For Birth Control "I do not recommend this at all! I switched off of Kelnor to Blisovi because I was having long, heavy periods. I would gladly take the periods back over this. Now I have horrible acne on my shoulders, back, and chin (which I've never had), constant breast pain, occasional random cramping, I bled the entire first month, and I never have any energy! In the months prior to Blisovi, I had worked so hard to lose around 10-12 lbs... 6 weeks into Blisovi and I've gained 8 lbs of it back. I never wake up feeling like myself. I would definitely recommend Kelnor or Gildess over this one."

For Birth Control "I was on Mylan prior to this, and I had nothing but actual positive side effects (weird, huh?). Anyway, out of the blue, I go and pick up my prescription to find out it was switched to Blisovi™ 24 Fe, and at first, everything was fine... until, like, a month after, where I noticed I had really bad fatigue. Then came the hair loss, then towards the end, I started breaking out... to the point where I couldn’t take it anymore. I would wake up tired and stay tired all day long, and not to mention the horrible feeling of constantly shedding clumps of hair. Please do not take this, ladies!"

For Birth Control "Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! I've been on this pill for 4 weeks now. The worst 4 weeks of my life. Days after I started to take it, there is a zit party on my forehead! I have had extreme anxiety at least 3 times a week. My mood swings are uncontrollable, and sex drive is at an all-time low. I would not recommend this pill to anyone. Going from Microgestin to Blisovi due to insurance not covering it is so not worth it. I'll pay for the pill rather than have these awful side effects."

For Birth Control "I was on a different birth control but switched because I didn't like how bloated I felt. I have been on this pill for about a year and just recently started tying two and two together. I've never really had bad acne in my life, and this pill has caused me to have severe breakouts around my chin and mouth, and I'm talking like several huge whiteheads at once. I am always bloated and eat a plant-based diet. I'm going off this pill starting today. I'd rather just not have sex and avoid getting pregnant that way if it's going to make my skin this bad and make me hate my self-image."

For Birth Control "I have been on this BC for a little less than a month, and I absolutely HATE it! I have gained 6 pounds for no reason, I have been spotting the entire time, I have broken out (I never get acne usually), and I am super irritable. I don’t recommend this BC at all, I will be requesting to change ASAP."

For Birth Control "I have never left a review on a medication, but I need other women to be warned! I was on this two months, and it was the WORST two months. I gained 13 pounds, my acne flared up like never before, I was constantly nauseous (throwing up almost every day), breakthrough bleeding if you are even 10 minutes late taking the pill, but the absolute worst side effect was how heightened my anxiety and depression became. Panic attacks almost every day, and they were so severe and worse than they have ever been. Crying LITERALLY all the time about everything. Did not have any desire to leave my house, and when I did, I was so anxious it wasn't even worth it. Even if you aren't sure how your body will react to this pill, I would NOT chance it."

For Birth Control "I was on this birth control pill for 10-11 months. It caused me to have periods during week 2 of the pills, vaginal dryness, a lot of hair loss and breakage, really bad embarrassing acne, weight gain, bloating, constant infections, PMS symptoms, etc. I kept going to my OBGYN thinking I had cancer or something was broken. She told me to keep taking them. No way. I quit taking them 2 weeks ago, and I feel better already. I'm just afraid it might have done some fertility damage. Time to find a new OBGYN and stay off of birth control pills because the side effects aren't worth it! Just will track my ovulation and avoid sex on those days. It's sad OBGYNs tell you to stay on pills with all these negative side effects, they don't truly care."

For Birth Control "I don't leave comments on medicines, but this was the worst birth control I've been on, so I want to make others aware. I'm just finishing my second pack and have gained weight, got cystic acne, and have been more prone to anxiety attacks. I've had a lot of headaches and very irritable. I'm switching off this birth control after this week since I only have 3 pills left, and my doctor wants me to finish this pack before starting a new one. I highly advise not taking this medicine -- the side effects have been unbearable."

For Birth Control "I've been on this birth control for about 9 days and have gained 5 lbs. I thought I was putting on weight because of the holidays, but it's definitely the pill. I've never suffered from acne, and I've been breaking out on the side of my face, which is the hormonal area. When picking up my birth control at a CVS, I wasn't aware of the change. I will be contacting my doctor and letting them know how upset I am with the changes and not being made aware. I will no longer be continuing this pill and do not advise anyone else to. After reviewing the reviews, everything everyone else is stating is exactly what's occurring to me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PILL!"

For Birth Control "I started Blisovi 24 Fe birth control 4 months ago. At first, everything seemed okay, but these last 2 months have been horrible. I am 30 years old and I have NEVER had any issues with acne. Now I'm constantly finding new bumps popping up around my chin and forehead. The last 8 or so days left in my pack, I feel like complete crap. My stomach constantly cramps, I feel constipated, I feel nauseous, I have headaches, I feel tired, and I'm constantly hungry. I'm bloated all of the time. My doctor has now changed me to Junel... hoping for better luck."

For Birth Control "I took Lamed 24 Fe and then got switched to this. It seems the same except I've had a few headaches, but that could be due to being sick the past two weeks. I've gained a few pounds, but that could be because I went from a 32C to now a 30DDD. My skin is about the same, maybe a little less breakouts, nothing bad at all."

For Birth Control "I started out with Microgestin originally, and when I moved, I had to switch pharmacies. In doing this, they told me I had to take a different generic because they didn't carry the same brands as my old pharmacy. At first, this was fine, I was on one brand I can't remember and then Gildess. These were fine until, 3 months ago, they switched me to Blisovi. This drug is a nightmare. I'm 5'2 and a freshman in college. I went from 115 to 140. 140!! On someone my height, it's very noticeable and embarrassing! Not only that, but my acne is the worst it's ever been my whole life. Do not take this 'generic.' Even if it's a milligram off, your body reacts, and this has really messed up my life. Praying I'll be able to work it off..."

For Birth Control "This stuff is the worst. I have ovarian cysts, so this is what my gyno recommended. I have been on it for 8 months or so and had spotting between periods for several months, and now I haven’t had a period in 3 months. Sounds great, right? Not so much. I am constantly bloated and uncomfortable. My depression, insomnia, and anxiety are worse than ever, as well as my acne. I wouldn’t recommend this to my worst enemy."

For Birth Control "I was switched to this medication because every year I tend to 'outgrow' a medication and get non-stop periods. But this one was by far the worst out of the 10 I've ever been on over the past 10 years. I got acne so severe that I had to go on Accutane, and at age 28, that's really embarrassing, and my face is still covered in scars. I never had acne before this medication. Also, the cramping all month never went away, constant spotting, etc. Mood swings, bloating, crazy weight gain. And anxiety and migraines like you couldn't believe. I wouldn't give this medication to my worst enemy."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Blisovi 24 Fe for about 4 months now, and it’s honestly been fine for me. I’ve read bad reviews and have been scared, but, as with any birth control, you have to be willing to wait out the first few months and let your body adjust to the pill. For me, my periods are light and come on the second brown pill and last maybe 3 days. In the first 2 months, and sometimes now, I do get upset easier, but it’s nothing crazy. This pill keeps my skin clear for the most part, except when I’m taking the brown pills, I do experience some pimples. As far as contraception, it’s been good to me. I do feel like I’m bloated sometimes, but with any pill, your body weight may fluctuate. But I have no serious problems with this pill! Allow your body 3-6 months to adjust before freaking out."

For Birth Control "So after being on this pill for a year and a half, I see all of these horrible comments about it, but honestly, I think it’s amazing. Acne was gone, periods were lighter and less painful (mind you, I had severe cramps that made it impossible to move, I’m sure lots of females know exactly what I mean), and it fixed all of these problems for me."

For Birth Control "I know birth control can be different for everyone, but for me, I have no complaints! With Blisovi, I didn't have any mood changes, weight, or acne changes. I did notice the increased and thickened vaginal secretions, but that's normal in trying to prevent egg fertilization, so that is to be expected. My first three months of taking it, I had my period mid-pills and not during the placebo pill week, but after those three months, I haven't had a period at all (and I'm not pregnant, I checked). My OB/GYN said some women experience lighter periods or none at all on Blisovi, so that's awesome for me!"

For Birth Control "I already get occasional cystic acne, typically when I'm about to start my period. This pill made it so much worse. Since I started taking it, my skin has been consistently erupting, my face is puffy and swollen, and on top of that, I've been experiencing depressive symptoms. I already have anxiety, and it's hard to say if it's the pill making it worse or if it's environmental circumstances, but I don't have an external cause for feeling as depressed as I have since I've started taking this pill. I've been on other birth control pills such as Ortho Tri-Cyclen without any of these problems. I do not recommend this pill, and I am so disappointed with my experience taking it."

For Birth Control "I'm on continuous BC, and my pharmacy switched me to this in mid-December after I had been on Microgestin for years. I've gained 15 lbs (I'm relatively active and had not changed my diet), have acne (I'm 49 and have never had an acne problem), I've had to deal with spotting off and on - sometimes almost two full weeks of heavy spotting - and some of the worst cramps I've ever had. This is the worst! I have a doctor's appointment this week and am hoping they'll change it. Otherwise, I'll be stopping this pill immediately and just deal with having a regular irregular period!"

For Birth Control "I got prescribed this medication because previously I was on Trinessa, which was giving me week-long periods. The plus side of this medication is that I have 2-day periods, none at all, or just some spotting. So thank goodness for that. However, I have only been on it for a few months. The negative side is that it has caused so much acne. I never have had issues with acne, maybe a pimple here and there. I use Epiduo every night, which I have been prescribed for 7 years, but that doesn't even help. I have acne on my cheeks, big red pimples on my forehead, some on my chin... it's ridiculous. Decided to call my GYN and am getting switched to Mononessa. Hopefully, I still have very short/no periods, but my acne will also clear up!"

For Birth Control "Awful! Took Microgestin for years. Pharmacy gave me this Blisovi because they were out of Microgestin and assured me this was 'the same thing.' No way! Took it for 6 weeks - cramps, spotting, nauseous, headaches, gained 5 lbs (and I hardly ate because I had no appetite!), broke out all over my chin/neck area, had my period for 10 days! Ugh. Never again."

For Birth Control "I used to be on Loestrin FE and loved it, but the pharmacy switched it to Blisovi, and since I've started taking it, I'm up 15-20 lbs, depending on the day. I work out every day and have a very healthy diet, yet no matter what I do, the weight won't drop. Being someone who struggled with weight naturally, I got to a goal body fat/weight only to have it spike so rapidly is extremely upsetting. Not only is my weight up, but my face breaks out all the time, and my anxiety as of late has been awful. I do not recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "Since starting Blisovi 24, I’ve been experiencing horrible diarrhea, so bad that I’m afraid to go out/go to work. I’ve been to my PMD thinking I may have IBS/Celiac; it’s that bad. Lab tests show it’s neither, but my Dr. recommended a colonoscopy if it doesn’t subside with a change in diet. I changed my diet, and I’m still no better. After reading others' reviews on this birth control, I’m so upset to put two and two together and realize maybe this has been caused by the birth control. I have horrible cystic acne, which I have never experienced in my life before. I’m so embarrassed of what my face looks like; this started about 2 months ago. I have not been able to lose weight despite changing my diet. I have stayed on this pill as my husband is going to have a vasectomy, so I was just going to stay on it until that was done. But after realizing that all of my issues may be due to this birth control, I’m stopping it immediately. AVOID THIS PILL - PLEASE!!"
