Cyclobenzaprine for Sciatica "This was the first time I had ever taken cyclobenzaprine. I took one (1) 10mg tablet on a Thursday evening around 6:30 pm, and all day the next day I felt slight confusion, loss of concentration, and it felt like my head was in a fog. It did not help with pain but allowed me to get some much-needed sleep."

Cyclobenzaprine for Muscle Spasm "I was prescribed Flexeril 5 mg every 4-6 hours after having back surgery on my L5S1. It was prescribed along with hydrocodone. Absolutely no issues with it while I took it every day for a week. Now I only use it as needed for my back. I have had no hallucinations or foggy brain with it. I'll usually take it before bed if my back muscles are tense. It does what it is supposed to do and helps relax my muscles enough to go to sleep. This medication is not supposed to be used long term, every single day. I only use it once or twice every few months. It's also helpful to do some stretches with it to help loosen those strained muscles. It is also not supposed to be taken with Tramadol. If you're taking Tramadol with it, please stop. That is what is causing your hallucinations. Look up Tramadol, the reviews are awful. I was prescribed Tramadol a few months before my back surgery, and it did nothing for my pain. Tramadol is known to make people 'crazy'."

For Temporomandibular Joint Disorder "It's not a miracle cure, but it definitely helps. First time I was prescribed it, my jaw had been locked for a little over three weeks. Needless to say, I was pretty desperate to have any kind of fix. After yet another failed appointment with the TMJ specialists, I went to my primary doctor hoping that she had been able to find something new. This time, she prescribed cyclobenzaprine. No joke, four hours later I could open my jaw. Works like a charm. The pain goes away with it too (no more tension). Only downside is it makes me sleepy and a little loopy. No driving on this stuff (for me anyway)."

For Muscle Spasm "This is the only muscle relaxant out of the ones I tried that really works for my muscle spasms, and a bonus is it also helps with my anxiety. But the side effects are so annoying and off-putting that I can't take it regularly enough to relieve the problem. It makes me VERY dizzy and groggy, even throughout the next day. I constantly feel like I'm gonna fall asleep or lose my balance when I stand up. There is also just a general tired brain fog feeling. If you really need it and are really in pain, then it will do the job. But beware of the side effects and don't expect to be very productive the next day unless you force yourself to push through it."

For Muscle Spasm "I have a bad disk, which is causing a pinched nerve. I have a script for 10 mg 3x a day, and it takes a couple of hours to really kick in, but it does kick in eventually. On the flip side, though, by the end of the day and after taking my prescribed amount, I felt very tired. Then I woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, and my arms, legs, and brain felt like I got zombified. And the worst cottonmouth ever. All in all, it did what it was prescribed to do."

For Muscle Spasm "Wow, this medication makes my back pain and spasms go away. The downfall of this medication is the 'knockout feeling.' I took one yesterday around 6:30 p.m., at 11:30 this morning, I was driving to an appointment and felt detached. The medication works, however, being tired, dopey feeling, and foggy-headed are the negatives for this. It is too bad it makes me so tired. My back, on the other hand, feels great."

For Fibromyalgia "I have been on this medication for about 10 years, since first getting diagnosed. Initially, they wanted me to take three times a day - I was a zombie. So, the rest of the time, I just have taken to sleep. Not really effective anymore for that."

For Muscle Spasm "This worked for me! It let the tense muscles in my back relax, so I could fall asleep. I had a lot of confusion while taking the medication (like a mental fog), so I stopped taking it and now take melatonin."

For Muscle Spasm "I started taking cyclobenzaprine 2 days ago for neck/back spasms. I have been in a fog ever since. My whole body has felt numb. I can’t drive, slur speech, move in slow motion. I stopped taking it about 15 hours ago and finally feel like I’m coming out of it. I can feel my body “un-numbing” - like pins and needles when your arm is “waking up,” and I feel cold inside. Of course, it must have been working, because now my neck/back is more painful. I’ll take the pain, at least I can mentally function."

For Muscle Spasm "I feel better today than I did yesterday, that's for sure. I still have pain, but now can move certain ways without it hurting so badly! I took it close to 10 pm and didn't fall asleep till like 11:30 pm and woke up for work at 7 am. I felt dizzy and foggy-minded and excessively tired till about 10 am. I definitely could not stop yawning while at work. I hope it's not the same for tomorrow because tonight I took it close to 8 pm, so I'm hoping I'll be okay."

For Muscle Spasm "This medicine is dangerous. It not only made me extremely tired, I slept all night and throughout the day. I had a headache and was extremely irritable and angry. I didn't want to be bothered or talk to anyone because I felt so bad. The medicine did help eventually after only taking one pill, but the side effects are bad if you have to leave your home. I felt like a different person. I felt spaced out and like I was on drugs. I felt horrible, like the drug affected my mind more than anything else, and I couldn't stay awake and had a headache."

Cyclobenzaprine for Sciatica "I had been in a rear-ended car accident and had neck, shoulder, and back spasms. Flexeril worked when I took it the first night, but I was so foggy the next morning I had to call in sick...bwahaha."
