Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for Narcolepsy "Generic Adderall is not the same. I feel immediately awful when I realize they switched me to generic dextroamp (amp salts). Not sure what brand. I heard Teva might have moved distribution centers and have been alternating approved cheaper alternative ingredients. Well, guess what, they don’t work AT ALL. Check the generic brands when you get your script filled and see how you feel. The old generic brand I took worked just fine. I cannot get out of bed for weeks because whatever 'similar' generic cheap alternatives they are using do not make the cut. Welcome back debilitating fatigue!"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Since being switched to the generic version of Adderall, Dextroamp-Amphetamine manufactured by Alvogen, I have been experiencing negative side effects for the past three days. I have become irritable, emotional, and easily agitated by noises, including music that I previously enjoyed. I have also been experiencing fatigue, lack of motivation, and difficulty reading. My speech has become slurred and confused, and I have developed tension headaches. I want my sparkle back, and I couldn't care less about anything. I’m surprised I’m writing this review as I am currently feeling scattered and embarrassed."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I’m 48-year-old woman that was diagnosed with ADHD in elementary school. When I began (on holiday) taking it, I’m extremely fatigued/zombie the first 3 days. I am not nearly as engaged with anyone/anything around me (I talk 97% less when I’m on Adderall) and it makes me feel less cognitive. I feel like it dumbs me down. After the 3rd day, I start to feel better and those 'tranquilizer effects' go away. Adderall is an emotional regulator for me. It works wonders for my impulsivity, racing thoughts, fidgeting, feeling overwhelmed, anger, anxiety, zoning out, and my mouth. Yes, my mouth has always been my biggest challenge and has caused me tremendous social/professional problems. While in a perfect world I’d be on no medication, I have to recommend Adderall for anyone who's suffering from ADHD, because it has changed my overall quality of life for the best. Sparkle on, beautiful people!"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Adderall XR was originally prescribed to me for ADD, but it worked best as a terrific antidepressant. However, now that I've been on it for 20 straight years at 40-80 mg daily, it has very little antidepressant effect now. It's Adderall burnout -- apparently it strips the brain of dopamine -- the feel-good hormone. I still have to take it just to do anything at all each day. The worst effect is insomnia -- no matter how early I take it, it keeps me up for 24 hours unless I finally have to take Seroquel for sleep. Seroquel is the only thing that will knock out Adderall XR. But I hate it because it makes me so damn sluggish in the morning, awful. I cannot believe it's 2020, and there is still no decent antidepressant medication available."

For ADHD "I'm having the same issue as some others described. I take it and I get tired and lazy. Then hours later, it feels like there's caffeine in my system or something, and I'm awake, but the medication doesn't work well. I also have noticed the poor quality of generics lately, and I've tried a lot of them. Way too much filler that doesn't even digest or break down in a lot of them. Much less is this one, but it makes me sleepy some days."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "So, I have had ADHD since I was young. I never liked the pills they gave me when I was younger because I was already a thin kid and then taking Adderall I would eat even less. So I stopped taking the medication. When I was taking this medication, I got Most Improved Student! I went without the drug for years, until just about 2 years ago I started taking it again, and it has helped me so much! I am very thankful for this drug. I suffer from fatigue and many, many other problems. This drug is one of many I need to think straight and to not get out of control. It also helps me big time with my anger issues. Hope this helps someone! Star Kid is out!"

For Fatigue "I am a 41-year-old female. As a child and teenager, I was always high-strung but managed to get good grades in school. I had my first child at 18. After my child was born, my energy was cut in half, and I did have quite a bit of depression. Four children later, my youngest started noticing short-term memory loss even for easy tasks, along with severe lack of energy. I have been taking Adderall for 2 years now. My family noticed a great improvement in my ability to organize, take care of the house, and my attitude was more positive. If you take your medicines as prescribed, the medicine is wonderful. It changed my life for the better."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for Narcolepsy "I had severe fatigue for my 20s, 30s, and most of my 40s, and OCD, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I started Adderall XR 20 mg and it was beautiful. I asked my doctor to crank up the dose to 50 then 60 mg and ran into problems: fatigue, blurry vision, depression, anxiety, and insomnia. This is a wonderful but strong med. Just take enough to do the trick and vacation once a week. I'm back on 30 XR Adderall and better than ever."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I wasn't diagnosed with ADHD until my 30s. I am now 47. My biggest struggle is trying to stay awake, focused, and on task. On Adderall, I was finally able to organize all the billions of thoughts racing around in my head and focus in on the tasks at hand. Downside - as the years went on, I went from 5 mg 2x a day to 20 mg 2x a day over a period of 10 or so years. I ended up getting off because I started feeling very hot all the time - shorts in 40-degree weather were comfortable for me. The other problem was I was starting to sleep 12 hours a day (work from home, so literally worked, slept, ate, slept) - this resolved after stopping the Adderall. Loved how it kept me efficient in tasking, but extreme fatigue forced me to find another alternative."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I have ADD, Attention Deficit Disorder, Fatigue, and Low Motivation. I also have Major Depression. If I didn't have Adderall, my dad would mostly see me staying in bed all day sleeping or just thinking. Adderall helps me a lot, it gets my brain actually working. It makes me want to do the things I loved before I was depressed, and it kinda helps with the fatigue. My legs still feel tired 24/7, but I can move when I'm on Adderall."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I do not like this medicine at all. I feel awful! I screwed up on my test and studying because of it. It is not for me. I was on Vyvanse, but the only issue that I had with Vyvanse was that it only lasted 4 hours! I miss Vyvanse so much. It made me feel so good and more confident, and my focus was on a thousand, and it helped with some anxiety! My doctor and I wanted to give Mydayis a try because it lasts longer. It does last longer, but I feel depressed, lazy, less focused, and just drugged, and that's it. I'm calling my doctor tomorrow to let him know I can't stand this drug at all! I want Vyvanse back right away. I really do hope that they can accommodate me. I will give this Mydayis to the pharmacy so that my health insurance will know that I'm not trying to keep it. It's been only a week since I have been on it. I'm not a fan at all. I want off. It's messing me up."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I started taking Adderall in 2012 to 2015 with a 15-month break in 2014 due to pregnancy and breastfeeding. I was diagnosed with ADD as a child but held off on taking medication until I was 26. Adderall immediately helped with focus and even energy and motivation. I excelled at work and finally was able to complete tasks instead of starting them and trailing off to something else. In 2015, when I discontinued Adderall, I was taking a pretty high prescribed dose of 30 mg twice a day. I started noticing the cons of the come downs were outweighing the pros of when the medication was working. I had anxiety, irritability, and extreme fatigue. They switched me to Dex, which was much smoother but has increased my BP. I try Vyvanse tomorrow."

For ADHD "I have been on and off generic Adderall for many years. Currently, I have been prescribed 30 mg twice a day. For the last couple of months, it's been a nightmare. It's been on backorder and then changed the generic name from amphetamine salts combo to amphetamine/dextroamphetamine combo. This is only because I have had severe headaches, extreme fatigue, and a loss of motivation. My ADHD has been out of the roof. It's frustrating because I feel like I did before taking any generic Adderall. I have even been concerned that maybe I was receiving a placebo rather than the actual medication. That's probably far-fetched, but it's been such a decline for me. There is something missing from this generic form, and it is the essential thing that is needed to control my ADHD. I have even gained a lot of weight over the past two months. Hopefully, something will give, I can't imagine it affecting people like this and nothing changing."

For Fatigue "I learned early in my college career that Adderall allowed me to be more productive during my day without the feeling of full-blown crashing. I do not struggle with paying attention or ADD/ADHD, but I did struggle with extreme laziness/fatigue on a regular basis when I reached college age. Prior to that, I never had an issue with motivation or sleepy feeling, per se, but one day it hit me like a brick and I was unable to shake it. Which led me to lying to my doctor about having attention issues to obtain a prescription. It also was somewhat of an antidepressant at the same time. I have never struggled with depression, but I did always seem to see the brighter side of things while on the medication."

For ADHD "I have had ADHD ever since I was 15 years old. I was diagnosed. I am 59 years old now, and I recently picked up my 30 mg Adderall, and the manufacturer is called Alvogen. This generic for amphetamine salt 30 mg is by far the worst generic brand I have taken in all these years. It didn't help me focus, I felt very fatigued, and I couldn't concentrate. I was all over the place. I am going to talk with my doctor and see what we can do. I have been on this medication way too long to have it not working for me anymore. I cannot function in everyday living without my ADHD medication working the way it should."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia over two years ago, have been struggling with it for about 7. Recently went to a psychiatrist because my pain doctor and PCP suggested it because of me complaining about concentration and fatigue issues. I have only been on this a short time, but so far it's been a life saver. I was started on a low dose, of course, just 10mg once a day IR. I could easily take 3 of these a day. My pain doctor recently put me on the lowest dose of a Butrans patch, and it's made a huge difference, but my energy was still gone and I still struggled (I only worked on average 20 hours a week because doing much more has been too hard and I have an easy job in an office). This Adderall may save my life. I'd write more, but it won't let me."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Taking 25 mg takes 2 hours to kick in. Also take with Pristiq 100 mg. I feel tired at midday. So it does work, but no real motivation like Adderall gives you. I will increase to 37.5 mg and stick with it for a few months. Adderall XR seems to be up and down but is more potent. No big crash, but fatigue on this med is a problem."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I've been on Adderall for about 4 years. I was having an extremely hard time focusing, extreme fatigue, a general feeling of being lost, and overly emotional and unstable. Adderall was an absolute miracle when I started on it. My trouble paying attention, loss of interest in life, constant sleepiness, and emotional swings were gone. It made me genuinely happy and self-confident for the first time in my life."

For ADHD "I have been on Adderall for several years, and the Sandoz brand is toxic and horrible! At first, it is like a sugar pill-no effect-and then dizziness, headache, feeling more confused, spaced out and mind blank, extreme fatigue. I can't believe this is on the market. The FDA honestly needs to step up their game and monitor the generics. It is an up-and-down roller coaster with different manufacturers each month. This is insane. They are robbing us blind in the pharmaceutical business. They give us something toxic or a placebo. What is happening to the medications now? Please do not take the Sandoz. Read the court documents about reviews on them, and they came from the company, making themselves sound great as a pretend customer! I cannot believe how bad this medication from this manufacturer is."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Was diagnosed with ADHD at 18 years old. I was prescribed and am taking Adderall 20 mg XR. This drug makes me feel like an emotionless zombie at times. My anxiety is fluctuating a lot, and my mood is constantly changing. I like to go out late sometimes, but when it wears off, I don’t have any energy to do so. Friends and family have become increasingly less important, it seems. I have minor scoliosis, and it makes my back pain a lot worse at times. This drug definitely allows me to focus and get ahead. At the end of the day, I don’t know if it’s worth it though. Might need a lower dose."

For ADHD "I've been prescribed Adderall for 10 years+ and without it, mentally and physically I would be worse. I do have soreness, achy body, etc., but have other health problems. Adderall has ROTTED MY TEETH OUT. Being 42 years old, I fear my ability to retain without medicine as I age. I have severe withdrawal, to include extreme fatigue and severe constipation. I need the Adderall and it helps some, as without it life would be more difficult. All in all, I would not manage without it very well, but it is less effective as I have been taking it for years. Take care and God bless all. Be safe!"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I take the extended release once a day. I recently got a dose increase for my extreme fatigue. It has been about 3 weeks, and I do not like the symptoms that occur with it. I feel like a zombie, I don't enjoy talking when I am on my medicine. I get extremely bad, frequent headaches, I am even more tired when it wears off, but I am unable to sleep. I get really irritable and moody. With the lower dose, the main problematic symptom I would have was the dry mouth, but that was manageable."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Mydayis was a game changer for me. Adderall XR and Vyvanse seemed to only last about 6 hours, unlike Mydayis, which lasts about 14. However, it takes a really long time to kick in, and sometimes I have even fallen back to sleep. I have ADHD and lupus, so I am constantly fatigued, but Mydayis helps me have the energy to get out of bed. For me, I find 20 mg of Adderall and Mydayis in the morning works best. I feel the effects of the Adderall within 30 minutes, but by the time it wears off, Mydayis has taken effect. I also feel it's more of an even amount of focus and concentration, and I never have that midday drag where I need to take an IR dose. I don’t like taking a dose midday because my body can be weird with all types of ADHD meds. Some days it's like I take a placebo, while other days I am sweating and feel wired, which is easily solved with cardio! Mydayis works the best, it's just the $$$$ super expensive. I hope they create a generic. I think this is best for adults as well!"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Started 25 mg Mydayis about three weeks ago. Was on 30 mg Vyvanse. Vyvanse was good, but it took two hours to kick in and wore off about 5-6 hours after it kicked in for me. (I am likely a fast metabolizer.) I am now feeling lazy, a little depressed, and I am eating more food. I cannot tell when it hits or wears off. Doesn’t feel like it’s doing much. Maybe my dose was too low? Not sure if I will try a higher dose or change back to Vyvanse. Wish I knew how to compare dosages between Vyvanse and Mydayis."

For ADHD "I agree with the above. I have been going through hell with all these BS generics. Alvogen feels like I just took candy, as it does NOTHING. I didn't think it could get worse, but OHHH it did, as this month I received Sunrise Pharmaceutical. This is a new level of trash. I can't concentrate, focus, forget what I say, am fatigued... from a stim? Really... I never took ADD after 4-5 pm. I can take this at 10 and pass right out. In the morning, I can take triple my dose and still fall right back asleep. I've been on ADD for 20+ years and have never experienced anything like this, or relatively close. God bless all, you're not alone."
