Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Antibiotics always give me a YI, but I never learn... I finished a round of Augmentin last Tuesday. On Friday, I felt a little itchy/burny on my outer vulva, so I requested a Diflucan script from my doc. Took the Diflucan Saturday morning. By Monday, everything from the rawness to the chunks had gotten worse, so Tuesday morning I set out to buy this little gem. Inserted at 9:30 a.m. Had to pee at 11:15 a.m., and that seemed to be the accelerant. Yes, it burns. Yes, it’s super uncomfortable. I had to leave work and come home. But by 2 p.m., I was chipper and burn-free. It’s now 11 p.m., and my lady bits feel about 95% back to normal. Granted, the Diflucan also probably helped that a bit. But nothing works like the ovule. I know it’s a “day or night” dose, but I do not recommend trying to be a daytime hero battling this egg internally. It’s a dose of medicine that they also sell spread out over three or seven days. Of course, it’s gonna be a lot more intense. But it WORKS."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is just horrible! I applied the Monistat 3-day prefilled applicator last night and after 20 minutes ran to the bathroom in an attempt to flush it out. I let cold water run down there for about half an hour before I felt temporary relief... enough to go to sleep. I just woke up a few hours later and felt like stuff was oozing out, so I flushed it again with cold water for a minute. After getting dressed to go out for a walk, I'm feeling the intense burn again. Not even sure I can make it out for the walk. Just sitting down, writhing in discomfort. The only thing keeping me sane is the idea that maybe my post will help someone else make the right decision. Please see a doctor first! NOT using this for the next two nights!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I got the 3 generic cream prefills from CVS. First night, the inside of my vagina began to immediately burn and itch, to the point where I was crying and doing yoga breathing to work through the pain. I washed it out and took Tylenol and finally fell asleep. I began to feel discomfort in my pubic area, like razor burn. Upon inspection, I saw that my entire pubic area was broken out in painful, itchy bumps and even onto my thighs. Stupidly, I gave the cream applicators another chance, and it was so much worse the second time. I showered to get the medication out. I've used the suppositories before and never had this problem, so I will definitely be going back to those. This should be taken off the shelves!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is what living in a volcano feels like. I got a yeast infection from antibiotics. Figured I could pick up some quick 3-day medicine at Target and be fine. Took a shower before bed and inserted the medication. In the time it took me to get from the bathroom to bed, I felt like a preheated curling iron had been inserted in my vagina. Then it felt like I was being electrocuted. This is no joke. I’ve done natural childbirth with two 10 lb babies, I’ll take that over this. After about 20 minutes of it not subsiding, I found all these reviews of similarly injured vaginas and was aghast. I immediately ran to the bathroom and drew a hot oatmeal and baking soda bath, and luckily that seems to be balancing out the pH levels. Stay away from this stuff."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Not even five minutes after insertion, I experienced possibly the most uncomfortable itching/burning sensation ever (worse than the YI I was already dealing with). I was actually prepared to wash it all out. I've gotten generic brand suppositories and creams from Walgreens that didn't cause me anywhere near the amount of grief this stuff has. Be kind to your body and don't put this anywhere near your lady bits! I'm actually reluctant to finish out the treatment due to the discomfort it causes."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I would rate this 0 if I could. Go to a doctor. Do not buy this even if they suggest it. I tried 7-day Monistat prefilled cream insertions. The first 2 days burned quite a bit. Was extremely uncomfortable. Thought it would get better with later applications, that it was just the product 'working' as they claim. The 3rd day was okay. The 4th day: HELL ON EARTH. 2 hours after inserting the cream, I was in tears. The raw burning/itching pain was worse than any yeast infection I've ever had in my life. If those yeast infections combined themselves together into a super yeast infection, it still wouldn't be half as painful as this cream. I would sew my vagina shut before I ever put this satan-made chemical cure near my body again. I'd feel more relief sticking a red-hot fire poker up there than this medicine. There's a special place in hell for anyone who recommends this product. May they face the wrath of a thousand burning vaginas scorned."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, sisters. I just discovered how to get almost-instant relief. I, like you, had my poor vagina and vulva on fire after using the cream. Once I read these reviews, like you, too late, I realized it wasn’t going to get better, and I jumped into the shower. After wiping off my vulva in the warm-hot water, I realized I needed relief inside my vagina, so I made a little vagina bath by cupping my hand under my vagina and letting my cupped hands fill with the very warm water. Somehow this warm water melted the cream, so it came out. I washed it off my hand and started again until all the cream came out. I can’t express to you what relief I feel now, lying in bed as I type this. It’s cathartic! Now I will be able to sleep the night. I still feel the discomfort of the YI, but at least the intense burning and itching of the woman-hating cream is gone. I hope this works for you too!! Sending love and sleep to you! The struggle is real!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had a mild YI, and I had seen Monistat 3 prefill was highly liked on other reviews. I will never use it again, though. I’m on night three, and I cannot get comfortable. I am on fire, and I have tried to wash out/off as much as I can, but it won’t stop burning. This discomfort is worse than the YI. Go to the doctor and get medicine, don’t use Monistat!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm 19. This is my first YI, and I'm taking the 7-day treatment. About 5 minutes after inserting, I started feeling more uncomfortable. Then the burning and itching were annoying, so I took ibuprofen and then I took Tylenol. Now I don't feel any more itching or burning, so I would take some pain medicine right after you insert it, that way, the itching and burning don't last as long. But when I pee now, it feels so much better, so I know it's working, and it's just night one, so I would recommend it. PS: the burning means it's working, ladies. And it's a lot cheaper than going to the doctors and spending over $300 just for an appointment when you can spend $13 on this product and get better!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, this is my second time using Monistat. The first time, I had the cream, and it was so uncomfortable, but it worked after a week, and that was like 4 years ago. Now, this second time, I had made my mind up that I was going to try a home remedy, so I used apple cider vinegar, and that relieved the burning and itching. But I didn't feel like it was getting better quickly enough, so I just ended up buying the ovule pack, and I must say it's getting better. I had no problem with the insert, it was just the cream that you applied for the itching and burning. Oh my goodness, it burns, but remember, that's just because it's working. I feel so much better."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was welcoming to a 3-day cure. I was looking forward to getting home and starting the journey to get rid of the recent issue. It was my first serious yeast infection. I showered. Waited for bed to insert the first application. At 10, I was well, now, it's as good as ever. I inserted it. Hard to do because it hurts to actually put in. I'm not sure why, it could be awfully dry. You'd think they'd consider that. But let me tell you, a discomforting insertion was nothing for the hell I was about to endure. It's a terrible burning sensation. It literally made my legs twinge. It'll fade out, and it'll come right back. Fingers crossed it gets the job done with one application because I don't think I can endure another. Good luck to all you ladies!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had BV and had to take antibiotics for it. It went away, but then I got a yeast infection from the antibiotics. I had used Monistat 3 before about a year ago with no problems, so I thought, why not use it again? They definitely changed the formula because, oh my god. I'm on the first night. The initial insertion wasn't too bad. I had mild burning, like the instructions said could happen. I got up to pee about 30 minutes after inserting, and it burned so badly after I peed. I could not sit still and was so uncomfortable. It went away after about 20 minutes of torture, but that cannot be normal. I am going to continue the treatment. I hope all of this discomfort is worth it. If you haven't started the treatment, DON'T. Go get an RX from your doc."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omg, never again. This is my second YI, the first one I got the oral medicine from the Dr. because I was pregnant. Well, this time I just went and got the Monistat 3 because I didn't want to wait at the Dr. all day. I never used it before, and I thought the pre-filled cream seemed okay, like straight to the point. Well... it was straight to the point, the point of no return. I started itching and burning 1000 times worse than before I inserted the cream. It's only day 1, but I will not be using the other two doses, I'll go get the suppository one instead. I had to get a towel full of ice and put it between my legs to try to ease the discomfort. I even cried because I was like it was never going to stop. NEVER AGAIN!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have your standard vaginal yeast infection. I went to Walgreens to purchase an over-the-counter cream and saw this combo box was on sale. Save yourself the misery, gals, and don't buy this product. I have never felt such misery. I feel like I just inserted a nest of red ants in lady town. I've been on fire for well over an hour and have taken a cold washcloth to wipe off as much as I could. How long shall this misery last? I'm taking the box and receipt back tomorrow for this junk. We're already miserable from an infection, and this just makes it a million times worse. Don't do it... just don't."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "1-day combo --- inserted the ovule and put the external cream on. Was fine for about 1/2 hr then fireeeeeee!!!! I was saying WHAT THE? I've used this before and it wasn't this bad. So I cleaned away the external cream and whatever was leaking out and applied cold compresses. I laid down with legs open just getting some fresh air, and after about 20-30 minutes, the itching and discomfort is almost gone, it just feels like before I inserted it. Since this is a high dose, it is stronger so would burn more... just apply it before laying down. DON'T USE THE EXTERNAL CREAM, it makes the itching worse!!!! Do cold compresses... good luck, everyone."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my second YI. The first time I used the generic version, Miconazole 7, and it worked fine. I was able to use it for 7 days and not experience anything bad. It was sold out this time, so I had to buy the actual Monistat 7. So, the first two nights it seemed to be working great. Then when I woke up in the morning after the third insert, my vagina was on fire! It was burning, not unbearable, just uncomfortable mostly. It burned for about 30 minutes. During that time, I did go back to the bathroom once to wipe the outside, and then I was able to go back to sleep. I started reading these reviews, and according to these stories, I’m not the only one. If anything, I can take the small amount of pain, and I still have 4 doses to complete. I’m a little nervous, but I do feel that it is effective. I feel like they should have things on the shelf that aren’t going to burn like this does. Anyway, I would say to go for the generic version first, if all else fails, then try the Monistat."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Think of this cream like this: you put a cream up your coochie, and every couple of seconds, you get this intense stinging sensation as if you’re being stung by bees, and it’s so itchy and uncomfortable that you question whether ripping off your entire vag is possible. Probably gonna fail my midterm because I stayed up all night trying to scrape the medication out. Definitely don't recommend, my vag is traumatized."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Dear God, I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing this product! The 1,000+ negative reviews would have given me pause or said, ok, I’ll wait and seek professional help. I’ve used this in the past, and it worked perfectly. Couldn’t get into my doctor in an acceptable timeline, so I gave it another go, and Jesus Christ, please save my vagina! Made the discomfort a million times worse. Like many on here, I showered and sat in Epsom salts, which helped with the itch, but it still, three hours later, feels like I chopped up ghost peppers and touched my vagina. NEVER AGAIN! I am currently looking at how I can report to the FDA because this is rubbish and should not be on the market! Ahhhh."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have recurring yeast infections and couldn’t get to the doctor until next week. I decided to try the name brand, which was the worst mistake of my life. Day one I used the suppository and cleaned as directed and had so minimal burning, but my skin was very irritated and sore. Assuming it was doing what it was supposed to, I decided to just use the cream on my vulva. Wrong! I looked in the mirror and saw frightening red bumps like pimples on my vulva. I have health anxiety and automatically went to Google and self-diagnosed. The burning was unbearable! I rinsed my vulva multiple times and took Benadryl and Tylenol to reduce the swelling, redness, and itching/discomfort. I had a little bit of my prescription cream left and applied it. This morning I woke up around 4 a.m. with a slight burning sensation and I grabbed my mirror and flashlight. The bumps were gone but still had redness and a swollen vulva. I’ll never use this product again. Seeing those bumps scared the living poop out of me."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Worst pain ever. Within a minute or two of inserting the Monistat 7 cream, the burning intensified extremely and sent me running into the bathtub to try to get it out, while freaking out. I’ve now been freaking out for the past half hour, thinking maybe to go to the ER. It’s been around 30 minutes, and the pain still hasn’t gone away. It has lessened a little because I think I got most of it out, but I’m still in a lot of pain and discomfort. Would not recommend this AT ALL. Worst burning sensation I’ve ever experienced."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first time I had a YI, I used a Walmart brand 3-day. I had no pain, no issues. This time I tried Monistat 1-day… never again. I told my boyfriend it felt like there were drops of sun in this. It has to have something to do with lava, fire, and fire ants, I think. I put it in around midnight and woke up at 5 a.m. in INCREDIBLE amounts of pain, itching, and discomfort. It’s almost 7, and the pain is finally slowing. It now only feels like subtle icy hot has been used on my hooha."

I really hope this is working because I feel a bit better now, but I am still dealing with an insane amount of discomfort. It’s 5:30, so I hope I can make it throughout my day WITHOUT any more burning hot lava effects. Unless you want to burn in hell for a couple of hours, I recommend buying this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am on day 2 of Monistat 7. The first night I inserted the cream, I was fine at night, but the next day, when I woke up to pee at 6:30 am, after I wiped and came back to bed, I could sleep with the itching burning pain. I never felt this discomfort in my life. I immediately applied hydrocortisone feminine itch cream, which burned even more!!! But after 10 minutes of laying butt naked with legs wide open fanning my vagina, the burn and itch went away. Last night I applied the cream again and same side effects, but it happened at night. I wouldn't buy this product again. There are other ways of curing a yeast infection other than going through this pain."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had no idea the reviews on this product were so negative. That was until I used it, and just like everyone else, here I sit with dramatically increased itching and burning. Now in the bath trying to soothe my vagina and distract myself from, at best, a very uncomfortable and at worst, truly painful experience. This sucks. Medicine should not make your symptoms worse! Why hasn’t the manufacturer changed the formula?"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Only use this product for mild yeast infections, otherwise, it burns like lava for hours on end. I have tried Monistat 1, 3, and 7 and will only use 7 as it is the most tolerable. I had a slight itch over the course of 3 months and didn't think much of it. No smell, discharge, discomfort during sex, or urination, so I didn't think it was a yeast infection, which I've had a few before. My doctor confirmed it was a yeast infection via pap results. I inserted the first treatment before bed, started itching within 5 minutes, and burning within 10. Very uncomfortable but not bad. Symptoms faded after an hour and I slept just fine. Day 2 had a moderate itch but no burning that lasted about an hour. On day 3, I had a slight itch I could very easily ignore. I felt nothing on days 4, 5, 6, and 7. The yeast infection is gone. It does the trick but will only be tolerable for a mild infection. If moderate or severe, get a prescription from your doctor and save yourself from the torture it will surely cause."
