Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I, unfortunately, have a very sensitive undercarriage and over the years I've become no stranger to the love/hate relationship with Monistat. Anyway, the point is, I consider myself an expert on the three-day Monistat. Night 1, depending on how bad the infection is, you’ll likely be miserable. The burning and itching is so real, but I’ve discovered that taking some Benadryl for the itching and some ibuprofen for the inflammation makes it much more tolerable. Usually, the next morning I feel 10 times better than the day before. Night 2 of treatment usually starts with some discomfort, but nothing like the first round. And by the last night, in my experience, there’s usually not much of an infection left, so no discomfort either! All in all, it gets the job done!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m here to add another installment or “what have I just put in my vag.” If you’re reading this, it’s probably too late. Just know you’re not alone. We all made the same mistake. Pretty sure my husband thought I was being super dramatic until I showed him some of these reviews. Currently sitting in a bath trying to wash the awful stuff out. Ugh. My vag is more uncomfortable now after using it than it was after I pushed a whole human through it. This is horrendous. Hang in there, fellow burning vag friends!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wish I would have read these comments before trying Monistat. I used the 3-day, and I am extremely uncomfortable right now. Cookie is on fire. I should have just used the external cream until I could go to urgent care or my OB-GYN. That internal cream is awful; I will never purchase again now that I know 1 pill would have had me cured."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so I realized I have a yeast infection after using a new type of soap. I went to a drug store to get meds. Usually, I get cheap stuff and it works pretty well, but I decided for some reason to get the more expensive Monistat brand this time. Well, I took a shower and got ready for bed. Inserted the medicine exactly how the directions say to. And literally, 30 seconds later, I was on fire and itching. This is terrible. The discomfort from the yeast infection is way better than going through this. It has been about 10 minutes, and I'm considering taking another shower. I came to Google for questions and found this chat group. I'm definitely not using this again!!!!!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Beware! This product makes you burn and itch like crazy down there. I bought the 1-day version, and honestly, I wish I didn't. It's like putting a burning ghost pepper in your lady bits. I've never been more uncomfortable. I had to take an Advil to numb the burning. I don't know how effective it is, since I just started it. Fingers crossed I wake up and bye-bye yeast infection."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I just used this cream almost 3 hours ago, and I think my vagina is about to fall off! It is worse than before! The intense burning sensation and discomfort. I was doing well with the vinegar, so I don't know why I bought this mess. Never again!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "First night using Monistat 7, burning like lava. Yesterday I had intense itching but didn't have the cream. Today the itching was almost gone, and I bought the medicine. I don't feel any itching, just immense burning sensation. I can handle it, but it's very uncomfortable and painful. Die fungus, die literally."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Okay, so I feel a lot better after reading everyone’s comments - and I most likely will continue reading them until this horrible burning and discomfort ends! I inserted the egg around 7 pm last night and had no issue until waking up at 6 am with some of the most discomfort I have ever experienced down there! It is so extreme that it is all I can think about! My YI symptoms weren’t severe, and it was my first ever, so I didn’t think a doctor's visit was necessary—I am currently regretting that. Now, I am not laying here crying, but I have been up for hours with an extreme burning sensation researching when this is going to end. If it is more than today, I will need to go to a doctor. I do not recommend ever taking this. I know I will not."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am hysterically crying in pain right now from this. It was fine for the first hour after inserting, but as soon as I got up, it started dripping out of me, and I cannot explain the pain/discomfort I am experiencing. I have never experienced this type of burning/itching. I want to die right now."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used the 3-day Monistat per recommendation of my OB-GYN nurse, and holy moly, this burns like no other. I jumped in the bath and literally scraped as much out as possible... that helped, but I am still more uncomfortable than before. I put coconut oil in and around, and that has drastically helped the burning and itching. Hope this helps. DON'T USE THIS PRODUCT!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Omg. I have had maybe 3 YIs in my life. I have used apple cider vinegar, which typically works. OTC prescription, easy. This is my first time using Monistat 3, and I am losing it. I am on day 2 and I don't know why I went back after day 1. After the first dose, I thought I was having an allergic reaction with how itchy my vag was. Definitely way worse than the YI itself. Day 2 is a little easier. It's still very uncomfortable. I will not be using the 3rd dose. I will say, however, the morning after the 1st dose, my vagina did feel a lot better. But I don’t think 2 hours of a flaming, itchy vagina is worth it. I’d rather have the YI."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Stick with it, ladies. Night 1 and 2 were so bad I thought something was wrong, and then I found this site and was relieved I wasn’t alone. It got much better night 3, barely any discomfort. Now on night 4, and I don’t feel a thing. Hopefully I’m on the downside of this nightmare."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I rate this medicine a 10 but give the discomfort a 6. I have had YI in the past, and this medicine cures it every time! But as soon as I have injected the cream or the egg-shaped capsule... HOLY FIRE IN THE GRAND CANYON! I walk around like a penguin holding my crotch like Michael Jackson. I moan in agony while patting my crotch, trying to put the fire out. I don't know why I do that, but it's my reaction. I am now laying in bed with an ice pack jammed there. At least this cures the yeast infection."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have not had a YI in about 20 years. Since I know the symptoms, when I felt irritated and itchy down there, although I had no discharge, I figured it was a YI, and to get the Monistat 7 cream. 20 years ago, it was not available over the counter, only through prescription. The first night, within minutes, the burning and itching started, and I was extremely uncomfortable. After a few hours, it stopped. Tonight is Day 2, and after insertion, I have no itching or burning sensation like I did the first night. I will continue to use all of this product for the entire 7 nights. Actually, there is no reaction at all on night 2. I guess the medicine started working after the first night. Hang in there and give it a chance."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "After 4 weeks of antibiotics and prednisone, I developed the dreaded YI. Got the Monistat 3 to hopefully resolve the issue by Monday morning. After inserting the cream, I feel like someone has taken a steak knife to my insides and dumped a bottle of hot damn inside to rinse it out. Sure I was going to pass out, I reached for my phone to find others with similar experiences. This is more effective than the Sunday sermon. Repenting of my sins now, I've taken pills and hope to pass out soon."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I cannot believe this product is allowed to keep being sold. Within minutes of using Monistat, for feeling slightly itchy, now I feel like I am on fire, being bitten by a thousand ants. How can all of the reviews for a product be having similar horrible reactions and this product still be on the market?"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’ve been doing this treatment for only three days. Every night after I shower, I insert the cream. The first 15-20 minutes are the worst - burning, itching, and irritation. The first time I used this product, there was absolutely no pain, a little discomfort considering it was my first time. I don’t know why this is hurting so much, I’m going to research the ingredients to see what might be causing this. I’m experiencing the pain right now, it’s awful, I want to rinse it out."

I used it about an hour ago, lay down... starting feeling the itching and burning right away, ran to the bathroom and tried flushing the medicine out. Ouch! Horrible. Do not buy!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I wish I came here before I went to the pharmacy! I bought the 3-day with hopes of immediate relief. A few minutes after inserting, I could feel the burn and irritation. It's causing more discomfort than the actual yeast infection! The burn is comparable to a hair relaxer that sets your scalp on fire."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Putting this in my vagina is a regret right up there among staying with my cheating ex-boyfriend and breaking my toe that one time. Literally cannot remember a time I was in such pain and discomfort. Seriously irritated right now and wishing more than anything I had read all these reviews first. Guess that's what you get for trusting the pharmaceutical industry. Definitely going to Planned Parenthood tomorrow to get the pill medication. Tossing this pronto and then throwing some shade at my mother for not warning me that it would turn my vagina into a fire-breathing dragon."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Good grief! This stuff comes directly from the fire pits. I have a yeast infection and was told to take the 7-day Monistat instead of Diflucan. First off, who designed the applicator? With its jagged edges, I’m certain every time I insert it, I’m shearing off a layer of my tender skin. Damn, it hurts! Can someone please get a woman to design this thing? Second, the minute I inserted the cream, it burned, stung, and the itching was magnified. I’ve been using Monistat off and on for over 13 years, and I have NEVER been this uncomfortable using this product. They must have changed the formula because of the intense itch/burn/pain. Don’t do it. Call the doctor and beg for mercy!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "On day 3 of Monistat 3... tonight is no different than the others... miserable with itching and pain... all I can do is clench my teeth, writhe in discomfort, and cuss... absolutely terrible. I have had yeast infections often since I was 14. I’ve never experienced a treatment so painful, you would think by now there would be some kind of painkiller in the formula. There has to be a better way. And I agree, the applicator is still so uncomfortable. If there are tampons that are comfortable and creams that soothe itch and pain, there could be treatments that offer the same. Especially for the price."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG!! I am speechless by how awful Monistat 7 is. I had no idea to come and look for these reviews, otherwise, I wouldn't be missing out on quality sleep to write this review. I have a high pain tolerance and rarely experience side effects to any meds or creams I take, but this was completely different. Immediately after inserting the cream into my vagina, my whole world was on fire. My YI has a mild itching sensation, but this was so bad that I couldn't tell if it was itching or burning. I felt stupid, as if I intentionally allowed fire ants to crawl in there. After thirty minutes of EXTREME discomfort and no relief, I tried my best to wash all of the cream away. My vagina is now red and irritated, and I have been unable to rest tonight. Ladies, please try oral relief if you don't have a prescription."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am sticking with the oral med next time! I am so uncomfortable I cannot sleep! Worst feeling ever! Burning is on 1000% right now, and reading these comments was almost the same exact experience I'm having. I purchased the miconazole 1 combination pack! Never again. Hoping it works despite the discomfort. I'm seeing a lot of positive outcomes over the negative side effects."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "These reviews are crazy. I usually don’t do reviews, but I felt it was necessary to share my experience. So I had been diagnosed with BV and was prescribed antibiotics. After finishing the antibiotics, the itching and burning were still present. I researched to find that taking antibiotics could cause a yeast infection. I bought probiotics, and I also bought the Monistat 1. My yeast infection had just arrived, so I caught it before symptoms could get worse, so I didn’t experience burning or pain after inserting the ovule-just a little discomfort. I then applied the cream. It says it could take up to 7 days to cure. By the 4th and 5th day, I wasn’t experiencing any more burning or itching. It took some time, but it worked. I applied cream for 7 days just for assurance. I’m all better now. I’m also taking my probiotics daily to try and prevent any more infections trying to attack my precious vagina! Everyone’s different. Good luck!"
