Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "First prescribed it in grad school for ADD & depression. Worked wonders. Only downside is I became very reliant on it. Was stuck between the two evils of being a depressed zombie (w/o taking it) and feeling like a happy, motivated, focused person (on Adderall). Eventually stopped taking and failed out of grad school. Work was hard, always late, made stupid mistakes, & couldn’t complete tasks. 3 years & 3 jobs later, I broke down and went back to a doctor who rediagnosed me with ADD, Anxiety, & Depression. I was reluctant to start back on Adderall and tried a few alternatives first. Everything made me feel even MORE exhausted, back on Adderall 30mg day, feel normal again. I have the motivation, energy, & focus to complete tasks. Only complaint is anxiety which I resolve w/ a low benzo & exercise. Remember, there’s no reason to be miserable if there’s a pill out there that can change your life."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Adderall is very useful, but recently I was ignorant and thought it would be okay to take a little extra at night to help clean my house. I took a bigger extra dose than I should have, and a few hours later, I felt pretty awful. I am very productive and more positive on the right dose of this med, so I recommend trying it or Desoxyn because it is said to have fewer side effects like anxiety, panic, and irritability post-dose. Like all meds, Adderall is a blessing when dosed right and a curse when dosed incorrectly. I noticed that I paced around a bit when on it, but I didn’t feel that anxious. It isn’t fun and enjoyable to take a big dose, don’t do it. God made everything to be used in moderation, and it is much better for the whole society when we obey the wise instructions of our doctors and leaders. Be careful, obey your doctor, and may God bless you all to succeed in your treatment plans and in your lives. Amen"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Adderall (amphetamine salts, generic Teva) has always worked well for me. Recently, I had to start taking the Lannett generic due to the shortage, and it has been HORRIBLE. I’m jittery, anxious, and depressed. This stuff is like poison. Please write a complaint to the FDA MedWatch if you or anyone you know is having issues as well. It’s so frustrating."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I've been on Adderall for 9 years, and this shortage has made life miserable. For people who need it to get through daily life, we're the people suffering the most. Teva was always the best generic, but I haven't been able to find Teva for a year or more. The Rhodes kind and the Lannett kind are both terrible! The efficacy of both of those brands is extremely low, like they are just sugar pills. Plus, they've increased my anxiety and increased my number of regular headaches. The powers that be need to get this situation under control, or lots of us who struggle with ADHD and other comorbidities aren't going to make it out alive. Literally. The depression I've struggled with for most of my life has been more severe for the last year, even though I'm still treated for it by my psychiatrist! We are real people with prescriptions from real doctors who deserve consideration! And our meds!"

For ADHD "The generic manufacturer of amphetamine & dextroamphetamine, Sandoz, is the only one that works for me. This month the manufacturer is Northstar and last month Aurobindo, and they are garbage. They don’t help AT ALL with my focus. Zero. I am irritable. I am getting nothing done and my anxiety is sky high. I am going to stop taking these brands and ask the pharmacy for Sandoz. I complained to the FDA and urge others to do so as well. This is ridiculous."

For ADHD "This medication amphetamine/dextroamphetamine has made me feel VERY JITTERY and sick to my stomach! I take generic TEVA brand orange tab 30 mg. The pharmacy didn’t have any of the TEVA brand, so they gave me generic U31 tablet - Aurolife Pharma, LLC brand. This is horrible! People take time off work to be seen by a doctor, get put on meds for a reason, spend money for the appointment and meds, all the time you spend doing this & it can’t be returned back to Walmart to get my right medicine because “it’s against the law” supposedly! Even when I have the entire prescription (minus one) to give them back. Why make people feel like this when they do so much to try and make life easier being on their meds. I don’t have insurance so my doc visit is almost $100 & medicine is around $60 every month. My 7-year-old daughter's meds were switched as well. I’m scared to even give her medicine! How can Walmart just give you a different brand that you’ve never taken and not tell me before I leave it’s different!?"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I have been taking Mydayis 25mg for 2 months, and I have experienced ZERO negative side effects. I was previously prescribed Adderall XR & IR and Vyvanse. Those medications were somewhat effective; however, they came with a lot of side effects (loss of appetite, moodiness, insomnia, heart palpitations, dry mouth, dry skin, and anxiousness). The best thing about Mydayis is the way in which it feels 'natural' and the way it steadily tapers off throughout the day. With previous medications, I could actually feel the effects coming and going and I would get these sensations of feeling 'high.' With Mydayis, I never actually FEEL the medication taking effect, but I can tell a HUGE difference in my performance, mood, and ability to focus. I even feel relaxed, as if my mind can finally make sense of racing thoughts and feelings. I usually take my medication around 8 AM and I am easily able to fall asleep by 11 PM. With Mydayis, My Day Is manageable!"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Adderall has totally brought my life into focus. I started taking it about 6 months ago. I'm 39 now and really wish I had this medicine as a kid. In addition to ADD, I had severe anxiety and depression as a child/teenager. Adderall has given me focus, lifted my general mood, taken my anxiety away, and made me a productive human being. I'm actually starting my own business! The only bad thing is that you really have to be careful of how much you take because it can have the opposite effect, i.e., severe anxiety and no focus, but if you take it the right way, it will change your life! One other bad thing is the stigma surrounding the medicine and being treated like an addict by some pharmacists."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "DO NOT TAKE THE LANNETT, ELI-515. If you struggle with anxiety, depression, I wouldn't recommend this. I was given it, it is not Adderall. It’s a therapeutic equivalent. My other meds stayed the same, my routine, diet, except for getting this. It has rendered me completely hopeless, crippling depression, lethargic, overwhelmingly anxious, my stomach is churning non-stop, so I cannot even eat on it without getting violently ill. I saw my psych after a week on it, for 6 days, thinking it was Adderall and I was just doing something wrong. I told my psych the pill description and how it made me feel, he looked it up and said, “No, you’re not making any of this up, this isn’t the correct medication, but unfortunately, the pharmacy input it as Adderall, so legally we can’t do much about it.” I have flushed it down the toilet. If you receive these at a pharmacy, please speak to the pharmacist directly about it."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Was prescribed when I was nine for ADD and ADHD. Personal opinions aside, I’ve noticed that when taken in the recommended dosage, you feel a lot more productive during work hours. During this period of productivity, I experienced some side effects such as nail biting, lip/mouth biting, anxiety, panic, and increased bowel movement. Overall, I think it can really help those who struggle with getting their work done, but these side effects can get really bad. Please be careful."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I have suffered my entire life with ADD. For a while, Adderall helped. Then, as I turned 49, it seemed to make me more anxious, irritable, short-tempered, and I had no patience for stupidity! Upon trying Mydayis, I was immediately impressed. I was finishing projects, getting things done right, and able to focus for longer durations of time-long enough to complete tasks at hand. I feel so much better."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I started on Vyvanse about 10 years ago. Eventually, I was taking 70 mg in the morning and 50 mg in the afternoon. I have a pretty hard time with tolerance issues, which led me to abuse the Vyvanse. This led me to switch to Adderall IR twice daily. Still didn’t fix the problem. I asked my psychiatrist about Mydayis, and I can tell you it has an effect all day (definitely more than Adderall XR and Vyvanse). It gives you a more calming feeling, while Adderall caused anxiety, and I felt I needed Valium. My psychiatrist doesn’t mess around, and since I’ve been taking amphetamines for years, he put me right on the highest dose, 50 mg. So far, so good..."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I was taking Adderall 20 mg twice a day. It made me anxious and almost paranoid at times. I had extreme highs and extreme lows, but I could focus. I have been on Mydayis for a week now, and I do not have the anxiety I had with Adderall, and I am not super hyperfocused and chatty like I was on Adderall. Mydayis feels more natural, if that makes sense. I feel more like myself now, and even my boyfriend said he notices a change. A good change. Also, I had a bit of sexual blah and found it difficult to be 'happy,' and Mydayis gave me my groove back. I can easily fall asleep, but I noticed if I don't lay down and settle, I can stay up. I can definitely fall asleep on it. I like it. I think it depends on the person. I myself don't like feeling like I am bouncing off the walls, and Mydayis doesn't make me feel that way, but I am more organized and productive. Worth a try to see if it works for you. Feels healthier."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I have suffered severe ADHD my entire life. I barely graduated high school. I was scared to take Adderall because I was scared I would lose my personality and be a shell of a person. That did not happen, I am the best version of myself I've ever been. Don't expect this to make everything in your life easy, you still need to put in effort. This is simply a tool to help you focus. This isn't a tool for motivation. School was still hard for me. For those with severe ADHD, this medication does not make you feel cracked out. If anything, I might be too calm. I haven't noticed anxiety either. This has been a game changer, just don't abuse it and be realistic. This isn't magic."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I've been taking 60mg of Adderall a day for 14 years now. It's a miracle! I don't think I would have made it through high school or college without it. I started when I was 14 and starting high school. I loathed getting up early, but shortly after taking my pills, I was awake and motivated to get ready and go about my day. It made boring classes seem more interesting. It gives you this focus and drive to be productive. I don't feel like myself without them. I'm cranky, unmotivated, eat and sleep a lot if I don't take it. Just be cautious with dosage. You do develop a tolerance to it over time. If your blood pressure goes way up and you feel jittery or shaky, you're taking too high of a mg. People should start with 10 or 20mg at first."

For Fatigue "I just tried the Alvogen brand of amphetamine/dextroamphetamine this month because of my pharmacy. It is absolutely awful. I feel like my body is screaming, absolutely doesn’t help with energy or attention. Just increases anxiety. And I’m extremely lethargic. I strongly recommend against them."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Adderall (amphetamine and dextroamphetamine) immediate release has greatly (95%) improved my symptoms of ADHD including concentration, focus, memory, attention span, retention of information, and to some extent my energy and grades. It's a very strong stimulant, so it does have temporary side effects. Most will go away in two to four weeks, like euphoria, anxiety, and teeth grinding, but the dry mouth and insomnia if taken late will not subside for months. However, it has helped me A LOT."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Life-changing, paradigm-shifting drug for ADHD, combined type. I started with Ritalin, minimal improvement. My quality of life improved in all areas with Adderall XR, brand name is effective, smooth, and a miracle-wonder drug. Not the generic XR, avoid it at all costs! The generic gave me intense, bad side effects with minimal or no benefit. With the generic, I felt as if I took street drugs (haven’t ever, so I don’t really know), clenched my teeth, tensed my muscles, massive insomnia, generally tense and anxious both socially and professionally. I was diagnosed with ADHD in college at age 32, 18 years ago. After Adderall and only Adderall XR, I could drive safely, focus/concentrate, complete tasks before moving on to another task, and respond instead of react. No insomnia with the brand, I even nap on it sometimes! Helps with depression too."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I change meds frequently because I build tolerance really fast. Almost every year I switch, and most recently switched from Adderall XR 60 mg + IR 30 mg booster to 62.5 mg Mydayis. I LOVE this medication. It runs in the background, so I feel almost no anxiety anymore- it's not nearly as aggressive. I even stopped needing my anxiety meds. I like to take my pills around 7-7:30, then go back to sleep 'til 9:30 or so. It is perfect timing for my days. And you don't have to eat when you take these, so it's possible to just roll over and go back to sleep 'til it's time for breakfast."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for Narcolepsy "I had severe fatigue for my 20s, 30s, and most of my 40s, and OCD, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I started Adderall XR 20 mg and it was beautiful. I asked my doctor to crank up the dose to 50 then 60 mg and ran into problems: fatigue, blurry vision, depression, anxiety, and insomnia. This is a wonderful but strong med. Just take enough to do the trick and vacation once a week. I'm back on 30 XR Adderall and better than ever."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Adderall XR is the only thing that has helped me be normal. The very first day on this medication, my anxiety was gone, the crushing pressure on my chest and racing thoughts were gone. I focused the majority of the day at work, was able to comprehend what people were saying to me, I did well on all my testing for nursing school. This medication has changed every aspect of my life. Now, after being on it for months, my insurance has taken it off the covered list. The generic version of the medication is not good. I am now paying out of pocket after 2 med trials because it made me feel hopeless, and the Adderall brand XR is the only thing thus far that’s worked for me for my ADHD."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "25-year-old female with ADHD and MDD and am currently taking 30 mg of Adderall XR twice daily along with Celexa 20 mg. My new psychiatrist switched me to XR after my GP had me on IR, which caused raised BP and anxiety. Adderall XR has given me back control over my life. I am no longer struggling to complete tasks, have endless patience, have become more naturally social, and less avoidant of people. I no longer get overwhelmed at the thought of having to do something. I am much less impulsive, especially financially, as I got into $17k of debt and am finally organizing my life to pay it off. The only negative is that it is addictive. Before adding Celexa, I had a difficult time weaning off and taking tolerance breaks. I would go through severe withdrawals and depression. Celexa has helped me lower my dose and allows me to take breaks without feeling like I am going to die. Overall, a good medication when responsibly monitored and taken. Really changed my life."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Wellbutrin did nothing for me, and Strattera caused erectile dysfunction and significant sleep disorders. My doctor slowly increased my Adderall XR dosage until I hit the 'sweet spot,' which was 30 mg for me. 40 mg made me a little jittery and anxious. In the correct dosage, Adderall has improved my quality of life with no side effects. I should note that if I miss a day, I am fine, but any longer without it and I become lethargic - so remember to refill your prescription as soon as you can, so you don't run out. I take the generic of this drug, and it works great."
