Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "Took VESIcare 5 mg for 6 days. Side effects were terrible. Dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, coughing, burning on urinating, and worst of all, crippling chest pains. Felt like I was going to peg out! Stopped taking the tablet immediately, and it took 3 days to get back to normal. Off to see the GP again to see if there is anything else I can try."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I am stopping this medication because of the side effects. I am too weak to walk farther than about 20 feet without stopping-bent over and holding on to something. I cannot function this way. The pain in my upper abdomen is awful. Also, I experienced nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, tightness around the chest, and severe fatigue. I loved not having to get up at night, but the near diarrhea caused other problems. I sleep almost 10 hours per night and take frequent naps. I have been told I am pale and walk like a drunken sailor. I am stopping this medication because of the side effects."

For Urinary Frequency "I'm an otherwise healthy 24-year-old. I've always gone to the bathroom to pee a little more than most people, but about 2 weeks ago I started feeling like I ALWAYS needed to go, even right after peeing. After being tested for infections and given a bladder/kidney ultrasound, my urologist prescribed me this. After 4 doses, I feel almost completely normal. Side effects: dry eyes, dry mouth, slight dizziness at first. Worth it in my opinion!"

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "My side effects from VESIcare are constipation, dry mouth, dizziness, sore throat, itching, and burning. I have some reduction in urinary frequency but not enough to justify the side effects. Took for 35 days."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "Have taken 5 VESIcare, and I can only say I have become housebound. The side effects have been horrendous. Visual disturbances, dizzy, blinding head pains, totally confused. I live alone and need to go to the shops, but can't drive in this state. Can anyone tell me how long these side effects will last? Was going to try to give it a week, but don't know if I can last that long. Help."

For Overactive Bladder "I went on this drug 10 days ago. Yes, an improvement in frequency of peeing and urge to pee and wet pants. One issue of concern at night is initially feeling unsteady on my feet, so I have to not jump quickly out of bed. My night peeing frequency is about the same. No other comments have spoken about the unsteadiness I experience jumping immediately out of bed. My progress in 10 days is well worth it."

For Urinary Frequency "I am in my early 20s and was prescribed 5 mg solifenacin for urinary frequency due to my bladder being unable to hold around half of what it should. The immediate side effects were dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, and diarrhea (which I did not even know you could get a combination of!), but most significantly anxiety. I told doctors and was told to stay on it and side effects should go down. I only began to see a minute difference in frequency 4 months in, but the side effects outweigh that. I am still waking up in the night and unable to hold longer than 2 hours. The anxiety is terrible, I stopped leaving my house because the blurred vision and dizziness made me feel crazy in public and caused me to have full-blown panic attacks. I also started to have retention, which I never had before. I stopped taking this a few weeks ago, and there has been little change to my frequency, and anxiety is getting better but still having the blurred vision. Not worth it."

For Urinary Incontinence "It's been 4 days my father is taking it, and we see no improvement. Although the doctor said it will take 2 weeks for it to show some results, so far there are no results. Let's see what happens. Dizziness and dry mouth are caused by this drug."

Solifenacin for Urinary Frequency "I took this for 13 days. It did seem to help with the incontinence somewhat, but the side effects are horrible. Severe dizziness, blurry vision, eye pain/headache, and eye dryness. Heartburn (something I have never had), extreme tiredness, muscle aches, and confusion. I have been off the medication for 3 days, some of the side effects have stopped, but the aching and dizziness are still a problem. I wonder how long they will take to go away."
