For Chlamydia Infection "I found out I had chlamydia because my partner told me he tested positive, and I should get checked out. I tested positive, and I was prescribed two 500 mg pills of azithromycin. I was told to eat and take the pill on a full stomach. So I ate a meal and took the pill immediately. Ten minutes after taking the pill, I immediately began to salivate and vomited everything in my stomach and had the absolute worst stomach pains I’ve ever had in my life. It was like someone holding my rib and twisting. I called my doctor immediately and had my prescription refilled. My second go-around, I ate a meal and waited about an hour before I took the pills again. I drank tons of water before and after and kept a lollipop on standby to help with the salivating. I’m about three hours in post-pill, and so far, I feel okay. Slightly bloated but no pain. It’s absolutely not worth it, and I hope this pill works so I never have to do this again."

For Chlamydia Infection "I had to take two azithromycin pills at once, so that was 1000 mg. As soon as I took it, about an hour later, I was on the toilet, very loose stool. Blurred vision two hours later, back on the toilet, sat there for about 45 minutes, stomach very upset, dry heaving, and then I took a nap. Woke up with stomach a little upset still, but hopefully it worked."

For Chlamydia Infection "I just found out I was positive for chlamydia on 9/29/15. My doctor gave me 4 pills to take. I had taken them at 4:35 pm, and around 7:30-8 pm, I threw up. Does this mean I need to retake the medication? This is my first time. I'm really scared, and all I've read says that it does affect you if it spreads. I do plan on having a family in the future, but I'm scared now that I may not. Can someone please help me."

For Chlamydia Infection "I was completely devastated when my results came back positive for chlamydia. I thought STDs were gross and something foreign that I learned from sex ed classes in middle school. I never imagined having unprotected sex one time (yes - one time!!!) would land me in my OB-GYN doctor's office with chlamydia. I took two of the 500 mg azithromycin pills right away. About two hours later, I was sitting on the toilet crying and holding my stomach. The abdominal pain is awful! I dry heaved, got a cold washcloth for my face, and rested in bed for the rest of the day. For two days later, I continued using the bathroom every time I ate something. I ate very lightly and stayed hydrated drinking water. I'm so glad this whole ordeal is behind me now! Wow."

For Chlamydia Infection "2 pills for a total dose of 1000 mg. Was fine until 10 the next morning, when the cramps and stomach pain started. Threw up at midday, and my stomach and lower abdomen felt like they'd been twisted into knots. Sore to the touch. Had loose stool. Constant feeling like I needed the bathroom or to throw up. Threw up again at 11 pm last night and 5 am this morning. Only 3 hours sleep because I couldn't get comfortable from the pain, no position helps. Woke up hungry and less cramps this morning. Feel ok now except for being super tired and scared to eat in case I vomit again. I am drinking lots of water and took some indigestion tablets, anti-diarrhea tablets, and paracetamol. Test results here take over 3 weeks to arrive, so might be taking it all for nothing, as I won't know for sure if I had it or not until much later. But, better safe than sorry. Definitely not fun, better work the first time!"

For Chlamydia Infection "Second time having chlamydia, I hate the side effects after you take the treatment tablets. I had to take 4 at the same time, 2-3 hours later I started to feel sick and I had diarrhea. Personally, the best thing to do is try to fall asleep when you feel sick because once you throw up, that's it, you're going to have to go back to the clinic and do this all over again. I'm never having unprotected sex till I get married, I can't go through this again (I'm from the UK, so the treatment was free)."

For Chlamydia Infection "I read all the reviews and prepared myself for the worst. I took the 4 pills, 250 mg each (1000 mg) nothing! No nausea, no vomiting, no diarrhea. It's only been 2.5 hours. I ate a lot before I took my pills. I ate leftover pasta, a pizza pop, drank a ginger ale, on my second soda, had chips. My stomach had 2 or 3 cramps, on a scale of 1-10, it was a 1. I got the antibiotics for free at my local health unit. I live in Canada and have no coverage for costs of prescriptions."

For Chlamydia Infection "I will never, ever take this again. I’m 8 weeks pregnant and already taking Diclegis for nausea/vomiting. I took this because I was swabbed and positive for chlamydia. I took it after eating toast and a granola bar, and not even a half hour later, I was puking and pooping at the same time... ALL NIGHT. Even this morning, I’m not feeling great. Never, ever again."

For Chlamydia Infection "I was prescribed 4 pills, and they gave me a shot in my butt. I didn’t eat before I went to the hospital (which was the worst mistake). I took the 4 pills all at once, and now 30 minutes later I’m overheating and nauseous. I threw up once, felt like garbage the rest of the day until I took a nap. When I woke up I felt dizzy every now and then, but the worst part was over. DON'T TAKE THESE ON AN EMPTY STOMACH!!"

For Chlamydia Infection "I'm in my late teens, just found out I have chlamydia. I've slept with 2 boys at my school and have no clue which one could have passed it. I didn't think much of the burning during sex or irritation when I pee. I thought about pregnancy but had my period. I'm not so surprised because both times were unprotected, but I trusted both boys. It was hard to tell them to get tested. I took the 2 pills around 10:00 pm, and 2 hours later vomited everywhere. I hope this doesn't happen the second time around. Just use protection, you can't trust every guy that says he's clean, they can lie or not even know."

For Chlamydia Infection "Found out I had chlamydia when I had screening done after finding out I am pregnant. My boyfriend and I both took the medication the day after I was told. It hit him hard. Loss of appetite, diarrhea, and weakness. But it soon faded away. I was lucky and felt no side effects. However, I threw up about 2 hours after taking the medication due to my pregnancy. I'm curious as to if I need to take it again. My boyfriend's mother says it should be in my system by now and throwing up should have no effect. I have great insurance, but it still didn't cover the cost completely. I had to pay 2.66 out of pocket, money I didn't have because I had been previously told that my insurance covered it completely. Luckily, my boyfriend had money to spare."

For Chlamydia Infection "I found out I had chlamydia on Tuesday and took two 500 mg tablets. I read the side effects and got a little scared but didn't think much of it because I usually have a strong stomach. I had taken the pill at around 5 pm and by 9 pm I had the worst stomach pain and diarrhea. Although the diarrhea did stop, it is now Friday 8:50 am and I have vomited 3 times. I'm hoping these side effects stop soon and clear me from infections."

For Middle Ear Infections "This medicine is terrible. I am 36 weeks pregnant and was prescribed it for an ear infection. While it has helped with the stuffy feeling in my ear a bit, it has given me some pretty bad side effects. I have done nothing but vomit since being on this med, my heart starts racing, I get terrible stomach cramps, and have diarrhea. All of that within an hour or two after taking it. I’ve wound up in the hospital three times, requiring fluids due to becoming dehydrated because of the vomiting."

For Chlamydia Infection "I took a chlamydia test thinking nothing of it, but I can't swallow tablets, therefore have to have it in liquid form. I had my first dose at around 3:50 and second dose at around 7:50. Within those four hours, I began to feel sick, and I don't get ill often. Just over about an hour later, I began to throw up and have diarrhea, I also couldn't stop shaking for a while afterwards."

For Chlamydia Infection "Rating this on my experience so far, not sure if it totally got rid of it yet. Got chlamydia using a condom with a long-time hookup I thought was monogamous with me, how swell, right? Didn't have symptoms, but a routine test came back positive. Was terrified to take these because I get so sick on antibiotics, but took a few precautions that helped. Started loading up on digestive probiotics right away (waited two days to take the dose because I had a weekend I could not miss from being sick). Waited for a day off, ate a huge meal and loaded up on water. An hour after taking the pills, I felt like I was about to vomit with intense stomach pain. This went away after a two-hour nap. Now I feel fine, just tired and a little crampy."

Azithromycin for Chlamydia Infection "Okay, so this morning I found out I have chlamydia. Well, I got the powder medication, one dose. I ate before taking it and took it with 2 ounces of water, like directed. Well, 2 minutes after taking it, I had like projectile vomit. I am really concerned because I think I threw it all back up, so I'm going to call and talk to my doctor about it in the morning."

For Chlamydia Infection "After reading the terrifying reviews, I was convinced I would die, so I delayed taking this medication for two weeks! I finally caved, since my symptoms were getting worse, and took it on a full stomach. I’m three hours in and so far I have had no side effects except a slight upset stomach... no pain/nausea/vomiting. I just hope this medicine works!"

For Chlamydia Infection "Well, today I finally decided to take the 4 red pills. I felt hot and out of breath like an hour later. I tried walking outside because it's cold out there. I threw up all my breakfast and water. So I started feeling hotter and dizzy. So I ran to the bathroom feeling like I had to make a bowel movement, but I didn't. I'm constantly throwing up. Now I can turn my fan on and lay in front of it to cool down, but my body temperature is constantly going from cold to hot. Now here come the stomach pains, feeling like contractions. It felt as though I was in labor. I was crying like a baby and holding my stomach so tight. Now it's 7 o'clock, I'm still having a little sharp pain, but I can deal with it. Hopefully, it works. For Bacterial Infection "I had to take 4 of the 250 mg pills at once, for a total of 1000 mg or 1 g. I guess I ate the wrong food at the wrong time... At 3:30 pm, I had 1/2 of a Little Caesars pizza. I was supposed to take them with dinner, so I had a banana and graham crackers at 6:30 even though I was still full. Took the pills. From 9:30 pm to 3:30 am, I was running back and forth to the bathroom to pee every 30 minutes, have diarrhea, and vomit once around 10 pm. The pills made me crazy nauseated but also made my stomach act like I was starving, so I had to keep drinking almond milk and trying to eat small things. My stomach cramps and hunger kept me from sleeping. Worst pill experience in my life."

For Chlamydia Infection "Took the 2-gram powder 2 hours after a meal and a little over an hour, I felt like I was going to die. I violently vomited, but the doctor told me that most of the medicine was already in my system and not to worry. He told me that feeling this terrible is actually quite common with this antibiotic, especially with this high dose. I actually had to return to the hospital where I got it because I wasn't sure what was going to happen to me. I'm on day 4, and these are the symptoms I am feeling: constant upset GI tract, stomach along with acid reflux, feeling hot, mainly in the face, feeling a little more tired than usual. I'm not experiencing diarrhea, but each time I pass stool, it feels like it is going to be diarrhea. Never again..."

For Chlamydia Infection "I have taken this medicine twice. First time (4 tabs) was absolutely horrible, after an hour or two, I felt really dizzy, started sweating, and feeling really hot. I had to take my shirt and jacket off just to feel better about the heat. I also threw up constantly. 3/10. Because I threw up, I had to take a second dose (2 tabs), this was not that bad at all, 8/10. I ate tons of bread and water to help calm my stomach, and I felt nothing but a slight stomach sensation at night. That morning, however, I did feel it hit me, and I had to go to the restroom constantly, but it wasn't at all bad, just a slight upset stomach. I would prep with lots of bread if you need to take this."

For Chlamydia Infection "I found out I had chlamydia on Monday. I'm not sure which one of my exes gave it to me. Broke up with my boyfriend of one and a half years the first week of February because he was cheating, and the last time I had sex with him was in January. Because I was still very emotional, I ended up sleeping with one of my other exes from 2014 the second week of February, so I don't know which one gave it to me. On Tuesday, I went to the clinic, and they gave me the two pills. Within half an hour, I was getting stomach cramps and felt like going to the toilet and also felt like vomiting but never did. The next day I was fine. The day after, I was fine. Then today, out of nowhere, my chest hurts, and it's making me want to cough and have a slight headache."
