Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I switched from Adderall XR 20 mg (3 years) to Mydayis 25 mg (1 month) but felt no positive or negative effects (like taking nothing), so upped the dose to 37.5 mg (~2 weeks). I’ve personally never had worse side effects from any drug. Most bothersome were strong headaches with sensitivity to light, dizziness, unusual motion sickness/nausea, achy muscles, restlessness, racing heart/palpitations, fatigue, and irritability... plus other common Adderall-ish side effects. But, yeah, takes a few hours to take effect and not covered by insurance ($100+/30-day supply), so will not continue. Hope this helps. Best of luck to you."

For ADHD "Prescribed for ADD and excessive daytime sleepiness. Very good at helping me focus when I need it. It also works too well for my fatigue, I went from feeling like a narcoleptic to having insomnia. I had to cut back on my prescribed dose because it was too much. I take only 5 mg when I need it. Even though this medication will wake you up, you absolutely must manage your time and get some quality sleep, because most side effects come from lack of sleep. Be careful with this as it can be habit-forming and addictive. The key is to eat well and sleep well when on this medication."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I take 5 milligrams as needed for school. I take it right before school, maybe around 6 am, school starts around 7 am. I've noticed extreme dizziness, I get hot so easily, even more anxious, so much more depressed, so tired, terrible headaches, and excessive talking. I wake up in the morning to bump into every possible wall, my vision is completely blacked out. I can't walk for more than a mile without feeling faint. I eat well and drink lots of water (due to a horrible experience with Vyvanse, in which I lost 20 lbs). Not only that, but falling asleep is killer. I've never taken such a small dose and have such poor results."

For Fatigue "My August 2021 refill of 30 mg instant release generic Adderall from Aurobindo is absolutely garbage. I take a fairly high dosage for my chronic fatigue and ADHD symptoms, which normally greatly diminish my symptoms, however, whatever I was given this time feels like I would be better off taking nothing and have the same effect. If I could safely test this theory, I guarantee that if I took twice my normal dose, I still wouldn’t have any noticeable relief from my symptoms. There is clearly something very wrong with this formulation, which has caused me to waste a month essentially bedridden due to my chronic fatigue and brain fog caused by Lyme disease (as well as narcoleptic symptoms), as Adderall was the only thing that would be able to get me out of bed in the past!!!"

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine "My cardiologist, who diagnosed me with dysautonomia, prescribed me Adderall in high school because my symptoms included extreme fatigue, brain fog, and bad orthostatic hypotension. He did not warn me about all the side effects I would experience (due partly to the fact that I do not have ADHD), and I was given a high dose to start. It did help with my fatigue and immensely improved my focus (can’t complain there, I was hyper-focused), brain fog, and hypotension, but there were some questionable side effects I experienced for the almost two years I took it: complete lack of appetite, significant weight loss, resting tachycardia, and angina (my dysautonomia makes my HR very high to begin with). Overall, it definitely improved my quality of life for a time, but it seems like a questionable Rx for people with this condition who are hyperadrenal, already experiencing an overactive sympathetic ANS, and have a high HR due to the cardio effects."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "I just started taking Mydayis. I, as well, am having problems with it (as I did with Adderall) taking too long to kick in. 4-5 hours. Felt totally scatterbrained until the med would kick in. Decided to take it at bedtime. WOW! I was able to get up right away and get my day going, getting to work and able to focus better. The thing with Adderall is that it didn't last long enough. So I was switched to Mydayis but think I need to take it at bedtime as well. With it supposed to be longer acting (14-16 hours), I'm hoping I can sleep good, get up in the AM, focus and get going without the fatigue and not able to focus AND have it last all day at work. Worth a try."

For Fatigue "Wow, here I thought I was the only one having problems with amphetamine/dextroamphetamine generic. I've been telling my family, and I finally asked the pharmacist at CVS, and she said, truthfully, that I was not the only one with these issues. So then I started doing some research because this morning I took a 30 mg in Saint Louis, and I swear to you, the same thing happened to me yesterday. Today I'm falling asleep. I can never fall asleep while taking that. No joke, zero energy."

For ADHD "Lannett 30 mg capsules (ELi-515) have made me severely depressed and anxious. Impaired thinking, blurry vision, can't sleep or focus or get energy are just a few side effects. I see a lot of you are in a similar boat. If you can relate, please fill out an FDA online consumer report form."

For ADHD "I was prompted by my doctor to switch to 25 mg of Mydayis from 40 mg of Vyvanse. After 2 weeks of being on Mydayis, I can confidently say that this was the worst decision I've ever made. Symptoms that I've experienced include nausea (vomited 20 minutes before writing this), stomach pains, flu-like body aches, confusion, fatigue, dry throat, headaches, and frequent urination. Compared to Vyvanse, there is no competition. None of my ADHD symptoms were treated effectively by this medication. In fact, I find myself significantly worse off after taking this medication due to the constant fatigue (which is odd for an amphetamine) and extreme nausea. Even now, I'm having an extremely difficult time writing this, constantly spacing out, dry-heaving, etc. I plan on switching back to Vyvanse, which worked quite well at treating my ADHD symptoms, and might try a 50 mg dosage instead. In conclusion, I absolutely would not recommend Mydayis for treating ADHD."

For Fatigue "Had it prescribed for ADHD, but this really helps me stay alert with my fatigue. I have depression and feel so tired all the time. I’m always yawning and can’t even enjoy my time with friends, and I always want to go home after like 5 minutes. I feel dead inside, and my head feels cloudy and lightheaded, but when I take Adderall, I feel alive and like I can actually do things. I do not take it every day, this is NOT AN ANTIDEPRESSANT—though it can feel like it. This can make depression WORSE because it is a fast-acting drug, it does not build up in your system like a normal antidepressant. Once it wears off, it can make you reliant on it because it shortly increases dopamine and serotonin levels = motivation and feeling good, and then your body adjusts and relies on getting those hormones that way. I am also taking Fluvoxamine for my depression, anxiety, OCD to balance it out. My doctor increased my dose for Fluvoxamine to 200 mg to battle the increased depression from the Adderall."

For ADHD "About pharmacists being rude and acting like you’re crazy if you say anything about the bad results, 100% lying. My sister has been a pharmacist for 8 months, in school, they teach them generics aren’t equal. If you are having problems with these, try getting your doctor to prescribe modafinil. Been on Adderall for 4 years, but before I was on modafinil, and I think it’s way better. Problem is, they aren’t prescribed for ADHD/ADD. Took them for overnight shift work. It’s more of a clean feeling. Gets rid of brain fog, fatigue, and makes you feel happy. I moved, and my new doctor, who is great, but I can’t get him to prescribe them. I would rather be taking modafinil. I have bipolar II disorder. Unfortunately, modafinil isn’t marketed toward it or ADHD. If you’re able to, try this medication. Fillers are in their books they use while in college. My sister even had to write a report. She used my experiences. Good luck to everyone, and maybe the Alvogen brand will be good to me."

Amphetamine / dextroamphetamine for ADHD "Started taking Adderall about 3.5 years ago while in my early twenties for ADD. After already being diagnosed at around 7, my parents refused to put me on medicines. I was never able to sit still, go a day without being extremely restless in class, and many times was sent to the office for being loud. After extreme fatigue and no motivation to finish anything, including zero motivation to work, depression, etc., I started Adderall. Has helped so much (at first) things got done, class/work was way smoother. And had interest in things I always struggled to absorb. Cons... tolerance builds fast. Sleep is a must or you feel like a corpse. (After the first few weeks, sleep comes easier, though.) Nervous. Jittery."
