore! I hear that’s normal, but oh man, that first 15 minutes was intense! It has been 35 minutes already, and I can feel some itching down there, but not as bad as when I first applied the cream. I’m hoping it’s helping, and by day 3 it will feel better! Any irritation down there isn’t going to feel good with any product. Stay strong, ladies!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Please do not buy this product. I haven’t had a yeast infection in years, and I forgot the havoc this medicine wreaks on your body. The itching and burning was so intense upon insertion that I wanted to crawl out of my skin. Regardless of how bad your infection was, I guarantee this medicine will make you feel worse."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "+1000 to all the other ladies with fire ants currently residing in their nether regions. I've been battling a yeast infection for a month, and on the recommendation of my doctor's office, am trying Monistat 7 for the first time. Five minutes after inserting it, I literally leaped from my bed, ran to my bathroom, and started itching my vagina like a mad woman. It's the most guttural instinct I've ever had. Thanks to these reviews, though, I'm gutting it out with my teeth grinding and laying flat in bed, praying for the fire to die down. Godspeed to all of you. I hope days two and three aren't this bad."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Absolutely horrible!! Do not waste your money. I’m no stranger to yeast infections, but I’m usually prescribed the pill. Due to pregnancy, I decided to try Monistat 7 as recommended, and it only increased the burn and itch! Never will I use it again. I recommend clotrimazole 7. I felt relief within the first day."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a yeast infection for the past 3 days. I went to my doctor, and he gave me the one-time pill that usually relieves symptoms in 24 hours. It didn't, so I bought Monistat 7. I did exactly as the instructions said and waited to insert it before bed. I lay down immediately after, and instantly the itching was intensifying by the second. I had a burning sensation. I'm in tears, rolling back and forth in bed. I took a shower and tried to push the rest out, and it helped, but it definitely didn't go away. I work at 6 am, and it's almost 12 am. Wish me luck! I am never using this product again if my life depended on it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omg lol - the itching and burning is out of control. I'm on day 1, and goodness gracious, I can't take it. I read all the comments lol, some were funny and some were not. Day 1 is driving me crazy, but I can say I can feel it stopping as we speak - that was the most horrible feeling ever. I don't wish this on my worst enemy. This is only my second time getting a YI... the first time I got it, I was pregnant, and now, 8 years later, it's happening again... so this is my 2nd time using m7, and yes, things are worse before they get better... it does, in fact, work..."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This product is horrible. You would think that after applying this cream you would feel at least somewhat better and at ease, well, that's not the case here. It made my lady parts burn and itch to the point where I couldn't take it anymore and had to take a shower for 40 minutes, and I'm still in discomfort! And no, it does not feel better after 3 hours. Yes, your symptoms of the YI improve, but I'm telling you it's not worth it!"
