Ixekizumab "After a long streak of feeling good on Enbrel, which wore off after 9 years, tried a round of alternatives. Failed results for the last 3 years from Humira, Cosentyx, and Cimzia from likely being too adjusted. Pleasantly surprised by early improvements on Taltz. Hoping it sustains. Only 3 months in, but felt obligated to share early positivity that I hope will sustain and grow. Definitely took the 3 months to feel improvements, which have lasted 1-2 weeks/month."

Ixekizumab "I am on the 4th day and feel less burning, sharp neck pain, and less body pain that's been constant for 5 years. I tried Humira, Cimzia, and Enbrel, and they all made me feel flu-like with no pain relief. I am praying that I can keep waking up and not suffering all day. I am so excited that I might have my life back and think I cracked a smile this morning."

Ixekizumab "The medication gave me a good deal of relief and greatly shortened the time it took to feel like a human after waking in the morning. I'm a 60-year-old man in otherwise terrific shape. I work out regularly as a way to keep my arthritis from diminishing my range of motion and becoming debilitatingly painful. Despite the many received benefits, I am considering going off of it. Last year, a small puncture wound went rapidly out of control and became septic in very short order. Several surgeries, two hospitalizations, and many months on IV antibiotics. It was terrifying and life-threatening. I almost lost the infected limb. The infection could have been avoided had I not been on the immune suppressant Taltz. The stuff definitely works as advertised, and I was warned about the increased risk of infection. I simply had no idea that the infection could have advanced so quickly and become so dire. I will, of course, be speaking with my doctor about alternatives."

Ixekizumab "With Taltz: In 3-4 months, sacroiliac joint pain went from 5 to 0. I don’t think about it anymore. No side effects, although the injection hurts—looking forward to the rollout of citrate-free Taltz. Taking #5 dose in a week."

Ixekizumab "I’m on Taltz about a month now. My insurance chose it for me (which shouldn’t be legal). The pain of the injection pen is silly high. Then you get lumps at the injection site. The joint pain has been much worse than the last medication. Really bad blurred vision. Neck, shoulder, and arm pain. I don’t recommend it, but I’m so glad it worked for a few on here. I haven’t had my liver checked, but I’m going to be careful with it. It’s hard to believe anyone would feel better on this."

Ixekizumab "Was recently on Taltz for 6 months. It has always been a hassle to order the next dose every month, so sadly in November of 2021 I could not return calls and skipped that dose. But then in December they started calling again, and always when I had zero time to go through the 15-20 minute rubbish in order to get my prescribed med. So now January, and I am starting to feel my AS symptoms coming on, but a million times worse than I have ever experienced. I have been on just about every other biologic. Never an issue once I stopped those. Is it possible that Taltz has a severe withdrawal problem? Has anyone else experienced this after stopping Taltz? My pain is so bad, and my nerves are irritated through the roof. I am short with people and can’t get good sleep."

Ixekizumab "I have been on Taltz for a few years now and am doing well. I take one injection of 80 mLs per month. I can tell when my shot is due as it seems to wear off the week before it is due and my stiffness returns. I usually have a circular red raised area for a couple of days at the injection site, but it is worth the benefits for me."

Ixekizumab "Took the loading dose, two injections 160 mg on Thursday and started a flare on Saturday with severe lower back, right hip, and right shoulder pain. By Tuesday, had to start prednisone. Is this a fluke? Does it take time to work? How much time? When I started Humira in February, I instantly had a decrease in pain and was absent from pain for 4 months. Unfortunately, I had to stop Humira due to the new onset of exercise-induced asthma, which is an adverse side effect."

Ixekizumab "I was very hesitant to begin with Taltz. I thought I would not be able to inject myself and was concerned about the side effects. However, the injection is so easy and painless. I have been on Taltz for about 15 months and I have experienced no side effects. With my condition, I experience high inflammation, a lot of stiffness and have a hard time climbing steps. I could not walk with any speed. Since starting Taltz, I have no aches and pains. I can climb up steps without holding onto the rail, my stiffness is minimal, my inflammation levels are low, I can even touch my toes, and I am able to walk at a quicker pace. This medication has saved me! I have insurance through my job which covered the medication 100%. I am retiring and will be unable to continue with Taltz as it is not covered by Medicare or prescription drug coverage, and the cost is beyond anything I could afford."

Ixekizumab "I have been on this for around 10 months. The injections are extremely painful as they contain citrate, which burns. Although there is a new citrate-free version now coming out. I wasn’t totally convinced Taltz was helping, and the last few months, the pains of AS during the night are really bad, so hoping I will change to something else. Side effects: losing hair and turned very wispy. I get site injection redness and fatigue."

"I felt generally ill after the first dose but followed the doctor's advice to keep taking it for three months. It got progressively worse after each shot. It made me even more exhausted than I was before starting it, I was sleeping at least 20 hours a day for a week or so after each injection. My foot pain went from bad to debilitating by the end of three months. Digestive issues began as mild constipation about six weeks in and progressed to stabbing stomach pains every time I ate, followed by constipation, followed by severe diarrhea. This is the first biologic drug that I've tried, and I'm very discouraged to not only have zero improvement in my symptoms, but some symptoms got worse and I picked up a few new ones. The only positive was that the injection pen was easy to use and almost completely painless now that it has been reformulated to remove citric acid, so don't let that part stop you from trying it. However, it was a nightmare to obtain the drug from the specialty pharmacy."

Ixekizumab "I'm still learning as it's only been 4 months, but it is definitely helping. My hip pain has gone down, and I have sporadic joint pain, but I notice in my body about 2 days before I need the shot, and then I'm good. Only once have I had a site itch for that day and once have had a lot of joint pain the day after an injection. But that's it. I take 80 mg once a month in an injection. It is very easy to use. I am able to go back to the gym and do modified workouts without any hip pain."

Ixekizumab "I have been using the 80 mg auto-injector for over a year. It has helped decrease spine swelling and pain by 80 percent. I do continue to have fatigue. I give this medicine 9/10 for effectiveness."
