Terconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This cream's dosage is long - 7 days. I wish it was shorter. However, as soon as I inserted the first dose on the first night, I felt immediate relief. Insert cream at night and let it drain out in the morning. Repeat this for 7 days. I wear pantyliners every day. You may need to change your liner midday in case some cream leaks out. By the 3rd day, I was pretty functional around the house and at work. I'm on day 4, and I still feel a bit itchy, but so much better than before. Remember to stop eating sugar and eat more vegetables and a probiotic to help the yeast die along with the medication. Cream feels soothing. No burn nor skin reaction to the cream. So far, so good. :)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Terconazole worked for me. After using all the other creams, this one worked best. But I used this and the 7-day pill that stays active in your system for 7 days. I used the terconazole cream for 3 days and took the pill, which was active in me for 7 days. After the 3-day inserting cream (I did notice yeast cleared up and itchiness gone), I immediately started using boric acid suppositories to balance everything. Because after you use a yeast infection cream, it will cause an imbalance and cause BV (bacterial vaginosis). I usually just get another infection after using creams. Boric acid is a natural suppository that gets rid of yeast and BV, so it won't cause a side effect. I also was taking azo cranberry pills and drinking lots of water. And 2 weeks later, my infection was gone after battling it for a whole year. Boom."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a YI that kept coming back after 2 rounds of Diflucan. After confirming that I definitely had a YI from a swab test, my OB-GYN prescribed terconazole. I put off trying it for 3 days because I was so scared from these reviews and because I had a bad experience with Monistat. But I got miserable enough to try it, and I’m so glad I did!! No side effects, and I feel way better after 3 days of treatment. I get random twinges of itching here and there since I’m probably still recovering (I think my infection was pretty bad: too much stress, wine, and sugar) but this made all the difference. I wish I would have taken it days ago!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Terconazole 0.8% made my itching go away while it was inserted, but it did not clear the infection. I had a little extra cream, and so I have used it 4 nights in a row even though it is supposed to work after 3. I have to add that this is a tough infection I've had for at least 3 months, and I am pregnant, which makes it even more difficult to heal. Obviously, this won't be the case for everyone."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my night #1 of 3 with the vaginal suppositories. I will say that I am having far more discomfort now than I was before I inserted the medicine. I can only pray the next 2 doses are far less irritating, burning, and itching than tonight. I would much rather try different methods than this. There will be no sleeping through this misery."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've dealt with chronic yeast infections for years. Sometimes I'll go months without, but other times, I get one once a month. The 7-day treatment is the only thing that works for me. I've used this medication for at least 9 years as needed. Highly recommend it!! And for outer itching, ask the doctor for nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream. Numbs the area to completely relieve burning and itching."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omg! My vagina is on fire. I’m severely itchy and irritated down there. I was diagnosed with BV and was given metronidazole. This caused me to have a YI. My doctor then called me in a prescription of terconazole to treat the yeast! It has been a nightmare. I can barely walk. I tried sitting in a warm bath, which only took the pain and itching away for a few hours. After that, it felt like I had fire ants in my vagina. My doctor has now called in Diflucan, and I’m praying it relieves me of my symptoms."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After 2 weeks of an infection... 2 shots of Rocephin and steroids and Augmentin, I got a raging YI. Burning, itching, and thick discharge... called MD, she called in 3 days of Fluconazole and Terconazole. Took the 1st pill in daytime, then waited before bed to do the insert. Holy moly, mother of God... my world was on FIRE!!!! The burning was so intense I could only imagine it comparable to a hot fire poker covered in acid. Thought it would ease up, then the insert leaked out of my vagina and commenced an attack on my other womanly bits. Got up and showered, no relief... finally went to sleep and woke up with swollen MEGA Vaj."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am 37 weeks pregnant and suffered yeast infections throughout the pregnancy. I used Monistat 7 and would experience burning and itching less than an hour after use. My doctor prescribed me this medication. Finally!!!!! Relief!!!! No burning, no itching, only a slight cramp which I could deal with. Today is day one. Use it before sleep, not while your day is going by. I'm feeling so much better in such a short period of time. Seems like some people experienced some side effects which I hope I don't. So far, so good."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I went to the gynecologist and said I had BV and a yeast infection, so he gave me tinidazole antibiotics for the BV and the 7-day terconazole. I had itching before, but I’m on day 3 and I still feel a stingy sensation and itchy sensation inside and outside my vagina. I have used this medication before, but it never did this to me before. But now I don’t know what’s going on. Feels like my vagina is severely irritated from too much antifungal cream. I’m so annoyed. What’s the point of this medication killing the yeast infection but leaves you with a severely irritated vagina? Someone else has had the same experience? I’ll be needing some estrogen vaginal cream to soothe the irritation."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm 18, and I've never had a YI before, so when I started itching and burning, of course, I started freaking out! I had protected sex Saturday, and then Monday, all hell broke loose in my vagina. I was itching so bad that I Googled all of my symptoms, and it said I had BV. Monday night, I cried and got no sleep because I was up scratching. So Tuesday, I said, 'F THIS, I need answers.' I made an appointment the same day to my OBGYN, and I told her I thought it was an allergic reaction to the condom, but she said I had a YI. She put me on terconazole for 3 days and the pink nasty 2-day pill. I took the pill and cream yesterday, I slept like a baby, but tonight I'm a little itchy after using the 2nd dose. Hopefully, after the 3rd cream and 2nd pill, it'll be fully gone."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "While using the 3-day dose, I experienced headaches on the second night dose. Also, on my first and second dose, every now and then I would get an itching sensation. The third was pretty OK. I'm on my fourth dose now because I had some cream left over... hopefully this last one does the job completely. Plus, I've been eating yogurt... (first yeast infection)."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I never knew I had a yeast infection, I thought a little itchiness was a common thing, but apparently not. I was on this cream for 7 days, and I've had no problems. The only annoying thing is that it leaks out a little, and it feels weird. I don't know if it's helped any since my infection wasn't bad, but I haven't had any itching or any discomfort since using this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It is my first diagnosed yeast infection. I went to the doctor after one mild and two extremely itchy nights (itch started on Saturday and I saw the doctor on Tuesday). I decided to wait for a few days before using the medication, and although itching was never as bad as nights 2 & 3, I decided to try the medication as my quality of life was going down and my days consumed by this matter, and I was having a bit of discharge, although I had none at the beginning. I started the medication exactly one week after I first felt itching. I was prescribed 7 nights of Taro terconazole 0.4% and two doses of fluconazole -150 (one tablet to be taken 14 days later). This combination has worked for me, and now, 13 days from day 1 of itching, I feel completely normal."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was 6 weeks pregnant when I started having burning and itching of my privates. My OB-GYN prescribed terconazole, 3-day regimen. It worked like magic, by the second day of use, I was feeling relieved. Less itch and burning sensation. Now, a year after, the yeast infection returned, I'm currently using it again, and hopefully will be better."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have had a constant struggle with yeast infection during pregnancy. I used it for 10 days. It burned for a few days for me because I was raw and irritated from how bad the itching was. As soon as I applied and inserted this cream, it burned and itched for a while but cleared up my yeast infection fast. Personally, I like the pill one-time dose better but wear a pad or liner. Don't have sex while using this, it will burn your partner!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After reading these reviews, I was very skeptical to try this once it was prescribed. I’ve tried over-the-counter Monistat for yeast infections, and the burning was almost unbearable, so I was scared to use another vaginal cream. But to my surprise, this did not burn at all. There was an irritating tingling feeling on day one, but a yeast infection is already irritating, and it went away in like an hour. Day two, I woke up a little itchy. Once I took the cream, the symptoms went away almost immediately, and I was good all day. Today is day three, and I’m excited that I almost feel back to myself! I would recommend this. I have had no side effects, the only thing is some of the cream will come out, so wear some panties you don’t care about or a liner, lol!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I don't usually post on these, but OMG, this cream is a lifesaver because I really wanted to blow my head off after all the itching that occurred tonight and the night before. I applied or inserted the cream and made a call to my gyn at 2 am. After laughing at me, they assured me I would be fine after a visit from the doctor. The itching stopped maybe 5-7 minutes after use. Was so unbelievably, I pray it don't come back tonight."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have a mild yeast infection, where I only experience irritation and a little itch here and there! I was prescribed terconazole 0.4, my first time ever having a yeast infection (21-year-old), and the first night I put the cream in (very easy to put in, just put it into the syringe, place it into your vag, and release cream), it worked wonders! It relieved the irritation and itch right away! Now it's day 2, and I don't have irritation at all, just still an itch here and there! I have to use the cream for 5 more days and will update every day."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was prescribed the 3-day treatment for a yeast infection (I had very mild symptoms but noticed more discharge than usual and felt like I always had to pee - no itchiness). My doctor said I had a vaginal infection. After taking the 3rd dose of terconazole, the discharge is gone, however, I now have severe itchiness inside and still have the frequent urge to urinate. My bladder or something inside feels like it’s throbbing every time I urinate then for hours after. It’s the weekend, so I’m having to wait to speak with my doctor on next steps. I’ve never experienced discomfort like this, and based on the reviews, I’m guessing these side effects are not normal or maybe my doctor was wrong and I have a urinary infection."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've tried anything and everything for yeast infections as I get recurrent ones (not due to an underlying cause other than my vagina is moody), but terconazole is the best. I've tried boric acid, gentian violet, clotrimazole, Diflucan... all work OK, but terconazole is the best, in my opinion. The only downside is the first few days (I do the 7 days), it makes the itch worse, feels like a bunch of mosquito bites down there, but it kicks the infection for a while and it makes me a little tingly. Doesn't cure it fully for me as my infections come back, but I don't really have any side effects from it, and it's cheap! Only $15 with insurance... plus I heard Monistat burns, so I've stayed far away from that."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Awful experience. I got a yeast infection over a week ago from the use of an antibiotic. I originally had mild irritation and major yeast buildup and first treated it with Monistat. The yeast buildup and discharge went away temporarily and returned within a few days, so I called the gyn to get prescribed something more effective. Prior to using the medication, I actually noticed less discharge and less irritation, but decided I would still use as recommended to ensure the YI was gone. Worst decision, I used the cream before bed at 10 pm, had no side effects, went to sleep. Woke up at 2 am to use the bathroom, immediately after using the bathroom, I had severe burning and itching and could not fall back to sleep due to pain. Decided to look up reviews and side effects, and to my surprise, many women are suffering from this medication. I immediately sat on the toilet for 30 mins to allow the medication to leak out and took a shower. Feeling much better, and itching and burning are subsiding."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Got diagnosed with BV, and Dr. gave me metronidazole vaginal gel - that was awful! I did it for three nights and woke up each night in so much pain I couldn’t sleep. Swollen, itchy, super irritated! Went back to my Dr. and he prescribed me terconazole cream. I was super skeptical at first because I didn’t want to go through the same experience, but of course, I'm going to trust my Dr. If he says it’ll make it better, then it should make it better, right? Wrong! The first night of applying the cream, and I got the same symptoms, if not worse than before! Only had it in for two hours, and it woke me out of dead sleep to the itching and burning pain. Never again will I use any type of cream. Worst experience of my life."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Any type of insertion cream worries me. This YI is long-lasting and an unbeatable yeast infection that lasted for a few months! I tried Monistat 7, and it itched so bad. I couldn't make it past the third day. I'm pretty strong-willed, but when it comes to my vagina, I guess I'm not as strong as I thought. So when my doctor prescribed me a 3-day dose of terconazole, another antifungal cream, I wanted to cry. The anxiety was real. I put it in last night for the first time, and it didn’t affect me at all. I was shook. I was prepared to suffer, but I was so frustratedly wanting my YI gone. Ten minutes passed without pain, and I fell asleep. I was fine. Woke up, showered, tried getting it out as best I could because it’s a new day. The only complaint I have is that it’s still coming out. It’s like when you use too much lube, and you just have it coming out, and you’re wiping it all day whenever you use the bathroom. No YI symptoms at the moment-2 more nights."
