Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "My vagina has now experienced what hell is like. I'm certain this product is made from straight gasoline, and the applicator is the lighter. The first and last time I treat a yeast infection using OTC medications. I don't think a firehose can put out the fire I am experiencing. Thanks for nothing, Monistat 3 day."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m currently experiencing hell and can barely write this. I just inserted the first tube for the first time. I have a high tolerance for pain, and I am in hell. Do not take this stuff!! I have so much more to say, but I can’t take the pain! I just took a bath to try to get it all out, and it didn’t work, so I’m using an ice pack, and that’s not working! Screaming in pain and uncomfortable!!! Whoever man created this medicine needs to burn, burn, burn!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I seriously have no other way to put it. This treatment is awful. Not even 5 minutes after inserting the medicine, I began to feel itching and burning way worse than anything I have experienced with a YI. It's like I would almost rather have a YI than use this medicine again. I know, right? I couldn't sleep, I literally cried because of the discomfort and itching/burning coming from my vagina. I knew 'mild' irritation could occur, but this is horrendous. I am not sure how a product like this can be sold and advertised as an anti-itch preventative, but I will never buy or use this product again."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the Monistat 1. It burned and caused more discomfort than before I used it. Had to see my doctor for an oral prescription to cure the yeast infection. She told me to never use Monistat 1. It has a chemical in it that is supposed to make it stay in the vagina that causes extreme pain. She also said she doesn’t even know why they make it. Do not recommend!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I usually only get yeast infections when I'm on antibiotics for something else. They are usually minor, so I hate to waste a doctor visit on them. I've used the generic brands and the name brand of this product. I don't want to deal with 7 days of treatment, so I go for 3. A bit pricier, but I got lucky this last time and it was on sale at Walgreens with their rewards card. Anyway... just inserted the first dose. It caused me some slight tingling and discomfort at first for a few minutes, but nothing too bad, and after a few minutes, it subsided. I recommend it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I delivered an 8-pound baby by high forceps but have never experienced the discomfort and crazy irritation like I have from this product. This better freakin' kill the yeast because I don't think I could live through another 3 days of this. Took ibuprofen and Benadryl, but if I had anything stronger, I'd take it with a shot of whiskey. Wow, this stuff is painful!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my!! I have the 7-day treatment. On Day 1. Will not be continued. I inserted the cream and thought, okay...not bad...a little uncomfortable but okay. Went to sit on the couch. Holy moly. When I say on fire, I'm talking a lighter straight up the hoo-ha!!! I jumped up and ran to attempt to get it out!!!! Now I'm soaking in hot water. Never, I repeat, never use this stuff!! Felt bad before?? Nah, you'll wish you felt like before you did this to yourself!!! Don't worry, you're not dying, it just feels like it!!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have had recurring yeast infections for almost 20 years now. They must have changed the formula or something, because it never made me burn anywhere near this bad before. Recently, it's like inserting a chunk of lava! Especially Monistat 3 and 1. My doctor advised me to only buy Monistat 7, but I think my period will be here in 3 days, so I opted for the 3. BIG MISTAKE! My poor vagina is rocked! Pray for my coochie, people!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had to jump on the internet after inserting the miconazole cream (generic brand). The itching and burning was so intense that I thought I might be allergic. Luckily, I didn't scratch because I'm reading that it makes it worse. The first 5-10 minutes were rough. Luckily, the discomfort has died down for the most part, but it comes in waves still - a bit more mild but bearable now. It helped to read reviews. Thanks."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "-1 -- do not purchase this OTC yeast meds. I got 3-day M. for a self-diagnosed yeast infection. 3 day prefilled applicators. First two days were not as bad as tonight, the 3rd dose. I completely agree with every entry here 'MY VAG IS ON FIRE', insane burning feeling. No relief. I tried to pee, and it hurts - it's definitely after applying the meds. And this happens immediately. Dropped to the floor from the burn and discomfort. I don't believe any medicine in the world should cause so much suffering before it works or gets better. Do not try this unless you are trying to hurt yourself. Sincerely - Oakland, CA."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "LADIES!!! I have a very mild YI and knew I had one from previous ones. I decided to go to my local drugstore and get some cream since I have before. Let me tell you that day 1, 15 SECONDS after I inserted the cream, I was in flames. I felt like my vagina was going to light up! It’s like a spicy pepper had a baby inside me. Do not scratch, it can make it worse. You need to let the cream do its job, it will clear your YI, but these side effects will make you cry and reconsider, so take NyQuil, inject the cream, and try to sleep it off ASAP!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I would never tell somebody to go and buy this product. I'm 35 weeks pregnant. I have a yeast infection, and I was told by the pharmacist this is just as good as any yeast infection cream treatments. I took the Monistat 7 Day treatments. First day out of 7, my vagina was on fire, it was burning. I don't need to feel this type of pain before I push out a baby. I had to run my vagina under cool water until it stopped burning. It was, I would say, an 8 for pain and discomfort. I would never suggest this cream for anybody. If that is how they try and deal with yeast infections, that is ridiculous."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ladies, please don't use this. I’ve used Monistat 1 and 3 before, and I’ve never experienced what I am right now. Usually, it’s normal for it to feel a little bit uncomfortable and tingle a little bit. But after 2-3 minutes after inserting the cream, my coochie was on literal fire. I tried laying in my bed to see if the pain would go away... it didn’t. It got so bad that I had to hop in a cool bath. Of course, that didn’t work, if anything, it made the burning sensation 20 times worse. I was in the bath for 30 minutes, crying my eyes out. It got so bad that I almost went to urgent care. This is my first day taking this, and it will be my last. I’m going to the doctors or quick care in the morning. Listen to these reviews, ladies, please. I’m still in pain right now. 10/10 wouldn’t do this stuff again!!!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This may be TMI, but I first noticed something was up when I saw my vagina was swollen. Then I noticed discharge the next day, so I went ahead and got Monistat 7. I’ve used Monistat One twice before and had no issues, but this YI is more severe, to be fair. I’m on night two as I write this, and each time it’s been totally fine UNTIL I have to pee. It was probably in for a few hours with no issues, peed, and then 20 seconds later I’m in so much discomfort. I’m glad I’m not the only one! The next day, though, I felt a lot better. I also had put the cream around my vag as the instructions suggest, but I now know that contributes to the burning. I plan to stick with it because I’m committed now, but basically - if you need your YI gone, take this! It will work, but be prepared for the discomfort. (I’m laying in bed at 5:30 am with an ice pack down south)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, I had a YI about 8 months ago and decided to use Monistat 7. Yes, it burns like hell! But only because it's working. As the days go by, the burning and itching will diminish. By day 5, I hardly felt anything. And on day 7, I was back to normal. About a week ago, I started with another YI and decided to use the 3-day. It didn't work. I had to go back and get the 7-day treatment. Again, it burns and itches like crazy, but because I've used it before, I know it will pass. It is very uncomfortable, but hang in there. It does work if you use it every day the way it says."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If you're reading this, it's because, unfortunately for you, it's too late and you've already burned off your lady bits with this cream. I only wish I had thought to Google Monistat before putting it on my precious vagina. One of the reviews mentioned giving birth to fire ants, and I'd say that is spot on. I feel like if I looked at 'it' in the mirror, it would hiss at me for putting it through this misery. I had to jump into the bath with flaming hot water and try to wash it out."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have been on antibiotics off and on for the last couple of months, definitely not my first yeast infection. I've never used Monistat before, so I figured I would try it since it's Saturday and I can't go to the doctor till Monday. Used the cream right before bed and didn't last two minutes, literally couldn't take it, the burning and itching and pain. Miserable, it took me over an hour to remove the cream and I'm still uncomfortable! I will never buy this again, I'll just be uncomfortable till Monday. I don't suggest anyone purchasing this product, especially if they have a history of sensitive skin or anything. I'm not sure why they would continue a product that everyone is having the same result."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "I gave this product a 9 purely on the fact that it did, in fact, hurt like hell using it the first night. It was VERY uncomfortable the first treatment: burning, itching, painful. Remember, I would assume the amount of pain that's caused is based on how bad the infection is. Being pregnant (24 weeks), I tried to wait it out without medication and couldn't. A few things to mention... The first night's treatment sucks, it's uncomfortable, painful, and lasts a little while (maybe an hour), but it does subside and you're able to sleep. Because I'm pregnant, I do wake up at least twice a night to pee, and the first wake-up I had there was no more pain, itching, or burning (RELIEF). That was worth the uncomfortable hour I had. STICK WITH IT, trust me!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Only on day 1 and, like everyone else, experienced insane itching and discomfort upon application. Seriously thought about scraping it out with a Q-tip, but after a little Google searching, found throwing an ice pack between my legs and lying down so much better! Honestly, I figured I'd suffer through it to get rid of the infection. But it's so much more bearable when you ice your lady parts."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first night I used it, it was super uncomfortable. The itching and burning were so bad I thought I was gonna go crazy! It’s because it’s killing the yeast. Make sure to buy some Vagisil anti-itch cream and use it the first night because the itching and burning will be awful right after you insert it. Vagisil makes that go right away. I woke up the next morning and didn’t itch at all. Don’t stop using it just because it itches terribly the first night you use it. Inserting it didn’t itch at all after that. I got the “Monistat 7 Complete Therapy.” It has the cooling wipes and the external cream in addition to the treatment and insert applicators. Make sure to use all three products for all seven days. It’s worth it to get the seven-day and use the entire regimen. I’ve used the one-day and the three-day before, and it felt better for a few days and came back. This one kills the entire infection for good. Great product. I highly recommend it. Just stick with it and use the entire seven nights!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "So the only reason I agreed to do this in the first place was because I couldn’t take the medicine the doctor can give you for a yeast infection because I am pregnant. So I just tried this out, and I was fine at first until I got up, and then I suddenly got this itching and burning sensation, and I’m not going to lie, it’s almost unbearable because it’s so uncomfortable, and I started freaking out. But after reading the reviews, I guess this is pretty common. My advice if you are going to take this: ONLY DO IT IF THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN GET THE PILLS FROM YOUR DOCTOR, and when using this, make sure you are not getting back up out of bed and just apply it and stay exactly where you are and go to sleep (if you can). I just hope to see results, and hopefully, night two is not as bad because it is not a fun experience at all, but I do not think the product is bad, it just has to work its magic in a super uncomfortable way!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Holy moly, who created this stuff? 45 minutes in and the burning finally slightly subsided! After I used a freezing cold baby wipe to try to soothe my nether region and itch what I could. Still burning. Not as bad. 10/10 won't use again. I’d rather deal with the mild yeast infection discomfort than this holy mother of pain."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do not use this product. I used the one-night generic Monistat version from Target, and as soon as I inserted the medicine, I was uncomfortable. Ten minutes later, I was in agonizing pain and crying, writhing in pain on my bed. I then tried to take a bath to get some of the medicine out of me and couldn't even sit still in the bathtub. I finally woke up my roommate to get her to take me to the hospital. I was crying and in agonizing pain for four hours. My roommate calmed me down and convinced me that I would be alright, and I used yogurt on my vagina and colloidal silver. I then took some pain medication, strong stuff, and had to use an ice pack between my legs to get myself to stop crying. Do not use the one-night products! Ever!!!"

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had a yeast infection while pregnant. Doctor recommended 7 days. It definitely works. Be prepared for itching in my case for at least the first 45 minutes of use. I would recommend inserting at least 1 hour before bed. Otherwise, you will be unable to go to sleep. Cures it. Very uncomfortable after inserting cream."

Miconazole topical for Vaginal Yeast Infection "This product is horrible. You would think that after applying this cream you would feel at least somewhat better and at ease, well, that's not the case here. It made my lady parts burn and itch to the point where I couldn't take it anymore and had to take a shower for 40 minutes, and I'm still in discomfort! And no, it does not feel better after 3 hours. Yes, your symptoms of the YI improve, but I'm telling you it's not worth it!"
