For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It is 2 am, and I’m in agony! I used the terconazole cream as directed for a yeast infection before bed and woke up to my vagina on fire. I took a shower to try to get the cream out of me, still in major pain. I may go to the ER. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m using terconazole in the 3-day dosage form. Immediately felt cramping and then had bloody discharge. The pain and burning did not subside, rather, I became more sensitive and inflamed. I’m taking my 3rd dosage today, but so far I hate this product and wish I took a pill instead (which used to work for me in the past)."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Got diagnosed with BV, and Dr. gave me metronidazole vaginal gel - that was awful! I did it for three nights and woke up each night in so much pain I couldn’t sleep. Swollen, itchy, super irritated! Went back to my Dr. and he prescribed me terconazole cream. I was super skeptical at first because I didn’t want to go through the same experience, but of course, I'm going to trust my Dr. If he says it’ll make it better, then it should make it better, right? Wrong! The first night of applying the cream, and I got the same symptoms, if not worse than before! Only had it in for two hours, and it woke me out of dead sleep to the itching and burning pain. Never again will I use any type of cream. Worst experience of my life."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Took this 3-day for small YI. 1st day was awful, slight itching and bad smell by end of day. I just thought it was terrible and from hot weather, but saw it was a side effect. 2nd day, no bad smell, but severe itching. Did not do 3rd day, but still itched terribly all day, like 'on fire' itchy. Could not pay me to go through this again, I've been completely distracted and short-tempered from pain. I'm in more pain now than before I took it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I just found out I was pregnant, and it seems like it instantly threw off my hormones. My vagina was red, it was hurting, so I figured I had a YI. I called the nurse, and she prescribed the terconazole cream 0.4 for 7 days. I normally take the fluconazole pill, and that normally works for me. The 1st day my vag was on fire. I literally had to force myself to sleep because the pain was intense. 2nd day, I was on fire as well, but not that bad. 3rd day, I was okay. 4th day, also my vagina isn't red anymore, so far it's working. I just wear a panty liner to bed because it's messy."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, I was given Terazol 0.4%. Took before bed (around 9 pm) and woke up with pain at 4 am. My poor lady parts burned so bad. Took a shower - tried to push it all out. Waited on the couch with an ice pack between my legs till the doctor's office opened at 9 am. The doctor told me that because I already took Diflucan, I didn’t need to continue with Terazol for the next 6 days - I might have been having an allergic reaction. Let me tell you, I am usually really good at dealing with pain ... but there was no way I could have done the entire 7-day treatment."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was diagnosed with a YI 3 weeks ago. They gave me a pill to take. I took it! It was gone. Then, last week, it returned. I went to my doc, he told me I couldn’t take the pill again because I built a tolerance to the pill, so he prescribed me terconazole. The first night, I inserted while laying on my back on my cold, tiled bathroom floor. Seconds later, I felt a difference with itching, it was worse than a regular YI. Day two was about the same itching and burning, but I could sleep. DAY THREE. I’m on the same cold bathroom floor, anticipating the end of the horrid infection. I inserted. The last batch, I’m feeling hopeful. Positive almost, that this is the light at the end of a dark, DARK tunnel, BUT THEN, seconds later, it starts THE WORST PAIN IN MY LIFE, suddenly, the burning and itching were way worse than ever before. There were squirrels in my pants. Moral of the story: never again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Went for my pap, and the gyn said I had a yeast infection, but it was only on the inside. I had no symptoms or discomfort, didn't even know I had one! She started me on the 3-day dose to nip it in the bud quick. Honestly, I am not really a fan. My lower abdomen and pelvis are bloated and very painful each use (on dose 2 of 3). Not to mention I feel disgusting because it leaks out, ew! My only advice is to eat yogurt, and if you have to use this product, you better be able to hold a kegel clench for a whole night unless you want it on your panties or bed."

Terconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had a bad reaction to Monistat, so I went to see my OB/GYN. He gave me this medication, and so far I'm worse than I was before I started it. I'm swollen, red, itchy, and feel I'm on fire all the time. I can't walk or sit. After using this medication, I wake up several times through the night in pain and severe itching. I am not having any luck using it. I'm on night 3 of 7, but so far it's just getting worse. I should have just gone to the hospital and got the IV medication from them."

"Went to gynecologist with pain and some burning, diagnosed as yeast infection external vulva to anus. Put me on terconazole to apply externally over the whole area. Pain, itching, burning, 10 times worse than original symptoms. It happens to be a listed side effect. Also used up the little tube in 5 days, Dr. said 2 weeks, insurance won’t cover, as it is to be used vaginally and should last 2 weeks. I have to cover the entire external area only. Now I have to pay for this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My gyn gave me the 7-day Terconazole 0.4%, it seems to work fine. Then I had intercourse with my boyfriend 3 days after I finished using it, and then 2 days later, I started to feel sore and a slight itch. Then the following day, I realized that the yeast infection is back. My Dr. had also given me fluconazole 150 mg tab in case it came back, so I'm going to try that because it has worked for me before."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I went to the doctor because I had itching and weird-smelling discharge. My doc diagnosed me with BV and YI. She prescribed antibiotics for 6 days and 1 fluconazole pill for the yeast infection, but I didn't listen to instructions and took fluconazole before my antibiotics were finished. So after finishing my antibiotic, I had itching and discharge still. So I went back and she said the BV was gone, but I still had a YI. She prescribed 2 weeks of terconazole cream, then a 6-month treatment of fluconazole. I'm on my first week, 3rd day of cream, and I have been throwing up and having chills and very sore, but no more itching and discomfort (still a little discharge). It's working. I don't want to do another week of it. I'll just toughen up."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This cream seems ineffective at best. The applicator is uncomfortable and the plunger kept getting stuck, not to mention the hassle of cleaning it after each use. Was first prescribed the 3-day but did not clear my infection completely. Later was prescribed the 7-day. The first few days were fine, but towards the 4th or 5th day, I started feeling even more pain than I was originally in. By the final day, I was miserable, plus I had no idea if the cream worked because I felt worse than before. The NP told me this stuff was stronger than Monistat, but I have my doubts. I feel as if my infection has gotten better on its own more than this cream has helped."
