For Headache "I am working in a hospital and suddenly I had a headache and felt heavy at the same time. So I went to the pharmacy, asking them to give me a tablet to relieve the headache and heaviness. This was what they gave me, and it was great."

For Period Pain "I stopped birth control after basically being on it all my life and had the worst cramps ever. Couldn't move. Had to cancel all my plans every month, I was in so much pain. Naproxen did nothing. I was skeptical of this, but 800 mg every 6 hours from the onset of bleeding for 3 days, and I feel NOTHING!!! No pain, not even discomfort! On day two, I get some breakthrough twinges at times, but more times than not, I feel nothing at all. Highly suggest anyone try this, even if other drugs didn't help!"

For Toothache "I recently started experiencing a constant toothache from one of the wisdom teeth that had yet to be pulled. Of course, this happened when I was on vacation, and I couldn't get in to see my dentist for almost a month (knowing in all likelihood it would have to be pulled). I used 600 mg of name brand Advil (coated) up to every 6 hours, and it worked consistently. The pain wasn't completely gone, but it was almost unnoticeable. I also had consistent results with 200 mg Advil Liqui-gels and 200 mg Walgreens Capsules. I did not have any luck using Target-branded coated tablets. Happy to say I was finally able to get my problematic tooth pulled. They prescribed an 800 mg tablet every 8 hours. So far, so good."

For Headache "Had bought 200 mg ibuprofen over the counter today at the pharmacy while receiving my medications. Never did think too much of Tylenol and always did hear the horror stories of Tylenol and liver failure growing up, so as I've become an adult, I've weaned towards ibuprofen. I had a killer headache and took only one 200 mg ibuprofen. Great relief; my headache is long gone."

For Pain "I am a pretty big ibuprofen taker and have never had problems with ibuprofen ever. I tried a major brand after my PA prescribed three 200 mg every 6 hours. The pharmacy gave me this brand, and upon taking the first dose, I found I felt extremely horrible and was having a severe, stroke-like allergic reaction. Most horrible experience, truly."

For Pain "Currently experiencing torn cartilage in my jaw after having my bottom impacted wisdom teeth pulled. The on-call surgeon suggested these as well as the leftover oxycodone from my surgery. The tear happened about 8:35 this evening. Since then, I've taken 3 oxycodone and 4 ibuprofen 800 mg, and nothing is taking away the pain. They did the job for the pain after surgery, but unfortunately nothing is doing it now."

"Effective within 12-20 minutes. I used this for painful attacks of level 7-8 nerve pain from occipital neuralgia and trigeminal neuralgia. The pain was quickly reduced to 1-2 and let me get back to life. Don't take too much or you'll get ulcers, so I hear. I rotate with Tylenol for pain. Lasts five to six hours."

For Chronic Pain "I was prescribed ibuprofen 800 mg for chronic pain due to fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis in the hips, back, neck, shoulders, and knees. The ibuprofen causes my face to swell into my ears, causing my ears to feel painful and clogged. Every time I take it, it causes my inner ear to swell, and it's a very uncomfortable feeling."

For Period Pain "So this pill was really effective. Immediately after I took the pill, it had a positive effect on my cramps and back pain. I get terrible pain when it comes to periods, and I usually take 3 pills per day on the first day. Then after that, I'm good. Before, I used Panadol, and it didn't really have a strong effect on me, so I was dealing with pain, but less. It still hurts uncomfortably, though. The pill is small and overall good because no other pills have actually helped me. Also take this into consideration, but the pill will delay your period to finish."

Ibuprofen for Muscle Pain "When I'm suffering from dysmenorrhea, I take Advil as my pain reliever, and it works for me, and I feel well after I take this medicine. I started to use Advil as my pain reliever when I was 18 years old, and until now I'm 45 years. I take Advil every time my dysmenorrhea attacks. I also recommend it to my daughter, she said, 'Mama, it is very effective for me also.'"

Ibuprofen for Period Pain "I have PCOS, endometriosis, and cysts in my ovaries, and have extremely painful periods to the point where I can't even get off my bed. The cramping literally feels like labor pains! My back and muscles ache, and I get really strong migraines. I tried multiple medications and even have prescription ibuprofen, but it doesn't even help like the Advil Liqui-Gels."

Ibuprofen "Unbearable pain when trying to breathe. Morphine sulfate had no noticeable effect on the pain. When considering that pleurisy was an inflammation condition, I took two green Advil gel capsules. Within 15 minutes, the pain of my lung dragging on my rib cage had died down to background sensation, and in a half hour, it was almost nondetectable. I did this six times over 24 hours, and all seems to have subsided."

For Period Pain "My period cramps are absolutely crippling and the worst pain that I've ever felt. I can't do anything but curl up, rock back and forth, and cry. 400 mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours or so makes me feel practically pain-free."

Ibuprofen for Period Pain "I've had debilitating period pain since I started my periods at 11 years old. I get weak and have painful cramps, can't function. Feels like having a miscarriage every time. Taking 800 mg ibuprofen doesn't touch my pain. Midol is the only thing that helps. Until I was recently put on the generic form of Mobic. This has been a high relief for me. I started at 11 years old and am 43 now. I don't like taking it every day, but it was prescribed for arthritis and has been a lifesaver!!!"

Ibuprofen for Headache "Always keep this stuff around. When I catch a real bad headache, this is lifesaving. Tylenol doesn't seem to do it for me. Advil goes to work. I no longer need oxygen tanks with Advil. Four of these and I can get back to life or sleep. Really, really comes in handy."

For Gout, Acute "Had a gout attack in the night, of course. Took 3x200 Advil liquid gels. Within an hour or so, was able to sleep. Woke up in the morning and pain was at least half. Continued taking 2x200 every six hours for the next two days, and it really made this bout of gout tolerable."

For Headache "I have always found ibuprofen to be the best pain reliever for whatever ails me. However, recently I had what I thought was a sinus headache that could become an infection, so I doubled down on the ibuprofen along with decongestant daily for at least 2 weeks. BEWARE! I developed what is called a “rebound headache,” which occurs when you take too much of any NSAID pain reliever for a headache. It works to relieve the headache, and then it doesn’t, and you end up with a worse headache. This is a real thing. I’m now starting month #4 with a headache that comes and goes but is always on the periphery. Now limiting my ibuprofen to every 3 days and praying for some permanent relief. Be careful with ibuprofen."

For Period Pain "Poor! Obviously, a male must've been the person behind the making of these tablets because they are poor! Too mild. When a woman takes painkillers for menstrual pains, it means they don't want to feel anything! But these tabs don't eradicate the pain like other regular pains do. In fact, Nurofen Plus is far better than the one for menstrual pains. I just think this was another way to expand their product line in the market to increase their customer base and profits! Nurofen guys, relook at it please!"

Ibuprofen for Headache "Stay away from this. Took this medication at 5 am when I woke up with a headache. Took an Advil Extra Strength. Shortly after, I was puking my guts up for like an hour. I had an exam that morning too. Needless to say, I failed my exam. Thank you, Advil. I do not recommend this."
