For Chlamydia Infection "Today I was diagnosed with Chlamydia, I've had it over 9 months. The clinic gave me two 500 mg tablets. 20 minutes after consumption, my stomach began to ache and I was nauseous. It may be because I didn't eat anything before. I drank some water and ate a bag of chips. An hour passed and my stomach was still upset, so I ate a Reese's Cup milkshake and chicken nuggets from McDonald's. (Obviously not the best.) The pain and nausea subsided a bit afterwards. After that, I took a short 35-minute nap, when I got up, I felt dizzy and my stomach started to bubble, lol. Now I'm at work, and it's 90 degrees here in Las Vegas. It's best to take it at night when you can lay down and be close to a toilet."

For Chlamydia Infection "I took 8! Yes, 8 250 mg pills in one single dose. I took them at 9:30 pm tonight on an empty stomach (I had a hard time eating due to stress). It's now 12:30 am, and I've had watery diarrhea, dizziness, nausea, and hot flashes since 11:30. It seems to be subsiding. Fingers crossed!"

Azithromycin for Bacterial Infection "I was experiencing a tension headache off and on for close to two weeks. I suspected I had a sinus infection and went to the ER because I couldn’t get in to see my PCP for weeks. I took the Z-Pak as prescribed (my last dose was last Thursday). I still feel like I have a sinus headache in addition to dizziness, fatigue, diarrhea, and anxiety. I felt worse after taking it, I ended up back in the ER and was told they didn’t find a sinus infection at all, and I need to follow up with a neurologist because they couldn’t find anything on the CT that could cause the headaches either! I had a horrible reaction to a medication last year (Lexapro), which increased my anxiety symptoms. I have been in therapy and doing well with no panic attacks in months. I feel like I possibly set myself back taking the Z-Pak. It was my first and last time taking it, I never experienced these side effects taking Amoxicillin. I had to take time off from work to recoup, I want this out of my system as quickly as possible!!"

For Chlamydia Infection "I was prescribed two 500 mg tablets to take at the same time. I took them after eating half of a sandwich, and about 10 minutes later, I felt very dizzy and nauseous, like I was getting ready to throw up! Then the headache came, which sent me to bed, and I couldn’t move. Then came the watery diarrhea, which I’ve had all day. It’s been about 12 hours now. But I took a Tylenol to relieve my headache, which also helped with the nausea, and I was honestly back to feeling normal within an hour after taking the pills. After that hour, I ate some crackers and drank some ginger ale, and my stomach was pretty much settled. Some of my symptoms have started to go away, so I don’t know. I hope it clears everything up and I NEVER have to take this medication again... the nausea and headache are TERRIBLE! Be safe!"

Azithromycin for Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "5-day pack took 2. First day, no problem. Second day, 1. Third day, 1. That night, couldn't sleep at all, heart was pounding and skipping, diarrhea, headache, muscle pain from front wrapping around to back, felt anxious, dizzy, felt like I was spinning. Stopped taking. Next day, still had symptoms, can't wait till it is out of my body. Never had trouble with any antibiotics before. This was my first time taking this medicine. I wish I had read side effects before I took it."

For Chlamydia Infection "I just took 4 pills and ate some yogurt as the pharmacist told me to do if my stomach was feeling blah. After I had only a couple small spoonfuls of yogurt, I was so nauseous and dizzy and sweaty. I did gag a couple of times but didn’t throw up. I then put an ice pack on my neck and lay down on my bed. Then I switched the ice pack to my chest. I lay there for about an hour with stomach pains and a nauseating feeling. When the hour (or a bit less) was up, I was feeling fine again. I would suggest to people to lay down and close your eyes. This feeling will pass and you’ll be fine. Don’t read all the comments because I did, and I started freaking out. You’ll survive."

For Chlamydia Infection "Second time having it. Shame on me. The first time I experienced taking 2 500 mg tablets, I had no symptoms and was fine. I'd eaten beforehand and ate straight after and managed to keep myself hydrated. This time round, same dosage, but I felt a little spaced out, had tummy gripes, which passed after having a proper meal and a big glass of water. But I found for the entire day I'd get random shivers, and my stomach would feel a bit bubbly. Also felt a slight bit of dizziness, but nothing I couldn't manage."

For Chlamydia Infection "Tuesday 5 PM - Given two 500 mg pills. Immediately had a snack. Dinner time, not a great appetite. Stomach cramps and resulting stress kept me up all night. No other medication symptoms. Chlamydia symptoms still there. Wednesday - Maybe lack of sleep, but felt fatigued all day, mild stomach cramps, appetite meh, headache, low energy, constipated, flatulent, but slept better. No other medication symptoms. Chlamydia symptoms still there. Thursday - Dizziness at random, fatigued all day, little to no stomach cramps, appetite meh, continuous headache (now most prominent symptom), low energy, constipated (but no bloating), flatulent, slept normal. No other medication symptoms. Chlamydia symptoms still there. Friday - Same as Thursday."

For Chlamydia Infection "So for the first time in my life, I was diagnosed with an STI. Always been kind of oblivious to it, never felt the need to research or even look into it. So I had sex with 3 guys in a space of 4 months. The first one was unprotected, the last two were. I only got symptoms last month. Since I started the contraceptive pill, I didn't think much of the symptoms, as I thought it's just a side effect. Went to get checked out, ta-da, chlamydia. Was really confused, how to be fair. But anywho, an hour after taking the tabs, I was nearly on the phone to the ambulance. I have never in my life experienced such bad stomach pains to the point I was in tears. Felt so sick and really needed to throw up. Tried to eat bland food and then went to sleep. 4 hours after taking the tabs, I still feel sick and dizzy. The condom-free sex just ain't worth it. Be safe, people."

For Bacterial Infection "Started this medication yesterday, and on other antibiotics, I usually start feeling better by now. If anything, I feel worse, and I have every side effect. I mean the runs, the cramping, the gas, the bloating, the head pounding, the dizziness. I don't know if I can choke the third pill down tomorrow. I am just miserable. Oh, and I'm taking it for a middle ear infection, and the pain is still so great, it just adds to the other side effects, and it's rendering me useless for things I need to do, like go to work or function in general. My advice: see if a different kind of anti can be given to you."

For Chlamydia Infection "I took 2 500 mg pills at one time for a total of 1 gram. I felt the effects of the pills within 10 minutes. I was like, wow, maybe I should eat something. So I ate a sandwich. After 30 minutes of taking the 2 pills, I felt weird. Hot flashes, dry mouth and lips, stomach cramps, and pain in my lower back. Also, a burning sensation in my uterus and stomach area and dizziness. I laid down for almost an hour. I went to the bathroom twice with watery diarrhea that burns. It's now 2 hours later, and I feel okay. Just get the feeling of bathroom urgency of diarrhea. So hopefully it's all worth it and took care of my issue."

For Chlamydia Infection "So I was tested positive for chlamydia. They gave me two pills for 500 mg, so that's a thousand. I had to take them both together. How long does it take for the chlamydia to clear out of your system with the meds? Doesn't feel like it's working, but I must need to wait more. For Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "I was on a Z pack. I'm allergic to penicillin, so this is my go-to for this type of sinus stuff. A word to the wise: YOGURT, KEFIR, PROBIOTICS. This will help you avoid all the terrible stomach cramps/diarrhea and potentially C. Diff or yeast infection. If you get yeast infections frequently with antibiotics, ask your doc to throw in a prescription for Diflucan. This antibiotic kills bad AND good bacteria, explaining why it messes with your natural gut flora. I had some gas, fatigue, and dizziness on these meds. Feeling better overall, though!"

For Chlamydia Infection "So I recently found out I’ve been exposed to chlamydia after my boyfriend and I got back together. I wasn’t aware of the side effects since it’s the first time I’ve gotten tested, but the doctor gave me four pills to take all at once. I ate a meal beforehand. I didn’t have any cramps, but I almost instantly felt “off”-kind of dizzy, like when you're drunk and you stand up to start walking. I had to go to work, though, and ended up having diarrhea two hours later (no stomach cramping or nausea). When I got home, I was so tired that I crashed on the couch for four hours and then woke up and basically peed out my butt. I felt better after, though, and I’d prefer this for a day to having chlamydia forever."

For Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "Had sinus congestion for 3 weeks, shortness of breath with an annoying wheezing sound, cough but no phlegm, fatigue, general malaise. No cough syrup worked but was placed on Zitro 500mg for 3 days... it's day 2 and I feel like a blocked pipe has been drained. Side effects: palpitations, dizziness, weakness, and a feeling of being unwell, but the drug was prescribed because the benefit outweighs the side effects. Great antibiotics. The best I have used so far."

For Chlamydia Infection "I found out 3 weeks ago that I had chlamydia for the first time. I got two pills of 500 mg azithromycin and took them right away, as it says you can take it on an empty stomach, I highly suggest eating first. I found myself, 15 minutes later, vomiting and having severe abdominal cramps, and I was very dizzy. I went to the doctor the next day with my fiancé, and we both got the pills-me for the second time due to vomiting-but ate an hour before taking them, and neither of us had a problem doing it that way."

For Chlamydia Infection "After having unprotected sex in the past, I randomly decided to get tested last week since it’s been a while. Sure enough, I have chlamydia, and my boyfriend of 3 years probably has it too. Even though we do use protection, there have been a couple of times we didn’t use a condom. The doctor said to eat on a full stomach, but I normally fast in the early afternoon. I ate a bag of chips and took two blue 500 mg. Twenty minutes later, I’m nauseous, burping, and my stomach is in knots. For the first hour, I was in bed because I couldn’t even get comfortable, and my feet were so cold. I kept focusing on NOT throwing up for the first 2 hours. I craved something salty, so I grabbed crackers and drank pickle juice. I feel so much better, you guys should try it. My stomach still hurts, and I still feel dizzy when I wear my glasses. I’m finally comfortable, I feel a nap coming on, and I’m just staying calm and relaxed. I think it’s working."

For Bacterial Infection "I was given azithromycin for a bacterial infection and strongly regret it. I continued with the medication for four of the five doses, finally stopping upon a call to the pharmacist. I quickly lost all taste and desire to eat food and became very drowsy. The next morning, I was much worse. I could not get out of bed without falling over because of severe dizziness and a headache. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, I realized I had thrush on my tongue and a rash all over my body. This was soon followed by cramps and diarrhea. I wish this nightmare upon nobody, and apparently, this reaction is not that uncommon. I wouldn't risk it."

For Chlamydia Infection "I went to the doctor's office and described my symptoms, even though I suspect it to be BV. They gave me 4 pink pills and a shot just in case while the results were sent to the lab. Anyway, not expecting to take meds right away, I hadn't eaten breakfast. An hour after taking the pills, I got bad cramps in my upper stomach. I could barely drive, and I was sweating. The pain came and went for about 30 minutes, after that, I was fine. Later on that day, I did have a quick dizzy spell, I thought I was gonna have a panic attack while shopping, but it went away quickly, and nothing after that. The next day, I woke up with really bad itching in my vagina and discharge, but the original discharge I had went away the same day."

For Bronchitis "I had a horrible cough, I was coughing so hard I couldn't breathe, and I was vomiting. I was diagnosed with bronchitis. I was on the 3-day pack of AZ. No improvement whatsoever, just horrible diarrhea and extreme dizziness and fatigue. Was put on other antibiotics, and now I'm improving."

For Chlamydia Infection "I only found out that my very long-term boyfriend was cheating on me because he gave me chlamydia. I took the four 250 mg pills in the doctor's office yesterday around 3:30. At 4 pm I had severe stomach cramping. I felt nauseous and thought that maybe it was just because I didn't eat enough before taking them. I had no appetite, but I managed to eat a little bit. I have constantly felt like I was going to have diarrhea, but nothing or little comes out. Today is day two, and I've had weird blurred vision, dizziness, and a headache along with more cramping and stomach pain. Still no appetite, and I'm extremely sleepy. It hasn't helped chlamydia symptoms-still itching and discomfort and discharge. Hopefully, something will give soon."

For Chlamydia Infection "So I got Chlamydia after being in a relationship for a year with my boyfriend, but showed symptoms later on. My doctor prescribed 4 500 mg of azithromycin, 2 for me and 2 for him because technically she couldn't write on the script that it was for him too, and I was to follow that up with amoxicillin for a week after that. I noticed a difference with the azithromycin the next day immediately, and this medicine is no joke, so I was nauseous as anything the first day. I took like an hour-long shower to calm down. I was also super dizzy and felt like I had a buzz from drinking, so really it was like a bad high. I was also really, really sleepy. My boyfriend just had diarrhea, it is now day 3 and he's fine, but my sleep pattern is off. I'm still nauseous sometimes, and I'm getting bad dreams, but I've noticed a difference body-wise, so it works, and eating doesn't matter because you still don't feel well whether you do or don't."

For Chlamydia Infection "I ordered a home test kit and tested positive for infection. I then had to take two 500 mg tablets. Twenty minutes after taking them, I became very hot and agitated. I became very nauseous and gagged three or four times. I had really bad stomach cramps and felt the need to go to the toilet. For the rest of the day, I felt sick on and off. I was also pretty dizzy and in a 'blur' most of the day, not feeling right at all. It also caused a headache and made me feel more tired than normal."
