Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Since being switched to the generic version of Adderall, Dextroamp-Amphetamine manufactured by Alvogen, I have been experiencing negative side effects for the past three days. I have become irritable, emotional, and easily agitated by noises, including music that I previously enjoyed. I have also been experiencing fatigue, lack of motivation, and difficulty reading. My speech has become slurred and confused, and I have developed tension headaches. I want my sparkle back, and I couldn't care less about anything. I’m surprised I’m writing this review as I am currently feeling scattered and embarrassed."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "If you're taking for ADHD please note there are a lot of side effects, having said this, they are sometimes serious so take note to talk to your doctor. If you get cold fingers or toes, make sure to consult your doctor as it's a syndrome that can be prevented. It does help with focus, it helps with impulse control, it helps with a general overall euphoric feeling and it can cause you to lose a lot of weight. Be sure to eat, EAT, don't shake your head, you know I'm talking to you. Eat and stay hydrated it causes you to urinate a LOT, make sure to supplement what you are losing. It will cause tremors, shakes, and irritability, again, eat food. Make sure to stick to a 2000 calorie diet AT LEAST. May cause muscle fatigue and extreme soreness, stay hydrated, make sure of this. Some say it causes better grades in school, well, to an extent. It just makes you write a lot. Eat Eat Hydrate And maybe take melatonin to help promote rest. I warned and entertained you."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Adderall is very useful, but recently I was ignorant and thought it would be okay to take a little extra at night to help clean my house. I took a bigger extra dose than I should have, and a few hours later, I felt pretty awful. I am very productive and more positive on the right dose of this med, so I recommend trying it or Desoxyn because it is said to have fewer side effects like anxiety, panic, and irritability post-dose. Like all meds, Adderall is a blessing when dosed right and a curse when dosed incorrectly. I noticed that I paced around a bit when on it, but I didn’t feel that anxious. It isn’t fun and enjoyable to take a big dose, don’t do it. God made everything to be used in moderation, and it is much better for the whole society when we obey the wise instructions of our doctors and leaders. Be careful, obey your doctor, and may God bless you all to succeed in your treatment plans and in your lives. Amen"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I’ve been on Adderall XR 20 mg since October 6th, 2020. I have to say this medication is life-changing and your psychiatrist, doctor, or whatever will try and find the right dosage for you. I’m 22 years old, male, and I noticed the medication working within an hour. I’m about 220 pounds, 5’8”, and despite that, it still kicked in relatively fast. The side effects I notice the most are as follows: dry mouth, appetite suppression, some irritability, and insomnia on occasion. Adderall XR for me lasts anywhere from 8-12 hours. If it wears off, the medical professional, in most cases, will add Adderall IR to take in the afternoon since upping the dose of XR will not increase duration, only the intensity of the medication itself. ADHD medication is all about finding what’s right for YOU, don’t give up if it doesn’t get manageable or fixed after the first try."

For ADHD "The generic manufacturer of amphetamine & dextroamphetamine, Sandoz, is the only one that works for me. This month the manufacturer is Northstar and last month Aurobindo, and they are garbage. They don’t help AT ALL with my focus. Zero. I am irritable. I am getting nothing done and my anxiety is sky high. I am going to stop taking these brands and ask the pharmacy for Sandoz. I complained to the FDA and urge others to do so as well. This is ridiculous."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Adderall is effective, but it comes with consequences. Both to your physical and mental health. I am 27 years old, I have taken Adderall on and off for about 10 years. Started it my freshman year of college. It was AMAZING at first! Lost that freshman 15, got straight A's, actually ENJOYED my work. Then I started noticing the crash symptoms. Tired, withdrawn, emotionless, sleepless. I stopped taking it because I hated the way it made me feel, but I realized how much more productive I am when taking it. When I start taking it again my immune system is shot, I'm constantly sick with something, I get super irritable. When I don't take it I can barely get out of bed and I always gain weight, which always sucks. It's a vicious cycle."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I have suffered my entire life with ADD. For a while, Adderall helped. Then, as I turned 49, it seemed to make me more anxious, irritable, short-tempered, and I had no patience for stupidity! Upon trying Mydayis, I was immediately impressed. I was finishing projects, getting things done right, and able to focus for longer durations of time-long enough to complete tasks at hand. I feel so much better."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I have been taking Adderall for 2 years now (3 of the 30mg tablets a day). It's a great way to get your work done in school and anything else you may need motivation to do. It also makes me more social and interested in things I wouldn't normally be interested in. The bad thing about it is that if you go even one day without it you eat 3 times more than you usually would and you feel irritable and agitated. Overall, couldn't live without it."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I've been taking Adderall since my sophomore year of high school, and I'm about halfway through college now. When I first started taking it, I went from D's and F's to straight A's. I loved everything. I wanted to learn everything. I also lost about twenty pounds just from the loss of appetite. But now that I've been on it for a few years, when I don't take it, the withdrawals hit so hard. I can't even remember what the real person I was before I started taking it. My appetite skyrockets, and I don't want to do anything but sit around all day. No motivation. I love being on it and being so productive, but sometimes I get so overly focused I get really irritable with people around me."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Having been recently diagnosed with ADD at the age of 31, I would have to say that stimulant therapy has been a godsend! My doctor first prescribed Ritalin-SR, and I felt it was not as effective as it could be, so she changed my prescription to Adderall XR 20 mg and I feel it is working. I feel more focused at work with better concentration. I don't procrastinate as often as I have (my entire life), but one unexpected result of the therapy is I no longer feel irritable and short-tempered! I also don't feel frustrated as much as I used to. My staff and co-workers have noticed the difference and have told me they don't feel the need to 'walk on eggshells' around me! So in summation, Adderall is certainly doing the trick!"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I have struggled with ADD since I was in grade school. Although diagnosed, my mother was not about putting me on medication. That being said, I struggled really bad until I graduated. I am now 22 and have been on almost any ADD/ADHD medication you can think of. To keep it short and sweet, Concerta and Focalin worked for about an hour, then I turned into a horrible person to be around - extreme mood swings, aggression, agitation, really easily annoyed, and hostile. My doctor decided to put me on Adderall XR 10 mg tablets, and let me tell you, it has saved my life! It lasts all day for me, I am more focused, my heart rate doesn't jump to extremes like it did on Focalin. It actually makes me more relaxed and enjoyable to be around. 10/10"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "This is my first time going on anything. At 45, I have finally admitted I have an issue focusing. I am the person with a million ideas that starts everything and never finishes anything. My therapist prescribed me Mydayis 50 mg. Started at 25, then upped to 50. It immediately changed my life. I am so focused and get so much done. Not just at work, but around the house. I can work until 10 and go to sleep or work until 3 a.m. if I choose. It's been wonderful for the 6 months I've been on it. I have never tried anything else, but last time I visited my therapist a few days ago, she asked me if it made me moody and irritable, and I said no, it puts me in a good mood and works all day. She said she was going to switch from Adderall to Mydayis, lol. I hope everyone finds the right combination or dosage because this has completely changed my life, my marriage, and my respect from peers at the office."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Against the advice of my teachers, my mom decided not to medicate me as a kid since my grades were fine. As I got older, I got worse, concentrating was impossible for me, and my grades dropped... my mind never stopped! I have been on Adderall for almost 9 years now. This drug saved me, it worked great! The downside... after this long, I have built a tolerance, get very irritable, and feel kinda foggy or dazed by the end of the day. I'm going to try something new for a while and see what happens."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I am 32 years old. On ADD meds since 3rd grade. Was on 30 mg XR Adderall in am & 10 mg Adderall at lunch. Doctor recommended Mydayis based off lasting period. He prescribed 25 mg. 1 month in, great, not to mention I was able to fall asleep for the first time in my life without taking a sleep aid. But after 1 month, all hell broke loose. Began to notice an odd feeling of like flat line, not happy, not sad. I then got this odd feeling in my chest about 2 p.m. every day plus anxious. Contacted doc & he said it worked great month 1, so let's bump it down to 12.5 mg. Did nothing, called the doc back & said I wanted bumped back up. I am now on day 3 of taking the 25 mg & I am short of breath & I have almost a hollow feeling in my chest starting at approximately noon. I'm clenching my teeth, feel irritable & anxious. I've tried Ritalin, Concerta, XR Adderall & Adderall. Recommendations for someone that has taken a lot, and none of the other meds mentioned above have worked?"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for Narcolepsy "I'm a 52 yr. old male. I started taking Adderall about 14 months ago. For the first 2 weeks, I didn't notice much change, then I noticed that when I took the medication in the morning, suddenly I had a lot more energy and it seemed like I could concentrate better and not be as agitated about life in general. I take my 2nd dose at lunchtime. The increase in my energy level was keeping me moving more during the day, so it allowed me to rest better at night. Every morning when I wake, I go straight for the Adderall. Overall, I think Adderall has improved my quality of life, and I think Adderall should be prescribed to the aged for the same effects. It's not going to work the same for all, so close monitoring for 30 days on a 2 per day 15 mg dose."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I've been taking Adderall XR for 5 years now, and it's been working fine, but my doctor offered for me to try Mydayis so that it would last a bit longer. I've been taking Mydayis 37 mg for 2 months now and have become increasingly irritable, VERY DEPRESSED, and unmotivated. I even relapsed with self-harm, which I haven't done in 6 years. I also had my first extreme panic attack. I was finally in a good mindset before I took this, which took YEARS of therapy and medications. If you have struggled with depression in the past and still struggle with it occasionally, I would not suggest this drug AT ALL."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I have ADHD, and this medication helps with everyday life. I can focus on what I'm doing. The only real problem I have with this medication is the fact that it affects how I treat others. In other words, I get agitated a lot faster. I don't want to be angry, and before I took this medication, I would always turn the other cheek, but now, unfortunately, I get really angry really fast."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I'm a 31-year-old female, 5'4", 115 lbs. I was first prescribed Adderall in 2012, so I've taken it about 3 1/2 years. Within that time, there's been a few situations that forced me to go without meds for a week or more, which reminded me how much it helps! Without it, I could sleep 18 hours for days and still be wanting to sleep an hour or so after getting up! I can sleep while taking it, but don't have the strong compulsion to. On the first day taking it, I've learned to only take half because if not, it feels like I'm on cocaine, even after just a week of not having it. But the second day and thereafter is fine. I never experienced any 'comedown' like some people. The only negative is, without it, I get agitated easily and get on my own nerves when it comes to lack of concentration, forgetfulness, and sleeping too much."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for Narcolepsy "Adderall has really helped me stay alert and concentrate, as I have chronic pain issues which leave me sleepy and unfocused. I have the energy to enjoy life again. I do have difficulty sleeping, and also since I do not take XR, I can 'crush' it if I forget my second dose. I have noticed it makes me most irritable and difficult to be around. This side effect seems to have waned over time, but I am still occasionally cranky when it wears off."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I have both ADD and ADHD and also narcolepsy. This medicine does control moods and also helps with depression I have noticed. I'm going to a psychiatrist for further notice, but I can say it helps me a lot. But when the pill gets out of the system, you feel somewhat down and frustrated. But once it kicks in, you're on your feet, not depressed and doing things around the house, etc. But the downside is the foods you intake. I feel like any vitamin C kills the drug. And it's bad that your body needs vitamin C, like apples, etc., but in the long run of 10/10, this is a great drug for people with ADHD and ADD also sleeping a lot."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I had taken Adderall for many years and was slowly on the decline. I was deeply depressed and had an absolute hopeless and helpless outlook on life with no relief. I had psychosis, delusions, and impulsive behavior, which I never had. I began having issues with memory, thinking, reasoning, decision-making, tasks, and concentration. I would become very agitated if interrupted. I was very aggressive and agitated constantly, it was at least 98% of the time in 10 years. I read horror stories about stimulants, namely the amphetamine line of them. I subsequently tapered off of them and feel 100% better than before. I have no depressive symptoms, delusions, memory problems, agitation, or aggressiveness. I was not happy with life, and my personal relationships were very toxic. I wasted almost 10 years of my life feeling like this and have other personal complications that resulted from the use of these toxic drugs."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I started taking Adderall in 2012 to 2015 with a 15-month break in 2014 due to pregnancy and breastfeeding. I was diagnosed with ADD as a child but held off on taking medication until I was 26. Adderall immediately helped with focus and even energy and motivation. I excelled at work and finally was able to complete tasks instead of starting them and trailing off to something else. In 2015, when I discontinued Adderall, I was taking a pretty high prescribed dose of 30 mg twice a day. I started noticing the cons of the come downs were outweighing the pros of when the medication was working. I had anxiety, irritability, and extreme fatigue. They switched me to Dex, which was much smoother but has increased my BP. I try Vyvanse tomorrow."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Not at all what I expected. Have used Vyvanse with success, but went back to Adderall, more flexibility dosing. Can take a second dose during the day if necessary, or not. Mydayis takes an unusually long time to kick in. Have found that I am much more irritable, foggy, and have experienced feelings of being overwhelmed at work doing things that I normally handle day in and day out with no problem. I am, for the most part, easygoing, everything seems to annoy me since I began using Mydayis. Also, have experienced headaches during lag times, body aches, and flu-like symptoms. A lot of the time, I feel worse than I do unmedicated. Do not like Mydayis at all. Will not be refilling."
