For Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis "The secret of taking any antibiotics is a full stomach. Meaning, you should eat a full meal even if you don't have an appetite. A bowl of rice, soup, porridge, noodles, banana, oatmeal, peanut butter sandwich with honey, or anything you can eat. A full stomach before you take the medicine (in fact, any kind of medicine, even vitamins) is key to not feeling all the side effects. Also, if you feel too many side effects (nausea, vomiting, dizziness), you may be allergic to one component of the medicine you are taking. You should check on it! Like, I usually get Augmentin for my tonsils and ear infection, but I constantly get the same side effects when I take it, then I found out I was allergic to penicillin content."

For Chlamydia Infection "I was prescribed 4 tablets 500 mg. I took them back to back since taking it as a single dose was too much for me. Not even a couple of hours later, I felt a really bad stomach pain. I ran to the restroom thinking I just needed to use it, but I did vomit. Twice. It was a horrible feeling/experience. But if the antibiotic helps, then it's worth it."

For Chlamydia Infection "So I found out I had the infection, got prescribed 250 mg. Took it, felt fine at first, then I started to get hot and nauseous. Had stomach cramps, thought I was going to vomit and poop at the same time while driving. Mind you, I was on my way to church and had to use the bathroom at church. Hopefully this medicine works. Won't be irresponsible ever again."

On the 6th day, I experienced vomiting, dizziness, stomach cramps, constipation, black stool, hypertension, fast beating of the heart, low energy, hives on my face, headaches, swollen eyelids, and dark circles under my eyes. Day 11 after taking the last dose, still experiencing a fast heartbeat, swelling in my feet, and hives on my face. Low energy."

For Bacterial Infection "The drug is quite effective for me whenever I have one or more infections in my body (usually strep throat or bronchitis), as it takes care of them all at once. But the main issue is that I wouldn’t use it unless I have to. I have a history of gastritis and IBS, so taking this medication would normally give me a whole slew of digestive issues, from nausea to vomiting to diarrhea. Only on one occasion, though, had the side effects not been so prominent, when I’ve eaten a lot before taking the gel capsule version of it rather than the normal pill... perhaps the gel capsule version prevents too much damage to my stomach lining."
