Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "I took this for 13 days. It did seem to help with the incontinence somewhat, but the side effects are horrible. Severe dizziness, blurry vision, eye pain/headache, and eye dryness. Heartburn (something I have never had), extreme tiredness, muscle aches, and confusion. I have been off the medication for 3 days, some of the side effects have stopped, but the aching and dizziness are still a problem. I wonder how long they will take to go away."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I started using VESIcare about 7 months ago and it worked fantastic. Side effects are going to make me stop it today: dry mouth, raspy voice, blurred vision, sore throat, constipation, and leg cramps (we used to call them charlie horses). I am 81 years old and can't stand the pain in my leg all day and night, it's worse. But for the incontinence, it was a blessing not to have to run to the bathroom every few hours and not make it home from shopping without being wet. I have tried Detrol but get terrific headaches from that. I will see my doctor and hopefully we can work something out. I am on the 5 mg."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "Taking VESIcare for overactive bladder and bladder irritation. I have been on this for over one year. It helped somewhat for the overactive bladder and irritation. Makes my mouth very dry and blurred my vision pretty bad. I don't know if I will continue this medication as I do not think the side effects are worth it. Also made me bloated."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "Took VESIcare 5 mg for 6 days. Side effects were terrible. Dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, coughing, burning on urinating, and worst of all, crippling chest pains. Felt like I was going to peg out! Stopped taking the tablet immediately, and it took 3 days to get back to normal. Off to see the GP again to see if there is anything else I can try."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I am stopping this medication because of the side effects. I am too weak to walk farther than about 20 feet without stopping-bent over and holding on to something. I cannot function this way. The pain in my upper abdomen is awful. Also, I experienced nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, tightness around the chest, and severe fatigue. I loved not having to get up at night, but the near diarrhea caused other problems. I sleep almost 10 hours per night and take frequent naps. I have been told I am pale and walk like a drunken sailor. I am stopping this medication because of the side effects."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I took VESIcare for several months. It seemed to help some, but my vision was getting blurry, which got worse each month. Scary! I finally stopped it. My vision cleared up. Over the years, I've tried: Detrol LA (rubbish), Ditropan XL (not effective), VESIcare (blurry vision), Enablex (worked for a while, but still not enough control), and now I am on Toviaz 8 mg. So far, Toviaz is the most effective of those. It really cuts down on frequency. I only get up once in the night and can go 3-4 hrs without urinating (daytime). The incontinence is much better. My problem is my brain sees the toilet and doesn't want to hold off until I can get my belt and jeans down and my ass on the throne. My insurance won't cover it now, so I will switch again."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "Product works great, however I did experience some side effects, especially when I first started taking it, nothing that wasn't in the information though. I had fairly severe pain in my chest similar to heartburn pain, but this went away over time, and I only occasionally experience minor now (been on it for a year). I also did experience a little blurred vision at first, but again it has gone away. As I am only 43 years old, my doctor said I might be able to take it for a few months then stop, but that didn't work, had to go back on it again. Now I take it every other day, which is about 95% effective, but to me worth the trade-off of not taking so much medication at my age."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I started taking 5 mg 2 months ago, and by the 2nd night, I had my first dry night in months, and even on the first night, it was significantly better. It has completely changed my life. Unfortunately, in this last week, I have had 2 episodes of incontinence and have become concerned that I might need to increase the dose. Initially, I had dry eyes, blurred vision, headache, and some nausea, but this settled. I am left with blurred vision sometimes. I willingly put up with the side effects, as the alternative is untenable."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I take VESIcare for bladder spasms/irritable bladder. VESIcare has helped with the spasms, but I have blurred vision and fatigue. I am going to continue to take VESIcare at this time, but I am thinking I am going to have to do something different soon."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I have used VESIcare 5 mg for 14 days, and it worked well this first week. Now I'm back to wearing pads, and I'm experiencing cloudy urine with a hint of blood, blurred vision, and a 5 lb weight gain. I've stopped this medicine, obviously, it's not right for me. Hoping to try something else."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "I had a urinary tract infection and the doctor ordered it to help me urinate less until the antibiotics kicked in. It probably did help for that, but generally I haven't seen a big difference. I would say that I am about the same as I usually am. The first time I took it was in the evening, and I was extremely tired and wanted to sleep around 8 pm (I usually only go to bed/sleep around midnight). Yesterday, I was completely zonked. I slept for most of the day. Last night, I was looking online on my phone and was searching, 'Can a UTI make you tired?' and came across this site. I realized that my vision is blurry (I thought it was just being overtired) and that it can cause 'fatigue.' I hadn't put these down to side effects. I am stopping immediately."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "It worked with taking another overactive bladder medicine. But eventually, I experienced severe fatigue, blurred vision, weight gain, and mostly, it caused me intimacy problems. I discontinued it, got it all back."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "After 5 days of taking VESIcare, I feel like I have the flu. My throat is sore, my mouth is dry, vision is blurry, and my stomach is upset. I was prescribed 10's. I am stopping them today. I also am having trouble emptying my bladder. I won't take this again."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I have used VESIcare for over nine years. Only recently did it become ineffective. Also, I have glaucoma, and my eye doctor said I was just fine to use it. I had no side effects, maybe a tiny bit of vision blurriness, but nothing significant, and my eyes adjusted; I also attributed it to the glaucoma and cataracts, which have since been removed. Within the last few months (after nine years), I have had several accidents, which I attribute to stressful situations. My doctor has decided I need to try another drug (I am SO anti-drugs!) that he feels will be more effective. He gave me a week's samples. I will try tomorrow. Yes, VESIcare used to be $45 a month; now, it's $135. The new drug -$140. I am blessed to afford it. So worth it."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "Taking 1/2 a 5 mg tablet, which has reduced the number of times I needed to go to the toilet. I find that VESIcare causes blurry vision and memory problems. Some memory problems and dry mouth. I take Movicol am and pm (laxative) and Biotene for dry mouth and also feel somewhat tired and lack motivation. I hope in 3 months, when I trial not taking it for 2 weeks, will work as the side effects and the price of tablets make me short-tempered."

For Urinary Frequency "Lying here with the worst back pain ever, sharp pain in lower back. My eyes have been really blurry today, and an odd empty feeling in the pit of my tum. And that's after four 5ml tablets over four days. I am not going to take anymore."

For Urinary Frequency "Suffered urge incontinence for over 40 years. Now 77. Pelvic floor exercises, as advised by G.P., did not work, and incontinence (mild) and frequency, especially at night, was an increasing problem. Saw a consultant who prescribed solifenacin, and the improvement after a month is good - get up once a night instead of 3-4 times, so sleep better. Problem is side effects! Dry mouth and nasal passage not really a problem, but blurred vision and being dazzled by bright sun, car headlights when driving, plus some cognitive deterioration and constipation is proving a bit of a worry. Not sure if I will carry on long term."

For Urinary Frequency "I was prescribed this by my GP because oxybutynin gave me diarrhea and mirabegron did nothing for me. I agree with other reviewers that solifenacin gave me immediate constipation and blurred vision. After four days, I gave up as my stomach and abdomen were huge, my back was strained, and I had a massive migraine (scary). It eases the frequent urination, but I would have needed a double dose to see its full potential. For the side effects, not worth trying."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I've had stress urinary incontinence for over 2 years and never considered taking meds, pissed myself like every week and never slept good because it made me wake up like 2 or 3 times a night, plus having pain in my bladder. Started taking VESIcare 5 ml 5 months ago. Honestly, it's really good. I started seeing changes since the first month. I piss myself rarely now and don't wake up at night, maybe just once a night. I'll continue using it for 5 more months, maybe more. The only bad thing is the side effects, which are so annoying to me: really bad constipation, blurred vision, stomach pain, bad headaches, bad drowsiness, and fatigue, which affects my life because it makes me unable to do anything in my day, plus dryness. Me and my doctor still can't figure out the reason because it started when I was only 15. But anyways, it's a good med, just bad side effects."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "Just want to add my experience into the mix. I started having leakage when I sneezed and that sort and then the urge incontinence where I would pee myself before I could make it to the bathroom. ALL that changed with VESIcare. It is a miracle. Dry underwear!! YAY! The only downfall is that my vision is SO blurry. I am using eye drops like crazy, and my eye doctor says he does not think it's the VESIcare, but what else?? SO I am going off VESIcare for a while and see if my vision improves. Will update."
