For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a mild yeast infection, but because I am going on vacation tomorrow, I decided as a preventative measure to buy this and put it in. OMG, LORD, HELP ME!! My vagina is on fire, burning inside and outside. DO NOT USE THIS!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is the worst thing I have ever used! I am on the toilet with my bidet turned on full blast just to calm the flames coming out of my vagina! It’s almost 1 a.m., and I can’t get off of the toilet! Do not use Monistat! This is unbelievable!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So, got an antibiotic for something else. Then I got a YI, so decided I would try the Monistat 1. Let me tell you this is easily the worst choice I have ever made. I am in so much pain, the burning is nothing like I have ever experienced. Currently crying because I cannot get this pain to go away! Please contact your doctor about another option, I do not want anyone to go through this!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am currently laying with a bag of frozen corn between my legs and reading these reviews to distract myself. If you happen to be reading this BEFORE using/buying this product, DO NOT USE IT!!! I am on FIRE and BLEEDING from this product. If you’re like me and only read reviews after the fact to make sure you weren’t having a literal emergency, good luck. It has been a few hours, and it is starting to subside, but I would much rather have used a longer timed treatment than experience this. NOT WORTH IT and SHOULD NOT BE ON THE SHELVES."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you can handle your lady biscuit to be on fire, this is right for you! Their 'mild burning' as a side effect is not mild. It feels like I wiped with a napkin full of hot sauce. Oh my gosh, it's TERRIBLE! I got this to treat my yeast infection, hoping to avoid oral capsules. Applying: uncomfortable, but manageable. The cream they include helped at first. An hour in: Eh, it was sorta burning, but I was still able to manage. I figured, 'hey, this must be the mild burning they warned about.' Four hours in, and it feels like I used Icy Hot on my vagina! It's burning, tingling, & I can literally feel my heartbeat in my vagina! Don't even get me started on peeing - it feels like I'm peeing ghost pepper! Tried showering, then tried to rinse the medication off. Literally to the point of possibly going to the emergency room."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Felt symptoms of YI coming on (irritation, swelling, and slight discharge). Woke up the very next day with a full-fledged YI. Couldn’t get ahold of my dr right away, so I did something VERY desperate and purchased Monistat 1. This little ball of fire fury is the worst, most lethal thing I think I have ever come across in my life. I went from having a YI to having the fiery depths of lava bubbling inside of my lady bits. It looks like I gave birth again and hurts to walk/sit. Did my best to remove it all after the burning intensified, but I’m still suffering after a whole 24 hours. Not worth the stress, trouble, money, and it does absolutely nothing but make things 1000x worse. Just call your gyno and ask for Diflucan or another prescription option because OTC YI treatment is NOT the way to go."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This product is pure torture! I bought Monistat 1 over the counter for a very minor YI. I had no idea the agony that was ahead of me. I was preparing dinner for a dinner party, and holy hellfire, I suddenly was taken out by the fire in my vagina. I simply could not deal with myself. Not a convenient experience, to say the least. These reviews gave me peace of mind, though it has been about twenty minutes, and I am feeling some relief. I do not recommend."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I felt a little itchy, so I decided to use a Monistat 7 insert to try to stop anything from getting too bad. A few days later, I knew my YI was just getting worse, and I was over feeling like that. I bought the generic for Monistat 1 and inserted it about 8:30. I was up and down for the next hour while the meds did their thing. Yes, the itch was intense... very intense. No burning, though, and my V is pretty sensitive to everything. However, this morning I'm 100% better. I will take the few hours of intense itching for overall relief."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was kind of dreading putting the egg in because I had read all of these comments beforehand, but I had finally worked up the courage to do it. Initially, there was a little bit of burning, but nothing I couldn’t handle. It got better after the first hour, and I can barely feel it. The cream stings more to me. Anyway, I’m already feeling better. The next morning, I would recommend this product, just take a couple of Advil before :)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought this late last night, and boy, what a fiasco that was. First yeast infection since I was 16. Back then, the only option was a 7-day treatment plan. Decided to speed things up a bit and go with the 1 day. This was around 9 pm. My YI was pretty difficult to deal with, very itchy. So I inserted the ovule pretty immediately once I had returned and used the itch cream. I went to bed and found this page. I about had a panic attack reading some of these reviews. But I fell asleep and just woke up 8 hours later. I did not have any burning or itching or any of the things others have described. Just used the bathroom, and I feel loads better. I would say take the reviews with a grain of salt, some people have a very low pain tolerance or a bad reaction. I didn't have any pain at all with this!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT USE EVER!! This Monistat 1 burns your vagina, your skin, it burns everything down there. Please believe these comments, they are true. I will never use this product ever again. I pray that I never have a YI for a while. If I do, I will definitely try something else or a home remedy!!!!! Stay away from this product, ladies, it’s not worth the burning and the pain after 12 hours."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a very mild case of yeast infection. I usually buy the 7-day, but they were out at the store, so I purchased the 1-day, thinking it would really do the trick because it wasn’t severe. At first, it seemed as if it helped, but as time went on, it began to itch and burn like crazy, so now I’m probably going to purchase the 7-day and start the treatment. I can’t take this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have had a mild yeast infection for about a week because I was hoping it would just go away. It didn't, so I decided to buy some Monistat-1. I've heard the bad reviews, but some say Monistat 1 is supposed to be better. I luckily decided to try the itch cream first to see if I would have a reaction, and BOY did I! After like 40 seconds, it felt like my vulva was on FIRE. It is so itchy! So I wiped it off with wet wipes, but the burning remains, even though I wiped it off. About to take a cold shower. I'm SO glad I didn't put this actual treatment in my vagina because I wouldn't be able to bear this insatiable burning/itching on my vulva AND inside my vag. Don't be like me, just go to the doctor and get a prescription!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Let me start off by saying I NEVER write reviews. But I’m a total hypocrite because I rely on them before I decide to purchase a product. After figuring out I had a yeast infection and figuring out Monistat was obviously the way to go, I didn’t hesitate when I saw the 1-day experience. After reading through many of the posts, I was hesitant to use the product and decided to sleep on it. I decided today that I would bear the brunt of the burning that everyone is talking about if it meant quick relief. I assumed that I would be like the majority and would suffer the negative side effects. I inserted the product around 5:30 PM, and I am through the two-hour window that most people claim is when the extreme burning starts. I’ve been on the couch, and the only thing I’ve noticed is the itching, which I’ve been working with, so nothing new. You might be surprised to find, like me, you won’t suffer negatively at all!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I always use Monistat 1 day ovule just because it's one and done for me, no 3-day and 7-day business, and never the creams, yuck! This product is good. It does work, unfortunately, you just have to deal with itching and burning the first couple of days, and then it usually winds down as the infection starts to clear. I waited a week before I started treatment, and it seems the longer you wait, the worse the side effects, but it is effective... so hang in there, try to power through because relief will be there waiting in the end."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Not my first YI rodeo. First time using the ovule. Intense burning. Where is the sandpaper when you need it! I was on fire before, but OMG! I sucked it up, the next day was better. Today, day 3, very minor symptoms. I guess if you want to only use a one-day cure, there will be more medication, and it seems like more burning. So if you can't handle it, use the 3 or 7-day treatment."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Grabbed Monistat 1, trying to go the quicker and lazy route, and wish now I had seen these reviews beforehand. I genuinely thought something was wrong with me prior to reading these. My outer areas itch me SO badly (worse than they did prior to Monistat) that I want to get rid of it because surely that pain would be less than the incessant burning itching. Will never ever use again!! You’ve been warned :|"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I can highly recommend this product to anyone eager for the sensation of shoving a tampon soaked in napalm up your twat, then experiencing an internal nuclear fallout for the next 10-12 hours. Last night I inserted this at around 8. By 8:30, I was squatting in front of the freezer crying. This went on for HOURS. Thank goodness for the women on this thread who posted their experiences. Otherwise, I would’ve gone to the ER. Perhaps by ambulance, I can’t know for sure. If you’ve come here to find out if your vagina will survive, the good news is it will. But it’ll take a good 12 hours to stop burning. I’m still tender and swollen this morning. I was only able to sleep last night because I found leftover pain medication from a dental procedure. I will never use this product ever again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Yes, it burns, but that's how you know it's working! This is my third time using this particular one, and I recommend it over the Monistat 3 or 7. It's only one night of burning and maybe a little bit the next morning. But it works! And for $20, it's a lot less expensive than paying for a doctor's visit."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm currently lying in bed with a bag of corn between my legs, praying I can catch my train on time. The burning and itching are so freaking intense, I wish I could take my vag off and wash it in my sink. My YI was pretty mild, but I couldn't get the ovule very far up my vagina. This burning itch is so much worse than my initial infection. Hopefully, it goes away soon."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Let me preface by saying that I have a generally high pain tolerance. I took the Monistat ovule combo pack around 12:45 pm, and within two hours, I felt slight relief. I continued to run errands, etc. There is a slight uncomfortable feeling, and it felt like my vagina was slightly swollen, but it wasn’t painful. Around 3 pm, I decided to go to the gym, and that was the WORST decision ever. Once you are active, the Monistat begins to burn and itch like anything. I wanted to wipe it out so many times, but I fought through it. Throughout the course of the day, I felt very uncomfortable, and it only helped when I was sitting down that the pain slightly subsided. Fast forward to the next day in the morning. I have hardly any symptoms, and I feel extremely better. This product is not for everyone if you can’t handle some uncomfortable sensations for a while. Personally, for me, I would use it again just for the quick convenience."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Inserted the 1-day Monistat ovule at 11:30, and I woke up at 2 am with tears because of the burning. The reviews on here stopped me from going to the emergency room, but I haven’t found anything to stop the burning and itching. Would absolutely not recommend, regardless of how well it clears the infection."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Antibiotics always give me a YI, but I never learn... I finished a round of Augmentin last Tuesday. On Friday, I felt a little itchy/burny on my outer vulva, so I requested a Diflucan script from my doc. Took the Diflucan Saturday morning. By Monday, everything from the rawness to the chunks had gotten worse, so Tuesday morning I set out to buy this little gem. Inserted at 9:30 a.m. Had to pee at 11:15 a.m., and that seemed to be the accelerant. Yes, it burns. Yes, it’s super uncomfortable. I had to leave work and come home. But by 2 p.m., I was chipper and burn-free. It’s now 11 p.m., and my lady bits feel about 95% back to normal. Granted, the Diflucan also probably helped that a bit. But nothing works like the ovule. I know it’s a “day or night” dose, but I do not recommend trying to be a daytime hero battling this egg internally. It’s a dose of medicine that they also sell spread out over three or seven days. Of course, it’s gonna be a lot more intense. But it WORKS."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am begging you to NOT use this Monistat product. After inserting Monistat 1, a burning and terrible itchy sensation started. I have been in and out of the shower 3 times within the past half hour with the shower nozzle on full blast. I literally feel like somebody put poison ivy up there. I am so desperate, I tried taking the thing out, but unfortunately, it must have dissolved right away. Do yourself a favor and do not take this. All I want to do is sleep, and thanks to this hideous product, I'm in agony.....happy Mother's Day to me....NOT."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was a horrible experience. I had a pretty bad YI and was itching and burning. Thought I'd go ahead and get the one dose to knock it out. I thought I was itching and burning before using this medication. After I put it in, I applied some of the vaginal cream, and it felt like lava was burning my crotch. I quickly grabbed the enclosed wipes and washed it off, thank goodness for those little blessings. I think someone on the marketing team had a sense of humor. Those little gems were the only thing in the $20 box worth anything at all. I ended up laying down for an hour waiting to see what would happen. As time passed, the burning and pain progressed where I was about in tears, so I went and sat in the bath to rinse it out. So, I'm now a little over 2 hours out from my application, and it's throbbing and still burning a little. Please don't subject yourself to this stuff. It's literally the worst thing I've ever purchased."
