For Urinary Frequency "I'm an otherwise healthy 24-year-old. I've always gone to the bathroom to pee a little more than most people, but about 2 weeks ago I started feeling like I ALWAYS needed to go, even right after peeing. After being tested for infections and given a bladder/kidney ultrasound, my urologist prescribed me this. After 4 doses, I feel almost completely normal. Side effects: dry eyes, dry mouth, slight dizziness at first. Worth it in my opinion!"

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I started taking 5 mg 2 months ago, and by the 2nd night, I had my first dry night in months, and even on the first night, it was significantly better. It has completely changed my life. Unfortunately, in this last week, I have had 2 episodes of incontinence and have become concerned that I might need to increase the dose. Initially, I had dry eyes, blurred vision, headache, and some nausea, but this settled. I am left with blurred vision sometimes. I willingly put up with the side effects, as the alternative is untenable."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "My bladder was out of control! Having to urinate almost every 45 minutes to an hour. Seriously, I was going 25-30 times a day. It was awful. The doctor put me on VESIcare 5 mg. It worked great from the 2-3 days, however, after a week or so, my symptoms came back. He decided to put me on the 10 mg. At first, my mouth and eyes were very dry, I almost stopped taking it. I decided to give it some time and see what happened. The drug was a lifesaver for me, the dry mouth and eyes went away after the 2nd week. Constipation was kind of an issue, but I started using Miralax and had no problems at all. Well, that is until about 3-4 weeks of taking the 10 mg... It seems as though my symptoms are coming back."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "This medication initially was very helpful in helping me get my urinary problems under control. During the first month of treatment, it caused extreme dry mouth and dry eyes. By week six, it caused heartburn and an upset stomach. At first, I did not make the connection between the drug and my symptoms, but after thinking about it, the possibility of VESIcare being the culprit became very real to me. I used this website to confirm my suspicions. I have decided to inform my doctor and curtail daily usage, lest things get worse."

For Neurogenic Bladder "For neurogenic and OA bladder due to myelomeningocele. Using it about three years. I take it for about 9-12 months, then rest for 1 month, then start again. It's the best medication that is useful for me. First time that I used it, at least 6 months, it worked excellent. Really a miracle! Four hours without leaking or incontinence. Because of some reasons, I stopped it. After that time, I used solifenacin again, but it can't completely cure my problem, only for 2 hours or maybe 2.5 hours, but I like it. Side effects: dry mouth, dry eyes. Dry mouth 2 times a week and dry eyes 1 or 2 times per month, only for 10mg or more. I try Botox injection. My bladder capacity increased 2x, but nothing happens for my incontinence. I suggest to you the best way when living with OAB is using CIC + medication (solifenacin, etc.). Most of the drugs in Iran are cheap. It costs $1.32 for me. Yes, they are expensive for you out of Iran, but they are a very low price for us here."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I have had similar experiences to others here. It worked, but my eyesight became bleary. My eyes were dry and teary. So I stopped. Years later, I realize how bad my hay fever is now from about March through September. Mmm, just saying because I am going to try taking VESIcare again and have bought some hypromellose eye drops at the same time."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "Vesicare. After a short time, experienced very dry mouth, dry eyes, very tired, muscle aches. It did have a positive effect, but the side effects outweighed the benefit."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "I took this for 13 days. It did seem to help with the incontinence somewhat, but the side effects are horrible. Severe dizziness, blurry vision, eye pain/headache, and eye dryness. Heartburn (something I have never had), extreme tiredness, muscle aches, and confusion. I have been off the medication for 3 days, some of the side effects have stopped, but the aching and dizziness are still a problem. I wonder how long they will take to go away."
