Azithromycin for Chlamydia Infection "So, I tested positive for chlamydia today. I went in for a 6-month checkup, and bam... positive. I am furious! First time ever having to deal with an STI. Anyway, I'm allergic to 'cillins', so I was prescribed two 500 mg tablets of Zithromax. Took them right at my doctor's around 3:30. My stomach started churning around 6:30, no nausea or vomiting. Come 8 pm, it was like a waterfall out my poop hole. Only one bout so far, but I'm sure there will be more. Had some slight stomach pain, but nothing unbearable. Waiting to find out how my partner's feeling, lol!!!"

For Chlamydia Infection "After going about a year with symptoms, I decided to get tested. I was diagnosed with chlamydia. I had a sense of relief knowing it was something easily treatable but worried because I read that if it's not treated, it can prevent fertility (I guess I will find out when I try and get pregnant. I am only 20, and kids are nowhere near my future.) I took two 500 mg tablets of azithromycin after eating (you can take it with or without food). I began having hot flashes and stomach pain within 30 minutes. It was nothing too serious. A few minutes later, the stomach pain got worse. I knew it was time to hit the restroom. I had diarrhea, it went down pretty easy. I feel a lot better now, just a bit dizzy. I recommend taking it in the comfort of your home."

For Chlamydia Infection "I had four 250 mg of azithromycin and felt fine straight after. I hadn't read the reviews and didn't know what was to happen next. BOOM two and a half hours later there was a waterfall coming out of my butt and felt like I was about to throw up! My temperature rapidly increased and I had terrible stomach pains! The next day I continued to feel ill, having awful stomach pains, but not once did I poo! Definitely learned my lesson! 100% making sure the boy covers up:/"

For Sinusitis "I'm on day 4 of Zpack. Started out on Doxycycline. Took it for 2 days and had horrible side effects. Replaced with 5 day Zpack. I have had some stomach pain. It starts about 2 hours after I take it and lasts for about 2 hours. I started taking Culturelle prior to the Zpack. I think that has helped keep some of the tummy troubles at bay. I feel a lot better. I've been sick with a sinus infection for 22 days. The only issue I am having now is pain and tenderness in the bridge of my nose. I have 1 more day on Zpack. Not sure if it's going to help my nose."

For Chlamydia Infection "Just today I found out I got it, and my doctor has prescribed the 4 pills to take at once. I got home around 9:30 and took the 4 pills, then I had a small salad. Immediately, I started to feel like I have to throw up. Then my stomach starts to hurt horribly, hearing my stomach make all these weird noises and sounds. Then I started getting a ridiculous amount of gas out of nowhere. These side effects are the worst, I swear."

Azithromycin for Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis "I was prescribed a 5-day Z-Pak to treat a streptococcal pharyngitis infection. After the second day, the medication reduced the swelling and throat pain, but began to cause stomach cramping and pain. By the end of the third day, the stomach pain was severe, and the doctor recommended discontinuing use. This is the only antibiotic I have used that has caused an allergic reaction."

For Chlamydia Infection "I had to post a review. Everybody's body is different. I was prescribed two 500 mg azithromycin pills and was told I could take them in one dose. I already ate prior to taking the pill before bed, but I decided to take them and eat a little after to help ease myself. Didn't do anything. I woke up to the WORST stomach pains I've ever had in my life. I took some pain medicine to help ease the stomach pains, so I'm just waiting for it to kick in. This is definitely teaching me a lesson. Wear condoms."

For Chlamydia Infection "I sadly got chlamydia again and was once again prescribed two 500 mg tablets to be taken at once. After about an hour of taking them, I felt like I was going to die, my stomach hurt so bad I couldn't walk, and taking deep breaths hurt so bad. It's a stomach pain I wouldn't wish on anyone. I'm surprised I didn't throw up because I came so close to losing it like four times. Please use protection from now on, I know I will. CAUTION!! DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING PLANNED FOR AT LEAST 3-4 HOURS AFTER TAKING!!"

For Bacterial Infection "Took all 4 pills for vaginal discharge, no STDs. I had just eaten dinner, so I took the pills. Slight nausea for an hour or 2, so I took some anti-nausea medication. By bedtime, super nauseous and had stomach pains. I took 2 more anti-nausea pills throughout the night as I couldn't sleep for waking up every 5 minutes feeling like I needed to vomit. Then at around 4 am, all the pills kicked in and the nausea went away. Now 5 days later, I got diarrhea all day. However, it did clear up the vaginal discharge, though."

For Sinusitis "I was given the Z-Pak 5-day pack. Day 1, took two pills, 2 hours later, I could not move due to severe upper stomach pain that felt as if it would kill me. The pain was so bad that I couldn't even breathe because it felt like my stomach was getting ripped out from the inside. If you don't have heart problems already, you will after taking this medication from all the clenching and being hunched over. I did not experience diarrhea after taking the Day 1 dose. I could not fall asleep. I'm supposed to take the Day 2 dose, but I'm very wary of taking it after yesterday's episode. I was in bed from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m., don't know if taking only one pill today would be different from the 2-pill dose."

For Chlamydia Infection "For chlamydia, basically you’ll get some form of azithromycin 1000 mg, either in 2 or 4 pills. Usually, it’s a single dose, but it depends on what your provider thinks is best. Eat before you take it, you don’t have to, but it will help with stomach pain. You’ll either have intense nausea and feel like throwing up, or your stomach will start acting crazy, and you’ll probably take a watery poop. Other than that, some hours later or maybe even the next day, you will be fine as far as side effects. As far as symptoms, I took mine 2 days ago. I still feel slight symptoms when I pee, but it’s not as profound as before. I guess it hasn’t fully kicked in yet, but if by day 5 I'm not feeling better, I’ll begin to worry. They say it takes about 7 days for the antibiotic to fully work and to get retested in 3 months. Stuff that, I plan to get retested exactly 3 weeks after my initial treatment just to be safe. Simply put, it’s not as bad as it seems, you’ll more than likely be cured even if it takes multiple doses."

For Chlamydia Infection "I took 4 azithromycin pills (equaling a gram) that I was prescribed for chlamydia, and by the second one, they were hard to swallow. I got food afterward, and once I took my third bite, I felt instantly sick. Once I got home, I went to the bathroom and lay down. The pain that was in my stomach went to my back, and I was worried my infection had taken a turn for the worse, but I see after reading these reviews that side effects can vary and be a wild ride!! In all, if it works, it’s worth it."

For Chlamydia Infection "I started a new relationship with my current boyfriend, and I felt something not right after having unprotected sex with him the first time. I went to get tested, and unfortunately, it came back positive. They gave me 2 500 mg pink pills. I was so sick to my stomach that time... so nauseous with diarrhea. So did he. But we didn't wait long enough to have sex and got it one more time. Took it again last night around 10 pm and woke up that day (7:45 am) with bad stomach pain, nauseous and diarrhea-so did my boyfriend. So please wait to have sex again! Better to take it once and have the pain/diarrhea than to double take it for not waiting."

For Chlamydia Infection "I was infected with chlamydia by my then-husband. I was 7 months pregnant at the time. I took the single dose of two 500 mg pills. I took the meds around 4 in the afternoon and didn’t feel anything. Around 1 a.m., I felt some stomach pain and ended up throwing up. By 3 a.m., I had such severe cramps that I was screaming and crying on the floor from the pain. Finally then, my ex decided to take me to the ER. I was crying and in so much pain. The doctor said that I was having a severe reaction (I don’t remember the name of the condition). They gave me a sedative and pain meds to help, as well as Zofran to help with the vomiting. I went home by 8 a.m. I was in the clear after 10 days, but the medication itself was a nightmare."

For Chlamydia Infection "I've noticed I had a difference in my discharge then bleeding while I pee. Went to the doctor, turned out that I have chlamydia. I was prescribed 2 dosages of azithromycin. I took the pills Wednesday, it's now Friday, and I have NO side effects. Before I took the pills, I ate Chick-fil-A right before, then took them one at a time back to back because they were too big to take all at once. The only thing I felt was a little bit nauseous and a little stomach pain, but that was it. I could tell the medication is working ALREADY!!!!!"

For Bronchitis "Was prescribed 500 mg for 3 days for acute bronchitis and got worse on day 4 to the point of needing to go to the hospital. Deepened cough, unable to breathe, and severe stomach cramps. This drug is useless and only promotes worse superbugs and antibiotic-resistant strains."

For Chlamydia Infection "This is my first and LAST time having chlamydia! Apparently, I've had it for about 7 months with no signs except the urgency to use the restroom. Something told me to go get checked out, so I did a couple of days ago with the confidence of knowing that it was probably a yeast infection... nope, my doctor called 2 days later and told me I had contracted CHLAMYDIA! I couldn't believe it. I took the pills my doctor prescribed me, two 500 mg pills. I took them at 12:30 pm, I had to go to work at 2 pm and ended up leaving at 6 pm because my stomach was hurting so bad. I couldn't even put on my jacket when leaving work because my stomach was bubbling so intensely. I ran to the toilet so fast and have been twice afterward. NO SEX FOR ME TILL I'M MARRIED."

For Chlamydia Infection "I have emetophobia, so it was super hard for me to take this medicine as I read horrible reviews about it. But! I decided to get rid of this ASAP because I don’t want to be stuck with this. I actually was told I had chlamydia on Feb. 20 and waited till March 13 to take medication (I know, dumb). Side effects: bad stomach cramps 30 mins after taking it, feeling super tired after taking, it’s 4 am, and I’m experiencing stomach rumbling. Annoying but tolerable? * It’s only been 12 hours since medication. * WILL UPDATE EVERY DAY. Tips: - I took a nausea pill 30 mins before taking this medication. - I prepared my stomach 2 days before by taking probiotics and eating healthy! - Eat small meals! Don’t get too full, it can trigger the nausea. - If you get a headache, take a small shower and a nap. - Think positive! Distract yourself! If you have emetophobia: I believe in you! We got this! HOPE THIS HELPS! I’ll be back to update daily! x"

For Chlamydia Infection "It has been a year since I broke up with my ex, and of course, I slept with him without protection because I decided to be stupid! Little did I know he had the clap and spread it to me. I got tested, and days later I got a call saying I had an STD, and it really does suck knowing you would be the one to get it! Very embarrassing news and something you NEVER want to hear. I went into my doctor's office and took 4 pills and left. About an hour later, I had the WORST cramps and stomach pains. I sat on the toilet with diarrhea for about 15 minutes, and I felt better. It's been 2 hours, and I feel better after the bathroom. Not horrible, but it isn't a fun experience. I LEARNED MY LESSON. NO UNPROTECTED SEX."

For Chlamydia Infection "Wow, took 2 500 mg an hour ago and started getting nauseous 30 mins later. Just threw up my dinner but feel a little better. Worst stomach pain I have ever experienced. Medication usually never affects me, but this stuff is no joke. I've learned my lesson, time to clean up my act. I never want to go through this again. Obviously, if it gets rid of it, it's worth it. Good luck to you."
