For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Thank you a million times to all you other ladies who posted! 2100 hour inserted ovulation and went to bed. 0015 awoke to burning, urgent need to pee. Soooooo tender!!! Had to use a damp washcloth to blot myself dry, the thought of wiping with toilet paper was frightening. 0020 - 0200 burning increased, it started to spread backwards as the lava flowed out...ahhh, the burning there as well! 0200 up and looking at side effects/reviews. 0210 in the shower doing squats to push out any remaining medication. Cool water and mild soap. Gentle blotting to dry. 0235, in my kitchen sitting on a wonderful ice pack! THANK YOU ALL FOR POSTING! I thought I would have to go to the ER for this horrible reaction."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh, what a relief! I treated BV with antibiotics and got a one dose of fluconazole to treat yeast after BV. And that did nothing to me, I was so uncomfortable, I inserted Monistat 1 during the day! The leakage wasn’t bad, but what a relief I feel 24 hours later. No burning whatsoever. If you have a bad yeast infection, this medicine does magic!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Terrible! It made everything worse. I ended up with blisters, it burned me so bad. I had to wash it off as soon as I could. Not sure why I thought it would be a good idea to use this product. It should be taken off the shelves."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I, of all people, have the highest tolerance to pain. I’ve had a YI before and used Monistat 3-day cream. Fine. Well, I thought, hey... a few years later, I have one again - quick pace it and use Monistat 1. NOOOOOOOOO!! Burns intense. I attempted to handle it. Nope. Attempted to remove the most (someone mentioned tampons). And now I have an ice pack between there. Lord, I’m hoping it’ll be better by tomorrow - this is the worst. I can easily laugh getting a tattoo, apparently, injecting this stuff up your crotch is worse. Smh."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Without doing any research, I picked up the Monistat 1, hoping I could find some relief after taking a Diflucan and it not working. Now it’s 3 am, and I have ice packs in between my legs trying to resolve the burning and itching this medicine caused. I took a shower and put the ovule in, and everything was fine. I was laying in bed and got up to make food when the medication started leaking, and once it hit the outside, I was in awful pain, burning and itching. It was CONSTANT and would not stop. I tried washing it all out, but now I’m in bed trying to find relief still. DO NOT BUY."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I started showing some signs of a YI on Monday, the 6th, grabbed a Monistat 1, as I have done a few times before and thought nothing of it. I ran out to see a friend and came back in. I rushed to the bathroom due to a burning sensation and knew something was wrong when all the medication was in my shorts. Went to my PCP on Thursday and she didn’t do an exam, just prescribed an antibiotic. After two more days of complete discomfort, primarily when I urinated, it felt like death. I was in tears just about every time I went. Went to the ER where they diagnosed me with herpes, this couldn’t be true because neither my husband nor I have been with other people in our 5-year relationship. Got tested, all negative results. Never will I use this again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, damn, I wish I would have read this before. Someone mentioned birthing fire, and I would have to agree. I feel like I took the Walmart version before, and I never experienced this. I remember a friend of mine taking Monistat, and it burned really bad for her, but I thought, oh, I’ll be fine... boy, was I wrong. About 10 minutes after inserting the egg, I was burning and itching. I made the mistake of getting up, and I felt like I was punched in the vag with a white hot branding iron. I took a shower immediately. Luckily, I have a detachable shower head, and I tried hard to clear it all out. I know it’s not completely gone because it still burns, but it doesn’t itch, and it’s nothing like it was before. I also took a Vagisil anti-itch wipe and doused it with witch hazel, and it’s currently resting on my bits. I also have an ice pack and took a pain pill. I’m praying it’ll be better tomorrow. I'm just wondering if anyone knows why it does this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Absolutely awful. I wish I would’ve read reviews first. The first 30 minutes with the ovule was okay, now I’ve been in tears on my bathroom floor for over an hour with burning and itching that’s unbearable. Never again will I use any of their products. I don’t even care about the money spent, I wouldn’t wish the way this feels on my worst enemy. Don’t use it. Save yourself."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Y'all are scaring me! Lol. I've never had a yeast infection. I got it after taking an antibiotic for a recent oral surgery. I wanted a quick solution without having to go to the doctor during Covid. I inserted the pill about 4 hours ago. I went to run errands and noticed slight burning, but nothing crazy. I am typically super sensitive to topicals (I use sensitive soaps, etc.), so I hope this doesn't get worse as the night goes on - will keep you all updated."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I really wish I would have read these reviews before I tried this awful product, which was probably formulated and approved by men. I had a mild infection, just slight itching and irritation, so I figured I’d try Monistat 1 first before making a big deal out of it and to avoid racking up medical bills... Boy, was that the wrong decision. I inserted what I now assume to be the awful lava egg into my vagina at 11:30 pm. I fell into a deep sleep shortly after, only to wake up out of my slumber at 3:33 am in excruciating pain. The itchiness, irritation, and burning were now 1,000 times worse! I thought this stuff was supposed to help, not torture me! It felt like Lucifer himself unlocked the fiery gates of hell inside me. And there was nothing I could do to soothe it. I didn’t sleep at all, and I’ve been using ice packs and cold washcloths, but it barely helps. It’s now 9 am, and I’m not sure I can go to work today."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Just do not do it. Get anything else. If you’re at the store and all they have is this, walk away and go to another store. It’s not worth it. I put this ball of fire into myself at 11:30 and then woke up with extreme itching and a burning sensation at 4 a.m. I could not fall back asleep because it was so intense. Eventually, I passed out from exhaustion around 6:30. Although I woke up feeling much better, my vagina still has a slightly sore sensation. I think it cured the infection though? Just don’t do it, girl."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I tried to cure a yeast infection with probiotics and eating tons of yogurt. By the time I gave up, I was 10 days in and miserable. So, I went the 'nuclear' route - 1 day Monistat. Like other reviewers, I've used it (and survived) in the past, but this time was much different. Immediately, there was burning and itching worse than the yeast infection. However, I thought, if it works, it's worth it. Four days later, I'm still itching and burning like crazy. The cream that comes with it burns even more, and cortisone cream is not touching it either. Now I'm not sure what to do. Try another product and inflame it more, or wait and see?"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the second time in my life of having a YI from antibiotics. The first time I used this product, it worked great. This time, I'm on day four, and I'm still itching and burning like crazy. It's 3 am, I can't sleep. Seriously, about to shove some ice in there! What the hell!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It burned like heck, and quite frankly, I think it made me feel worse! I haven’t had a YI in years, so I got the M1 thinking it would clear things up quickly. Three days later, and I’m still irritated. Going to my doctor tomorrow for sure! Don’t buy this stuff, it’s awful!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS. Do NOT use this product!!!!! My symptoms went from an annoying itch to full-on vaginal BURNING. Like I had poured hot sauce into my vagina. I took a mirror to check my vagina later that day and realized that I was totally inflamed and red, realized it gave me a chemical burn! I went to urgent care that day, and the doctor could not even get a speculum in to get a culture! I started bawling on the table from the pain. I got a Rx for Diflucan & steroids and went on my way, prayed things would get better. Thank GOODNESS they have! My recommendation: get all this product out as much as you can. It will be okay. I am five days out and my crazy burning symptoms went away the day after I began taking oral antifungals + steroids + got out what I could, my yeast infection is just about almost gone at this point (5-6 days out)."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG, normally I would read the reviews before trying a new product. Usually, when I get a YI, I use the 3-day treatment and have never had a problem. When I first inserted the egg, everything was fine. I guess when the egg started to melt, all hell broke loose. The itching got so unbearable I had to get the product out. Now that I've gotten the product out, I'm left with a burning sensation. I do not recommend this product to anyone."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my very first YI. I'm 16, and about 20 minutes after putting the bead in, I'm getting lots of discharge, which means it's working, I think. But it also has begun to burn and itch a bit, so I go for the anti-itch cream and put it on... it immediately is making the burning and itching way more intense. I take a shower because I couldn't stand the feeling. It is still just as bad, so I thought I jumped, maybe it was the cream that made it worse. I put the cream back on, and it is just a little bit more intense. I've been trying to stick it out the past 20 minutes, but it hurts so bad. Would not recommend."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So... it’s been about 7 years since I’ve last had a YI. This one is pretty mild, so I figured I’d get the M-1 to clear it up quickly. This was NOT the best choice AT ALL!!!!! The ovule insert was fine until I went to the bathroom. I could feel the medicine oozing, and it burned a bit. Once I put the cream on, though... that’s when the fire-breathing dragons came! GOSH!!!!! This cream shouldn’t be given with the M-1 at all!!!!! I have an ice pack between my legs now, and it’s really not helping in any way... I would have been better off letting the YI run its course and clear up on its own... utter misery."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not use!!!! I ended up in tears and had a panic attack in the shower. It put me in so much pain. The burning is worse than the internal tearing I had when I had my first baby. I'm raw and can barely move. I'm now in bed, still in pain with an ice pack on my vagina. Worst decision of my life, and I'm being completely serious."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used Monistat 1 Day multiple times in the past. First time ever using it, yes, my vaginal area was on fire! I wanted to rip my entire section down there out. But the weird thing about Monistat is, or it could be the severity of my YI, every experience was different for me. There were times where, after using Monistat 1 Day for my YI, my infection quickly turned into BV (on two occasions), and at other times, I had just a mild burning sensation, others, no symptoms at all. I think the product is most definitely doing its job when there's severe burning and itching, but I absolutely believe it depends on you too and the severity of your YI. If you had one bad experience with it, I highly suggest getting the oral pill prescribed by your doctor instead."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I didn’t have a bad experience like most of these reviews. I didn’t read these reviews until after I had already inserted the ovule and was laying in bed about to sleep, so I started panicking a bit when I saw that most of these reviewers experienced a horrible burning and itching sensation. I decided to keep it in because I didn’t want to waste it and hoped it actually wouldn’t be that bad. There was a warm, tingling sensation about 30 mins after insertion, but I was able to sleep like normal. And when I woke up, I was completely fine. I had read a review on another website that suggested if you are active and walking around after inserting it, the medication will cause those reactions if it touches the outside of your vagina, so it is best if you insert the ovule high up inside your vagina and remained still. I did that, and I also kept my hips elevated on a pillow while I slept to help keep the medication up inside."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was my first time having a yeast infection. I'm 18 years old, so I was scared of what to use because of all the other comments. I had discharge and occasional itchiness. So I got the 1-day less-mess version of Monistat, and it worked so well. I used it at 5:30. I didn’t experience any burning or itching like all the other comments say! There was a slight warm feeling about 30 minutes later, but nothing extreme at all! And most importantly, it fixed the problem!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh, the pain and agony! Inserted the meds at 8 and applied the cream. After just minutes, the burning and itching started, but it was tolerable. It's now midnight, and I'm in absolute agony. It burns and itches so bad. I actually used some diaper wipes to remove some of the cream, so it's not as bad right now. All I can say is, for the pain and torture I've been put through, this had better work well!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "For all that is holy, my YI has never hurt me as much as this jalapeño whoha has. It feels like my vagina has bred the new hottest pepper in the world! Why did I do it?! I was desperately searching for a fast fix to get rid of this YI, without waiting for a prescription to be sent over in 48 hrs. Had I known I was prepping to house Satan’s love child in my ever so angelic lady bits, I would have said no way! This “mild itching and burning” is ripping through my vaginal opening and raging and roaring through my vaginal canal faster than any wildfire I’ve ever seen! It’s even coming after my bootyhole! How are you coming after that too?! After caving and taking a wipe to clean/scratch myself real good down there, I currently have my clobetasol steroid ointment helping me tame this beast of a flame that was once known as my precious. Once this is over, you girl is going to be left with the worst PTSD from just hearing the name of he who must not be named."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT BUY. The first hour was fine. The second. OH MY VAGINA. It itches and burns like you can’t even imagine. Maybe go with the Monistat 3. Definitely not the 1. Really regretting this as I am miserable at 2:00 am, and I’ve taken Benadryl and melatonin just to try and sleep this off..."
