For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First time I got a yeast infection due to the fact that I'm 3 months pregnant, and it wasn't too bad. Yes, the Monistat did burn and itch, but it wasn't so bad. I didn't even know I had a yeast infection until my OB told me, and I decided to treat it right away, even though I didn't really have many symptoms. The first 2 nights I felt the itching and burning, but by the 3rd day, I felt a lot better. I wanted to stop, but I read it's better to continue it, so I finally finished the medication today. So, ladies, it really works, you just have to be able to bear through it and take it like a champ. You will be much happier once you're pain-free and the yeast infection is completely gone."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I've tried Monistat 7 twice, and the first time I got a slight burn and itch, but the second time I got nothing. I do apply at bed, but for some reason, when I get up to pee, it comes out. I don't know if that is normal or not, but I would like to let everyone know that the burning and itch is normal, especially the itching, that's showing you that the Monistat is working. Now, the burning comes from the inflamed vagina that's irritated due to the YI. I don't know why you ladies think something is wrong with the product, it's definitely not the product. I would definitely use it again, it does help a lot, especially when you can't get into the doctors right away... but I suppose it really is determined by how much pain each person is in."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First night of using Monistat 7 was extremely uncomfortable; after inserting the cream, it started to tingle, and it felt a bit disturbing. But then it started to feel itchy inside, then the burning started, and OMG it was unbearable. I wish I could have washed it out of my vagina. I had to stick it out but was afraid to even insert the second dose."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I bought the Monistat 7 day pack. The first two days were not bad, but man, day three was the worst! Day three, I inserted the cream, and within 30 minutes, I felt unbearable burning and itching, like OMG! I attempted to try and go to sleep because I thought when I woke up, everything would be fine. The pain was so bad I couldn't even go to sleep. It got so bad my hands started shaking, and I almost cried! On a scale from 1 to 10, my pain went from 0 to 100 real quick! And it's crazy because the first two nights I inserted the cream, by morning I knew it had started to work because I continued to feel better both mornings, but day three had me never wanting to take Monistat again, like they should seriously remove this product off the shelves."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "(DO NOT WAIT UNTIL WEEKS LATER TO SELF-DIAGNOSE OR IT WILL BURN) I noticed my vagina getting swollen on night one. Night two, the itching was UNBEARABLE, and I couldn’t sleep, so I made my husband run to the drugstore to get me Monistat 7. I inserted it during the day, so I had to lay down for the remainder of the day. Once I inserted it, the itching intensified, the burning not so much. Since the application can get messy, wipe any excess leakage away from my lady bits, and it helps. Hopefully, I never experience the burning. I have used this medication multiple times and never experienced intense burning *knocks on wood*."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first day it is very itchy, and the second day it was bearable. On day three, I was itching inside as well. The remainder of the four days were a tad bit better. There was still itching, but I knew that by day five my yeast infection was gone. The cooling wipes helped a little too. It was worth the pain that I went through. Ladies, hang in there if you can!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Really wish I would have read the reviews before I bought it. The most horrible experience ever! First and last time using it! I hate medicines that are counterproductive. Before I started taking this, I merely was uncomfortable, and now I have full-on pain. The itch is unbearable. I had to attempt to wash it out, but even that didn't fully work. Moral of the story... always read the reviews."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I just bought Monistat 7. Generally, I never had any problems, but the minute I inserted the cream, 5 to 10 minutes later, I started itching and burning like crazy. It was worse than before, something ain't right about this Monistat 7. I'm surprised they don't have a lawsuit against them."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm 18 years old, and I had never had a yeast infection in my life until recently. I was experiencing itching first and then the burning, and it hurt terribly to walk. My mom told me to get Monistat 7, and immediately after the first dose, there was an increase in burning and itching, but I applied aloe vera around the outside of my vagina (vulva) and took ibuprofen for relief. After 3 days of taking Monistat, my infection had cleared up completely. I haven't fulfilled the full 7 days, but I'm very happy with Monistat."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "First night using Monistat 7, burning like lava. Yesterday I had intense itching but didn't have the cream. Today the itching was almost gone, and I bought the medicine. I don't feel any itching, just immense burning sensation. I can handle it, but it's very uncomfortable and painful. Die fungus, die literally."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I read everyone’s reviews about it burning and itching, and I decided to try this product for myself as I am pregnant and that’s the medicine my doctor recommended. I was so scared due to all these reviews, but I tried it and it’s not that bad. It really hasn't burned that bad, maybe I have a better pain tolerance or it affects everyone differently. I don’t know, lol. There’s a small burn and itch, but it’s not unbearable to the point where I'm crying, and it only lasts 30 minutes. After that, the pain and itching is gone. I felt so much relief after using this product, the 30 minutes of discomfort was definitely worth it. I just had to suck it up for thirty minutes."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Yeah, Monistat itches and burns for about 10 minutes after inserting, but worth it! The 7-day stuff knocks the infection out, that's why they say to apply it at night at bedtime. The next day you will have epic relief. Do all 7 days, otherwise, it might come back."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm so used to seeing comments from like 3 years ago that when everyone kept saying bad batch, I was like, well, that doesn't make sense for why I'm feeling the same unbearable itching and burning. Then I noticed the date of the posts, all within the last few weeks. So maybe it totally is a bad batch because I would remember if it had burned and itched this much last time. I'm dying. I have been trying to distract myself, but I have no idea what happened in the episode of the TV show I watched. Then I tried to read a chapter of my book (which is my ritual before bed and usually puts me right to sleep). I have been reading the same paragraph for the last hour because I literally can't focus on the words because of the itching."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have a mild yeast infection that I’ve been dealing with for about 3 days now. Taking a shower and simply running water on my vagina actually helped relieve the irritation. Tonight I decided to use M7, thinking it may get rid of the lingering yeast. I showered, and after about 5 minutes of applying the application, I was so annoyed at how uncomfortable I was that I decided to take another shower! The itching and irritation were 10 times worse than the little I was already dealing with. Not sure if it was because the cream was working and killing off the yeast or what, but I did not like the way it felt! So annoying!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wanted to write a 10-star review, so hopefully people will view it. The itching stated by everyone is indeed as bad as they say! My advice is to keep still for as long as you can bear (personally, I couldn’t even do a full 10 minutes). I then rinsed it out and then applied some tea tree oil mixed with coconut oil. Tea tree oil is antiviral and antifungal and can be a perfect home remedy anyway! But the sting of the oil numbs out the severe itch from the medicine in no time. Yeast infections shouldn’t go untreated, and I’m sure if used at the first sign, Monistat would be just perfect. Don’t knock it till you try it, your body is going through something, and yeah, it might hurt a little to get rid of it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was horrible! I had the infection for about 3 days until I could get the cream and started it tonight. I put it in, and in less than a minute felt the horrible itching and burning like everyone else. It was so bad I took it out and washed after less than five minutes. I will not be using this ever again, and I will be telling my pharmacist about this. DO NOT BUY THIS, IT IS THE WORST FEELING EVER."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "All of these reviews about the burning and itching are totally 100% true. After about 5 minutes of inserting the applicator, here comes the uncontrollable burning sensation. I mean, it was TERRIBLE. I was in tears. I laid in bed for as long as I could before I had my husband bring me a warm towel to wipe it off. But yet it continued to burn for about an hour. I finally was able to fall asleep. The next morning, I woke up with no itching or burning. I want to continue to use this product and follow through with the full treatment, but that first time was so uncomfortable I'm scared to try it again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first night I used it, it burned so bad I couldn't even sleep. I was in tears, and I tried to wash it out in a bath, and to no avail, I was completely red-faced, miserable, crying. I could barely walk with such intense burning. But by the second day, it was almost all cleared up! Just mild itching! So stick with it for the full 7 days! By day two, I had almost 0 discharge (mostly just the cream coming back out). I'm on night 3 now, and penetration of the application tube doesn't hurt anymore, but I still have mild itching. Hopefully, by day 7, I'll be good to go!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "At first, I ignored it because I assumed it was working and fighting the yeast, but a minute or two after inserting the applicator filled with cream inside my vagina, it started to burn. It was burning, stinging, and itching all at the same time very badly. My vagina felt like it was on fire. I wiped some of the product out of me, but it is still burning. I have used Monistat in the past, but I have never had this issue. Have they changed something in the formula?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wish I had a time machine so I could rewind to an hour ago and read these reviews first. My vagina is on fire!!!! I wasn’t sure if I had a yeast infection, but I’ve had itching and burning the past few days, so I picked this up hoping for some relief. Now I’m laying here praying for the sweet release of pain. I tried to tolerate it, but after ten minutes I couldn’t take it anymore and washed it off. Then I got up in there with a mirror and my vagina is red. Like fire engine red. And so, so swollen, and the itching and burning is unreal. Please, let the tale of my burning red vagina be your red flag. Run far away from this aisle and never return."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was told by my doctor that I had a mild yeast infection, and they only had given me two pills for it. I resorted to using Monistat to finish the job. I’ve been using this for four days now, and I’m not having any issues. I do have to point out that the package says, “may increase itching and burning,” and on the first day I was itching a decent amount 5 minutes after I used it, and for 10 minutes the next morning. But it wasn’t excruciating, and it was easy to ignore. Luckily, I never had any pain whatsoever. It says to lay down once you insert the cream, so if you get up, walk around, or go to the bathroom, then that may cause leakage and problems. Also, I suggest wearing panty liners when using this cream because it comes out throughout the day. But as far as I’m aware, my yeast infection is completely gone after 4 days of the cream! It does its job. Maybe me taking the tablets first made my experience better than most."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm 6 months pregnant and this is the first time I got a yeast infection. My stupid doctor didn't give me any instructions, I just used Vagisil for the itching for a week. Finally, she told me to use an anti-fungal cream, so I tried Monistat. After you insert it, the suffering is monumental. OMG. I put it in right before bed and lay on my back with my knees up for about 15 minutes. I swear it felt like my insides were on fire. On top of that, the entire area feels so itchy. It's so intense. I've never felt anything that uncomfortable. I'm giving it 8/10 because the next day the entire infection had really reduced, and it kept getting better really quick. But every night I used it, the intense burning, itching, crappy feeling lasted a good 15 minutes."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It is my first time to use Monistat 7, and I will never EVER buy this product again. I have tried another Monistat when I was pregnant but forgot which one, that is why I ended up with this. Right now I’m still breastfeeding, that is why I am using this brand, otherwise, I will use Canesten. This is torture. The fact that I have an infection is bad enough, but this one is burning and itching 20 times more that I had to wash down using ice-cold water. If you aren’t pregnant or breastfeeding, spare yourself from this pain."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So the previous reviews are true! The first day using the cream was awfully itchy and irritating for about 30 minutes. The second day was not bad at all, with just very subtle bursts of itchiness, and the third day (today), I didn't feel anything! I put off treating my yeast infection for too long, and enough was enough. I am sure that the itching/burning is just the infection being killed. Hang in there, ladies!"
