For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I started getting the usual YI symptoms and wanted it to be gone as soon as possible. Read up that Monistat was a faster way than the pill. Let me just say, I WISH I just called for the pill. I used the Monistat 1 and everything seemed fine, but then about an hour later, my hooha was on FIRE. The symptoms seemed like 10x worse than they were!!! Ugh, it’s the worst pain! It’s been about 5 hours and it’s STILL burning. So uncomfortable, so annoying. I wanted to go to the ER, but then I found these reviews and I really wish I saw them before I purchased. I’m going to give it till morning and I’m hoping it’ll go away, but I don’t know how I can even get through another hour! It’s an easy process, the pain is just not worth it. Definitely DO NOT recommend. Get the pill!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had the same experience as most people. It is a for sure trust the process situation. I was on antibiotics and always get a YI after it. So I started with the 7-day because that was all they had overseas. When I got back, I just wanted it to go away, so I picked up the one-day. I put it in at 10 pm. Right away, it had a burning sensation and itching. I made myself fall asleep. Was woken up again to use the bathroom at 3 am and it started again. Took some ibuprofen and watched some TV to fall back asleep, and by morning, when I woke up, I felt completely fine and was about 90% recovered. So trust the process if you can take it!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wanted to cry and die and was yelling, putting cold water on my stuff. :) If you’re down for that, go for it! Don’t do it if you won’t be able to stand the itch and burn, cause I couldn’t for sure."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, this is my second time using Monistat. The first time, I had the cream, and it was so uncomfortable, but it worked after a week, and that was like 4 years ago. Now, this second time, I had made my mind up that I was going to try a home remedy, so I used apple cider vinegar, and that relieved the burning and itching. But I didn't feel like it was getting better quickly enough, so I just ended up buying the ovule pack, and I must say it's getting better. I had no problem with the insert, it was just the cream that you applied for the itching and burning. Oh my goodness, it burns, but remember, that's just because it's working. I feel so much better."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had a yeast infection for about 4 days when I decided to try Monistat one last time. I had used it in the past with the burning and itching, but it was mild. Holy on fire vagina!!! It feels like I used a firebrand as a tampon! They have had to change the formula. I had level 3 endometriosis and a child through natural childbirth, and this stuff is right up next to those pains. After 30 min, I was on fire and in so much pain! Put the box down, ladies. Call a clinic or go to your Dr and just get the yeast infection medicine - this stuff is not worth it! If you're like me and Googling 'is this normal' or 'will I die,' and you've already inserted the little bead from hell, grab an ice pack and breathe through it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've had a yeast infection for a week, and let me tell you, it felt better before the so-called 'maximum strength ovule' vag insert. My God. It burns so bad. The cream does nothing to stop the burning or itching, and both actually make it so much worse. The A&D cream I used worked better than this because it actually stopped the burning and itching. I absolutely regret using this. Please, for the love of God, it's only been an hour, and it burns so bad, I want to cry. Please do NOT use this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It works... but I think the yeast infection needs to be almost severe. The suppository was easy to use and no burning, just satisfaction. There was no smell or burning during my yeast infection stage, just itching and lots of discharge. The cream for the vulva soothed the itching instantly!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Worst pain of my life! I inserted the Monistat tablet and literally in 20 minutes, I felt severe burning and itching. The cream made the burning worse. It itches and burns so bad I don’t know what to do with myself! I’d rather have a YI any day! Don’t use this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used Monistat in the past. I get YI's after antibiotics. Normally, it's such a relief to start the medication. This time, I immediately felt like my vagina was on fire. Agony. I took out what I could and tried again with a generic 3-day cream and have relief. No pain. I think this was a bad batch because this has never happened to me before, and I always use the Monistat 1 day."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be after reading the comments. Everyone is different, we have different reactions. I chose the one day, thinking the faster the better, and I’d used the three-day pack previously years ago. So I used the ovule and THEN read the reviews. Honestly, I was terrified. But I’m a CNA (certified nursing assistant) and know that with a yeast infection suppository treatment, there can be burning and itching, depending on your body and the severity of the infection. I noticed a warm feeling about an hour after I put it in, but it wasn’t terrible. When the burning and slight itch got uncomfortable, I used a Vagisil cream for sensitive skin, DON'T use the one provided with the kit. So this is the night after I took it, I feel like most of the medicine has absorbed or discharged, and my infection seems to feel better. So far, it seems to be working."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used the Monistat one-day product, felt the burning and itching within 30 minutes. I was in the library studying and literally had to leave so I could go home and shower. I tried to get it out, but it is virtually impossible, so I guess I will just have to wait it out. The ease is not worth the side effects, go to a doctor and have something, ANYTHING other than this prescribed."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am pregnant and found out I had a YI, so I brought Monistat 1, and at first, when I inserted the ovule, I was fine. Then about 30 minutes to an hour later, I had to pee, and I noticed the ovule had begun to melt, and some was coming out. Then right after that, my vagina began to itch and burn like fire! It hurts so bad I cannot even explain, nor can I sleep! A cold towel down there makes it feel a bit better, but not completely. I mean, after reading the reviews, I won't purchase again! It's horrible. I want to rip my vag off!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ugh, ugh, ugh! I got this thinking it would help with my yeast infection, but oh my lord, I'm dying here. I honestly want to cry. The burning and itching are almost unbearable. I have no clue how to make it stop. I took what was left of the oval thing out, wiped with a cold wet cloth, attempted to rinse off with water, and I'm still experiencing itching and burning. Should have just gone to the doctor. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! SAVE YOURSELF! IF NOT MONEY, THEN PAIN!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had a mild YI and decided to get the 1-day to expedite the process and did not want to visit my doctor due to COVID restrictions. Purchased the 1-day and used it at bedtime. I’m currently up at 2:36 am in pain from the burning and itching sensation. Definitely will never use this product again. I’m currently lying in bed with a cold washcloth on my lady parts to soothe the burning. Will never use this product again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This cream is horrible! I had a bit of burning in my vagina, so I decided to buy this cream. In less than 20 minutes, my vagina felt as if it had acid, like when you put lemon in an open wound, so I started to put ice water to clean the cream. I had to get in a bath with cold water to wash out the cream, I put ice and calmed down a bit. DO NOT BUY THIS CREAM!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "For me, I've had yeast infections that burned and itched on the inside and outside. Then I put this ovule Monistat in. It's the best, it melts inside, and you want to put it deep in there. Yes, it really burns, but it's like a good soothing burn. I like how it feels, like warm, but it's soothing. By morning, you should feel relief. And the next few days, I'll put Vagisil, the cream, on the outside just to be sure it's calmed down, it helps with the soreness. Really works!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had no idea the reviews on this product were so negative. That was until I used it, and just like everyone else, here I sit with dramatically increased itching and burning. Now in the bath trying to soothe my vagina and distract myself from, at best, a very uncomfortable and at worst, truly painful experience. This sucks. Medicine should not make your symptoms worse! Why hasn’t the manufacturer changed the formula?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Whew, honey! Yes, this medication burns! If you're like me and used the medication and now you're up in the middle of the night reading reviews about the burning sensation, you're not alone. I figured this would be cheaper than paying the co-pay to see my doctor and then paying for whatever insurance won't cover for the medication the doctor would prescribe, which is true, Monistat-1 is the cheaper option... but I don't think it's worth it!! Would have much rather gone to my OBGYN and gotten the 1-day pill and had to pay a little more. I put this in around 10 PM, and from about Midnight to 1:15 AM, I tried to tough it out, but I couldn't handle it anymore. It didn't cause me to rock back and forth or cry, but it definitely feels like someone is dripping millions of drops of boiling hot water on your vagina. I wiped some out with cold water, and the burning has calmed down."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Honestly, do not know how I got a yeast infection, but as soon as I saw the weird discharge, I knew. I put the Monistat in around 11 a.m., and it did start to burn, but then I just put external cream and used the cooling wipes, and I was good. It's about 8 p.m., and I've had discharge, and it doesn't smell or itch anymore. I would recommend it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Typically, I take the pill, but because of COVID, I could not see the doc right away, so I went to the good ol’ Wally World and bought Monistat once again. This time, I got Monistat 1 Triazole and Monistat 1 Miconazole combo pack. I tried the Triazole first, had no issues, and my symptoms improved greatly the next morning. But my stupid ass figured I’d also try the Miconazole combo pack 2 nights later to make sure the yeast was gone. Well, I made it worse!! At 3:30, I woke up with intense itching, burning, and pain, and after washing and using warm compresses, I was able to fall back to sleep around 4:30 am with a wet towel between my legs, no underwear or PJs made it feel better for some reason. I woke up feeling better but still itchy and irritated worse than before! I’d stick to the pill or try an antifungal that works best with your vag. Mine had no issues with the Triazole. Also, the stores should just sell the pill, it should not be a damn prescription!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you ever want to know how it feels to have an actual fire in your loins, this medicine will give you that experience. I've used this before with no problem, I don't know what happened, but now I'm lying awake in bed with the most intense burning/itching sensation I've ever experienced. This is awful. If you love your vagina and your sanity, do not use this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought this today for my yeast infection, and first only used the cooling wipes and the itching cream, and it was great. The cream worked wonders, and the cooling wipes were alright. Then I decided, once I got home this afternoon, to insert the ovule. Worst decision I've ever made. Within an hour, I first began to feel extreme itching. Then that turned to burning. The worst pain I have EVER felt. The medicine in the ovule just kept coming out as discharge. I'm still in an insane amount of pain hours after, slightly reduced though. I took a bath and now have ice on my vagina. Definitely never using this product again!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I haven't had a yeast infection in about 10 years, but I had them in the past and always used Vagisil. This time, a friend suggested Monistat. I did not experience immediate pain like the other reviewers, but about an hour or so after I inserted the ovule and put the cream on, it started coming out. Not only was it gushing out, but I was itching and burning like crazy! I washed all of the topical cream off because I thought it had melted and spread everywhere. I was almost in tears several times today because it burns so bad and the itching is unbearable! I was barely itching and had no burning or discharge before taking it. I could smell the yeast and knew from past history what the antibiotics do to me, so I called myself being proactive. DON'T USE."
