For Urinary Frequency "I was prescribed this by my GP because oxybutynin gave me diarrhea and mirabegron did nothing for me. I agree with other reviewers that solifenacin gave me immediate constipation and blurred vision. After four days, I gave up as my stomach and abdomen were huge, my back was strained, and I had a massive migraine (scary). It eases the frequent urination, but I would have needed a double dose to see its full potential. For the side effects, not worth trying."

For Urinary Frequency "I have been prescribed solifenacin for overactive bladder, but within 2 days I was constipated. I kept up the dose while trying to alleviate the bowel problem. Eventually, I stopped the solifenacin after 4 days of dosing, and then 3 days after that, my bowel responded after it had been helped with natural stimulants such as prunes and licorice. Solifenacin has a long half-life, so I think I have now resumed dosage but will take 2 on 2 successive days, then another 3 days later. The OAB was not excessively bad, so I will see how it responds before my next visit to the specialist and whether the night trip(s) to the toilet becomes a thing of the past."

For Urinary Frequency "Shame I'm having to stop taking this as it really did help with my frequency of UTIs. But the constipation is becoming too much of an issue. Two weeks after stopping, I'm still struggling to poop on my own without laxatives."

For Urinary Frequency "Night one: Shaky legs at first, but slept throughout the night. I have pelvic floor disorder. I will take it as needed. Still a little bit of urine each time I pee at times, but to have not as much bladder pressure during the day and slept throughout the night was so thankful. Saw stars when I bent down in the morning, probably affecting my blood pressure. Took it around 10:15 pm, was up since 5:40 am for work. I feel it’s a miracle drug because I was so miserable before with the constant bladder pressure and waking up to not completely empty my bladder. So far, side effects are feeling tired, shaky legs, and seeing stars (low blood pressure). I couldn’t stand my constant waking up and bladder pressure, so I took medicine, which I normally don’t do because of side effects. This is a real review. To notice improvement in just one dose of 5 mg seems amazing. I was hugely constipated, but there are always Fleet enemas, although not sure if you can take them with this medicine."

For Urinary Incontinence "My doctor put me on 2 different medications, which had little effect. And even if they had worked (which they did not), my insurance didn't cover the cost of either of these, which was astronomical. I went online and found this generic, which brought the cost down to 2.5% of either of the first two my doctor suggested. And it worked very well. I do get dry mouth and constipation, but these are manageable side effects and worth it for how it has helped me. Now instead of having to urinate every hour or so, the intervals between urination are more like 3 to 4 hours. I finally feel like a normal person again thanks to this drug."

For Urinary Frequency "After taking solifenacin for just a few days, my nighttime trips to the toilet reduced to 3 times when previously it had been as many as 6 times. I hope it will reduce those trips even further. The only negative effect has been slight constipation, easily put right by prunes."

Solifenacin for Urinary Incontinence "I've had stress urinary incontinence for over 2 years and never considered taking meds, pissed myself like every week and never slept good because it made me wake up like 2 or 3 times a night, plus having pain in my bladder. Started taking VESIcare 5 ml 5 months ago. Honestly, it's really good. I started seeing changes since the first month. I piss myself rarely now and don't wake up at night, maybe just once a night. I'll continue using it for 5 more months, maybe more. The only bad thing is the side effects, which are so annoying to me: really bad constipation, blurred vision, stomach pain, bad headaches, bad drowsiness, and fatigue, which affects my life because it makes me unable to do anything in my day, plus dryness. Me and my doctor still can't figure out the reason because it started when I was only 15. But anyways, it's a good med, just bad side effects."

For Urinary Incontinence "Started having urinary leaks a few years ago. Dr. prescribed Myrbetriq, so then constipation joined urinary incontinence. I stopped. Dr. said do Kegels and the leaking will stop. I could probably bench press a rhino with them at this point, but not only does incontinence continue, it gets worse. Dr. tells me to wear tampons to apply pressure from the inside against the urethra. Slows things down for a time, but in control is like 'oh, you challenging me?' and kicks it up a notch. I go through 2 more Drs who tell me I need a urethral sling, which I got. Still leaking with almost every step I take. The surgeon prescribes solifenacin 5mg. 4 weeks in and no change. I requested a 10mg dose. Day 2, no change. Back history: 2 vag births (6 lbs & 10 lbs resp - I am a small framed person, so it was difficult to carry and deliver #2). I have also had 5 hernia repairs. The surgeon suspects I have a connective tissue disorder, but that's not been proven. I am too young to spend the rest of my life wetting my pants. Please help me!"

For Urinary Frequency "Been taking 5 mg for 9 days except one day as agreed with doctor took 10 mg definitely helped with weeing all the time. Now I find it hard to see a lot, have lower back pain, am tired, so much constipation, and feel anxious, and am waking up at night feeling anxious. Pharmacist suggested halving the pill or taking it every other night. I am worried if this will make my weeing start again. I do not know what to do for the best."
